He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
3. Research
• A strength of my research is that I got to have a look at many different
existing products that were similar to the one I was going to create. My
research helped my product as some of the products I looked at I got a
few ideas of what I wanted to do with mine. Also another way my
research helped my product was that I got to look at what the fans
enjoy in the genre of music I chose. A weakness of my research was
that I didn’t look into the best conventions for my product. TO improve
my research I could have had a look at more existing products to widen
my range of choice.
4. Planning
• A strength of my planning was that I got to look at different types of
music before I actually finally chose one. My planning helped my
product because I wasn’t sure on what song a wanted to to and wasn’t
sure what type of music would fit my video clips that I already had.
Also it helped because I got to create a mind map of ideas that would
help me in the long run. A weakness of my planning was finding out a
lot about the artist and researched aspects of him that I didn’t need to.
To improve my planning I could of looked at more songs to find the
perfect song but I am still happy with the choice I made.
5. Time Management
• I think I managed my time will for production but not for the documents
that I had to fill in. My project was not done to the deadline but I made
sure it was done in time for the final deadline which isnt too good as I
took my time to complete it. If I spent more time on production I think I
could of edited my video better and made my animation a little bit
better.
6. Technical Qualities
• A similarity to my work and the existing product is that we both have
used the same character and personally I think my design is better
than the existing one. My work is more of a 2D design where as I
think the existing one is a 3D design where he is moving on a tram.
His animation will definitely be better then mine as it will be more
advanced but I think if I had the time I could personally do the same
7. Aesthetic Qualities
• I think my animation looks good because of some of the colours I
have used. Also for the video the clips were very interesting and
shot very well and I think that people are intrigued buy some of
the clips. My animation was creative as I created everything from
scratch and I think it all turned out well. The visuals that I like
about both of my products are that the animation looks very
colourful and the character is well made. From the video I like the
clips that were of the sunset as that really was something else. To
improve my product I would of added more transitions into the
video to make it more interesting.
8. Audience Appeal
• I have appealed to my target audience as I think that they will be
interested in the type of shots I have taken as this is something a lot of
people are interested in. The specific bits of content that appeal to my
target audience are some of the shots because I think this is what they
look for in this genre of music.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
• I liked the drawing of marshmello as I think you have done this really well.
• Also I like the shots that you have put in the video as they really make me
want to go on holiday.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• To improve your product you could have added more transitions into your
work to make people enjoy the product more.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
• I really like the colours that you have used for your animation as they are
vibrant and stand out from everything else.
• Also I like that you have animated the character properly by moving his arms
as he goes up into the sky.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• To improve your products you could of added some colour corrections to the
video to make it look even better.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
• I liked the character that you have drawn and I think it looks just like him.
• Also I like the visuals in the video as they really fit the type of music you have
chosen.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• To improve the product you could of used more transitions in your video.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
• From my peer feedback I agree that I should of added more transitions into
my project for the audience to see.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
• I disagree that I should of added some colour corrections but there is also
worth a try to see if I like it with it or not.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
Based upon my peer feedback I wouldn’t change anything but I
definitely would add things. I would add transitions but I would go too
over the top with them and have them on every new video clip. I like
the way I have edited the clips to the beat and makes it interesting to
watch. Also another thing I may add to my video is the colour
correction. I'm not saying I should but it is definitely a possibility.
