FMP Pre Production
- 2. Pre-production • What are you making? - My project will be based on traveling. I will be creating a brand that is like a travel agency but they will be encouraging people to travel if they would like. To do this I will be creating a travel promotional video from existing video footage that I have but then I will edit this along with motion graphics. Then after everything I will be creating a poster too that will help with the promotion. • Why? (What is the purpose of making your Film) - The purpose of creating my project is because I want to persuade others to go out and travel when they want to. Also another reason that I am creating this is because I want my own information that I can use for when I plan on traveling. • Who is it for? (Audience) - My product will be for the people who are willing to go traveling. This will be good for them because hopefully my video will push them over the edge to actually go out and start traveling instead of just talking about it. • Where will it appear/on what? (How will audience see it) - The video that I create will appear on a youtube video for people to enjoy and watch. Also Reflection:
- 3. Style sheet In this image I got a picture of a beach holiday. I did this because most of the clips that I have are taken on the beach or other paces around it. The colours that are in the colour pallet are all light apart from one. This is because most places that have a beach will be light colours. In this image I have chosen a city that is near a beach. I used this place because this is the place I will be doing most of my project on. This is the Gold Coast, Australia. I was expecting this image to have light colours and also dark colours because around the sea everything is light, then in the city most buildings are dark. This image I got an image of a city abroad. I was expecting bright colours from this image because I knew because at night if you go into a city you will always see lights shining. The photograpger has an effect on these colours to make the pictures ook even better. He made all of the bright colours stand out more.
- 4. Flat Plan: Promotional Poster. This is a layout of a promotional poster that will hopefully persuade people to travel from the lovely pictures. This isn't exactly how my product will look but it is definitely a good example. The main image in this will be a picture that I have taken. The smaller pictures that are on the page will also be other images that I have taken. I will be adding different effects to the images to make them look much better then a square. I will be using different fonts from what I have used in this example. I will still be keeping a simple font style but still setting it out the way it shows in this example.
- 5. Flat plan: Poster TD Travel Destination This is an example of how I will want to make my promotional poster look like. I want my poster to be 2D because I think this will look the best when doing the type of design that I will be doing for my poster. As you can see from the flat plan, I will be going for a sort of simple design but also making the poster look effective to the audience. To create this I will mostly use the pen tool to design all of the images that I put onto the poster myself. I think this will help my poster out because if I use images that I have found on the internet then it wont officially be my work. To design this I did get a few ideas from the internet and added different bits into my planning.
- 6. Flat Plan: Moving Image TD This plan is a moving image that will reveal the name of the brand and logo as the plane moves along the screen. I will make this similar to my other flat plan of the poster. I will be creating this after I have made that. This moving image wont be as hard to make because I can just copy and paste the images that I will have created in the first place. The only part that will take long for this design is the animation part because I will have to move the plane manualy in photoshop.

- 8. Contingency Planning Potential Issue Solution Computer Breaking due to using it for a long period of time. Before you start make sure the computer is in good condition and change computers regularly. The software quits unexpectedly which is more common in design software eg. Photoshop. Save regularly and send in work for back up. The storage might get full due to saving unnecessary work. Make sure you have an extra storage device and also use computer storage if needed. No internet connection available. Check with library and contact IT. Also make sure you have a secondary source of internet. IT equipment failure Pen and paper if you are not able to use the computer. Server failure Back up on USB so you can do the work else where.
- 9. Health and Safety Potential Issue How will the issue be avoided? Back ache by not sitting in the chair properly. Make sure the seat is adjusted properly Dehydrated by not having anything to drink. Make sure you have plenty of water. Getting cramped into a small place by having everyone surrounded. Make sure your work area is not cramped. Straining your eyes by looking at the screen for a long period of time. Don’t stare at the screen for too long. Starve by not having anything to eat. Make sure you have something to eat. Electrocution by messing around with the wires. Check all electrical connections.

Week 3 Creating the moving image that will fit into the video. Week 4 Gathering my clips for my promotional video. Week 4 Creating the promotional video.
