3. Research
• The strengths of my research were that it guided me in how to structure
my product, and gave me ideas of what to talk about or how I should
introduce the podcast.
• A weakness of my research is that the podcasts I researched were very
casual and long, usually around an hour, and included a group of people
speaking, whereas in my product it was just a singular person. To improve,
I would have researched podcasts that were shorter or were solo.
4. Planning
• A strength of my planning is that I was able to stay focused with my
production. I was able to focus on relevant things and allocate the right
amounts of time to each part of the production. Planning aided my time
management.
• A weakness of my planning is that I was somewhat unprepared, as I was
out of my comfort zone creating audio-based work.
5. Time Management
• My time management was poor during this project. I did not complete my
project on time. If I had additional time, my product would be improved
by making it longer, giving me time to talk about more topics.
• I managed all of my preproduction well, completing most of it on time. My
production was what took the longest.
7. Aural Qualities
• A weakness of my work was that the sound
quality wasn’t the best it could’ve been.
Background noise that didn’t filter out
through editing was bothersome and lowered
the quality of the product.
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience by making my product a video
games discussion. It appeals to the belonger psychographic as it is a
weekly podcast and will build a loyal viewership. My product will also
appeal to the working class as my product can be consumed while on
the go. My product also appeals to men, as video games are
stereotypically marketed and targeted towards men and my product
discusses video games.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked how in depth it went when talking about
the game
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– A better quality microphone
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the intro and the music in the background
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– More content, different gaming topics
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The content and the depth of the discussions.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Remove the music, as it was distracting.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that my content should be longer
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree that the background music was
distracting. I found that the background music
helped to hide the issues with the main audio.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
Based on my peer feedback, I would make the content of my podcast longer. I would
do this so I would be able to add more topics to discuss and appeal to my peer
feedback. I would also use a better quality microphone to eliminate all background
noise. This would be effective in improving the overall quality of the podcast, making
it more enjoyable and appealing.
