3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
Bauer Media When doing my research into the Bauer Media having found that it was one of the biggest magazine companies in the U.K reaching over 19 million people and having more than eighty influential media brands at first i felt it would be perfect to distribute my magazine however i realised that although it may distribute magazines such as ‘Kerrang!’ ‘Mojo’ and ‘Q’ and would therefore know exactly how to market my magazine i realised that these magazines were very similar to mine and therefore wouldn’t need to distribute another magazine the same as it would simply become a competitor to their already successful magazines on the market.
IPC I realise that IPC may not have as much experience as Bauer media having not published as many magazines however i realised that because of this their would be more of a gap in the market and would make more sense for them to distribute it  plus they have published magazines such as ‘NME’, ‘Uncut’ and ‘Guitar and Bass’ and so would have experience in publishing music magazines and already have loyal customers interested in the music genre (Indie/Rock) which might be interested in purchasing my magazine and as my magazine is aimed at a slightly younger target audience than music magazines IPC publish for example ‘Uncut’ it would mean my magazine would be a perfect new addition to IPC,  being something new on the market.
