The document summarizes Benjamin Fahey's FMP evaluation. It discusses the research, planning, time management, technical and aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback portions of the evaluation. The research helped narrow design ideas and pricing. Planning helped determine the clothing style. Time management and longer deadlines would have allowed for more designs and better photos. The technical and aesthetic qualities of the designs are described. Audience research showed the designs and pricing would appeal to the target market. Peer feedback suggested making more designs in different colors and showing designs on both male and female models. [/SUMMARY]

3. Research
The research really helped me to decide on the specific features
that I would implement into my designs and patterns for the
clothing pieces that I created. It mostly helped me to narrow
down what I should do in regards to the colour schemes,
designs and patterns that people would like the most and
most importantly anything that would be offensive to anyone
that I sued in my designs, and it also helped me out a lot on
choosing the pricing for my products.
However this did make me realise that a few of my ideas were
going to be far too close to copyrighted content and therefore
ruled them out so that I couldn’t create them.
4. Planning
The planning was very good at helping me narrow down the
style of clothing that I wanted to create when using the
second mind map in that PowerPoint.
It also helped me a lot initially in choosing what I actually wanted
to create and helped me in ruling out the topics or projects
that I considered but wouldn’t be very realistic and that I
wouldn’t excel at.
However in going over ideas for two possible projects that I
wasn’t going to do, I feel that I wasted time that could have
been used furthering my project.
5. Time Management
My time management for this project wasn’t very good and I
think that had I been able to have a longer time to create my
products, I would have made higher quality pictures of the
models on backgrounds wearing my clothing and a better
model for my website visual.
If I had additional time I would have been able to create a few
more designs and have a better edited picture with the
models over the top of the background images and could’ve
created extra posters or more pieces to use on RedBubble.
6. Technical Qualities
The two products are very similar in the use of repeated patterns or in the case of the pre-
existing product a repeated phrase but in my audience research that was something that I
discovered my audience would prefer to not have if a repeated pattern is an option.
The pre existing product uses a lot of white with black writing as oppose to mine which uses
predominantly black and grey for the designs to keep the piece as dark as possible but still using
hints of lighter colours.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think that my use of repeated pattern in two of my product shown above were quite creative
and my use of the repeated logo to create a dog tooth effect was something that I personally
haven't seen done before in quite the same way that I did it.
I like the repeated pattern with the geometric shaping that I created the most as it uses a lot of
different elements such as the camo in the background and the circular designs over the top
with the brand logo subtly mixed in with it in certain places. I also am glad that I created the
simple plain logo hoodie as well so that people that didn’t want a design as full up as the
repeated pattern one could take interest in the brand as well.
8. Audience Appeal
I think that in the style of clothing that I have created I am appealing to
my target audience as street wear is a style worn predominantly by
people who are teenagers or young adults, the colour schemes and
designs that I chose are also very suited to the audience when referring
to the audience research that I carried out, as well as the price range
which is below or within the range that my audience asked for in my
research.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the designs and the consistent colour
scheme used for the individual pieces.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could have created a few more designs.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked that there was options to get either the very
crowded looking pieces with a lot going on or just the
black and white option with the brand logo in the
centre.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• You could create the same designs in a few
different colours and also show all pieces on
female and male models.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– They all look very nice and you can tell theyre
from the same brand as they all follow the same
general theme.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– You could have done some Hoodies and T-Shirts
with the brand name on them so that they could
be more recognisable and sporty looking.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that I could have made more pieces and that I
could have used the same designs in more different
colour schemes.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree that I should have made any pieces with the
brand name written on as this is something that I
found wasn’t very desirable in my audience research.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
In reflection to my peer feedback I think that I would have made
a few more designs with different patterns or colour schemes
and maybe added some pieces with the brand name written on
them so that people could see the name as recognisable and
not jus the logo like brands such as Nike, Supreme and North
Face do.
I would have also edited the designs that are only shown on
males onto a female model and the designs that were shown
only on females onto a male model.
