Trust Based Misbehavior Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks
III. Problem Statement
This paper focuses on modeling and calculating trust between nodes in WSNs, based on sensed
continuous data to address security issues and deal with malicious and misbehavior nodes and for
assisting the decision making process. A new trust model and a reputation system for WSNs can be
proposed. The trust model establishes the continuous version of the reputation system applied to
binary events and presents a new trust and reputation system for sensor Networks. This approach
for mixing of second hand information from neighboring nodes with directly observed information
to calculate trust between nodes in WSNs. Trust metrics can be used to evaluate the trust value of
each node in the clusters. Behaviors are monitored by monitoring node (MN). Monitoring node
selected at the next higher level of CH, this can also be changed dynamically along with CH. The
main focus of this paper is to develop a fuzzy theory based trust and reputation model for WSNs
environment. IV. System Model
A. Architecture
The architecture of our proposed system, consists of four major blocks namely,
i. Cluster Formation and CH selection ii. Information Gathering iii. Trust Evaluation and
Propagation iv. Misbehavior Detection
The detailed description about the architecture is as follows.

Social Structure And Social Structures
Social structures are the most important aspects of human society. Social structure is the
foundation upon which human society is created from. Therefore, it is necessary that we
understand what social structures actually are. These structures are what organize the social
relationships and institutions within a society, making it possible for the existence of a society. As
a result, the question of how and why social structures matter are important in understanding how
social structures work. Therefore, social structures are important because they force us to take on
new perspectives in the analysis of everyday experiences, produce the social structures and
institutions that control us, analyze the manifest and latent functions they serve, observe the
objectivity of social reality and finally they allow for an intimate evaluation of ones self and
social position. Consequently, social structure is relevant in my daily life because it has forced
me to change how I look at myself and my own experiences and more importantly the power that
the historical context and its social structures exert on my personal consciousness. As a result,
Mills makes the argument that we are falsely led to believe that our current social position in
society is due to our own effort and doing. This argument reflects social reality and it is the result
of the social structures that are present in society, and the interplay between societal history and
biography. According to Mills, the ability to

Implications Of Fiar Cut Adverts And Laser Cut Polipulations
Because each insert contained a different amount of fibers, the fiber mass at each time point was
converted to a percentage of the original fiber mass. As expected, the data shows a decrease in
fiber mass for both scissor cut inserts and laser cut inserts. Overall, the scissor cut inserts had a
greater loss than the inserts cut by the laser. Laser cutting had the greatest effected on the adhesion
of polystyrene to a polystyrene base. Polystyrene fibers were light and thin and often gets attracted
to anything that comes within a centimeter of it. Laser cutting helped contain the fibers on the
insert. From the ten second point on, there was significant difference between the fiber mass
remaining on the inserts (p ≤ 0.0179). After... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our inserts are an integral part of the modular system. Therefore, the fiber coated inserts need to
be reliable. It is in our best interest to make sure the fibers, to which the cells are attached,
adhere to the insert despite the many transitions from Petri dish to analytical device to further
investigation. Laser cutting provides many advantages to cutting inserts. Hundreds of inserts can
be cut in minutes. The reproducibility is inimitable; each piece can be exactly the same size.
The idea that the laser would also fuse the layer of fibers into place would be a considerable
advantage. This data and SEM images support the idea that laser cutting sinters the fibers to the
insert. SEM images show polystyrene fibers melted into the polystyrene perimeter. As the laser
blasts through the polystyrene base, it plows the malleable polymer in both directions
perpendicular to the cut. The result is a raised perimeter around, and a thin connection between,
the inserts. The inserts were imaged at an angle to investigate the interface of fibers and raised
edge. At a 30В° to normal and 300x magnification, the smooth raised border can be seen. The
fibers spread underneath, but where the fibers extend on the underside of the border, there are
bumps. At the very least, we can say the fibers are tucked underneath the polystyrene border, which
would increase the adherence, but further inference would lead us to

How Is Thailand Different From The Us
When comparing Thailand and the United States of America, there are many differences. For
example, the way each country is located on the globe. Thailand is located below and closer to
the equator than the U.S., where it is above the equator and a little farther from it. On the other
hand, both countries have a lot of beautiful places and are surrounded by body of oceans. Lots of
people like to visit these two countries; however, most people in Thailandwant to move to the U.S.
for jobs and better lives. Most people in the U.S. like to visit Thailand for good food and warm
weather. Although, not all differences are bad, there are some major differences that make living in
one country better than the other. Those include lifestyle, education,... Show more content on

When a person buys a house in Thailand, they make one payment and the house become theirs
forever. In America, when most people buy a house, they have to make payments for many
years, with interest. There are also differences in getting licenses to drive, fish, or own a gun, for
example. In Thailand, there is no need for any license before being able to do any of those. On
the hand, in the U.S., people are required to take tests and buy licenses before they can drive, fish,
or own a gun.
Thailand is a poor country, so education isn t very important. Most families that do not have
money are either working at the farms or working for rich people. Going to school cost money,
so only those who can pay get an education. In America, anyone can go to public school and get
an education. There is also a chance to get a GED for anyone over 18 years old and have not
graduated high school. Also, if anyone wants to go to college, there are government programs that
can help pay for school.
Freedom is also different in each country. In Thailand, there isn t a government with a president.
They have a king and an army that watches over the people and makes decisions for the people.
In the U.S. there is a President, Governors, Senators, and Mayors that are chosen by the people.

Compare And Contrast Hinduism And Christianity
In the world of billions of people how many of us are going to be the same? People will perceive
the world in their own way. One person may see the world perfect, while others see nothing but
the end. Is everyone going to be different? Not necessarily, many others will share the same
beliefs but that could mean more varieties will be created. Once one person believes a certain
path they may choose to believe in that belief or even believe living is the path to happiness.
However, one chooses to perceive their own world, they may or may not be right. Just like in
religionpeople follow their belief but what they choose may not be the honest path. Some have
common similarities but many differences as well. Hinduismand Christianity have many
resemblances between one another and how their Gods are, even with the view that they are
extremely different, especially in the way that Hinduism has many Gods compared to Christianity
and how they both reach salvation. There s much talking about religions and faith in the world
today. Everywhere people will find others that are indifferent about Godand faith, one will find
people that are obsessed with anti religion propaganda and others will find people that live their
lives according to what they believe and what they declare.
Religion is defined as a system of human thought which usually includes a set of narratives,
symbols, beliefs and practices that give meaning to the practitioner s experiences of life through

Dune, the science fiction twin of Lord of the Rings , an epic unrivaled in it scope since it was
published in 1965. The book combines politics, religion, science fiction, and familial relations.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the book is are the Fremen the native residents of Arrakis,
fanatical fighters who are able to overcome even the Sardaukar, the Emperor s private troops who
are feared throughout the galaxy for never having been defeated. Shaped by centuries of
persecution, and by the impossible climate of Arrakis, they have become the pinnacle of what
humanity can achieve physically. Herbert shows the theme of greatness coming from adversity
throughout the book, with the Fremen, the Sardaukar, and Paul. Greatness from adversity is first
explored by Herbert with the Sardaukar, the Emperor s fearsome troops. Sourced from his private

My Visit to Centennial Village Historical Site in Greeley
I was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed visiting the Centennial Village historical site
in Greeley. I happened to visit this museum on the perfect day because there were children from
different schools dressed up and living how the people in Northern Colorado lived more than
100 years ago. With the children all dressed up like people used to dress, and doing the chores
that they used to take on really made it the feel like I was back in time. I got to experience dozens
of historical sites, live animals, schools, and businesses that really helped me understand part of
Northern Colorado s history.
One of my favorite parts about this museum was how we got to see all the different immigrants
homes that made this region so culturally diverse. If I were living in Colorado around these times I
most likely would be living in a Stone House because teachers typically lived in these types of
houses. These houses where located on Eagle s Nest Ranch right out of Greeley and were made
up of stones. These houses where primarily made up for ranchers and teachers. Another type of
house is called the Swedish American House, (STUGA) these homes tend to be a little nicer than
the Stone houses and reflect a blend of Old and New World Culture. These one room framed
dwellings with a boxer roof were typically houses for the Swedish immigrants. Another group that
migrated to Northern Colorado was the Spanish. They migrated to Weld County to take advantage
of the jobs that were created

Hemingway Determination
Authors provide influential messages and lessons to the readers by using myriad themes throughout
their books. The author, Hemingway of the novella, The Old Man and the Sea, constantly states the
theme of determination . Determination means not giving up on something that is desirable. In
everyday life, we all strive for things we desire. Hemingway expresses to the readers the real
meaning of determination and the use of determination in our everyday life. One of the major
myriad themes that Hemingway states in The Old Man and the Seais determination. Determination
means firmness of purpose, to never give up. The meaning of this empowering word inspires many
to achieve their goals in life, by not allowing anyone to downgrade them or stand in their way....

By implementing determination, never allow failure to be a discouragement. For instance, a
historical figure named Thomas Edison tried multiple times to invent the light bulb, but was
unsuccessful. Because of his determination, he did not allow that to make him give up, yet he
allowed those failed attempts to encourage him to go above and beyond, and eventually he
invented the first light bulb and made history. This example was to enlighten not to allow one
failed attempt to become a discouragement, but yet an encouragement to do better. Like Edison
once stated, Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to
try just one more time.
An author uses themes to apply life lessons for the readers. Hemingway, the author of The Old
Man and the Sea uses determination as the major theme of the book. Determination means never
giving up on anything. By applying determination to our life, just simply never allow anyone to
stand in your way of success. The true meaning of determination and how we should impact it in
our daily lifestyle was the message Hemingway was trying to indicate to the

An Analysis Of Howard Nemerov s The Vacuum
A Husbands Loss
The Vacuum is a poem that was written by Howard Nemerov. The poem uses the theme of
symbolism to convey the relationship between a vacuum cleaner and a widower. The poem can be
seen as a symbolic description of the experience he is going through after the demise of his
beloved wife. The sentence structure and the type of figurative language requires one to evaluate
and analyze the poem effectively to understand the meaning. The line in the poem The vacuum
cleaner sulks in the corner closet, its bag limp as a stopped lung (Mays 580) is indicative of the
symbolism that his wife was the housekeeper and when her lungs stopped, the vacuum cleaner also
stopped, because she was the one that used the vacuum. Nemrov s poetry shows a consistent
emphasis on thought and his poems relate a broad spectrum of emotions and a variety of concerns
(Web 1).
In The Vacuum , Howard brings out the emotions of an elderly man after he lost his wife, which
ushered him in a life of loneliness and sorrow. The writer used the Vacuum pun to distinguish
between the obvious homemaking profession of his wife and despair of the obvious grieving by
her husband. Nemerov did not use the vacuum cleaner symbol as a primary personification since it
could have limited the manner in which he outlined the emotions of the gentleman in the poem.
However, the use of the vacuum symbolism was perfect in an elucidating emptiness that was caused
by the death of the wife. The author uses the vacuum

The Immature Huckleberry Finn
Maturity is not a fickle expression such as happiness or frustration, but rather an inherent quality
one gains over time, such as courage or integrity. Before maturity can be expressed, the one who
expresses it must have significant confidence in himself, since self confidence is the root of
maturity. Being flexible and formulating one s own opinions or ideas are aspects of maturity, but
neither is possible without self confidence. The greatest aspect of maturity is the ability to make
decisions which society does not agree with. Whether or not one follows through with these ideas is
not important. What is important is the ability to make the decision. These decisions represent the

Huck doesn t show his first signs of maturing until he is free from authority.
Huck hides out on Jackson s Island and for the first time in a while has no authoritative figure

outranked. Huck has been taught that a runaway slave is an evil thing. Being able to make his
own decision about the matter, however, Huck decides to go against society. People would call
me a low down Abolitionist and despise me for keeping mum but that don t make no difference. I
ain t a going to tell (43). This is Huck s first sign of maturity as we find that he is able to make his
own decisions.
Huck s maturity grows with the same issue later on. When approaching Cairo, the point where
Jim can become free, Huck decides that he has done something terribly wrong by not turning Jim
in and decides he is going into town to tell on him. However, in a split second, while encountering
some slave hunters, Huck decides against it and continues to protect Jim. This episode is
particularly significant because even though Huck was feeling bad and low, because [he] knowed
very well [he] had done wrong (91) he still made a conscious decision to do what he felt was right
rather than what society thought was right.
Through his adventures with the King and the Duke, Huck learns what not to do, and continues

You can apply the same mantra to impromptu presentations. Sear the basic structure of a
presentation into your memory and volunteer to give speeches on the spot. The more you practice
giving impromptu presentations, the more comfortable you become doing so. Just as people
trained to respond to emergencies at a moment s notice, you will be able to respond with a solid
presentation at a moment s notice.
Consider the following key points as well as how to best communicate the content that is necessary
for the requested presentation.
Please With Threes
A lesson I teach early in my presentation skills workshops, and that I learned in school and in
Toastmasters clubs, is to please with threes . Otherwise called the rule of threes, this means that you
create a presentation using a speech structure that consists of three main components: an opening, a
body, and a closing. Manage these three major parts of a presentation and your speech will be
organized every time.

Art Form Of Music
Music is art form that doubles up as a form of expression. Depending on where you are from and
or where you live the music that is readily available will vary. For example, the most popular
genres around where I live go from country music to rap and hip hop. One of the biggest factors
of how music is developed is the cultural background that it comes from. Ancient tribal societies
have used music as a foundation for gatherings and to express history. In reality, music has been
around for thousands of years and people were expressing it way before the 21st century.
Music helps define character and allows self expression in a more unique matter. For instance, folk
music, this type of music originates in traditional popular culture and is typically of unknown
authorship. Most rap artists nowadays write about drugs and making money but others are just
using it as a reflection of what s going on around them. There is a rap artist named J Cole who
particularly raps about real life problems and what s going on around him in the city where he s
from. To people who don t live in the ghetto or a poverty struck area, living in the hood isn t as
bad as it seems, but for people that live there, it s terrifying real. J Cole takes elements of what s
going on around him, what he grew up around and personal experiences he s faced. In addition
there is a song called Immortal by J Cole which was released on his new album 4 Your Eyez Only.

Stereotypes In The Movie Meet The Parents
The nursing profession has many stereotypes, both negative and positive. I decided to choose a
stereotype that has been portrayed in our culture and society for some time regarding this
profession. When people hear nurse they tend to immediately think of it as a female occupation.
This has been portrayed and implanted into societies mind due to the media through films,
pictures, TV, and art. According to the U.S. Census Bureau men made up 7.6% of nurses in the
year 2000 (Landivar, 2013). Even though this does seem like a small number, the amount of
males in this profession has risen exponentially from 1970 and continues to rise. In the year 2011,
around 330,000 males were nurses (Landivar, 2013). This is why I decided to choose the film

these task is so important is because it is the easiest and cheapest way to get the name of the
candidate out to voters. Without field work the large majority of consitiuents wouldn t know who
the candidate is and what office they are running for, in addition when meeting with voters I could
talk to them about why I wanted to vote for Al Lawson, what his platforms where, and answering
any questions that they had. Hopefully, after they finished speaking with me on election day they
would be more likely to vote for him. Through my experiences in services, leadership, and my
internship, I have learned how important it is to be involved as a leader in the betterment of my
community, while actively pursuing an activity that I was passionate about, because only through
passion could I find enjoyment in what I was doing. I absolutely loved my internship, my volunteer

Dred Scott V. Sandford Research Paper
Dred Scott V. Sandford Research Paper It was the year of 1857 and a robust wind blew through
the South as the air was filled with both victory and horrific disappointment. An ordinary man
named Dred Scott began his journey for his rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Scott s struggle for freedom would come to make him one of the most famous plaintiffs in
American history and a worldwide symbol for emancipation. Scott happened to be of African
descent which was an extremely difficult obstacle to live with in early America. The Dred Scott
decision made by the supreme court in March of 1857 negatively impacted the United States by
empowering the South, contributing to the secession, and expediting the Civil War. Dred Scott
was forced to travel around with his owner, a United States army surgeon, Dr. John Emerson. Dr.
Emerson was assigned to Fort Armstrong located in Illinois. As of 1818, when Illinois became a
state, its state constitution declared it a free state (Gunderson 16). Although illegal, Scott was
still forced to work as a slave for his master. Dr. Emerson soon requested a transfer from Fort
Armstrong which was quickly answered; his new post was at Fort Snelling. Fort Snelling was
located in a newly created Wisconsin Territory near present day St. Paul, Minnesota where slavery
had been banned since 1820 (Gunderson 16). As Dr. Emerson continued to be dissatisfied with
many of the forts he traveled without his slaves for a while and met his wife

target market. In addition, I will name the three top competitors of Nikeand decide what is it about
their company, brand, and product development that allows them to be competitive in the industry.
Finally understanding competitors and what recommendations is the next step for these
competitors. Because of these recommendations, how should Nike combat these competitors

Zeitgeist Negatives
Today s zeitgeist has many positives and negative aspects. They range from the multitudes of today
s technology to the activities we engage in. We use technology for nearly everything; for
professional purposes, as well as for personal uses. We have cellular phones, computers, tablets
(which are basically mobile computers), printers, iPods, cameras, camcorders, etc. With nearly
everything we do, technologyis involved in some way or another. Personally, I believe this has both
positive and negative consequences. On a positive side, we complete tasks more quickly and
efficiently, which lets us complete more tasks than ever before. We have access to an immeasurable
amount of information, right at our fingertips. I wouldn t say this makes us more intelligent human
beings, but it does give us the possibility to be.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We re able to learn about other societies and compare them to our own. This, and many other
factors, makes technology a very positive aspect of our zeitgeist. However, there are many
negative aspects as well. I believe that technology has made us a very lazy society. It is more of
a rarity now to see people getting out into the world to gain knowledge. Everything is based on
technology. Face to face communication is becoming even more rare. There are new products
being developed every day, and yet, we do not really marvel at any of it anymore. It s not as
spectacular to us anymore, even though it truly is a magnificent feat for us. Also, technology, and
internet can be very dangerous things. People often overlook the privacy policies they are signing,

Understanding Literacy, And Health Literacy
Understanding Literacy, and Health Literacy
An understanding of literacy, and health literacy is crucial to understand their impact on client
health outcomes. Further, a nurse s ability to better educate clients lies in his or her understanding
of these terms. Literacy is a multilayered, dynamic and complex topic; however, in short literacy is
a set of skills including reading, writing oral skills, numeracy skills, and skills that enable us to
acquire knowledge and information (Keefe Copeland, 2011). Literacy can be understood through
various theoretical lenses. Keefe Copeland also highlight five principles we must keep in mind
when thinking about literacy (2011). Firstly, all people are capable of acquiring literacy, however
methods of acquiring literacy vary greatly. Literacy is also a human right, given its ability to shape
human experience Literacy also serves as a crucial empowerment tool. Social interaction also
contributes to literacy; it is developed through human ability to build relationships. Lastly, literacy
is not the responsibility of an individual alone. Community, and human interaction nurture literacy
as well.
All clients possess a degree of health literacy, and like literacy, it is a human right. It is a client s
ability to understand written, spoken or numerical information, and make health care related
decisions based on the information (Eadie, 2014). A client s health literacy also has a social
component, often being influenced by their

Causes And Effects Of Stress
Stress
Stress is a mental or emotional tension. It is a normal, everyday, part of life. Stress can be bad,
but it can also lead to a useful purpose. It can be anywhere from short term to long term stress and
symptoms can be anywhere from sweating to depression. Stress can be caused by many different
things and can have many different symptoms; therefore each cause and each symptom can vary
from person to person.
Stress is the body s reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response (webmd.boots).
The body reacts to these changes with physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional responses.
Physical responses are like insomnia, difficulty swallowing, clenched jaw, sweaty palms, or
stumbling your words (The Impact of Stress). Cognitive signs are mental slowness, worrying,
inability to focus, or difficulty concentrating (Stress Symptoms). Behavioral responses are when
you feel overworked, irritation, or no sense of humor. Emotional signs are sense of loneliness, poor
work relations, or avoiding social contact (The Impact of Stress).
Everybody has different stress triggers. 40% of US workers admit to experiencing office stress
(causes of stress). It can be caused by an unhappy job, work overload, working long hours, poor
management, dangerous conditions, discrimination, or being insecure about your chance of be
promoted. Home life also causes a lot of stress. This can be death of a loved one, divorce,
marriage, moving, illness or injury, taking care of an elderly family member, or a traumatic
event. Stress can also be caused from the inside, like fear, uncertainty, worrying, and change
(causes of stress). Your stress level will differ based on your personality. It will also differ on
how you personally respond to situations. Your body can show stress in multiple ways. Muscles
can tighten, your energy levels can drop, or your blood pressure can rise (Heid). Due to stress,
you can break out, your hair can fall out, your stomach can ache, your ears can ring, and your
nails can look funky. Stress could also cause scrapes and cuts to not heal. This is because stress can
draw water away from your skin s outer layers which affects your skin s ability to regenerate and
repair itself

Globalization and Transfer Pricing Essay
Globalisation could be defined as the interactive co evolution of millions of technological,
cultural, economic, social and environmental trends at all conceivable spatiotemporal scales
(Rennen Martens 2003). When discussing globalisation, the topic transfer pricing always seem to
arise which could be because this multi nationals trade between themselves and the government
also uses transfer pricing. Therefore transfer pricing is used wold wide and could be said to be an
important accounting factor which enables the success of a firm due to the fact its set up to induce
optimal decision making in decentralized firms. Transfer pricing could be defined when a company

This method could be said to closely reflect the real economic contribution of the division to total
company profits. i.e. if the receiving divisional unit does not exist, the firm would sell at market
price to the external customers and alternatively if the selling unit does not exist, the firm would
buy from the external market at the market price. Therefore the profits derived from each sub unit
would likely be the same even if the divisions were a separate organisation. By using this method in
a perfectly competitive market, a firm satisfies the three purposes which are: meeting the criteria for
goal congruence, evaluating management effort and not undermining sub unit autonomy. Because
of the internal transactions this method provides a cost saving advantage to the sub unit. For
example the selling unit can avoid credit checks cost and collection cost while the buying units can
avoid inspection cost. Therefore, there is a difference in profit due to the cost reduction while
trading internally. A major problem to this transfer pricing method is markets are unlikely to be
perfectly competitive i.e. the goods in the market are differentiated in a particular way (for
example: price) therefore, companies can determine either price or quantity produced. Firstly, the

What Is The Real Story Of Lady Macbeth
The real story of Macbeth is hidden between the shadows of the Shakespeare s version of Tragedy
of Macbeth. There is large discrepancy between the real version of Macbeth and Shakespeare s
embellished version. William Shakespeare s Macbeth tells of a tragic story of the life of the King
of Scotland and his uprisings and declination of power. However, the real story of Macbethtells the
story of a brilliant Scottish king. It is believed that Shakespeare rearranged the plot of the story to
flatter King James I. In addition, it is also believed that Shakespeare obtained information and
stories from Holinshed s Chronicles to enhance the quality and plot of the play to better flatter the

She is illustrated as a ruthless, strong, brave woman who lacks all of humanity. In the beginning
of the story, her ambition to be of great power drove her to convince Macbeth to kill Duncan. Her
power hungry thoughts allowed her to act unhumanly and violent although she displayed herself as
a gentle and kind woman to the rest of the people in the story. However, the real story of Lady
Macbeth, or Gruoch of Scotland, as she is known is history, is much known. It is likely that there
was a very strong relationship between Macbeth and Grouch, as when Macbeth claimed the
throne after the murder of Duncan, he claimed it both his and his wife s name. This was unheard

Grouch was the granddaughter of a former Scottish king Kenneth III, making her a decsendant

had a child. The child, named Lulach, was Macbeth s stepson and due to him being of the royal

Effects Of World War I On America
Effects of World War I on America
Basic Work Rough Draft
World War I was a bloody and gruesome war that drew in many countries from around the world.
It lasted from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918. As mentioned, there were many countries
involved in World War I. These countries were separated into two clashing alliances: The Triple
Entente, involving the powers of France, Britain and Germany; as well as the Central Powers which
involved the powers of Germany, Austria Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria. Later, when
the United States joined the war, they allied with the Triple Entente.
There were a few factors that caused World War I, one of these factors was nationalism.
Nationalism, a patriotic feeling of superiority over other countries, actuated conflicts mainly in
Europe. Many Europeans maintained a strong belief that their nation was the most powerful and
supreme in the world. Newspapers began, so as to call it, dissing other nations saying that their
nations had a better economy, better military system, and better culture. Politicians and the royals
did very little to stop this uncalled for nationalism coming from the Europeans, in fact, some even
partook in the raves themselves. It assured the Europeans that their nation was fair and ethical,
while other opposing nations were aggressive, untrustworthy, and vulgar. This convinced them that
opposing nations were a threat.
Another factor that caused World War I was the competition between different

Analysis Of Selling Of A Serial Killer
Selling of a Serial Killer directed by Nick Bloomfield was a compelling documentary that
followed the trial of Aileen Wuornos, America s first female serial killer who had killed seven
men along a highway between 1989 and 1990. The film opens with newscasts covering the subject
to show the severity of the matter, that serial killing were more common in the later portion of the
nineties (Selling of a Serial Killer). Aileen s full confession for the murderof Richard Mullary is
introduced to the audience within the first five minutes. Her confession is one of self defense
insisting that she was continuing abused by her clients during the course of her career as an escort
and prostitute. This is used as a technique to insight pity and sympathy. Bloomfield takes great
interest into her lawyer Steve Grazer, asking about his multiple professions, including being an
agent for Aileens adoptive mother, Arlene Pralle in addition to pressing Bloomfield for money
supposedly requested by Aileen for an interview (Selling of a Serial Killer).
The great interest in Steve Grazer is a tacktick to insight suspicion into Steve, who is portrayed
as a controversial quirky character, with every little law experience. As well as portraying Arlene
as less of a mother figure, and more as a person willing to exploit Aileen for her personal gain,
shown by the multiple conflicts in the film (Selling of a Serial Killer). Bloomfield often uses film
from newscasts because of the conflicts that had

The Struggle Between Civilization And Savagery In Justice...
The theme of the struggle between civilization and savagery is an archetype to one of life s larger
themes humanity is chaos. Humanity is constantly fighting and bickering. It is human nature to do
so. Throughout the ages, humans and technology have evolved. Human natures have not. The
darkness beneath their skin, the darkness lurking inside waiting for opportunity, is still there and
always will be. In the movie Justice League, Lois Lane while writing an article states, Darkness
is not the absence of light. It is the conviction that the light will never return...Our darkness was
deep and soon to swallow all hope... The fear of being abandoned, stranded on the island without
chance of rescue was the deep darkness soon to swallow all hope of being rescued.

The Firearm Owner s Privacy Act
Based upon my understanding of the United States Constitution as well as listening to the
arguments brought forth by the two parties in this particular case, I see a great reason to believe
that three of the four provisions of the Firearm Owner s Privacy Act is an unconstitutional
abridgment of the First Amendment. The record keeping provision, anti harassment provision, and
the inquiry provisions are in clear violation of the First Amendment as they are content based
regulations of speech that fail strict scrutiny. However, the anti discrimination provision of the law
is constitutional as it does not regulate free speech.

The law, as enacted, has three provisions designed to carry out the state of Florida s governmental
responsibility of protecting its citizens Second Amendment rights from being potentially infringed.
Additionally, there is one provision in the law that aims to protect against the possibility that
physicians might discriminate against patients or potential patients simply due to the fact that they
are exercising their constitutional right of owning a firearm. However though, in creating this law,
the Florida State Legislature created a content based and viewpoint based restriction upon
physicians right to freedom of speech under the First Amendment. As this law imposes both a
content based and viewpoint based restriction upon a physician s fundamental right to free speech
specifically in order to prohibit the advocation of a specific point of view, I believe that strict
scrutiny is only suitable form of judicial review for a case such as this. As was established in
Ashcroft v. ACLU (2002), the government cannot impose restrictions upon the First Amendment
simply because of its content. This decision was then strengthened greatly by the Supreme Court in
the case of Reed v. Town of Gilbert which made the determination that laws which restrict speech

Indian agricultural sectors for different activities and the import of petroleum products is a major

1.8.3 Economic Benefits of Biodiesel The biodiesel can be extracted from any material that
contains fatty acids. The various vegetable fats and oils, animal fats, waste greases and edible oil
processing wastes can be used as feedstock for the production of biodiesel. The future needs for
imported oil to manufacture regular diesel fuel could be reduced by the significant use of biodiesel.
The cost of biodiesel is most likely to remain stable than fossil fuel costs in future, as fossil fuel
supplies decreases over time. As biodiesel is produced from agricultural feed stocks, it helps in
improving economy in rural areas. Some minor changes are needed in refuelling structures and
spare parts inventories. It is the only alternative fuel that runs in any conventional unmodified diesel
engine. Based on mutagenicity tests, 90% reduction in cancer risks are possible using biodiesel.

The next day, I took the throne. I ruled for three months without an issue, then one of my advisors

In this speech, President Monroe sought to establish specific guidelines for U.S. involvement in
international affairs (McCormick, pg. 10). It was believed that European powers would continue
to seek colonization in the Western Hemisphere and the infant United States feared the proximity
of war prone and powerful European neighbors. The strong admonitions of President George
Washington that, The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is ... to have with
them as little political connection as possible were not so distant as to be forgotten (McCormick,
page 10). Isolationism was the official foreign policy of the nation and it was from this frame of
mind that President Monroe gave a customary speech that became known as the Monroe Doctrine
and unknowingly shaped American foreign policy for the next 200 years. There are two prominent
lines in the Monroe Doctrine that overshadow the rest of the document: First, that American
continents were, henceforth not to be considered as subjects for future colonization by any
European power and second that the United States, could not view any interposition...by any
European powers in any other light than as the manifestation of an unfriendly disposition toward
the United States (McCormick, pg. 11). While these are the hallmark pillars of the Monroe
Doctrine, it is important to also understand the historical context and history surrounding President
Monroe s decision to make such a strong

Domino s Franchising

will be outlining the advantages and disadvantages of the franchise as well as a SWOT Analysis,
KPI s and I will suggest a suitable location for the franchise. But first, allow me to give you a brief
overview of what Dominos does. Like all big businesses they all started out small and grew over
the years. Dominos started in America with only one store in America. Then started to franchise

average individual income was $369 a week whereas in Kingscliff the average individual income
was $399 weekly. The last criteria I went through to choose the most convenient location for the
new franchise was the total population of people in the workforce. In Gatton the total
population of people in the work force was only 166 people whereas in Kingscliff the number of
people in the work force was 2460 people. After I went over the information the clear choice was
to invest in a franchise in Kingscliff as it is a growing town with a high number of people in the
work force. The choice to start up a new franchise in Kingscliff was more profitable than starting
one up in Gatton as the information shows that you get more customers where people have more
money. The last piece of criteria I used was the target age of the consumers. The average age for
both place were the same between 25 54 years of age. With this large number of people at that age
they would be more likely to Domino s take away. Strengths
There are a lot of strengths in investing a Domino s in Kingscliff. There would be ongoing traffic

A Dream Deferred And Langston Hughes Comparison
The novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, A Dream Deferred by Langston Hughes and
Hope by Karen Hesse are three bodies of writing that share many similarities in how they use
rhetoric to develop overarching themes. First, A Dream Deferred uses personification to get it s
theme across. It states What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the
sun? Or fester like a sore And then run? The author first uses a simile and compares a dream that
is deferred to a raisin that dry s up and the next line asks whether it festers like a sore and then
run which is also a simile and personification because dreams can t run. The poem A Dream
Deferred questions what happens to a dream that fails or goes unrealized. Where does

North Montana Will Apply The Choice Of Law Essay
The main question in this exercise is whether North Montana will apply the choice of law
provision in the contract between Good Hands and the Walmsleys. A forum applies its own
choice of law approach. So here the North Montana Court will apply the Second Restatement of
Conflicts of Laws as the state follows that approach. Under the Second Restatement, three main
steps need to be considered: 1) whether the conflict is procedural or substantive, 2) whether there
is a choice of law provision in the contract, and whether that provision should be applied, and 3)
the application of the choice of law rules from the Second Restatement. Here, it appears that the
choice of law provision selecting Old York should be applied because none of the exceptions to the
general rule apply.
I.Procedural vs. Substantive Law
The first step under the Second Restatement approach is to determine whether the forum s rule is
procedural or substantive. If a rule is procedural than a forum will apply its own law. Courts using
the Second Restatement follows the applicable provisions in the restatement. This is similar to the
first restatement besides evidentiary privileges and statute of limitations. One of the main tests is
whether a section of the Second Restatement classifies a question as substantive. Section 193 of the
Second Restatement, which is found in the Contracts rather than the Procedure chapter, governs the
validity of insurance contracts. Here, the question is about the validity

Margaret Atwood s, The Handmaid s Tale, women are subjected to unimaginable oppression.
Almost every aspect of their lives is controlled; they are not allowed to read, write, or even speak

the handmaids are conditioned to believe that they are safer and better off living there. However,

Gilead and that her present situation may not have to be a part of her later future. With the
storytelling of her past and present experiences she is able to escape reality by letting out her
internal angers and frustrations. She uses storytelling as an outlet of release and relief from
how she is treated in Gilead. As Atwood states, I ll pretend you can hear me. But it s no good,
because I know you can t (40). Even though she feels as though no one will be able to hear what
she is saying about Gilead, she still continues on storytelling acting like she has an audience
because she is able to express and cope with her feelings by it. She literally can t share her stories
while she is in Gilead, but she mentally prepares them. Just the thought and hope of one day
being able to tell her story is enough for her to maintain sanity throughout Gilead. For example
Hansot states from her article that Offred s reviewing of her past and present is moral and

The Protagonist in Willima ShakespeareВґs Othello
The central character, or protagonist, in William Shakespeare s tragedy Othello, The Moor of
Venice is Othello. Aristotle defined the concept of a tragic hero as the destruction of a noble
person, usually with a personal flaw, and this flaw determines their fate. Othello is a tragic hero
with a tragic flaw in one of Shakespeare s most known tragedies. Shakespeare so prominently
exhibits the tragic flaw Othelloobtains, allowing implications and thoughts, to overrun reality and
show how just the insecurity one possesses can allow a person to become powerless. Othello s
actions essentially destroy him, with the intentional help of characters such as the infamous Iago.

When Iago suggests to Othello that Desdemona has been unfaithful, Othello starts having

Evil And Evil In East Of Eden By John Steinbeck
Everyone possess those evil and selfish actions, the biggest are maybe closing the mouth, ears,

sinful one can be? Or does it lay within your actions. In the novel East of Eden by John
Steinbeck, Cal pursues to understand and live his life with his loved brother Aaron, dad Adam,

Second, a different number of matching criteria is used in each approach: six in Holland s
theory (or eight in Roe s, 1956) and 20 in the Theory of Work Adjustment. Third, each approach
is especially useful at a different stage of the career development process (Osipow, 1990): Interest
theories have typically been applied in the context of counseling and during the career decision
making process, in which the individual has to choose an occupation that fits him or her best,
whereas the Theory of Work Adjustment has been typically applied to the workplace itself, that is
in choosing and adjusting to a specific job (Gati et al. 1996). The orientation of the Theory of
Work Adjustment toward specific jobs is reflected in the inclusion of characteristics such as
coworkers, supervisors, and company policies and practices, which cannot typically be considered
during the decision making process about what occupation or training course to select (Gati et al.
1996). A reading of the P O fit literature indicates that, in the course of its history, this literature
initially focused more on organizational level outcomes, such as organizational structure, culture,

Using literary analysis, some questions that come to my mind are the following: 1: What does
the symbols used in the text really mean? 2: What is the form of the text? I don t really know the

4: How do the characters relate to one another?
The style of the text is in a form of telling the readers about Jesus transfiguration. The style that the

The Issue of Prayer in Schools
Often, as was the case of the abolition of slavery in our country, it seems that courts ratified change
that had already occurred in the ethos of the national culture and consciousness of the nation after
the tide had already turned. This is the case with the issue of prayer in schools and the separation of
church and state in general.
As much as the history of court cases is good evidence for the separation of church and state and
with it the denial of prayer in schools, supporters of prayer in public schools can and do make the
argument that the intention of the Founding Father s of this nation was to form a nation centered
around prayer and Biblical instruction with it s accompanying values. Their understanding of
religious freedom was no doubt defined and acted out in the context of their culture and religious
influences. Courts of their day certainly did not push back against the integration of church and
state as we think of it today. Why else would the countries oldest and now most prestigious
institutions have their roots founded in the preparation of clergy for religious work? Harvard, Yale
and Princeton, among other great universities, were actually built for the purpose of raising up
educated pastors. Use the david lose inside quote Proponents of prayer in schools will no doubt
point to reverse discrimination or infringement upon their own religious freedom if they or their
children are not allowed to express their faith by praying in public. With the

Reflection On Design And Design
There is a reoccurring theme I took from all the readings in this course, and that is that there is
more to engineering than just designing. You have to look at every project you have from all
perspectives, and it is very important for you to take all things into account. I chose this Systems
analysis diagram because it was a good way for me to group certain main ideas into three main
categories of thought. Thinking ethically, thinking before you act, and viewing your projects as a
two way street are all very important when working on in the engineeringfield.
Thinking ethically has been widely discussed in this course. There are many conceptions of what
defines ethics, but I think ultimately it means the greater good for all. In Catalano s Engineering
Ethics: Peace, Justice, and the Earth, he states that in order to be ethical, you must think
Morally Deep. He writes, A living being is best thought of not as a thing of some sort, but as a
living system, an ongoing life process. (Catalano, 2006). I have referenced this many times this
semester because I think it is a crucial to expanding your idea of all things to be considered. With
a morally deep approach, it forces you to consider all living beings which are ongoing life
processes not just breathing organisms. By other life processes it means things in the environment
like trees. While trees may not be breathing, they still have their own lifespan and therefore are a
life process. Defining all the other aspects

Results were recorded after every five minute interval up to twenty minutes. For 0g and 2g of
sodium bicarbonate dissolved in water, there were zero leaf chads floating. However, in the
solution containing 1g of sodium bicarbonate, there were 2 leaves floating after 5 minutes, 4
leaves floating after 10 and 15 minutes, and the remaining leaf adding up to a total of five leaves
floated after 20 minutes. There is a trend in the table for 1g of sodiumbicarbonate due to the
increase in leaves floating.
The results from the lab was plotted on a scatterplot, which contains a trend line. For the points
describing the results of 0g and 1g of sodium bicarbon, the points remained at 0. The points for 1g
of sodium bicarbonate increased, and the slope of the trend line is 0.24x. This means 0.24 leaves

  • 2. Trust Based Misbehavior Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks III. Problem Statement This paper focuses on modeling and calculating trust between nodes in WSNs, based on sensed continuous data to address security issues and deal with malicious and misbehavior nodes and for assisting the decision making process. A new trust model and a reputation system for WSNs can be proposed. The trust model establishes the continuous version of the reputation system applied to binary events and presents a new trust and reputation system for sensor Networks. This approach for mixing of second hand information from neighboring nodes with directly observed information to calculate trust between nodes in WSNs. Trust metrics can be used to evaluate the trust value of each node in the clusters. Behaviors are monitored by monitoring node (MN). Monitoring node selected at the next higher level of CH, this can also be changed dynamically along with CH. The main focus of this paper is to develop a fuzzy theory based trust and reputation model for WSNs environment. IV. System Model A. Architecture The architecture of our proposed system, consists of four major blocks namely, i. Cluster Formation and CH selection ii. Information Gathering iii. Trust Evaluation and Propagation iv. Misbehavior Detection The detailed description about the architecture is as follows. Fig. 2. Overall Architecture of the Proposed System Fig.2. shows the overall architecture of the proposed work. • 3. Social Structure And Social Structures Social structures are the most important aspects of human society. Social structure is the foundation upon which human society is created from. Therefore, it is necessary that we understand what social structures actually are. These structures are what organize the social relationships and institutions within a society, making it possible for the existence of a society. As a result, the question of how and why social structures matter are important in understanding how social structures work. Therefore, social structures are important because they force us to take on new perspectives in the analysis of everyday experiences, produce the social structures and institutions that control us, analyze the manifest and latent functions they serve, observe the objectivity of social reality and finally they allow for an intimate evaluation of ones self and social position. Consequently, social structure is relevant in my daily life because it has forced me to change how I look at myself and my own experiences and more importantly the power that the historical context and its social structures exert on my personal consciousness. As a result, Mills makes the argument that we are falsely led to believe that our current social position in society is due to our own effort and doing. This argument reflects social reality and it is the result of the social structures that are present in society, and the interplay between societal history and biography. According to Mills, the ability to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Under the buy down alternative, the company would drop one of the product forms (oral) in one of the markets (tumor type B), saving $2 million. But solving the organizational problem alone is just as bad. Open discussion may lead to agreement, enabling a company to move forward. • 5. Implications Of Fiar Cut Adverts And Laser Cut Polipulations Because each insert contained a different amount of fibers, the fiber mass at each time point was converted to a percentage of the original fiber mass. As expected, the data shows a decrease in fiber mass for both scissor cut inserts and laser cut inserts. Overall, the scissor cut inserts had a greater loss than the inserts cut by the laser. Laser cutting had the greatest effected on the adhesion of polystyrene to a polystyrene base. Polystyrene fibers were light and thin and often gets attracted to anything that comes within a centimeter of it. Laser cutting helped contain the fibers on the insert. From the ten second point on, there was significant difference between the fiber mass remaining on the inserts (p ≤ 0.0179). After... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our inserts are an integral part of the modular system. Therefore, the fiber coated inserts need to be reliable. It is in our best interest to make sure the fibers, to which the cells are attached, adhere to the insert despite the many transitions from Petri dish to analytical device to further investigation. Laser cutting provides many advantages to cutting inserts. Hundreds of inserts can be cut in minutes. The reproducibility is inimitable; each piece can be exactly the same size. The idea that the laser would also fuse the layer of fibers into place would be a considerable advantage. This data and SEM images support the idea that laser cutting sinters the fibers to the insert. SEM images show polystyrene fibers melted into the polystyrene perimeter. As the laser blasts through the polystyrene base, it plows the malleable polymer in both directions perpendicular to the cut. The result is a raised perimeter around, and a thin connection between, the inserts. The inserts were imaged at an angle to investigate the interface of fibers and raised edge. At a 30В° to normal and 300x magnification, the smooth raised border can be seen. The fibers spread underneath, but where the fibers extend on the underside of the border, there are bumps. At the very least, we can say the fibers are tucked underneath the polystyrene border, which would increase the adherence, but further inference would lead us to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Compare And Contrast Hinduism And Christianity In the world of billions of people how many of us are going to be the same? People will perceive the world in their own way. One person may see the world perfect, while others see nothing but the end. Is everyone going to be different? Not necessarily, many others will share the same beliefs but that could mean more varieties will be created. Once one person believes a certain path they may choose to believe in that belief or even believe living is the path to happiness. However, one chooses to perceive their own world, they may or may not be right. Just like in religionpeople follow their belief but what they choose may not be the honest path. Some have common similarities but many differences as well. Hinduismand Christianity have many resemblances between one another and how their Gods are, even with the view that they are extremely different, especially in the way that Hinduism has many Gods compared to Christianity and how they both reach salvation. The book combines politics, religion, science fiction, and familial relations. Perhaps the most interesting part of the book is are the Fremen the native residents of Arrakis, fanatical fighters who are able to overcome even the Sardaukar, the Emperor s private troops who are feared throughout the galaxy for never having been defeated. Shaped by centuries of persecution, and by the impossible climate of Arrakis, they have become the pinnacle of what humanity can achieve physically. Herbert shows the theme of greatness coming from adversity throughout the book, with the Fremen, the Sardaukar, and Paul. Greatness from adversity is first explored by Herbert with the Sardaukar, the Emperor s fearsome troops. Sourced from his private prison planet Salusa Secundus, the Sardaukar are the most feared troops in the galaxy. Sardaukar: the soldier fanatics of the Padishah Emperor. They were men from an... • 10. My Visit to Centennial Village Historical Site in Greeley I was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed visiting the Centennial Village historical site in Greeley. I happened to visit this museum on the perfect day because there were children from different schools dressed up and living how the people in Northern Colorado lived more than 100 years ago. With the children all dressed up like people used to dress, and doing the chores that they used to take on really made it the feel like I was back in time. I got to experience dozens of historical sites, live animals, schools, and businesses that really helped me understand part of Northern Colorado s history. One of my favorite parts about this museum was how we got to see all the different immigrants homes that made this region so culturally diverse. If I were living in Colorado around these times I most likely would be living in a Stone House because teachers typically lived in these types of houses. These houses where located on Eagle s Nest Ranch right out of Greeley and were made up of stones. These houses where primarily made up for ranchers and teachers. Another type of house is called the Swedish American House, (STUGA) these homes tend to be a little nicer than the Stone houses and reflect a blend of Old and New World Culture. These one room framed dwellings with a boxer roof were typically houses for the Swedish immigrants. Another group that migrated to Northern Colorado was the Spanish. • 12. An Analysis Of Howard Nemerov s The Vacuum A Husbands Loss The Vacuum is a poem that was written by Howard Nemerov. The poem uses the theme of symbolism to convey the relationship between a vacuum cleaner and a widower. The poem can be seen as a symbolic description of the experience he is going through after the demise of his beloved wife. The sentence structure and the type of figurative language requires one to evaluate and analyze the poem effectively to understand the meaning. The line in the poem The vacuum cleaner sulks in the corner closet, its bag limp as a stopped lung (Mays 580) is indicative of the symbolism that his wife was the housekeeper and when her lungs stopped, the vacuum cleaner also stopped, because she was the one that used the vacuum. Nemrov s poetry shows a consistent emphasis on thought and his poems relate a broad spectrum of emotions and a variety of concerns (Web 1). In The Vacuum , Howard brings out the emotions of an elderly man after he lost his wife, which ushered him in a life of loneliness and sorrow. The writer used the Vacuum pun to distinguish between the obvious homemaking profession of his wife and despair of the obvious grieving by her husband. Nemerov did not use the vacuum cleaner symbol as a primary personification since it could have limited the manner in which he outlined the emotions of the gentleman in the poem. However, the use of the vacuum symbolism was perfect in an elucidating emptiness that was caused by the death of the wife. The author uses the vacuum ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This method could be said to closely reflect the real economic contribution of the division to total company profits. i.e. if the receiving divisional unit does not exist, the firm would sell at market price to the external customers and alternatively if the selling unit does not exist, the firm would buy from the external market at the market price. Therefore the profits derived from each sub unit would likely be the same even if the divisions were a separate organisation. By using this method in a perfectly competitive market, a firm satisfies the three purposes which are: meeting the criteria for goal congruence, evaluating management effort and not undermining sub unit autonomy. Because of the internal transactions this method provides a cost saving advantage to the sub unit. There is large discrepancy between the real version of Macbeth and Shakespeare s embellished version. William Shakespeare s Macbeth tells of a tragic story of the life of the King of Scotland and his uprisings and declination of power. However, the real story of Macbethtells the story of a brilliant Scottish king. It is believed that Shakespeare rearranged the plot of the story to flatter King James I. In addition, it is also believed that Shakespeare obtained information and stories from Holinshed s Chronicles to enhance the quality and plot of the play to better flatter the tastes of the king. However, the real story of Lady Macbeth, or Gruoch of Scotland, as she is known is history, is much known. It is likely that there was a very strong relationship between Macbeth and Grouch, as when Macbeth claimed the throne after the murder of Duncan, he claimed it both his and his wife s name. This was unheard of and Grouch of Scotland is the first queen ever recorded in Scottish history. Like Macbeth, Grouch was the granddaughter of a former Scottish king Kenneth III, making her a decsendant from royalty as well. • 31. Effects Of World War I On America Effects of World War I on America Basic Work Rough Draft World War I was a bloody and gruesome war that drew in many countries from around the world. It lasted from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918. As mentioned, there were many countries involved in World War I. These countries were separated into two clashing alliances: The Triple Entente, involving the powers of France, Britain and Germany; as well as the Central Powers which involved the powers of Germany, Austria Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria. Later, when the United States joined the war, they allied with the Triple Entente. There were a few factors that caused World War I, one of these factors was nationalism. Nationalism, a patriotic feeling of superiority over other countries, actuated conflicts mainly in Europe. Many Europeans maintained a strong belief that their nation was the most powerful and supreme in the world. Newspapers began, so as to call it, dissing other nations saying that their nations had a better economy, better military system, and better culture. Politicians and the royals did very little to stop this uncalled for nationalism coming from the Europeans, in fact, some even partook in the raves themselves. It assured the Europeans that their nation was fair and ethical, while other opposing nations were aggressive, untrustworthy, and vulgar. This convinced them that opposing nations were a threat. • 32. Analysis Of Selling Of A Serial Killer Selling of a Serial Killer directed by Nick Bloomfield was a compelling documentary that followed the trial of Aileen Wuornos, America s first female serial killer who had killed seven men along a highway between 1989 and 1990. The film opens with newscasts covering the subject to show the severity of the matter, that serial killing were more common in the later portion of the nineties (Selling of a Serial Killer). Aileen s full confession for the murderof Richard Mullary is introduced to the audience within the first five minutes. Her confession is one of self defense insisting that she was continuing abused by her clients during the course of her career as an escort and prostitute. This is used as a technique to insight pity and sympathy. Bloomfield takes great interest into her lawyer Steve Grazer, asking about his multiple professions, including being an agent for Aileens adoptive mother, Arlene Pralle in addition to pressing Bloomfield for money supposedly requested by Aileen for an interview (Selling of a Serial Killer). The great interest in Steve Grazer is a tacktick to insight suspicion into Steve, who is portrayed as a controversial quirky character, with every little law experience. As well as portraying Arlene as less of a mother figure, and more as a person willing to exploit Aileen for her personal gain, shown by the multiple conflicts in the film (Selling of a Serial Killer). The record keeping provision, anti harassment provision, and the inquiry provisions are in clear violation of the First Amendment as they are content based regulations of speech that fail strict scrutiny. North Montana Will Apply The Choice Of Law Essay The main question in this exercise is whether North Montana will apply the choice of law provision in the contract between Good Hands and the Walmsleys. A forum applies its own choice of law approach. So here the North Montana Court will apply the Second Restatement of Conflicts of Laws as the state follows that approach. Under the Second Restatement, three main steps need to be considered: 1) whether the conflict is procedural or substantive, 2) whether there is a choice of law provision in the contract, and whether that provision should be applied, and 3) the application of the choice of law rules from the Second Restatement. Here, it appears that the choice of law provision selecting Old York should be applied because none of the exceptions to the general rule apply. I.Procedural vs. Substantive Law The first step under the Second Restatement approach is to determine whether the forum s rule is procedural or substantive. If a rule is procedural than a forum will apply its own law. Courts using the Second Restatement follows the applicable provisions in the restatement. This is similar to the first restatement besides evidentiary privileges and statute of limitations. One of the main tests is whether a section of the Second Restatement classifies a question as substantive. Section 193 of the Second Restatement, which is found in the Contracts rather than the Procedure chapter, governs the validity of insurance contracts. Here, the question is about the validity ... In addition to this, there is some adulation in accordance with the Great Chain of Being, but just partially, because

Second, a different number of matching criteria is used in each approach: six in Holland s theory (or eight in Roe s, 1956) and 20 in the Theory of Work Adjustment. Third, each approach is especially useful at a different stage of the career development process (Osipow, 1990): Interest theories have typically been applied in the context of counseling and during the career decision making process, in which the individual has to choose an occupation that fits him or her best, whereas the Theory of Work Adjustment has been typically applied to the workplace itself, that is in choosing and adjusting to a specific job (Gati et al. 1996). The orientation of the Theory of Work Adjustment toward specific jobs is reflected in the inclusion of characteristics such as coworkers, supervisors, and company policies and practices, which cannot typically be considered during the decision making process about what occupation or training course to select (Gati et al. 1996). A reading of the P O fit literature indicates that, in the course of its history, this literature initially focused more on organizational level outcomes, such as organizational structure, culture, and effectiveness (Schneider et al., 2001), and later focused on the ... • 52. Jesus Transfiguration Using literary analysis, some questions that come to my mind are the following: 1: What does the symbols used in the text really mean? 2: What is the form of the text? I don t really know the genre it is in. 3: What is the primary message of the text being told? What is it trying to teach me? 4: How do the characters relate to one another? The style of the text is in a form of telling the readers about Jesus transfiguration. The style that the writer uses/that Jesus uses is in such way giving many symbolism; the words used has many symbolism. It is a descriptive style. The scene of the text is when Jesus took Peter, James, and John up to a high mountain, this, I am assuming symbolizes going to a secluded area maybe because Jesus didn t want ... • 53. The Issue of Prayer in Schools Often, as was the case of the abolition of slavery in our country, it seems that courts ratified change that had already occurred in the ethos of the national culture and consciousness of the nation after the tide had already turned. This is the case with the issue of prayer in schools and the separation of church and state in general. As much as the history of court cases is good evidence for the separation of church and state and with it the denial of prayer in schools, supporters of prayer in public schools can and do make the argument that the intention of the Founding Father s of this nation was to form a nation centered around prayer and Biblical instruction with it s accompanying values. Their understanding of religious freedom was no doubt defined and acted out in the context of their culture and religious influences. Courts of their day certainly did not push back against the integration of church and state as we think of it today. Why else would the countries oldest and now most prestigious institutions have their roots founded in the preparation of clergy for religious work? Harvard, Yale and Princeton, among other great universities, were actually built for the purpose of raising up educated pastors. Use the david lose inside quote Proponents of prayer in schools will no doubt point to reverse discrimination or infringement upon their own religious freedom if they or their children are not allowed to express their faith by praying in public. • 54. Reflection On Design And Design There is a reoccurring theme I took from all the readings in this course, and that is that there is more to engineering than just designing. You have to look at every project you have from all perspectives, and it is very important for you to take all things into account. I chose this Systems analysis diagram because it was a good way for me to group certain main ideas into three main categories of thought. Thinking ethically, thinking before you act, and viewing your projects as a two way street are all very important when working on in the engineeringfield. Thinking ethically has been widely discussed in this course. There are many conceptions of what defines ethics, but I think ultimately it means the greater good for all. In Catalano s Engineering Ethics: Peace, Justice, and the Earth, he states that in order to be ethical, you must think Morally Deep. He writes, A living being is best thought of not as a thing of some sort, but as a living system, an ongoing life process. (Catalano, 2006). I have referenced this many times this semester because I think it is a crucial to expanding your idea of all things to be considered. With a morally deep approach, it forces you to consider all living beings which are ongoing life processes not just breathing organisms. By other life processes it means things in the environment like trees. While trees may not be breathing, they still have their own lifespan and therefore are a life process. Defining all the other aspects ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 57. Sodium Bicarbonate Lab Report Results were recorded after every five minute interval up to twenty minutes. For 0g and 2g of sodium bicarbonate dissolved in water, there were zero leaf chads floating. However, in the solution containing 1g of sodium bicarbonate, there were 2 leaves floating after 5 minutes, 4 leaves floating after 10 and 15 minutes, and the remaining leaf adding up to a total of five leaves floated after 20 minutes. There is a trend in the table for 1g of sodiumbicarbonate due to the increase in leaves floating. The results from the lab was plotted on a scatterplot, which contains a trend line. For the points describing the results of 0g and 1g of sodium bicarbon, the points remained at 0. The points for 1g of sodium bicarbonate increased, and the slope of the trend line is 0.24x. This means 0.24 leaves floated per minute. Conclusion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The hypothesis states when there is a higher concentration of carbon dioxide, there will be an increase of oxygen production, because there are more reactants to create more products. The data does not support the hypothesis, because there was no reaction in the solution containing 2g of sodium bicarbonate. However, there was a reaction in the solution containing 1g sodium bicarbonate. All five leaves in the solution floated. That means there were errors in the lab that occurred. When there is a high amount of carbon dioxide, there is more reactants to produce more products.2 Therefore, the leaves in the solution containing 2g of sodium bicarbonate should have ...
