3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? A media institution is an establishment which is often a profit based organization, that deal in the creation and distribution of advertising, entertainment and information services. Within the specific area of music magazines, there is a wide variety of different media institutions that publish the magazines. The 3 main media institutions that publish music magazines are:  IPC media publish NME and Uncut magazine which are both very successful music magazines.  I could choose this media institution to distribute my media product because the magazines that they publish share a similar target audience to IMMERSE. Rheingold Publishing would not be a suitable media institution to distribute IMMERSE. as they focus on more classical music which is a completely different genre then what my target audience is interested in. A few of their magazines are for music teachers so the expected content will be very different then to feature inside my magazine. I think that BAUER media would be most likely to distribute my media product because they are a very popular establishment who are well known for their connection with the music industry as they have 20 radio stations and also publish KERRANG! MOJO and Q magazine which are three of the most popular music magazines sold in the UK. IMMERSE. also fits in with the same genres and target audience of KERRANG! as it follows many of the same forms and conventions. Another reason why BAUER would be suitable is because of the high quality of printing  which would be important for IMMERSE. as  there is a large focus on the photos throughout the magazine.
