The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

3. Research
• Research has a wide variety of different products consisting of audience research and
subject research. This is an important topic to know about as you get to learn more of
what your audience likes and dislikes and know how to attract their attention within
your product, but I also got to look at a different variety of similar clothing brands to my
own and how they have marketed their clothing and learning how important it is to get
the right angle when photographing/filming your product. The strengths of my research
was probably the parts where I was looking into existing brands and researching how
they had marketed their product; I also found this the most enjoyable part of the
PowerPoint as I got to choose my favourite clothing lines and educate myself more on
why they decided to create their brand. The weaknesses of my research was probably
the survey as I didn’t really ask questions specifically on my brand that I was going to
create, and I asked more of weaker questions to do with the whole of fashion which in
the long run wasn’t really beneficial to me when I received the answers back. If I had to
have asked better questions specifically on my product, I think this could have possibly
improved on my final outcome of the clothing or even the pictures as I could have
asked questions on what kind of locations would look best with the style of my brand
and could have gone from there, although I am happy with the locations, I did end up
choosing when doing my final project.
4. Planning
• For planning I had many different techniques to help me plan
my production such as shot lists which is a list built up of all
my camera shots and angles for my advertisement video I did
and also a script for the video walking you through what is
going to happen and what footage is going to be after one
another. This slide definitely helped me when it came to
actually filming as I wasn’t going into it blindfolded and had
the ideas wrote down, it also didn’t take up as much time as I
didn’t have to think of ways on the spot and I could jump
straight in with it. Although, there was a few ideas that I
hadn't originally wrote down and did produce when I got to
my locations.
One of my strengths in my planning PowerPoint was the location slide as I feel
this helped so much towards my final production with timing and the outcome
of my project as it was the location I had visioned right from the start and if I
didn’t do this slide, I would have struggled with finding a location and wasted
time finding places in Leeds to shoot my project or gone to a place that didn’t
look as good.
The weaknesses in my planning was probably the schedule as I found that I
didn’t stick to the schedule I was planning on doing as I had to change models,
half-way through and I could have got shots of both the models together which
I feel this would have had a massive improvement on my project as it would
have given more content and just looked better as a whole instead of just doing
solo shots.
5. Time Management
• Managing your time is very important when it came to the fmp as you
needed to time the tasks you was doing every week correctly so that you
could get everything you needed and more done for your project. If you
didn’t do this and overlapped onto one of the weeks this could affect
massively and possibly drag your grade down. There was some parts of my
fmp PowerPoints that I didn’t complete on time which meant I was doing
both things at once and wasn’t able to give my full attention to what I
needed to be doing for that specific week. Other than that, I think I did
manage my time well as I have completed all my tasks for the end due
date. However, if I had more time for my project there would be some
things, I would have liked to improve my project on which are, getting
shots of both the models in the same clip as this is something most
audiences would expect to see when promoting a clothing brand. I would
have also liked to have made a mock up website of my brand and clothes
that I would possibly made in the future, so it wasn’t just 2 tops.
6. Technical Qualities
The similarities between the
existing Levi's and my video
is that they have both at the
verry start of the production
included the name of the
brand to let the audience
know what it is. The
difference in these two
screenshots is that my video
has a background and the
Levi's one has a black screen
which depending on the
vibe of the video, both do
work.
The similarities in these screenshots below is that both photos show
a zoomed in shot of the front of the shirt. Although you can not hear
the music in any of these photos when I was watching them, I
noticed that the majority of them have the same kind of music I went
for.
The difference in my video to
the professional one is that my
shots are all fast paced but
they have edited theirs down
to get some slow-motion shots
which looks really good with
their product.
7. Technical Qualities
The difference
between my
magazine masthead
and the vogue
masthead is the
sizing of it, which
makes theirs more
noticeable and
clearer to what the
magazine is actually
called whereas
mine is abit smaller
but still in a bold
font in the middle
of the page to make
this as clear as
possible.
Both magazine covers have kept a simple colour scheme
with only 2 or 3 colours as this help keeps a visual balance
and not overwhelm your users. Choosing a colour is very
important as it helps create the mood for your picture.
The obvious
difference
between these
two pictures is
that one is in
black and
white, and one
has colour.
This removes a
ny distraction
and helps the
viewer
concentrate on
other aspects
of the photo.
I decided to
use colour as
mine as I
wanted to lead
the viewers
eyes to certain
parts of the
photo, and I
felt like I have
achieved this.
8. Aesthetic Qualities
I think my work looks good for
the time it was created in as I
had to change my picture last
minute and get rid of certain
affects and add in new ones
using the camera raw filter.
The weakness of my
production was probably that I
could have been more creative
with it and the affects, but I
wanted an urban feel to it, and
I definitely feel like the
location and how I have edited
it does give you that vibe.
One of the aspects of my cover
I like is how I have linked the
colour scheme to the clothing I
made and kept it very minimal
on that part.
Looking back on my final
image I would have liked to
change the masthead as the
two most important things for
a magazine cover is the main
image and the masthead and
at the moment the main thing
that draws you in is the image
and I should have made the
title bigger, bolder and either
have changed the colour or
added something that would
have framed the title.
9. Audience Appeal
In this screenshot above I
asked my targeted audience if
they preferred big logos or
small print design ones and
they gave me the answer of
big logos so when I was
designing my clothing, I took
this into consideration and
decided on doing a big logo in
the middle of the shirt, so this
is how I appealed to my target
audience.
In another of my interviews, the
interviewee answered that they
would prefer to buy the clothing if
it had been marketed in a good
way and I personally think from
making my magazine cover and my
advertisement trailer that I have
marketed it quite well though, I
would have liked to make a
website mock up or even a social
media account to promote this
brand even more.
11. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the transitions in the advertisement video as it flows well together and
make the video look well edited, and the pace of the shots are nice and isn't
too much going on which can become quite confusing
– I like the colour scheme of the magazine poster as it works well, and you
haven't got too many colours going on and kept it to the colours of your shirt.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
– I think the shot at the end is not edited properly and looked like you spilt black
ink all over the t-shirt and it just doesn’t work.
– To improve the magazine cover, you could make the text stand out more
with bigger font
12. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The magazine cover looks very professional as the composition of the shot is
very nice with the lighting.
– For the video I liked how you edited the black and white glitchy effect and I
also like the wide variety of shots you included.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
– In the video I feel like some of the transitions between the shots can be abit
long winded meaning the overall pace of the video felt abit slow.
– To improve the magazine id say add abit more of text as it does look
fairly blank.
13. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how the title of the magazine cover and it isn't covered by a bunch of
titles like it is just the centre piece of the cover and highlights the shirt in an
urban environment.
– I liked the choice of music you used for your video and the transitions was
clean and when it was something that wasn’t a shot of the top it wasn’t
shown for too long and the scenery shots that you included for that pushed
the fact that it was more of an urban clothing brand for streetwear.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
– To improve the magazine, you could have edited the picture to give off better
lighting and would have looked better If the car park was empty.
– To improve the video, you could have focused more on just the standalone top
as only one of the two was featured such as the shot at the ending if you
included both tops instead of just the one.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I agree with how someone mentioned I could have gotten shots with
both people wearing the tops as this is something I did originally want
to do but because of timing and people dropping out I unfortunately
couldn’t do this. I also agree with the fact someone mentioned how
the liked the colour scheme as I didn’t want to overload my production
with so many colours.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– I disagree with how someone mentioned that the picture would look
better if the car park was empty as this adds to the urban
surroundings I wanted within my locations. I also disagree with how
someone said that the magazine would look better with more text as I
don’t want the cover to look too crowded with so much writing.
15. Peer Feedback Summary
From the feedback I have received the first thing I would change within
my project would be to include shots of both models in the same clip to
represent gender inclusivity and equality. Another change I would like to
make to my project if I had more time would be to make my magazine
cover more eye catching by possibly changing the colour of the
masthead and also making the font size bigger and bolder.
For my trailer video I would like to change how the beat of the music
and clips to match up as this would improve my video much more. Also,
on the last clip of my video someone mentioned that it looked like black
ink had been splashed on my shirt because of the effect but this isn't
how it looked when I originally edited the clip as it was just meant to be
a glitch, but I only realised that it had done this after I exported, and I
didn’t have enough time to go back and change it, so this is definitely
something I would like to make changes to.
