Theme Of The Movie Maalik
After two decades the writer of the masterpiece Dhuwan, Ashir Azeem came back as a debut film
director and nailed it, both cinematically and systematically. As Dhuwan was a thriller based on a
team of law enforcement officials who would do anything to catch the criminals, so it became super
hit of that era and Ashir Azeem got fame as its writer and actor. Ashir Azeem returned after so many
years with a new bang, his movie, Maalik which made expectations very high of the audience.
Main Theme
Basically Maalik is about war, politics, corruption and most of all about patriotism and taking
ownership of one s country. It portrays our society from grass root strugglers to the highest levels of
wealth and power. It is soaked in reality as it shows ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While talking to a news channel, the film s director Aashir Azeem confirmed yes, a ban was imposed
on the movie, however, now the media reports are saying that it has been removed .
Role of Government
After SBFC revoked ban on Maalik, the federal government banned Ashir Azeem s film Maalik
nationwide in a notification issued day after cancellation of SBFC s ban. The Sindh government
decided to ban the film Maalik and then revoked that notice all in the space of a few hours.
The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, and National Heritage issued a notification declaring the
Urdu feature film uncertified according to Section 9 of the Motion Pictures Ordinance, 1979. The
culture ministry drafted a notification ordering a ban on the movie for being biased and provoking
violence.
The government did not provide any explanation for banning the film in its notification. The
government gave no reason for its intervention, which is unusual as film regulation is normally carried
out by local censorship boards. However, before it was formally issued, the Sindh chief minister
intervened and asked the ministry not to issue it as it would be against the freedom of

Computer Engineering At Shanghai Jiao Tong University
During my college career, through various challenging courses and research experience, as a computer
engineering major, I not only obtained a solid background knowledge in this field but developed an
analytical mind for research and a passion to continuing working in computer architecture. After
deliberating on my future, I decided to apply for the Ph.D. program at (department of Computer
Science Engineering) at (the Pennsylvania State University).
I was honored to be admitted to the dual degree program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the
University of Michigan in 2013. During my freshman and sophomore years at Shanghai Jiao Tong
University, I led some embedded system related projects, and developed small applications on
different kinds of microprocessors. Writing software that is so close to hardware made me curious
about how these microprocessor s internal architecture works. Therefore, I declared my major in
Computer Engineering when I started my junior year at the University of Michigan. However, what
really got me excited about the field of computer architecture was the Computer Architecture course.
The course gave me the opportunity to build a synthesizable two way out of order MIPS R10K based
processor in Verilog. By walking through the progress that computer engineers have been made since
last century, I realized that I can learn more about computer architecture and even make innovations
by joining them in academic research.

Niosomes are Carier Systems that can Deliver Hydrophilic...
Niosomes are the novel carrier systems which have the bilayer structure. Niosomes can deliver both
hydrophilic and lipophilic drugs. But niosomes are unstable. There will be the aggregation, leakage,
storage and stability problems. Proniosomes are the versatile preparations which are stable. These are
the dried forms of niosomes. Zidovudine proniosomal gel was prepared of different formulation. The
permeation studies were carried using rat abdominal skin. Higher percentage release was achieved
using the Span 20 i.e., 97.55%±1.1. Effect of lecithin and effect of non ionic surfactants was carried
out. The higher percent entrapment efficiency was achieved to F1 formulation of about 74.70%. There
was no effect of cholesterol concentration. As the lecithin concentration was increased the percent
drug release also increase but only at a certain extend. At the certain limit surfactant concentration also
increases the drug release. By using the proniosomes as carries the bioavailability of Zidovudine
increases to 97%. The proniosomes after hydration was characterized using the light microscopy and
scanning electron microscopy. Proniosomes are suitable delivery systems for many of the hydrophilic
and lipophilic drugs. Key words: Zidovudine, Proniosomes, Lecithin, Surfactant, Stability,

The Relationship Between Utopia And Dystopia
Utopia one can say Utopia is portrayed as an ideal society in a hypothetical no place . A central
difficulty of utopian fiction is the lack of dramatic conflict, a state of perfection, is inherently
uneventful. The counter concept to Utopia is Dystopia, in which hopes for betterment is replaced by
electrifying fears of the ugly consequences of the present day behavior. Utopias tended to have a
placid gloss of phony benevolence, while Dystopias displayed somewhat satanic thunder. Utopias
commonly featured moderns undergoing an experiment to the utopian mind set after which all action
stopped. On the other hand, Dystopia is a character representing modern is excitingly chased down,
persecuted, degraded, and commonly killed. Whether pleasant, ... Show more content on

Application Of Unified Modeling Language
ASSIGNMENT 3 Summary some developers like Jacobson et al, Rumbaugh et al, Booch developed
competing object oriented software engineering methods. Unified modeling language (UML) is
developed in mid 1990s by combining such previously developed software engineering methods.
Object management group(OMG) took control of UML formal evolution in to its hand. It is largely
used as it is considered as a modeling standard for object oriented software development. Some books,
articles and contributions are done by the researchers for defining various aspects of the software and
guidelines on how to use this language. It is important to remember that UML is a language not a
methodology, so that we cannot have consistent guidelines. They even did a examination on unified
modeling language because of its widely acceptance. They even got little evidence on the level and
nature of unified modeling language use. There study included seven unified modeling language
components which are used in system analysis and design. Which addressed three key questions they
are firstly, to what extent and purposes can unified modeling language analysis components can be
used. secondly, does the complexity of the language is due to the differences in the levels of
component use and do such differences exist or not?.thirdly, do UML is successful in establishing
proper communication between the software

Jean Baptiste Lamarck Research Paper
Early 19th century Europe was filled with numerous scientific advances in the field of biology. For
Jean Baptiste Lamarck, this was no exception. Through his personal life, scientific contributions, and
the impact/knowledge that would transpire through his theories, Lamarck was an outstanding scientist
within the biological community, even if he wasn t always recognized as such. Born on August 1st
1744 in Bazentin le Petit, France, Lamarck s childhood was filled with copious recounts of military
service from his father and brothers. Running off to join the French army in 1761, Lamarck was
quickly promoted to officer, and would stay for five years until his discharge due to an accident. When

This stated that evolutionary changes within organisms were caused by environmental factors, and
would then modify their behavior. According to Lamarck, the changes in traits could be hereditarily
passed from one generation to the next, creating a constant change over time for the species. Stating
the prospect of natural selection, Lamarck s theories paralleled Darwin s; only Lamarck came up with
his theories way before Darwin ( Jean Baptiste Lamarck (1744 1829) ). Now thought of as failures,
Lamarck s theories are often ridiculed and mocked. Despite these thoughts, Lamarck managed to lay
ground to many of Darwin s popular theories. According to Charles Darwin Lamarck was the first
man whose conclusions on (evolution) excited much attention. . . he first did the eminent service of
arousing attention to the probability of all changes in the organic, as well as in the inorganic world,
being the result of law, and not of miraculous interposition ( Jean Baptiste Lamarck

Thanksgiving Family Research Paper
This week, families across our state are unboxing their Thanksgiving décor, choosing table cloths, and
deciding who is going to be responsible for what dish next Thursday. It s that time of the year when
we come together, forget our family drama for at least a week and get in the holiday spirit.
Unfortunately, this holiday season comes with a different taste to many. Hundreds of Iowan families
and I will share our Thanksgiving meal with uncertainty, anxiety and fear. The lives of hundreds of
families across our states are at risk. Soon, they might be subject to persecution, intimidation and

It is concerning how folks are still telling me that he can t deport everyone and that I shouldn t take
him literally. I m not sure how I m supposed to take him when he is doing everything he promised
during his campaign. His administration s goal is to deport all of us and two of their main targets are
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiaries.
This is not a drill nor piece of propaganda. This is my call to action to my fellow Iowans.
The Trump administration rescinded DACA on September 5, 2017. This means that the livelihood of
3,000 DACA beneficiaries living in Iowa are at risk. Many have gone to college, started a family and

access health care and social security benefits even though they contribute ### to the program

Speech On Deep Sea Fishing
There s nothing like deep sea fishing! First, there s the solitude and peace you find when you re out in
the ocean with your best buds. Then there s the mental game, the strategy of finding, baiting, and
winning the prize. It s a challenge where success can truly change the life of the fisherman. And
failure is no failure at all you ve still had hours of peaceful, glorious communion with the mother of
nature, the mysterious ocean.
If you re thinking of doing some deep sea fishing, there are a few things you should know before you
go:
1. Grow sea legs!
The quickest way to spoil a deep sea fishing adventure is sea sickness. It s a form of motion sickness,
dominated by nausea, vomiting, and vertigo. To avoid sea sickness, stay away from ... Show more

So if you spot a group of any of these, there are likely to be some tuna nearby. Found in tropical and
sub tropical waters, yellowfin are a prize catch due to their speed and strength. They re a challenging

6. Burn the braid
Deep sea fishers use spiderwire because it s like a spider s web it s easier to feel when a fish takes the
bait. But sometimes, it s hard to cut. If you re having trouble cutting a spiderwire braid, try burning it
with the flame of a lighter or match.
7. Seek the reef
The best place to find the best deep sea fish is near a reef. Many coastal cultures get up to 25% of their
food from reefs. Reefs are natural nurseries for many ocean species, and wherever the tiny ones live,
the big ones search. Another plus is the great diversity of species you ll find near a reef.
8. The Circle Hook
Circle hooks are widely used by deep sea fishers. They re a type of fishing hook that is circular,
sharply curved. The circle hook has a greater success rate at hooking fish, and it does less damage to
gills and fins. So, if you want to catch and throw back, you re more likely to help your catch survive
the adventure.

Some cocaine users will stay up for days, even weeks, and will not eat, which results in their bodies
becoming malnourished. Continued cocaine use can cause sleep deprivation, which can then lead to
aggressive and paranoid behavior. Cocaine is such a powerful stimulant and it can keep a user awake
for days, sometimes longer, which then results in the user hallucinating from lack of sleep.
Hallucinating can then cause the user to become aggressive and paranoid because they are hearing and
seeing things that are not really there. Continued cocaine use can also cause severe tooth decay and
reproductive damage in both men and women. Cocaine causes severe dry mouth, which further
increases the risk of tooth decay, and cocaine can also cause tooth decay because the user will grind
their teeth while using the drug. Continued cocaine use can cause heart attack, stroke, respiratory
failure, and convulsions. Cocaine use has been linked to many types of heart disease. Cocaine has
been found to trigger chaotic heart rhythms, called ventricular fibrillation; accelerate heartbeat and
breathing, and increase blood pressure and body temperature. Physical symptoms may include chest

Social network sites need to convey a sense of responsibility. Based on the increasing level of social
sites engaging in ecommerce, communication and socialization, the need of privacy protection is

Comparing Purity In Orlando And Tale Of Two Cities
Nature, as represented by modernism, is directly related to authenticity, the genuine, the untouched,
and the pure. Purity, as represented by modernism, is distinctly feminine. In this way, conceptions of
nature and femininity are jointly romanticized to be pure and perfect works of god, only to be
corrupted by man s influence. Tom Stoppard s Arcadia exemplifies the modern nature purity concept,
while Charles Dickens Tale of Two Cities exemplifies the modern feminine purity concept. These
texts provide working definitions which can use to explore relationships between nature and the
feminine in other modern works. Virginia Woolf s Orlando and Arundhati Roy s God of Small Things

The purity of femininity and nature does not define modernism alone; the projection of this world
view among countless others is what makes the modern age unique. Arcadia, Tale of Two Cities, and
Orlando are all set in modern England. Orlando, in particular, lives an aristocratic lifestyle in the
golden age of the empire where the sun never sets. Her experience with gender and sexuality emerge
from the norms produced from rationalism and the Enlightenment that supported the colonial regime.
While Orlando s world is turned upside down, the British turned inside out and exported these
cosmologies abroad in colonial endeavors. The rendered image of the colonizer the image of power,
and the image of sophistication is implanted in the populace. Baby Kochamma exemplifies this world
turned inside out in her anglophilia and attempted embrace of the British feminine value of purity
through nature. Thus in observing these texts, we establish an understanding of how modernist
ideology developed historically and spread geographically, now defining the values and world we

Narrative Essay On American Dream
Coming to America your vision is the American Dream . Owning a home , educating your children ,

the gas station business in 2007. During this time gas was at some of its all time highs ; $3.50 per

`` Bohemian Rhapsody `` By Freddie Mercury
Anyone who has ever experienced emotional anguish, that has had the potential to ruin their life, may
find peace by the end of Bohemian Rhapsody. This song was written by an artist who felt a great deal
of pain. He expresses his emotions throughout the song, and at the end realizes that all the pain he was
dealt shouldn t matter to him. Bohemian Rhapsody was written by Freddie Mercury and performed by
a British rock band named Queen in 1975. It is a six minute suite divided into multiple sections
without a refrain. There is an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part, and a
reflective coda. Bohemian Rhapsody consist of many emotional tones and imagery that I can relate to.

still homosexual in later times, he tells his mother to continue on with life as if he was never gay. The
depressing tone and choice of lyrics helped me connect with these stanzas in a more literal sense.
Whenever I listen to or read the lyrics, the imagery I see is me killing a man for the first time in

misery. And lastly, I see my mother crying because she feels as if she failed me; when in reality it was

them word by word, I was able to feel the excitement and anxiety of my first firefight. Lines 28

Due Process Model Versus Crime Control Model
Does the protection of many, outweigh the rights of an individual? That is the ultimate debate between
the crime control model, and the due process model. Although, if we break down the two models, both
would be needed in a perfect society. Now, choosing which I would prefer over the other, I would
prefer to have the crime control model, as the standard in all criminal justice systems across the globe.
The reason for this is, I would rather see the protection of my fellow society, and being able to walk
the streets freely, and be less worried. However, with me choosing that side, I still would prefer to
have both implemented correctly, and even change some of the steps in each process, to try and make
both processes more efficient, than how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now the pros of this model is that the whole process is suppose to be accelerated. Causing the police
force, and the courts to convict those guilty, or release the innocent back into society. The faster this
process is, the more time and effort the police force would be able to exert to lower the overall crime
rate in a city. Packer really showed this support by stating, all of the components of the criminal
justice system must work together to increase the capacity to apprehend, try, convict, and dispose of a
high proportion of criminal offenders whose offenses become known. (p. 40). Cons of this model
however, can be rather horrifying in thought. The main con would be that, even if you are innocent,
you may still be convicted in a crime. It almost every aspect, if something is incredibly fast and
efficient, the accuracy will diminish. Although convictions will increase, the chances of being
wrongfully accused would tarnish the society. Instead of having to worry about crime in general, the
society would have to be worried to not be accused for anything. In a weird comparison, the society
would turn into a town like Salem, in which although you are innocent, because you were accused you

Different Aspects Of A Disease System
DISCUSSION
Zoonotic disease systems are complex and difficult to predict because there are a large number of
biotic and abiotic variables (Alexander et al. 2012). These variables may include biological, genetic,
ecological, environmental, and socio economic factors (Wilcox and Gubler 2005, Estrada Pena et al
2014). However, integrated models can provide crucial insights into the ecological dynamics of a
disease system (Plowright et al. 2008), and they can help inform public health interventions and guide
public health policies (Leach and Scoones 2013). By simplifying these different aspects of a zoonotic
disease system into constrained components that are easier to understand, models can answer specific
questions about disease system ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our MTILG analyses revealed no significant concordance between either species in our study area,
suggesting that the movements of mice and ticks across the region are mutually independent. Indeed, a
previous study on the population genetics of black legged ticks in southern Quebec had shown that
long distance dispersal events likely drive tick movement across the landscape (Leo et al. 2015b).
Therefore, examination of tick and mouse distributions across the region should be performed
independently. Nonetheless, disease models predicting zoonotic disease emergence that engage a multi
species approach will produce more accurate risk projections (Estrada Pena et al. 2014) and so our
efforts to model B. burgdorferi emergence simultaneously incorporated both the black legged ticks
and the white footed mouse.
In addition to host vector pathogen interactions our model also incorporated climate and landscape
based parameters. This is because species respond differently to varying conditions and models that
focus on using only single predictor variable risk omitting the effects of variables operating at other
spatial scales (Raghavan et al. 2013, Riley et al. 2015). Studies on the Lyme disease system in North
America have shown that disease transmission risks in any region can be substantially correlated with
landscape heterogeneity (Brownstein et al. 2005),

The Controversy Of American Muslims And European Muslims
Introduction The mixing of cultures in a global world can cause some serious problems, with Muslim
immigration into Europe being one such (Glazer, 2010). The low skilled poor migrants face hostility
in many European nations, as anti immigration policies and laws are being implemented, with
xenophobia running rampant (Glazer, 2010). Some experts argue that the influx of immigrants is
necessary to combat the inevitable social security and aging workers crisis, yet others argue
technology will solve the problem (Glazer, 2010). With tensions high, questions come to the limelight
over the banning of burqa s in European countries, and the effects these policies will have on future
immigration to Europe (Glazer, 2010).
In general, what are the main differences between American Muslims and European Muslims? While
American Muslims are mainly educated and work professional jobs, European Muslims are migrant
workers from poorer communities and villages such as Turkey, Algeria and Bangladesh (Glazer,
2010). Furthermore, Muslims in Europe contribute to social problems in the realms of unemployment,
school dropouts, welfare dependency, and political persecution (Glazer, 2010).
Why do experts believe anti immigration hostility is increasing in Europe? Some experts argue that
the recent rise in xenophobic promises and policies in European countries has to do with the populace
s fear over job loss, pensions and benefits cutting, and a fear in the loss of a national identity which

The Theory Of Management As A Science
Management as a science
Science is the process of getting things done in correct order. It is the way of coordinating and
gathering information s of day to day knowledge, and used knowledge to formulate rules, law of
principles. In National Humanities Centre (2005, P. 2)
As per Weber, (1975) bosses of nineteenth and twentieth century saw no requirement for social
fulfillment on occupation. In office and shop, their posted approaches every now and again prohibit
mingling , unmoving tattle, or conspiratorial meeting. Experimental administration master exhorted
chiefs to regard individuals as individual piece rate motivating force pay to urge every worker to
deliver to his greatest.
Under experimental administration the activity of laborer (that is, their work, their positive attitude,
and their creativity) is acquired with outright consistency and a more prominent degree than is
conceivable under the old framework; and notwithstanding the change with respect to the men, the
director expects new weights, new obligations, and obligations never longed for before. The director
expect, for occurrence, the weight of assembling all the conventional learning which in the past has
been controlled by the laborers and the ordering, classifying, and lessening this information to
principles, law, and define which are colossally useful to the workers in doing their every day work. in

Critica Critical Thinking
Social research is trustworthy because it is systematic and empirical. By being systematic, social
research is not just carelessly looking for clues, but is structured. Social research must be logical,
consistent, methodical, and coherent. By being empirical, social research is based on physical
evidence. This evidence, or data, is defined by our senses; we can hear, see, touch, feel, or smell it.
Social research is not when someone powerful or smart simply states something as true. While the
social world may be crazy, the study of the world must be orderly. According to the article, critical
thinking is when you don t accept or reject something, but ask questions and analyze the content.
Critical thinking is asking why as opposed to what.

The United States And The Civil War
Starting in 1865, the United States began to experience a series of changes and transformations that
completely altered the landscape of the country. On the political side, the federal government had to
deal with the aftermath of the Civil War and faced the challenge of reintegrating southern states back
into the union while also attempting to institute desegregation movements in the South. From a social
standpoint, almost four million slaves were freed by the end of the Civil War and in search of a better
life, while a wide majority of women saw their roles begin to change as there was a 307% increase in
women joining labor forces from 1880 1930. Meanwhile on the economic side, the entire nation was
undergoing the most significant industrial expansion to date, which would completely alter everyday
life. All of these profound and rapid changes left American citizens in a state of disarray and in search
for order, as they worried about how these changes would affect their lives and social statuses. This
growing paranoia among American citizens, especially in the upper class, culminated with laws and
court rulings being passed that ultimately favored the wealthy elites and prevented these changes from
taking power away from the hands of the people that already had control. Although there were many
instances from 1865 to the start of the 20th century that can illustrate the country s search for order,
the most significant example can be drawn from a decision made by the

Examples Of Positive And Negative Framinging
Engin 270a Quiz
Please complete this quiz and the upload it to the assignment tab when you are finished.
Please define and explain how positive/negative framing works. Please provide one real world
example.
Framing can be defined as the manipulation of others through the use of their perception of reality and
the social constructs behind their behavior. By playing on the perspective with which one presents a
situation, one can influence the outcome of the decision process of the counterpart. Thus, positive and
negative framing are cognitive biases.
On one hand, negative framing uses the fact that when people are choosing between a sure loss and a
gamble, they tend to be risk seeking and they gamble. On the other hand, positive framing uses the
fact that when people are choosing between a sure win and a gamble, they tend to be risk averse and
choose the certain perceived as safe outcome.
Actually, one real world example of framing is the way the results new drugs are presented to
physicians. Depending on whether or not clinical trials results are presented as 5 out of 10 patients
taking this new drug report not being completely cured whereas 5 out of 10 patients taking this new
drug report being cured, it influences the decision made by the clinicians. From the mathematical
standpoint, there is no difference between both statements However, what happens in reality is that
this tends to influence physicians judgements of framing. This generic real world example follows
several papers in the literature like [1],[2].
Please define and explain how anchoring and adjustment works. Please provide one real world
example.
Anchoring and adjustment is a cognitive bias insidiously induced by the importance we give to the
first information it perceive. From this systematic mistake, the information imprints itself and we
unconsciously build upon it for future estimates, impressions, judgments of number, persons,
decisions.
Actually, one real world example of anchoring and adjustment is salary negotiation at play during a
job interview. Recruiters tend to ask the recruit their current/former salary. Afterwards, the move onto
the salary they offer you. What happens is that, our former

Scientific Racism and Antisemitism
Nazism, or Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei was a form of fascism that incorporated
scientific racism and antisemitism; National socialism opposed ideas of equality and international
solidarity. This united rich and poor Germans for a common national project without eliminating class
differences. Volksgemein Schaftor or people s community . Theories of racial hierarchy and social
darwinism asserted the superiority of an Aryan Master race. The nazis sought to exterminate or at the
very least impose segregation upon groups they considered to be degenerate . Some such groups were
jews, homosexuals, blacks and the mentally and physically handicapped. By the early 1920 s Adolf
Hitler had become the movement s leader and assumed control of the organization. The organization
called for a united Greater Germany that would deny citizenship to Jews or those of Jewish descent. In
Mein kampf, written in 1924, Hitler said Nazism preserved pure elements from the left and the right in
politics.
The ideology of Hitler s Nazism was based upon the idea of the Aryan Race being the so called Master

Caucasian Heritage. There a five main subtypes of the Aryan Race: Nordic, Mediterranean, Dinaric,

Essentially, glow sticks are commonly used in laboratories for experiments and in the military for their
miscellaneous reasons. Due to safety, all should be precautious on instructions and handle the well [1].
There are many reasons to consider glow sticks, as they are a benefit to the society, aid in cutting
costs, provide safe lightning and power sources.
On the other hand, glow sticks can potentially damage our environment and also affect us as well if
they are handled in an aggressive and dangerous way. Additionally, due to the chemicals that glow
sticks contain, disposing procedures can be difficult. And if exposed, the chemicals can contaminate
our environment by polluting air with its poisonous fumes [5].
During occasions such as Halloween and night parties, many of the events have glow sticks for young

The most well known of the parks in London, was Vauxhall Gardens founded in 1661 and closed in
1859. These parks consisted of booths, entertainment, fireworks displays and some rides such as
introduction to the modern railroad. The parks grew to accommodate the expectations of their
customers. Rides became a required part of the pleasure garden and by 1896, there were 65 such
pleasure parks in London.
In 1895 Sea Lion Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn opened its doors. It was the first permanent
amusement park in North America. This park was one of the first to charge admission to get into the
park in addition to sell tickets for rides within the park. In 1897, Sea Lion Park was joined by
Steeplechase Park, the first of three major amusement parks that would open in the Coney Island area,

Wuthering Heights Summary
Set in the wild, rugged country of Yorkshire in northern England during the late eighteenth century,
Emily Bronte s masterpiece novel, Wuthering Heights, clearly illustrates the conflict between the
principles of storm and calm ;. The reoccurring theme of this story is captured by the intense, almost
inhuman love between Catherine and Heathcliff and the numerous barriers preventing their union.
The fascinating tale of Wuthering Heights is told mainly through the eyes of Nelly Dean, the former
servant to the two great estates, to Mr. Lockwood, the current tenant of the Grange.

The Function And Purpose Of A Servant Or A Leader
Servanthood and leadershipWhat s the function and purpose of a servant or a leader? When I think of
the verse in Mathew 20:25 28 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you
must be your servant, 27 and Whoever wants to be first must be your slave 28 just as the Son of Man
did not come to be served, But to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. That verse speaks a
lot to me. To think that Jesus The king of kings, the lord of lords came to the earth his very father built

If you are a true leader in whatever you do you have to treat the people like you would if you were in
that situation. That goes to presidents, business owners, coaches, and men of the house. I m not saying
do everything that pleases them but in the difficult times stand up and do the correct action in love and
unity. Whether that be a coach of a sports team stand up for you team if they are not getting treated

company. If you are a CEO you are in a place of leadership, make an impact to change the revenue of
the business to divide the pay so that jobs won t be lost in the hundreds or thousands. I could go on but
being a leader is standing up to the giants in life and saying I m not going to take this no more or who
is willing to give up the little things to win the war, sacrifice, commitment and drive is in my eyes is
what it takes to be a leader. Some other things that I thought leaders should have is a goal in mind to
where their business, church, team, restaurant, etc. As a head coach for a football team, as a great
example would be Seattle s Pete carol, in 2 years he lead a mediocre team to super bowl champions,
because why? They had a goal in mind. As a business owner, you have to know where the company is

The Essential Function Of The Lymphatic System In The...
The lymphatic system is a system made up of tissues and organs, located inside and throughout the
human body. The essential function of the lymphatic system is to keep fluid balance by transporting
lymph, a fluid containing white blood cells, and depositing them into the blood stream. The lymphatic
system helps the body get rid of waste, toxins and other undesirable substances.
The lymphatic system can be looked at as a waste system required in the human body. This waste
system performs a specific circulation to keep the bodily fluids balanced. As blood flows through the
human body, blood plasma spills in the tissues through the narrow walls of the capillaries. The part of
the blood plasma that leaves is known as extracellular or interstitial fluid. Extracellular fluid contains
amino acids, oxygen, glucose and different supplements required by tissue cells. Although the vast
majority of this fluid leaks instantly over into the blood stream, a level of it, alongside the particulate
matter, is left out. The lymphatic system expels this fluid and these materials from tissues, returning
them through the lymphatic vessels to the blood stream, hence keeping a fluid imbalance that results
in the organism s death.
The lymphatic system contains lymph nodes that are tiny glands placed all throughout the human
body. Lymph nodes produce red blood cells and stores cells that fight infections also known as white
blood cells. There are about 600 700 lymph nodes in the human body. Some can

Breast Feeding Across Cultures
Breast feeding has been in practice for a very long time, as early as 2000 BC. Before the invention of
formula, bottles, and pumps this was the safest most common way for a mother to feed their infants. In
fact, for 99% of human history breast milk was the sole source of nutrition for children until the age of
two. In today s society there are many different and opposing personal stand points on where or not a
mother should breast feed their children. It is a very controversial topic with many variables. In breast

The formula in today s society is much more advanced and acceptable. Another reason is that breast
feeding is painful and time consuming. Another common reason to not breast feed is that many
women want to return to work and not be limited to the places they can go such as restaurants and
stores that do not allow breast feeding. There is historical evidence of this all over the world. In Israel
around 2000 BC, children were deemed a blessing, and breastfeeding was considered a religious
obligation. Breastfeeding was not always possible, however, due to lactation failure of the mother In
Greece around 950 BC, women of higher social status frequently demanded wet nurses. Wet nurses
were women that were paid to breast feed new babies when their biological mothers were not able to
accomplish it. Breast feeding a child was widely accepted as the thing to do and even though it was
uncomfortable and inconvenient many mothers took part in it. It was also common for fathers to watch
the process and in turn it was a bonding experience for the whole family and eventually, wet nurses
acquired a position of accountability and authority. The Bible even notes various examples of wet
nurses
At the climax of the Roman Empire, between 300 BC and 400 AD, written contracts were formed with
wet nurses to feed orphaned or unwanted infants which were mostly females thrown out. The wealthy
purchased the infant as an inexpensive slave for future use, and the wet nurses, who were usually

How Did St Augustine Religion Influence Teens
When you think about Augustine s confession, you think about the new generation. In other words, the
conversion that happened over a thousand years ago can be closely related to teenagers of the 21st
century. Before Christianity was developed, a lot of people, especially the Roman emperors could not
accept it. They condemned and harassed the Christians who would claim their faith. When Christianity
was finally accepted, there were still people who contradict with the Christian faith.
Teenagers today find it difficult to come to God, they do not take a straight path. This is similar to
what St Augustine did, teenagers of today try to find meaning in life by being experimental with
different religions or cults. Augustine experimented with the Manicheans, a Persian dualist cult that
believed in two competing gods. The only difference between teenagers of today and Augustine is that
teenagers of today do not go to extreme as St Augustine did rather, they experiment with some of the
main religions. Augustine later saw through the Persian dualist cult and abandoned it. His mother,

WSJ Report 2
Why should shares of Royal Dutch Petroleum Co. and Shell Transport Trading Co. trade lock step
with one another ? What does this suggest about market efficiency?
In 1907 both companies agreed to combine interests while remaining separate entities, and as a result
they share both profits and dividends. However, the divergence between the two companies suggests
that there is semi strong market efficiency because there are arbitrage opportunities, most likely due to
insider information.
What are some of the explanations given in the article for why one company has traded at a premium
over the other over time? Explain how these factors affect stock values.
Royal Dutch Co. and Shell have combined interests and share the same profits and dividends.
However, they exist as separate entities and have distinct stock. Theoretically their stock should trade
at the same price, yet one usually trades at a premium over the other. The article explains that this has
happened in the past is because throughout the 1970 s Britain imposed limits on dividends. This
caused Shell, which is traded on the London Stock Exchange, to be an unattractive stock as it limited
capital gains from dividends. Instead investors opted for Royal Dutch, which is traded on the
Amsterdam Stock Exchange, because it was not subject to the same limits. As a result, Shell s stock
was least valuable. Later, in 1979

There is rapid market expansion because more and more customers, stimulated by mass advertisement
and word of mouth, are making their first, second, and third purchases. Competition is continually
increasing and sales are quickly increasing also. Profits are strong and the outlook is favorable for the
handbag market. The world of accessories for women is in an era where handbags are replacing shoes
as the signiture accessory, despite or maybe because of price tags reaching three and four figure
hights. Handbags are hotter than ever and have become the leading fashion apparel. It¡¦s In The Bag
specializes in women¡¦s accessories, however, most of their products are handbags and other handbag
accessories such as wallets, change purses, cigarette holders, and cellular phone covers. Costume
jewelry, tiaras, hats, and Red Hat Society items are also carried. A newer item added to the sales line is
Pandora jewelry; higher priced sterling silver jewelry offered in a necklace or bracelet with available
charms in all shapes and styles to be added on for an additional price. Being a smaller, customer
oriented business, It¡¦s In The Bag follows a one price strategy in which Pam charges the same price to
all similar customers who purchase identical products. This strategy has been effective because it
shifts the focus from price to other factors, such as product quality. The one price strategy also builds

Why Students Should Not Volunteer At School
Some schools require students to participate in volunteer programs in their community in order to
graduate. Is this reasonable? Students should not have to volunteer to receive their diploma. School
systems should not make student volunteer because it defeats the purpose of volunteering, students
may be incapable of volunteering, and they have already worked four years for their diploma.
The first reason students should not volunteer is because it defeats the purpose of volunteering. If
students are forced to do something they are not going to put in as much effort as they would if they
had decided to volunteer on their own. Volunteering is about helping people and if the students do not
chose to volunteer they are not doing it because they want to help their community they are doing it
because they have to to get their diploma. This is one reason volunteering should not be required to
graduate. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
High school students are really busy it is hard for them to find time for thing like volunteering. A lot of
students have afterschool jobs or practices. They might not get home until seven or eight o clock.
Transportation could also be an issue for students. If they don t have there own car it might be hard for
the to get to the place they have to volunteer. That is the second reason students should not be obliged

Rama And Jesus Comparison Essay
Religions will always compare and contrast one another. For they are all based on the belief of higher
being(s) and must follow a path of righteousness. Rama and Jesus shared this among other things: they
both honored their father s and resisted temptations that arose throughout their journeys. The major
difference noticed is the sacrifices: Jesus had to die to save the humans from our sins, while Rama
brought this with his dharma. Dharma is the religious and moral law, Rama is devoted to this for his
entire life. Rama is so dedicated to this life that he cannot deviate from it. I cannot swerve from the
path of dharma which demands that I should implicitly obey our father (NAWLA, 695). His honor for
the sacred path is exactly why he is considered a noble man. Because his father made a promise to one
of his wives many years ago, Rama must now pay the cost. He was told that he had to go on a fourteen
year journey through the forest before he could become king. Rama went without a ... Show more

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me (John
6:38). God sent Jesus to earth to help others follow the path to Christ and to save the sinners. Like
Rama, Jesus was also viewed as the perfect man. Thus causing Jesus walk the righteous path and
allow others to walk with him. Both men had to save their kingdoms from evil. Rama is an avatar for
Lord Visnu who sent himself to earth to destroy the king of Lanka who was seen as demonic. Jesus
was sent to earth to make sure that the people resisted sin and evil. Temptation followed Rama
throughout his life but he continuously denied it. He was confronted with symbols of wealth, lust, and
power, yet he resisted. He battled against his ego and exorcised his self. By doing this he was able to
attain the equilibrium of his heart and mind. Surpanakha was a disfigured woman who lusted after
Rama. She tried her best to tempt him but he did not

Boys And Girls Club Reflection Paper
The Boys and Girls Club had a different atmosphere, compared to the Child Study Center. When I
arrived on the first day I was intimidated by the mass number of children that were in the building. I
noticed that even though the Boys and Girls Club is a structured environment for children, it does not
do nearly as well at administering the children. While I did have a wonderful time with the children
when I was there, I felt like there was more still activity from the children getting in trouble, than there
were the children doing activities. I had a great time with the kids, I noticed that they were very aware
of what the orange volunteer tag meant. I was not assigned a room upon entering, so I was able to
roam from room to room and interact with any age range I wanted to. For my first visit to the Boys
and Girls Club, on November 6, 2017, I was swarmed by the children aging from five to eight
(kindergarten and first). The children were very affectionate and wanted affection back. From the time
I walked in the gym until I left I had five or six children who wanted to be with me the whole time. I
was in the gym for the first rotation with the kindergarten and first graders, I noticed that they were
not as willing to participate in activities as the children at the Child Study Center were. Also, I was
able to visit the media room and observe the various reading levels the children were on. I noticed that
some children were very eager to read and participate, while others

Exercise At Your Body Weight
I always like to exercise to maintain my body weight because it helps me to get an energy and I feel
very light like a feather. Also, it helps me to make new friends because my friend and I can motivate
each other and share experience. However, I have a problem to maintain my normal weight which is
overeating. I always overeat more because I usually eat ice cream, pudding for desserts after the meal.
Therefore, I want to learn how to stop overeating at every meal to maintain my weight and avoid
desserts as soon as possible. Furthermore, I want to get into my normal routine schedule again, so that
I can manage the diet and change my clothing style to look skinny and maintain muscles in my body. I
want to stop overeating because overeating behavior affect my lifestyle. I cannot focus on my duties
such as finishing homework, cleaning my room, and doing the laundry because I do not want to deal
with these right away. Furthermore, I gained my weight a lot for due to my overeating behavior so that
some of my clothes were small so I want to change this behavior to change my style of clothing as
well. Therefore, I want to learn how to manage my calories so that I will balance my diet in more
productive and smart ways. Also, I want to change my overeating habit because this habit interrupts
my exercise. I usually go to gym three times every week except for weekends, because I have classes
in three days per week now. However, I could not go to gym more often these days

Computer Engineering At Shanghai Jiao Tong University During my college career, through various challenging courses and research experience, as a computer engineering major, I not only obtained a solid background knowledge in this field but developed an analytical mind for research and a passion to continuing working in computer architecture. After deliberating on my future, I decided to apply for the Ph.D. program at (department of Computer Science Engineering) at (the Pennsylvania State University). I was honored to be admitted to the dual degree program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Michigan in 2013. During my freshman and sophomore years at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, I led some embedded system related projects, and developed small applications on different kinds of microprocessors. Writing software that is so close to hardware made me curious about how these microprocessor s internal architecture works. Therefore, I declared my major in Computer Engineering when I started my junior year at the University of Michigan. However, what really got me excited about the field of computer architecture was the Computer Architecture course. The course gave me the opportunity to build a synthesizable two way out of order MIPS R10K based processor in Verilog. Therefore, examination of tick and mouse distributions across the region should be performed independently. The Controversy Of American Muslims And European Muslims Introduction The mixing of cultures in a global world can cause some serious problems, with Muslim immigration into Europe being one such (Glazer, 2010). The low skilled poor migrants face hostility in many European nations, as anti immigration policies and laws are being implemented, with xenophobia running rampant (Glazer, 2010). Some experts argue that the influx of immigrants is necessary to combat the inevitable social security and aging workers crisis, yet others argue technology will solve the problem (Glazer, 2010). With tensions high, questions come to the limelight over the banning of burqa s in European countries, and the effects these policies will have on future immigration to Europe (Glazer, 2010). In general, what are the main differences between American Muslims and European Muslims? While American Muslims are mainly educated and work professional jobs, European Muslims are migrant workers from poorer communities and villages such as Turkey, Algeria and Bangladesh (Glazer, 2010). By being systematic, social research is not just carelessly looking for clues, but is structured. Social research must be logical, consistent, methodical, and coherent. • 25. The United States And The Civil War Starting in 1865, the United States began to experience a series of changes and transformations that completely altered the landscape of the country. On the political side, the federal government had to deal with the aftermath of the Civil War and faced the challenge of reintegrating southern states back into the union while also attempting to institute desegregation movements in the South. From a social standpoint, almost four million slaves were freed by the end of the Civil War and in search of a better life, while a wide majority of women saw their roles begin to change as there was a 307% increase in women joining labor forces from 1880 1930. Meanwhile on the economic side, the entire nation was undergoing the most significant industrial expansion to date, which would completely alter everyday life. All of these profound and rapid changes left American citizens in a state of disarray and in search for order, as they worried about how these changes would affect their lives and social statuses. This growing paranoia among American citizens, especially in the upper class, culminated with laws and court rulings being passed that ultimately favored the wealthy elites and prevented these changes from taking power away from the hands of the people that already had control. Although there were many instances from 1865 to the start of the 20th century that can illustrate the country s search for order, the most significant example can be drawn from a decision made by the ... • 27. Examples Of Positive And Negative Framinging Engin 270a Quiz Please complete this quiz and the upload it to the assignment tab when you are finished. Please define and explain how positive/negative framing works. Please provide one real world example. Framing can be defined as the manipulation of others through the use of their perception of reality and the social constructs behind their behavior. By playing on the perspective with which one presents a situation, one can influence the outcome of the decision process of the counterpart. Thus, positive and negative framing are cognitive biases. On one hand, negative framing uses the fact that when people are choosing between a sure loss and a gamble, they tend to be risk seeking and they gamble. On the other hand, positive framing uses the fact that when people are choosing between a sure win and a gamble, they tend to be risk averse and choose the certain perceived as safe outcome. Actually, one real world example of framing is the way the results new drugs are presented to physicians. Depending on whether or not clinical trials results are presented as 5 out of 10 patients taking this new drug report not being completely cured whereas 5 out of 10 patients taking this new drug report being cured, it influences the decision made by the clinicians. From the mathematical standpoint, there is no difference between both statements However, what happens in reality is that this tends to influence physicians judgements of framing. This generic real world example follows several papers in the literature like [1],[2]. Please define and explain how anchoring and adjustment works. Please provide one real world example. Anchoring and adjustment is a cognitive bias insidiously induced by the importance we give to the first information it perceive. From this systematic mistake, the information imprints itself and we unconsciously build upon it for future estimates, impressions, judgments of number, persons, decisions. Actually, one real world example of anchoring and adjustment is salary negotiation at play during a job interview. Recruiters tend to ask the recruit their current/former salary. • 35. The Essential Function Of The Lymphatic System In The... The lymphatic system is a system made up of tissues and organs, located inside and throughout the human body. The essential function of the lymphatic system is to keep fluid balance by transporting lymph, a fluid containing white blood cells, and depositing them into the blood stream. The lymphatic system helps the body get rid of waste, toxins and other undesirable substances. The lymphatic system can be looked at as a waste system required in the human body. This waste system performs a specific circulation to keep the bodily fluids balanced. As blood flows through the human body, blood plasma spills in the tissues through the narrow walls of the capillaries. The part of the blood plasma that leaves is known as extracellular or interstitial fluid. Extracellular fluid contains amino acids, oxygen, glucose and different supplements required by tissue cells. Although the vast majority of this fluid leaks instantly over into the blood stream, a level of it, alongside the particulate matter, is left out. The lymphatic system expels this fluid and these materials from tissues, returning them through the lymphatic vessels to the blood stream, hence keeping a fluid imbalance that results in the organism s death. The lymphatic system contains lymph nodes that are tiny glands placed all throughout the human body. Lymph nodes produce red blood cells and stores cells that fight infections also known as white blood cells. There are about 600 700 lymph nodes in the human body. Some can ... Group 13 Pamela Castanon Daniel Gage Adriana Tomaylla Gonzalo Lopez Agam Josan WSJ Report 2 Why should shares of Royal Dutch Petroleum Co. and Shell Transport Trading Co. trade lock step with one another ? What does this suggest about market efficiency? In 1907 both companies agreed to combine interests while remaining separate entities, and as a result they share both profits and dividends. However, the divergence between the two companies suggests that there is semi strong market efficiency because there are arbitrage opportunities, most likely due to insider information. What are some of the explanations given in the article for why one company has traded at a premium over the other over time? Explain how these factors affect stock values. Royal Dutch Co. and Shell have combined interests and share the same profits and dividends. However, they exist as separate entities and have distinct stock. Theoretically their stock should trade at the same price, yet one usually trades at a premium over the other. The article explains that this has happened in the past is because throughout the 1970 s Britain imposed limits on dividends. This caused Shell, which is traded on the London Stock Exchange, to be an unattractive stock as it limited capital gains from dividends. Instead investors opted for Royal Dutch, which is traded on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, because it was not subject to the same limits. As a result, Shell s stock was least valuable. • 43. Rama And Jesus Comparison Essay Religions will always compare and contrast one another. For they are all based on the belief of higher being(s) and must follow a path of righteousness. Rama and Jesus shared this among other things: they both honored their father s and resisted temptations that arose throughout their journeys. The major difference noticed is the sacrifices: Jesus had to die to save the humans from our sins, while Rama brought this with his dharma. Dharma is the religious and moral law, Rama is devoted to this for his entire life. Rama is so dedicated to this life that he cannot deviate from it. I cannot swerve from the path of dharma which demands that I should implicitly obey our father (NAWLA, 695). His honor for the sacred path is exactly why he is considered a noble man. Because his father made a promise to one of his wives many years ago, Rama must now pay the cost. He was told that he had to go on a fourteen year journey through the forest before he could become king. Rama went without a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 44. Boys And Girls Club Reflection Paper The Boys and Girls Club had a different atmosphere, compared to the Child Study Center. When I arrived on the first day I was intimidated by the mass number of children that were in the building. I noticed that even though the Boys and Girls Club is a structured environment for children, it does not do nearly as well at administering the children. While I did have a wonderful time with the children when I was there, I felt like there was more still activity from the children getting in trouble, than there were the children doing activities. I had a great time with the kids, I noticed that they were very aware of what the orange volunteer tag meant. I was not assigned a room upon entering, so I was able to roam from room to room and interact with any age range I wanted to. For my first visit to the Boys and Girls Club, on November 6, 2017, I was swarmed by the children aging from five to eight (kindergarten and first). The children were very affectionate and wanted affection back. From the time I walked in the gym until I left I had five or six children who wanted to be with me the whole time. I was in the gym for the first rotation with the kindergarten and first graders, I noticed that they were not as willing to participate in activities as the children at the Child Study Center were. Also, I was able to visit the media room and observe the various reading levels the children were on. I noticed that some children were very eager to read and participate, while others ...
