Kieran Bradley conducted research including surveys, questionnaires, and interviews to evaluate their production process for an FMP project. Their planning process tested layout designs and explored color and font options. Peer feedback noted strengths like the central placement of images but suggested adding names and more information. Kieran agreed improvements could include making the logo 3D, adding music indications and event details to be more informative for audiences. They disagreed that the poster lacked professionalism, feeling the modern design fit the target demographic well.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. Research
• The strengths of my research were that by making my survey and
questionnaire this gave me chance to get a lot of different answers from a
lot of different people, it also showed me what people’s opinions were
with the different questions I asked, I also conducted interviews when
doing my research, this gave me the chance to ask people one on one
what people would rather go for, I did this by coming up with five
questions for them to answer
4. Planning
• The strengths of my planning were I was able to test out two layouts of
what my poster could look like, also it allowed me to explore what colours
I might use for my product and different fonts, my planning helped my
product because the images and practice layouts helped me see who I
wanted my images on my product laid out a strength is it also allows you
to save time
• The weaknesses of my planning were that when I did my survey for my
product that was part of my planning, I could of given it to more larger
number of people, also by doing a survey and an interview can be quite
time consuming, making all of the questions and getting enough people to
take it
5. Time Management
• I think I managed my time really well, and I did everything according to my
plan, I think I could of added a bit more if I had been given additional time,
to improve my work by adding more images and more information, I
completed my project in a good amount of time, this is because I thought
about all of the images that I wanted and how I was going to set my poster
out, when I was doing my power points to make sure I stayed in my time
frame I typed up information on each slide and then went back to each
one individually and added more
6. Technical Qualities
Both pictures have the
one in the middle in
them, also this logo is
faded slightly, the other
image is not
Both pictures
have the main
title words at
the side
They have
different images
on the posters
This poster
has a
coloured
background,
the other
one doesn’t
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think that the boldness of the “1” stands
out amongst the background and I think this
will attract my target audience, I think the
the curved text ads some uniqueness to the
poster and makes it stand out more, it will
also attract the attention of my target
audience, I also think the background
makes the poster stand out because of the
colours, this is definitely a strength, a
weakness would be that there isn’t any
information on the poster and there isn’t
any names to tell you who the presenters
are, a strength would be that it is clear and
tells you what the poster is about and it’s
easy to understand,
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target
audience by adding the information
I gathered from my questionnaire,
for example I have added an image
of Nick Grimshaw as people asked I
have also appealed to my target by
choosing the radio station that they
most wanted to see or would most
listen to see, I think that the would
be appealed by the boldness of the
number one and also by the popular
presenters and also by the modern
and unique look of the poster
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– Overall the poster is really, really good and advertises what I expect he’s trying to convey across. I
also like the poster as it introduces all the radio 1 DJ's so if your new to the station, this poster tells
you and shows you who everyone is. The colour scheme on the poster is also very good and instead
of being bland like most radio posters, its very colourful and exciting, which I really enjoy.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• Only minor improvements could be made from this: I believe the project didn’t take him particularly long
to do as there really wasn’t a lot to do for this certain poster, from my opinion I dislike the BBC bit as its
curved and I’d rather it be straight like the Radio bit is, I also believe that if you didn’t really know or listen
to Radio 1 you wouldn’t really get the poster, as all the DJ’s are there.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I didn’t really like the product as tit didn’t really strike me as a professional and suitable
poster for the radio. I think he focused on the DJ’s a bit to much and didn’t really delve
into any other parts of the radio.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I think quite a lot of improvements can be made from this, for example I think perhaps
he could of added some indication of music in the actual poster as there is only the DJ’s
who do the show present.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how you have selected the images and placed
them so that the number one sits perfect in the
middle. I like how the text is just simple but effective.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– You could make the number one look 3D and make
sure all the boxes for ‘BBC’ are the same size. You
could also try fill more space as they is a lot of white
space.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
• I agree with what people have said in my feedback about the logo standing out and and how the
images are placed in the middle, and how the one sits perfectly in the middle, I also agree with
some of the improvements that could have been made on my poster by adding some presenters
names and making it more informative I also agree that could of made the one 3D
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
I disagree with part of my feedback where it says that my poster isn’t professional or suitable for radio, I
believe that my poster is very modern and I think it would fit in well with todays climate and I also think
that it is very suitable for my target audience, I think my poster offers a new exciting type of poster that
attracts the reader straight away if you look at existing radio 1 posters none of them in anyway the same
as mine
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• The changes I would make are I would make my logo 3D I would do this because it would look
really good from the readers view and, I think it would bring the poster to life and make it
stand out more, I would also add some indication of music in my poster so then people
would know more about the poster, I would do this because it would tell people what type of
genres of music are played on radio 1 and this would make people listen to the station I
would also add some information about maybe and event or competition because by doing
this, this would give the reader a reason to listen to the station, I would also add a colourful
background to my poster so then it would stand out and attract my target audience
