FMP Evaluation

Production Process Evaluation
Research
• What happened within your research? Within my research I looked at all
podcasts such as Rooster teeth, they all have a comedic person in the cast
of the group.
• How did these help you? Yeah, they kind of made the podcast seem more
good in a way where it seems more natural.
• Did you research enough products? I enjoyed most the products that I
watched they seemed to have good flow and a quick
• How would this help your product in the future? This would make me
have to aim to the comedic standard of the actual podcast itself
Planning
• In the first few days me and Josh went into the studio we recorded a few
test podcasts consisting of 10-20 mins and split them into 5 min podcasts
• The weaknesses of my planning were that people weren't always available
to record with so I had to improvise
Time Management
• Time management was good, we had the improvised script that covered
the topics within the podcast
Technical Qualities
• The similarity's is the flow of the podcast even
though they are scripted and ours is
improvised it still ahs the quality's of a
scripted podcast
Aural Qualities
• My work sounds good, it sounds fluid and
funny as some people have said.
• It is all improvised as it seems more natural as
well as it seeming scripted and it seems more
like it’s a actual conversation
Audience Appeal
My target audience is aged 16+ as it does include English profanity and quite
sensitive topics to certain audiences, it covers mostly games, social media and
influences within social media, such as celebrity's and you tubers (Logan and
Jake Paul) and I used royalty free music and music that Is very appropriate for
the podcast.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
Talked on lots of detailed about the games it
uses a good background music and the song at
then end matches very well.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
More swearing for comedic effect.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
I like the fact that there are relevant and current topics within your
program for discussion. The music behind the discussion is good and at
a good rate for the production. The music fits in well with the gaming
subject. I like the topic title as this is very relaxed and will make the
audience want to listen in to see what you are talking about.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• Improvements could be made by adding a jingle or introduction to
the product. This could help at the begging and the start topic.
Pacing yourself throughout your audio could also help the audience
to understand the topics better. I know swearing is something that
is natural but try to censor where possible for the industry. You can
also reflect on this within your proposal and legal dna ethical issues.
Look at watershed.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– Obvious that you are really knowledgeable about the
subject and that you have a good rapport with your
colleague. Your style of conversation is engaging and
you make the listener want to hear more about the
product.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? Could slow down your speaking and
maybe introduce the subject at the beginning.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree with the consistency and content
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? I do agree we need to slow down
our speech
Peer Feedback Summary
i would slow down my speech and make the censoring sound, I was told to use
more swearing for a comedic effect I think the level of swearing currently is the
right amount, I would introduce the topic on hand at the start of the podcast
