3. Breakdown of Units 9 & 10
• What areas did you do well on?
• One of the areas I performed well on was my
product research.
• A section I think I did well on was also my reflection
work, I am able to analyse what I have done,
explain it, the effect it has on the audience and why
I have chosen do it.
• Something I think went well in terms of the different
areas is my proposal; I was able to explain my
points in a concise manner and give detail into what
I was planning to include in the project.
• What areas would you like to develop in the FMP?
• One of the areas that I feel I need to improve on is my
production work as this is vital for me achieving my
desired grade. I can do this by dedicating more time,
and putting in more effort into my final products.
• Another area I would like to develop and achieve a
higher grade on in the FMP is my evaluation, even
though I performed well in my reflection, I didn’t explain
my points as well in my evaluation, which is something I
need to improve on.

& Content
1.2 Pre-Proposal 1.2 Proposal
To make sure my daily
reflection is carried out to a
great standard I want to be
making sure I explain the steps
I have carried out in the day, as
well as covering what went well
and what didn’t so in the
following days, I can improve
on that aspect and make sure it
doesn’t become a recurring
problem.
I need to make sure I am
looking at content related to my
topic/theme in more detail. As
well as that I want to be
attributing information I have
learnt and be able to present
and analyse it with an existing
source.
When making my pre-proposal,
I want to be making my point
clear and also have points that
show reasoning why I have
decided on certain parts.
For my proposal, I need to
have a detailed schedule with
more specific reference to
individual tasks I will be
completing each week as well
as having a long bibliography
full of resources for me to
utilise.

Experiments
Something I want to be doing in my fmp
when researching products is making
sure I have a wide variety that I analyse
and annotate. And to make sure that is
filled out well, I want to be focusing on
micro-elements rather than just looking
at broad ideas and only explaining them.
For my audience research, I want to
be making sure I conduct multiple
forms of primary research; such as
surveys, interviews and focus groups
if possible. And once conducting it, I
need to make sure I analyse the
results in detail answering questions
such as: How will it help me? What
does it tell me about…? How will my
project change based on these
results? By answering these
questions (and more) it should help
me.
To make sure my problem solving is
carried out the the best of my ability I
need to be making sure I focus on
aspects that will affect my work
specifically such as using my own
equipment, office/studio space. Making
sure I explain a wide variety of potential
issues and then coming up with a
resolution (or even multiple) will help me
in the production, and know what to
avoid and how to stick to health and
safety, even if I am carrying out
production from home.
When creating my experiments, I
want to be discovering new
techniques that I haven’t previously
used as this will show a range and
more of what I am capable of.

4.1 Pre-Production 5.1 Production
6.1 Production
Reflection
6.2 Evaluation
When planning my work, I want to be
making sure I am adding planning areas
relevant to the work I am wanting to create.
For example, further consideration of style;
which in this product is more vibrant and
bright. I want to be including a rationale
with each creative decisions I am making,
showing the thought process behind it also.
For my schedule, I need to be making sure
I add more specific reference to individual
tasks and activities I will be carrying out
each day for production.
One thing I want to include more of is
factual information. As I am planning to
do some ‘magazine focused’ work this is
very important to execute well.
In terms of my production reflection. To
make sure. I carry it out to the best of
my ability, is explaining certain aspects
of each stage in production. For
example, a certain font choice, or even
why I have chosen to carry out a certain
technique on photoshop when it could
have also been done on an app such as
picsart. By me explaining those small
steps and the reasoning behind them, it
can help me extend and further my
work.
Something to help me in my evaluation
is adding more detail and discussion. By
adding additional detail such as
description of the process, going into
strengths and weaknesses more,
detailed analysis of micro elements of
my work it can massively help me up my
grade.
Editor's Notes
Reference what you achieved marks you are happy (or happier) with. You may have got Passes throughout, but some areas you may feel you will have done better in even though they achieved the same grade- focus on these bits. For developments, reference any specific tasks you were disappointed in, or want to improve upon in the FMP.
Use the feedback provided to briefly summarise your plans to ensure you achieve your desired grade in each task.
