3. Research
Strengths weaknesses
The strengths of my research is that I can
research all the different aspects to help
me do the work I wanted to do.
The research help my product by getting
all the right information and assets to be
used in my product. Info and assets like
the right colours, images/graphics. Also
how existing products to help me chose
know how to make my own products like
posters, ident and t-shirts. These product
will be similar to my own product.
Weaknesses of research is that I couldn't
find the right aspects or existent products
to help me make my products.
I could of been more pacific in the
questions I asked in the survey. I would of
like more information on some of my
question on the survey. I would of liked to
been more pacific on the something's I
research.
It would effect the product by that I won't
have any aspects or references to other
work out there
4. Planning
Strengths weaknesses
The strength of planning is that I know that
how the product is going to look like once its
done. This will also help me find out where
the right layout of the aspects will be set.
I can plan out what aspects I will put in the
product.
Story board helped me plan out every
movement that will be shown on the ident.
The first box of the story board will show the
first movements, this will shows how it will
start coming on to the screen, the second box
on the story board will show what will be
more on screen, the third box is how it will be
the last box and it will show how it will fade
out.
It also helps me to find out all the assets that I
will need be for I make the products.
My contingency planning is a strength
because this made me think of any problems
that could occur when making the product
One weaknesses is that I did not do a proper
mock up of the poster. I thought that the text
explanation would be good enough to show
what I wonted to do but this would of helped
more if I had a visual to back up my text.
I could of looked back at my schedule to make
sure that I was on task and that I don’t forget
any work that I said I was going to do.
5. Time Management
I managed my time well but there was a point that I was be hide schedule. If I
hand more time on making the product I would of changed how the ident
moved and made it move more and smoothly. The posters would be
improved if I had time to change some aspects of the poster to improve it. If
there was more time I would of focused on the production section to make
the products more appealing to the viewers.
I completed the project on time and happy that every thing got done within
the time given and used it wisely to make sure that it got done on time.
6. Technical Qualities
My work is similar to the existing
work, in a way because one that the
colour on the background is going
form one colour to back on the
outer boarder of the poster. It also has the mean logo in the
centre with particles behind the
mean asset.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
The creative work on this in my opinion is
good, because the visual of the graphic on
the front of the t-shirt is good and I like
how it looks on the t-shirt. The graphic
represents the tv show, Back in a Flash.
The style type of the graphic works with
the type of t-shirt.
I would improve it by change the style of t-shirt,
have longer sleeves, and the colour to see if
that would be any improvement. I would have
more background colours of the t-shirt e.g black
or white.
8. Audience Appeal
The format of how the style
is laid out, is what I think
would appeal to my
audience because the
colours will appeal to my
audience age range. The
colours are bright and
cheerful. The colours
contrast well with the
background and makes it
stand. In my survey people
chose reds, blues, oranges
and yellow. I have included
them in my logo.
The colour scheme is in
my opinion fits well
with the targeted
audience. My poster
will appeal to young
males.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The branding is clear and relates to the genre of the tv show.
The animation on the ident is smooth and the audio suits the
length and design. The merchandise follows the same branding
and has simple but effective logo choices and positioning that
reflects real media products.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• The posters could have has some textures applied to all the
backgrounds, so the bricks in the coloured image match the
same detail as the darker poster. The merchandise designs,
whilst creative, could have been edited to look more
uniform with the base product to make it look ore realistic.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the effects and the amount of colours used in
the most and clothes I also like the logo design.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– With the t-shirt design it could be a real image of
a t-shirt.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like that the logo is prominent throughout every bit
of advertisement and that you've stuck to the same
idea that is unique and different and would be effect
what ever you use it on.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Increase the detail on the posters and take more time
on one than rushing many.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– Overall I agree with the feedback from my peers
because I agree with what they said the colour
scheme and the effects that the logos have with the
rest of the products.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– From my feedback, feedback3 I could of put more
time in on one but having more different types of
products would be helpful to get the tv show out
there.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• Spend more time on making one of the
posters and put more effort into that one
particular poster. I would do this because I
think that it would benefit the poster work
more to make them more detailed.
• I would leave the logo its self alone because
that’s one thing that people like as it’s bold
and clear to see and what tv show is about.
