The document summarizes the evaluation of a football podcast production project. It describes the research, planning, time management, technical and audio qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback aspects of the project. For research, the creator identified strengths and weaknesses of other podcasts to improve their own. In planning, they studied podcast structure. They felt time management was good but could have improved the podcast with more time. Peer feedback suggested adding background music/effects and potentially making the podcast longer.
3. Research
For my research I took a look at lots of different football podcasts to in order
to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these other podcasts. Identifying
their strengths allowed me to create a better podcast as I implemented these
strengths into my own podcast which resulted in a better overall product.
A weakness of my research is that I only researched other football podcasts, if
I had looked at a wider array of podcast with different topics. Had I done this I
could have seen what other podcasts do well and put it into mine which
would have resulted in a higher quality final product.
4. Planning
For my planning I looked at different podcasts in order to see how they were
structured in terms of music and the how the people or person speaking got
their point across in an effective and entertaining way. After this I began to
plan on how to structure my own podcast. Planning helped my product
because it allowed me to change things around multiple times before I began
producing the podcast. This helped my product become better as I had
thought of everything i needed for my podcast
5. Time Management
I feel like I managed my time well as I completed the project on time and to a
good standard. Had I had more time however I believe I could have made my
product even better by adding sound effects and music to the background
6. Technical Qualities
Comparing my podcast to the ball street podcast they are similar as both my
podcast and this one are about Premier League football. A difference how
ever in my podcast to the ball street podcast is that the ball street podcast is
filmed in a studio with multiple people where as mine is just an audio
recording of myself talking into a microphone instead of debating with
multiple people.

7. Aural Qualities
I think that my podcast does sound good. I put effects on the intro and outro
music in order to make it sound better. Also in my podcast I made sure I spoke
clearly and properly so that it sounded professional. If I were to improve the
audio I would perhaps do multiple takes and listen to them all and then
determine which one was the best quality. Another improvement I would
have made is playing background music through out the podcast not just at
the beginning and end.
8. Audience Appeal
This appeal to my target audience as it is football related. My target audience
was football fans and with my podcast being about football I feel that I have
appealed to my target audience. Also the used is the official music of the
Premier League which may attract more football fans.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The intro and outro music is really good, I like the
effects used on them
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– There could have been some background music or
sound effects during the podcast
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– Very well spoken throughout the podcast
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Make the podcast longer
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– It was very informative
– I liked the music at the beginning
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Sound effects would have made it better
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I should have put sound effects in the background of my
project, doing so would have made my podcast better and
more pleasant to listen too.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– I disagree with the comment that I need to make the
podcast longer. I didn’t make it too long so that the listener
doesn’t get bored listening. Having a short podcast keeps
the listener engaged throughout.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
After receiving my feedback there are some changes I would make to my final
product. One of the changes I would make is to add sound effects and music to
the background of the podcast itself not just for the intro and outro. Had I
done this the podcast would have been more enjoyable to listen too I believe
resulting in a higher quality product.
Another change I would make despite perhaps not agreeing with it is I would
make the podcast longer. I would do this because there is so much more to talk
about on the topic I was discussing and I feel I had much more to say but I
didn’t want to make the podcast too long so people would lose interest after a
couple of minutes.
