IPC Media would be a good institution to distribute the music magazine "Desolation" because it publishes magazines like NME that focus on indie rock music. Distributing through IPC Media could gain more attention from consumers since it is a well-known institution that targets the same audience. Bauer Media would also be suitable since it publishes the popular rock magazine Kerrang!, which would help reach a larger audience and increase interest in "Desolation" due to Bauer Media's established audience.

2. A media institution is the different types of companies in media such as television, radio, movies,
publishing and the Internet. Another example would be the BBC, SKY or IPC Media.
One of the well known media magazine institutions that NME is published by is called IPC Media
which I think will be one of the good institutions that could distribute my music magazine,
Desolation because my targeted genre is Indie rock and since NME is one of the magazines
associated with IPC media this would allow the chance of the audience being able to be
interested in my magazine and since they would be from a well known institution it is more likely
that someone will look at my magazine gaining more views and attention from the consumers
and also since IPC Media has the same genre and target audience as my targeted audience also
means consumers will be more likely to look at each of our music magazines which will benefit
IPC Media as well as my music magazine.
Another well known institutions that is a good institution for my music magazine to be in would
be Bauer Media as one of their famous magazine publishes is Kerrang! which is a well known
Rock music magazine which will also fit with my music magazine genre ( sub culture indie rock)
and since it is well known it means my magazine may be viewed by a larger audience as Bauer
Media has a popular magazine behind it like Kerrang! and Mojo also means that they have a
larger audience which means my magazine will more likely have people taking an interest in my
magazine.
