Post Campaign Evaluation Paper
post campaign evaluation, organizations would begin to communicate through email
newsletters and social media.
Changing the communication vehicles would not only reach more people, but illustrate
to customers that the organization actively listened. This alteration could mean
significant growth for organizations both in customers and cost savings. According to
Wilcox Cameron (2012), the primary purpose of an evaluation is to provide feedback
that can be used in planning more cost efficient programs for the future. Its purpose is
to study what was done so that it can and will be done better next time. This is where
the cost savings come in (Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986, p. 191).
In doing things better the next time and in accordance to campaign assessments,
organizations are safeguarding their reputations. Reputation is a core asset of an
organization and creates barriers to competitive threats (Schreiber, 2011). Established
reputations hinder competitive mobility and deliver returns to organizations because
they are difficult to emulate (Schreiber, 2011). A solid reputation evokes that the
products and/or services offered by the organization are of higher quality (Carmeli Tisler,
2005) and that the firm is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The organizations that do not conduct them cite costs as one of the primary reasons.
According to Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986), hesitation exists among public relations
practitioners and even management to spend money evaluating completed programs
because funds could be used for current or future public relations activity (p. 190). Other
issues include lack of expertise by public relations practitioners not trained in social
science research methods (Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986); the time required for systematic
evaluation (Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986); doubts about its usefulness and importance (Yin,

Chimney Sweeper By William Blake Analysis
Sociologist Max Weber recognized that, as technology expands, as does the gap
between the lower class and rich. His studies came from watching the Industrial
Revolution take place and the social system change from feudalism to capitalism.
Similarly, William Blake, who lived in Industrial Revolution era England, witnessed
this widening gap firsthand. Commenting on the inhumane labor practices common to
the poor in 19th century England, he wrote 2 versions of a poem called The Chimney
Sweeper in different collections Songs of Innocence (1789) and Songs of Experience
(1794). With these poems, Blake comments on the practice of using small children as
chimney sweepers, drawing attention to the inhumanity and immorality of the
practice and the way it s overlooked. In the Songs of Innocence version, Blake writes a
narrative from the point of view of a child laborer. The tone is full of youthful
innocence, which harshly contrasts the somber truth of the speaker s situation. The
speaker is a young child, as implied in clever onomatopoeia in line 4, Could scarcely
cry weep! weep! weep! weep! In these lines, the speaker means both literally a weep,
as well as the word sweep, which, if said by a young child, may sound like weep. With
this clever word choice, Blake invites readers to profoundly pity the poor child, as he is
so young that he cannot even speak properly, yet sent to his death anyway. The child s
innocence continues to be of presence, shaping the poem. In later

GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
ABSTRACT
This research work focus on the appraisal of Macroeconomic Policy on Inflation in
Nigerian Economy, also to determine how it enhances the growth of Nigerian Economy.
The aim of this research work is to look into challenges and numbers of hypothesis were

Although, there two policies are independent tools of economics stabilization, they are
often combined by most countries for a greater effect on the economy.
Monetary and Fiscal policies as adopted in Nigeria have four broad objectives. The
objectives include:В¬
Maintenance of relative stability in domestic price
Attainment of a high and sustainable rate of economic development
Maintenance of balance of payment equilibrium growth and stability are so closely
related that the economic policy o the government should include both of them.
Economic growth may be judges from the growth it total output of the economy as

Magazines In Canadian Culture
Strange as it may sound, Canadians truly love they re magazines. According to
Magazines Canada (2012), which is an organization funded by the Canadian government,
Canadians read more magazines per capita than any other nation in the world. This, in
and of itself, should show the extent in which magazines play a part in Canadian culture.
In 1960 the Royal Commission on Publications found that 75% of the general interest
magazines bought in Canadawere American publications, that Time and Reader s Digest
took 40 cents out of every dollar of magazineadvertising, and that there were only 5
Canadian general interest consumer magazines (S. Martin, S. Sarfati, 2013). Harsh
restrictions on foreign publications were recommended but these recommendations...

Veterans Health Administration Case Study
Description and Background:
The Veterans Affairs (VA) uses the Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning
Value Model (SAIL) to analyze the performance of each of their hospital systems within
the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). VA Medical Centers are assessed
individually using 26 quality measures that include avoidable adverse events, access to
care, patient satisfaction, and care transitions.1 Care transitions are when the movement
of a patient is coordinated from one health care setting to another or to home based care.
Readmissions are one of the most costly events for a hospital and most often they are
preventable.2 In the Durham VA Health Care System, one of the focuses is to decrease
the readmission rate by improving streamlining the care transitions process. The ... Show

years. The five priority areas are: access, employee engagement, business practices,
building a high performance health care network, and restore pride, public trust, and
confidence in the VA. Performance improvement of care transitions focuses on these five
priorities by:
1.Creating immediate access to care for veterans by reducing length of stay and
readmission rates.
2.Creating a culture of communication and expectations through health care team
involvement that nurtures employee engagement that is veteran centric. This is a veteran
centric culture of team involvement that includes the veterans and their family.
3.Ensuring that business practices are effective and appropriate, and streamline those that
are not.
4.Building a high performance health care network through leadership support in
implementing proven best practices.

Emily Dickinson Manipulation
Time is defined as the indefinite continuation of existence with events such as past,
present and future regarded as a whole. In the human world it has become commonplace
for us to regard time regularly despite how astronomically complex it is in both theory
and reality. Time is widely recognized as an irreverisble process, but when it is played
around with it can explain what we cannot understand through its normal flow. Such is
the case with the poems of American poet Emily Dickinson, who practices the art of
manipulating timethrough precise movements and careful calculations in order to
demonstrate to a human mind an idea that she feels is something we do not fully grasp,
like in the poem Because I could not stop for Death . Dickinson s use of time is to
convey the ideas which we cannot... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a normal light, one would not be able to truly understand just how the speaker has
experienced her time with death if she simply explained it as one whole event. For
instance, We slowly drove He knew no haste, demonstrates just how slowly the time
has passed for her in comparison to the world around them. Furthermore, Since then tis
Centuries and yet / feels shorter than the Day, explicitly states that, in fact, it has been
centuries since her ride began despite feeling shorter than a day. In these cases, time is
put into a small window frame that broadens our horizons on just how time in the world
has passed for the speaker. It assists our thinking processes to fully appreciate how time
has impacted the speaker while also explaining just how a concept like Death shifts time
to the back of our minds when it has played such a heavy role in our lives. To summarize,
Dickinson conveys, through time, that the journey of death is something that feels too
short, but has actually been far too
Literary Analysis Of Woman Hollering Creek
In the two short stories, Woman Hollering Creek by Sandra Cisneros and Bernice Bobs
Her Hair by F. Scott Fitzgerald, both use the theme of societal expectations and
discrimination of women as the basis of their plots.
In the piece of literature named Woman Hollering Creek by Sandra Cisneros, one of
the major types of literary conflicts is person vs. society regarding the main protagonist
and society s expectations of her. To elaborate, the protagonist Cleofilas Hernandez,
does not have a strong female role model in her life and is living in a patriarchal society
that leaves her and other woman like her unaware of their potential. An example of this
unawareness caused by society is when Cleofilas is saved from her abusive
relationship by a strong, independent woman named Felice who gave Cleofilas a
glimpse of the life that she may achieve one day. A quotation by the narrator states,
Everything about this woman, this Felice, amazed Cleofilas. The fact that she drove a
pickup. A pick up, mind you, but when Cleofilas asked if it was her husbands, she said
she didn t have a husband (220 Cisneros). An analysis this quote clearly illustrates to the
reader that Cleofilas obviously did not have any knowledge of a woman being able to
have her own car, inevitably leading the reader into wondering what else society does not
want her to know. Furthermore, this quotation suggests that this society does not have
independent women due to Cleofilas surprising reaction to just the simple thought of a
woman having a car. This proves that the literary conflict of person vs society is
evidently present in this short story because Cleofilas is unmistakably placed in a
society who did not support or have empowering women figures like Felice. Ultimately,
with Cleofilas not knowing her self worth or having a female role model in her life, it
leads to her forgiving her husband for his abusive nature. With this visible fact, a major
theme within the boundaries of societal expectation and discrimination of women in
Woman Hollering Creek is domestic abuse. In the short story, Cleofilas is involved in an
abusive marriage in which her husband emotionally and physically attacks her daily
because she has no means to protect
The Works Of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker
Determining ownership of a choreographed piece can be quite difficult. This has been
a controversial topic for quite some time. An individual thinks of dance as a free
expression and feels that the expression can be utilized without permission. However,
the controversy ensues when a choreographer puts their body into motion and pen to

and creativity and translates it into a work of art. (Andrews) After a choreographer
applies their unique style a piece can then be copyrighted and protected from duplication

Psychology Of Groups
The thought of sitting in a room filled with people who have similar interests and enjoy
each other s company seems a lot better than being alone, and not being included in the
cluster of people. There are many reasons why people may want to join groups and Bill
Wasik, who writes
My Crowd Experiment: The Mob Experiment talks about some of the reasons why it
seems interesting to join one. People may want to join groups because they will not be
bored, it can allow someone to accomplish many things and feel good, and they can gain
friends.
By joining a group, people can reduce the chances of being bored. It allows them to
engage in activities they like or even have new experiences. Wasik talks about how he

Joining a group can also provide people with feelings of accomplishments. In an online
article by Lee Rainie, Kristen Purcell, and Aaron Smith, they state how people consider
joining a group weather the individual thinks the group can accomplish its goals (63%
say that this is very important in their decision) (Joining, participating in and leaving
groups). People tend to enjoy being a part of a successful project and it makes them feel
good when a goal is achieved.
They also may join to show off accomplishments they may have made and to feel they
feel they have a purpose in doing something to benefit others. Wasik talks about how 200
people came together to do a flash mob at a hotel and After five minutes of staring, the
ring erupted
Making Decisions Today For Health Care Tomorow Essay
Making Decisions Today For Health Care Tomorow
Today, 80 85% of Americans die in medical institutions. Of those, 70% require decisions
about whether to apply, withhold, or withdraw medical treatment (Makar 58). Due to
this ever increasing number, the right to die is one of the most popular and controversial
topics in medicine today. The issue comes down to personal beliefs and ethics and the
fact that there is so little clear cut legislation on this topic confuses it even more. Advance
Directives provide, in theory, for self determination and put the patients mind at ease

Prolongation of a patients life started to reflect on the physicians ability. The
relationship between this and huge advances in medical technology in the 1960s that
introduced new machines that could be used to temporarily restore health led to
several problems. One is that these machines began to be put to use even in cases
where there was no hope of recovering with the previous quality of life. Second, even
physicians who didnt want to use these machines sort of got trapped into using them in
emergencies, when it was unclear what the outlook for the patient was. Once the
machines are hooked up, it is difficult for legal reasons to get them turned off
(Lieberson 27). In this way advance directives are economically wise because they
eliminate a lot of unwanted, but previously unavoidable expensive health care (report,
Abram et al. 56 57).
LIVING WILLS
In 1976, California passed the first living will act. The legislators felt that for terminally
ill patients, the loss of dignity and the amount of pain and suffering that they endured in
receiving life sustaining treatment often outweighed the medical benefits that they
received (Lieberson, 13). Another problem that the state hoped to correct for with the
development of advance directives is that there wasnt any legal accountability on the
medical profession to heed patients requests toward life sustaining procedures.

Immigration Is A Major Issue
Immigration is a major issue in the 2016 presidential election. Millions of undocumented
immigrants live in the U.S. and border agents spend so much time apprehending illegal
immigrants that agencies cannot focus on criminal and terrorist threats. The growing
awareness that our immigration system is dysfunctional has affected the candidate s
position on the issue. The candidates I have chosen to highlight are Democrat Hillary
Clinton, Republican Donald Trump and Libertarian Gary Johnson.
Hillary Clinton, Democratic candidate stated: We have to finally and once and for all fix
our immigration system this is a family issue. It s an economic issue too, but it is at heart
a family issue. If we claim we are for family, then we have to pull together and resolve the
outstanding issues around our broken immigration system. The American people support
comprehensive immigration reform not just because it s the right thing to do and it is but
because it will strengthen families, strengthen our economy, and strengthen our country.
That s why we can t wait any longer, we can t wait any longer for a path to full and equal
citizenship. (https://www.hillaryclinton.com)
Clinton promises she will work to ensure a fair and just immigration system. She is
fighting for an America where every family has a sense of belonging. She believes it is
important to keep families together and ensure a more human immigration enforcement
system instead of breaking up hardworking, law abiding
Coffee Run Short Story
Coffee Run
The body was just lying there. What should I do? Should I call the police? What if they
think it was me? No, I am innocent. Am I? Of course I am. I should call the police now.
Right?
There was coffee all over the floor. It was mine. I had dropped it when I saw the body.
Why would I get coffee? I hate coffee. I only drink coffee when I am in serious trouble
and do not know what to do.
My vase was broken. I hated that vase. I am happy that whoever was responsible for this
criminal act used that vase. Wait, how do I know he used that vase? How do I know it
was a he? It only makes sense. Right?
When I looked at the body, I realized who it was. It was Mr. Tolen, my neighbour. I
hated him; he was always asking me if I needed help. I could do things by myself. I
was not completely brainless like him. He always tried to get me to come to his
community parties too. I never went. He should have gotten the hint that I had no
interest in going. Then why did I invite him to my house? All I remembered was that I
had something important to do, and it involved him. It is good that he died. No, it is not,
he should have died somewhere else. It was his own fault that this has happened to him.

Merchant Of Venice Theme Analysis
The Merchant of Venice
Question:
The Merchant of Venice was a play about a Jewish moneylender who plots to cut off a
pound of flesh from a Merchant whom he has a history with. Revenge was the central
theme of Shakespeare s play The Merchant of Venice . However, there are other themes
throughout the text, namely friendship and prejudice, that help to emphasise revenge as
the central theme of the play.
Revenge is an integral part of the play and characters in the play. Revenge is what drives
Shylock, seeking to obtain revenge on Antonio. In a way, Jessica seeks revenge for the
hell that her father made at home. In Venice, during the time of Shakespeare, Jews
were not seen as humans. They were alienated for their beliefs and due to the belief
that Jews were responsible for the death of Christ. As a result of this alienation, Jews
were forced to wear red hats whenever going out, which made them ripe for the picking
for abuse and discrimination. Such discrimination has been laid down on Shylock,
with Antonio spitting on him and calling him a cut throat dog . As seen in Scene Act
1, Scene 3, Antonio, even after receiving a loan, I am as like to call thee so again, To
spit on thee again, to spurn thee too. This shows how unthankful Antonio is towards
Shylock, simply because he is a Jew. It is no wonder why Shylock seeks revenge on
Antonio. When asked by Salanio what good a pound of flesh will do, Shylock simply
states To bait fish withal: if it will feed nothing else, it

to act I was rated similarly to what my observers rated me. I labeled myself at 26
which is pretty high and my observers labeled me at 26.3. For encouraging the heart, I
rated myself at 19 but my observers thought I was much more than that. Every
individual rated me higher than a 20 which is outstanding because I didn t see myself
as being motivational. More people believe that I paint the big picure of group
aspirations than myself. Connecting this to inspire a shared vision, I rated myself a 2 but
the oberservers average is at 3.8, this is interesting since I didn t see myself as
motivational. I do see myself modeling the way and setting a personal example, when it
comes to family or leading by example. I am labeled as a 5 and my observers believed I
am a 4.7, so they don t believe I m so far behind.
Cormac McCarthy The Crossing Essay
Cormac McCarthy The Crossing
This story contains an almost equal balance of good and evil, though it also raises
questions of what is truly good. It blurs the line between good and selfish or thoughtless.
Characters actions sometimes appear impure, but in the long run, are good.
In this story Billy is faced with a wide range of undeserved punishments, but shows good
through all of them with his strong will and determination. He accepts the things that
happen to him in a levelheaded manner, which works to keep the story from becoming
a tragedy. The first instance of undeserved punishment is the death of Billy s family.
Not only was he unable to help them in any way, there was no good reason for it to
happen. While Billy could lose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While Billy and Boyd are trying to get to Casas Grandes, another good hearted
character appears. After an old man draws them a map in the sand, three of the four
men sitting on a nearby bench begin laughing at Billy and Boyd. Billy asks if the map
is incorrect, and one man says that it s, not a question of a correct map, but of any map
at all. While the three men mock the boys, one man actually is kind and helpful to them.
The man tells the boys of landmarks on the path, and the duration of the journey. Instead
of just agreeing with his peers and mocking Billy and Boyd, the man went against what
was expected of him to help them out.
Another character who demonstrates purity in his actions is the doctor who helps Boyd.
The doctors initial statement is, You have nothing to pay of course. He doesn t even
seem to expect payment for his services. Even when Billy offers him a horse, the doctor
won t accept it. Rather than bettering himself, the doctor is more concerned with helping
Boyd. Many modern day doctors would think only of the cost of their time and effort, not
of the health of the patient, while the doctor in the story is working for the greater good,
rather than money.
Black Hole Research Papers
Black Holes This paper will introduce you to the incredible topic which is black holes.
A black hole is a region of space time exhibiting such strong gravitational effects that
nothing can escape from inside it. (NASA) No human has ever entered a black hole and
there is still a large mystery about them; we have very little idea of where the matter that
enters them goes. A black holecannot be looked into either, as it sucks all the light into
the middle of it. Space programs use special satellites with certain features that allow
them to see these black holes. A black hole can be big or small, sometimes forming when
a staris dying. Some scientists speculate that there can be black holes just 1 centimeter
large. There are multiple types of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scary right? Well what about a black hole sucking in the earth, is it possible?
Thankfully, black holes do not go around eating stars, moons, and planets. There is no
black hole close enough to the earth for it to be able to be sucked into. If a black hole the
same mass as the sun were to replace the sun, earth would still not be able to fall into it.
The black hole would have the same gravity as the sun and the planets would orbit it,
just as they do the sun. Also, the sun will never turn into a black hole, as it is not a big
enough star to create one.
Effects Of Meritocracy
Over the elementary and secondary school years, there were many knowledgeable
experiences that will develop one s mind cognitively and socially among environmental
factors that surrounds them. These experiences may be examined by three notable
factors; socialization, national identity and bureaucracy. This paper is aimed to examine
the effects of the three essential factors in the settings of elementary and secondary
school to demonstrate the factors of meritocracy (eg. multicultural education), produced
by the Canadian educational system as it shies away from factors of dominant culture in
former curriculums.
With the powerful agents of socialization, they may render an significant impact to how
the educated students comprehend the materials that were taught to them. Socialization
involves a learning process in which individuals learn to members of a given society
(Steckley, 2017, p.472). Education can be a powerful socializing agent because factors in
schools (eg. teachers, textbooks) are often the first source of information that children
will receive about social groups other than their own (Steckley, 2017, p.113). This phrase
demonstrates that education and school is influential and important to the minds of
children; contains the ability to shift their perceptions. Looking at social experiences in
classrooms, there was a study conducted by Kristin Klopfenstein where if the educator
has the ethnic background or has similar social location as the student, it may

  • 2. Post Campaign Evaluation Paper post campaign evaluation, organizations would begin to communicate through email newsletters and social media. Changing the communication vehicles would not only reach more people, but illustrate to customers that the organization actively listened. This alteration could mean significant growth for organizations both in customers and cost savings. According to Wilcox Cameron (2012), the primary purpose of an evaluation is to provide feedback that can be used in planning more cost efficient programs for the future. Its purpose is to study what was done so that it can and will be done better next time. This is where the cost savings come in (Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986, p. 191). In doing things better the next time and in accordance to campaign assessments, organizations are safeguarding their reputations. Reputation is a core asset of an organization and creates barriers to competitive threats (Schreiber, 2011). Established reputations hinder competitive mobility and deliver returns to organizations because they are difficult to emulate (Schreiber, 2011). Other issues include lack of expertise by public relations practitioners not trained in social science research methods (Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986); the time required for systematic evaluation (Wilcox, Ault, Agee, 1986); doubts about its usefulness and importance (Yin, Krishnan, Ean,

  • 5. Chimney Sweeper By William Blake Analysis Sociologist Max Weber recognized that, as technology expands, as does the gap between the lower class and rich. His studies came from watching the Industrial Revolution take place and the social system change from feudalism to capitalism. Similarly, William Blake, who lived in Industrial Revolution era England, witnessed this widening gap firsthand. Commenting on the inhumane labor practices common to the poor in 19th century England, he wrote 2 versions of a poem called The Chimney Sweeper in different collections Songs of Innocence (1789) and Songs of Experience (1794). With these poems, Blake comments on the practice of using small children as chimney sweepers, drawing attention to the inhumanity and immorality of the practice and the way it s overlooked. In the Songs of Innocence version, Blake writes a narrative from the point of view of a child laborer. The tone is full of youthful innocence, which harshly contrasts the somber truth of the speaker s situation. The speaker is a young child, as implied in clever onomatopoeia in line 4, Could scarcely cry weep! weep! weep! weep! In these lines, the speaker means both literally a weep, as well as the word sweep, which, if said by a young child, may sound like weep. With this clever word choice, Blake invites readers to profoundly pity the poor child, as he is so young that he cannot even speak properly, yet sent to his death anyway. The child s innocence continues to be of presence, shaping the poem. In later

Veterans Health Administration Case Study Description and Background: The Veterans Affairs (VA) uses the Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning Value Model (SAIL) to analyze the performance of each of their hospital systems within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). VA Medical Centers are assessed individually using 26 quality measures that include avoidable adverse events, access to care, patient satisfaction, and care transitions.1 Care transitions are when the movement of a patient is coordinated from one health care setting to another or to home based care. • 11. Emily Dickinson Manipulation Time is defined as the indefinite continuation of existence with events such as past, present and future regarded as a whole. In the human world it has become commonplace for us to regard time regularly despite how astronomically complex it is in both theory and reality. Time is widely recognized as an irreverisble process, but when it is played around with it can explain what we cannot understand through its normal flow. Such is the case with the poems of American poet Emily Dickinson, who practices the art of manipulating timethrough precise movements and careful calculations in order to demonstrate to a human mind an idea that she feels is something we do not fully grasp, like in the poem Because I could not stop for Death . Dickinson s use of time is to convey the ideas which we cannot... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a normal light, one would not be able to truly understand just how the speaker has experienced her time with death if she simply explained it as one whole event. For instance, We slowly drove He knew no haste, demonstrates just how slowly the time has passed for her in comparison to the world around them. Furthermore, Since then tis Centuries and yet / feels shorter than the Day, explicitly states that, in fact, it has been centuries since her ride began despite feeling shorter than a day. In these cases, time is put into a small window frame that broadens our horizons on just how time in the world has passed for the speaker. It assists our thinking processes to fully appreciate how time has impacted the speaker while also explaining just how a concept like Death shifts time to the back of our minds when it has played such a heavy role in our lives. To summarize, Dickinson conveys, through time, that the journey of death is something that feels too short, but has actually been far too
  • 12. Literary Analysis Of Woman Hollering Creek In the two short stories, Woman Hollering Creek by Sandra Cisneros and Bernice Bobs Her Hair by F. Scott Fitzgerald, both use the theme of societal expectations and discrimination of women as the basis of their plots. In the piece of literature named Woman Hollering Creek by Sandra Cisneros, one of the major types of literary conflicts is person vs. society regarding the main protagonist and society s expectations of her. To elaborate, the protagonist Cleofilas Hernandez, does not have a strong female role model in her life and is living in a patriarchal society that leaves her and other woman like her unaware of their potential. An example of this unawareness caused by society is when Cleofilas is saved from her abusive relationship by a strong, independent woman named Felice who gave Cleofilas a glimpse of the life that she may achieve one day. A quotation by the narrator states, Everything about this woman, this Felice, amazed Cleofilas. The fact that she drove a pickup. A pick up, mind you, but when Cleofilas asked if it was her husbands, she said she didn t have a husband (220 Cisneros). An analysis this quote clearly illustrates to the reader that Cleofilas obviously did not have any knowledge of a woman being able to have her own car, inevitably leading the reader into wondering what else society does not want her to know. Furthermore, this quotation suggests that this society does not have independent women due to Cleofilas surprising reaction to just the simple thought of a woman having a car. This proves that the literary conflict of person vs society is evidently present in this short story because Cleofilas is unmistakably placed in a society who did not support or have empowering women figures like Felice. Ultimately, with Cleofilas not knowing her self worth or having a female role model in her life, it leads to her forgiving her husband for his abusive nature. With this visible fact, a major theme within the boundaries of societal expectation and discrimination of women in Woman Hollering Creek is domestic abuse. In the short story, Cleofilas is involved in an abusive marriage in which her husband emotionally and physically attacks her daily because she has no means to protect

Of those, 70% require decisions about whether to apply, withhold, or withdraw medical treatment (Makar 58). Due to this ever increasing number, the right to die is one of the most popular and controversial topics in medicine today. The issue comes down to personal beliefs and ethics and the fact that there is so little clear cut legislation on this topic confuses it even more. The relationship between this and huge advances in medical technology in the 1960s that introduced new machines that could be used to temporarily restore health led to several problems. One is that these machines began to be put to use even in cases where there was no hope of recovering with the previous quality of life. Second, even physicians who didnt want to use these machines sort of got trapped into using them in emergencies, when it was unclear what the outlook for the patient was. Once the machines are hooked up, it is difficult for legal reasons to get them turned off (Lieberson 27). In this way advance directives are economically wise because they eliminate a lot of unwanted, but previously unavoidable expensive health care (report, Abram et al. 56 57). LIVING WILLS In 1976, California passed the first living will act. The legislators felt that for terminally ill patients, the loss of dignity and the amount of pain and suffering that they endured in receiving life sustaining treatment often outweighed the medical benefits that they received (Lieberson, 13). Another problem that the state hoped to correct for with the development of advance directives is that there wasnt any legal accountability on the medical profession to heed patients requests toward life sustaining procedures. Millions of undocumented immigrants live in the U.S. and border agents spend so much time apprehending illegal immigrants that agencies cannot focus on criminal and terrorist threats. The growing awareness that our immigration system is dysfunctional has affected the candidate s position on the issue. The candidates I have chosen to highlight are Democrat Hillary Clinton, Republican Donald Trump and Libertarian Gary Johnson. Hillary Clinton, Democratic candidate stated: We have to finally and once and for all fix our immigration system this is a family issue. It s an economic issue too, but it is at heart a family issue. If we claim we are for family, then we have to pull together and resolve the outstanding issues around our broken immigration system. The American people support comprehensive immigration reform not just because it s the right thing to do and it is but because it will strengthen families, strengthen our economy, and strengthen our country. That s why we can t wait any longer, we can t wait any longer for a path to full and equal citizenship. • 18. Merchant Of Venice Theme Analysis The Merchant of Venice Question: The Merchant of Venice was a play about a Jewish moneylender who plots to cut off a pound of flesh from a Merchant whom he has a history with. Revenge was the central theme of Shakespeare s play The Merchant of Venice . However, there are other themes throughout the text, namely friendship and prejudice, that help to emphasise revenge as the central theme of the play. Revenge is an integral part of the play and characters in the play. Revenge is what drives Shylock, seeking to obtain revenge on Antonio. In a way, Jessica seeks revenge for the hell that her father made at home. In Venice, during the time of Shakespeare, Jews were not seen as humans. They were alienated for their beliefs and due to the belief that Jews were responsible for the death of Christ. As a result of this alienation, Jews were forced to wear red hats whenever going out, which made them ripe for the picking for abuse and discrimination. Such discrimination has been laid down on Shylock, with Antonio spitting on him and calling him a cut throat dog . As seen in Scene Act 1, Scene 3, Antonio, even after receiving a loan, I am as like to call thee so again, To spit on thee again, to spurn thee too. This shows how unthankful Antonio is towards Shylock, simply because he is a Jew. It is no wonder why Shylock seeks revenge on Antonio. When asked by Salanio what good a pound of flesh will do, Shylock simply states To bait fish withal: if it will feed nothing else, it

Effects Of Meritocracy Over the elementary and secondary school years, there were many knowledgeable experiences that will develop one s mind cognitively and socially among environmental factors that surrounds them. These experiences may be examined by three notable factors; socialization, national identity and bureaucracy. This paper is aimed to examine the effects of the three essential factors in the settings of elementary and secondary school to demonstrate the factors of meritocracy (eg. multicultural education), produced by the Canadian educational system as it shies away from factors of dominant culture in former curriculums. With the powerful agents of socialization, they may render an significant impact to how the educated students comprehend the materials that were taught to them. Socialization involves a learning process in which individuals learn to members of a given society (Steckley, 2017, p.472). Education can be a powerful socializing agent because factors in schools (eg. teachers, textbooks) are often the first source of information that children will receive about social groups other than their own (Steckley, 2017, p.113). This phrase demonstrates that education and school is influential and important to the minds of children; contains the ability to shift their perceptions.
