of the sector that has been evident in 2010 at 26.1% is believed to be a result of the consumers buying
items in this sector as low priced treats. With consumers remaining cautious with regard to spending
after the recession, this sector provided consumers with opportunities to treat themselves with
generally cheap items; rather than buying new garments, accessories could be bought to bring an
existing outfit up to date. Fashion trends have also started to focus on accessories much more than has
previously been seen, with more items bought for fashion purposes rather than functionality.

The Emotional Development Of Young Children
The emotional development in young children plays a very important role throughout their lives
especially in their education. From birth to about eight years of age, children are learning the meaning
behind each emotion and how to appropriately use them to express themselves. Erik Erikson,
psychologist, created an 8 socioemotional stage development theory explaining what skills were being
developed at certain ages. Parental monitoring is important during childhood to determine their
emotional progress to catch any delays or disabilities developing. Positive nurturing will create a more
positive outcome in their education. Also how the effects of bullying and child maltreatment can lead
to an poor outcome in your child s educational success. Erik Erikson, a German psychologist created
an eight stage socioemotional development theory about early childhood development. Each stage
shows what emotions and characteristics are being developed during each age of a child s life. Stage 1,
trust vs mistrust; occurs from infancy to 2 years of age. As a baby you must learn to trust that your
mother or caregiver will feed and take care of you until you are able to do so yourself. Stage 2,
autonomy vs shame; usually occurs between 18 months to 2 years and 3 and a half to 4 years of age.
Stage 3 is initiative vs guilt; occurs around 3 and a half years of age. Stage 4 is industry vs inferiority
by this time the child is mastering social studies, math, arithmetics. This occurs during

The Early Stages Of Grieving
During the grief process, a person may encounter a number of different stages of grief at the same
time, which involves acceptance, depression, anger, bargaining and denial. These stages are not in any
type of sequential order or based on a progression that s predictable. They re a collation of the 5
common experiences for the grieving that may occur in any particular order, if at all. During these
times, a person needs to be honest with themselves. Often times, the behavior continues even in the
early stages of recovery causing a person to fall to their knees in deep depression when mirroring
themselves feeling powerless during the substance separation. To encounter fear of purpose and the

Competitive Strategy for Low Cost Airlines
Hongwei Jiang
RMIT University, Australia
Abstract The aim of this paper is to identify challenge faced to Low Cost Carriers (LCCs) or Low
Cost Airlines and provide new insights into the development and competitive strategy for LCCs. LCCs
are still a relatively new phenomenon in Australia since Virgin Blue and Jetstar came to the market.
There are over 30 LCCs have been launched since 2002 worldwide. In fact, LCCs have been very
successful in the USA and Europe since 1990s. For example, in 1994 less than 3 million passengers
flew on LCCs. In 1999, five years later, this figure had risen to about 17.5 ... Show more content on

Today, Southwest Airlines operates more than 3,100 daily flights to 62 cities across the United States,
and registers yearly more than 80 million passengers. What began as a small Texas airline, Southwest
now has grown to become one of the largest airlines in the United States1. European history of low
cost airlines is much younger, but those airlines are for sure trendsetters of the 1990s. The expansion
of LCCs in Europe coincided with the final deregulation of the market during the 1990s. Genuine
lowcost operations began in Great Britain in the 1990s with the Irish company Ryanair (founded in
1985 and started operating flights in 1986), which was patterned on American Southwest Airlines.
Following Great Britain, LCCs have successfully developed on the Continent (Grotte, 2005). In the
year 2005, there are 60 low cost airlines operating in Europe2. Prior to 2002, there were no significant
low cost scheduled carriers operating in the Asia Pacific rim. The initial slow development was in part
due to the perception that the low cost model adopted in the United States and Europe could not be
replicated in Asia, because of the longer aircraft stage lengths, lack of secondary airports and
regulatory restrictions preventing access to international markets. The latter being particularly relevant

The Characteristics Of Christopher Columbus
Write your first paragraph here:
In document A, it was made by Jean Marzollo. It s also written as a poem. It was written in 1948. The
poem was about when Christopher Columbus went traveling to different islands through the day and
night and he met lots of kind people in an island. He had to bring treasure for his people too. The
purpose was to prove people that he was a very good, brave, and a bright man for traveling and
finding treasure for his people. The point of view in this poem or document is that Christopher was a
brave and a kind man. This point of view is different from the others because this shows that it s a
peaceful and it has a few nice things about Christopher Columbus. The best difference is between this
source and source C. In source three it shows negative and violent things for what Christopher
Columbus did.

Document B is made by Christopher Columbus. It was a letter to the king and queen named King
Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. This source was written in 1493. This letter by Christopher Columbus
was about when Christopher found an island and named it Hispana. Hispana had various of things. For
example, golds, different kinds of species, and metals. He brought them with him to share them. This

Unique Paths to the Supreme Court Essay
Article III of the Constitution of the United States vests judicial power in one supreme Court . With
incredible adaptability, the Constitution has stood the test of time. Largely due to the limited
specificity as to the application of its words, the Constitution has allowed the character of the Court to
be historically defined by the individuals who have held the position of Chief Justice of the United
States . The ideology and individual Constitutional interpretation of each Chief Justice has changed
both the influential power and message of the Court. Earl Warren, Warren Burger, and John G.

It had been a long time since Warren had practiced law and he had only practiced for a short amount
of time after law school (Newton 42). During a private meeting at the McClellan Air Force Base in
California, Eisenhower s Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr. told Governor Warren that President
Eisenhower was going to appoint him as Solicitor General until a spot on the Supreme Court became
vacant. The President believed that service as Solicitor General would be valuable prior to
membership on the Court (Schwartz 2). Typical of standard informal appointing procedure, Attorney
General Brownell, Jr. played a large role in Warren s transition from Governor to Chief Justice of the
Supreme Court. According to David O Brien in Storm Center, Most presidents delegate responsibility
to their attorneys general and close White House adverse for selecting candidates and getting them
throughout the Senate (O Brien 40). Only a few days after the meeting with Attorney General
Brownell, Jr., Earl Warren s future changed when Chief Justice Fred M. Vinson died unexpectedly of a
heart attack (Schwartz 3). President Eisenhower had promised Warren the first vacant seat without
expecting Chief Justice Vinson s seat to become vacant; Eisenhower had an Associate Justice s seat in

Effects Of Online Social Networking On Society
Throughout the years, our society has experienced dramatic change due to technological advances.
Technology has become a vital part of our everyday lives that has greatly influenced the way we
interact with each other and our environment. Through the development of social networking, it has
easily kept us updated on what is going on around the world and in other people s lives. Instead of
face to face communication, the younger generation perceives social media to be a place to share
emotional connections and stay connected with their significant other. The aim of this research is to
investigate the effects of online social networking constructing romantic relationships. With the many
different ways to interact with your significant other through social networking, it has altered the
hookup culture as well as the authenticity and social value of relationships through time, distance and
space. Through this notion, it is proven that social networking sites can have both negative and
positive aspects upon a relationship. However, how does social media and romantic relationships
among teenagers and young adults lead to the notion of stress? How does the lack of face to face
interaction affection a relationship? With the development of social media applications such as Tinder,
Bumble, Facebook etc., how has it affected what defines authenticity of relationships? These are a few
questions that raise concern for people that engage with these social networks. Within the use of

Wild Land Firefighting Essay
Every year in the U.S there are incidents that occurred dealing with fires in the forest. This is when
wild land firefighting comes in to action. Advancements in firefighting have improved in the past such
as improvement in technology in fighting fires, equipment being used, and different preventions to
take in action to help incidents from becoming destructive and uncontrollable, and lastly knowing

rapidly spreading fire that acts very quickly and intensely. Captain Moses Harris assumes the

Seat Belt Safety
A young man was being pulled over for not wearing his seat belt, while the officer was writing the
violator a citation, a drunk, and speeding driver haphazardly sped past them running into a guiltless
bystander. It may seem like having more stringent seat belt laws is a reputable idea; Nevertheless, It is
not the most feasible way to maintain safety on the road, Drivers would be safer if they merely
exercised some common sense to put down their cell phones and paid attention to the road. Failing to
wear a seat belt should not be illegal because it only affects the driver s safety, it is impractical for
police to enforce, and lastly, the majority of people already wears a seat belt.
By not wearing a seat belt only the driver s security is affected. First, Whenever a driver is not using
his seat belt the protection of others on the road is not affected (Balaker 113). To clarify, There is
simply no need to protect people from their poor decisions. Likewise, Laws should focus on protecting

Those people don t need to worry about getting pulled over because they already understand the

The Bank of England and The 2008 Financial Crisis Essay
Due to the 2008 financial crisis, the Bank of England employed quantitative easing (an
unconventional monetary policy used to stimulate the economy) by cutting interest rates down to 0.5
% and has been keeping it until now. The Bank made the decision to keep QE and the interest rate
unchanged in March. Spare capacity (the ability of a firm to produce more of a product than is now
being produced) is used by the BoE to justify its use of forward guidance policy (a communicative
tool for monetary policy). Low interest rates improved the economy by increasing consumption and
investment, which are the components of AD. The AD curve shows the total spending on goods and
services in a period of time at a given price level. In constructing on AD ... Show more content on

The money supply will increase as the components of AD (C+I) rise. Figure 2 illustrates the increase
in money supply through showing the rightward shift of the MS curve, from MS1 to MS2. The money
demand will remain the same (MD). Therefore, increasing the money supply will lower the interest
rate from i1 to i2. This is partly due to the increased availability of money. More money around means
it is easier to acquire and thus command lower interest rates. However, such an increase in money
supply may also increase the inflation rate and possibly cause a hyperinflation if uncontrolled.
The main benefit of low interest rates is its stimulating effect on economy. The BoE can help start
businesses spending on goods which helps the economy in the long run and can help consumers to
spend more on durable goods. Also the consumers demand for products will increase. This will force
the firms to try to meet the demands by hiring additional workers which in turn will reduce the
unemployment rate.
A disadvantage of low interest rates is low interest rates harm savers and those who rely heavily on
interest income in the long run. Workers are influenced by lowered interest rates because the firms that
benefited from the changes in rates will hire more workers while the opposite will be true for the
negatively affected firms. Stockholders are affected because when interest rates rise, stocks tend to
fall. Suppliers

A Dream Deferred
The poetry of Langston Hughes, the poet laureate of Harlem, is an effective commentary on the
condition of blacks in America during the 20th Century. Hughes places particular emphasis on
Harlem, a black area in New York that became a destination of many hopeful blacks in the first half of
the 1900ís. In much of Hughes poetry, a theme that runs throughout is that of a dream deferred. The
recurrence of a dream deferred in several Hughes poems paints a clear picture of the disappointment
and dismay that blacks in America faced in Harlem. Furthermore, as each poem develops, so does the
feeling behind a dream deferred, growing more serious and even angry with each new stanza. br br To

The poem changes moods with the lines I ve seen them come dark/ out of Penn Station / but the trains
are late. / The gates are open / Yet there re bars / at each gate. The people have not found what they
expected and hoped for in Harlem. These last lines help the reader to understand the feelings that
accompanied the harsh reality of Harlem. The addition of the blunt question, What happens / to a
dream deferred? maintains this understanding: this is the dream deferred, and this is what the people
were experiencing. The question is harsh and unyielding, and its position in the poem creates a feeling
of seriousness. Another Hughes poem, Same in Blues, attempts to establish further the idea of a dream
deferred, incorporating a type of dialogue between characters to explain the components of a dream
deferred, adding an element of anger to the end. The first stanza has a woman telling her man that she
has to keep moving, followed by the lines, There s a certain / amount of traveling / in a dream
deferred. This method continues through four stanzas, where peopl converse, and a new component is
introduced: a certain amount of nothing, a certain amount of impotence. The last component the poem
introduces is the most effective: There s liable / to be confusion / in a dream deferred. The poem
continues to say that there s liable to be confusion / when a dream

Research Paper On The Great San Francisco Earthquake
The great San Francisco Earthquake was a very deadly earthquake that occurred on April 18, 1906 at
5:12 a.m. The quake was so big that it could be felt from South Oregon to LA, as well as central
Nevada. It broke the San Andreas fault, both north and south, 296 miles total. Fires occurred right
after the quake, and because the earthquake had broken most of the water pipes, the fires burned for
three days, causing around 28,000 buildings to burn down and more than 3,000 deaths. This caused
$500,000,000 ($500 million) in damages in 1906 currency. In our currency as of last year, this would

Socrates In Plato s The Apologia
The Apologia
Through the analyzing of The Apologia, is it learned much about the life of Socrates as well as how he
lived. In the Apology, Plato recounts the words given by Socrates during his trying in which he was
sentenced to death. During the trial, Socrates defends himself on two charges, which are set in writing
by Meletus, one of the prosecutors. The first set of charges Socrates refers to them as the first lying
accusations , and are informal charges to set an image of who people believe Socrates to be. The
second set makes up the formal accusations and the charges that they hope commit Socrates to death.
The speech was given by Socrates to defend himself to the Athenian Council against chargers of
corrupting the young, and by not believing in the gods the city believes that are in the novel. Although
no such speech was recorded, with the idea that Plato was at the trial, we can conclude that the
dialogue of the Apologia contains words as they were remembered by Plato. The original speech was
written in 399 BC in hopes of Socrates defending his reputation against his accusers. The speech was
then rewritten by Plato as remembers the trial and words . Socrates. addresses each charges in the

Essay about Terror in Spielberg s Jaws
Terror in Spielberg s Jaws
The film Jaws exemplifies the statement Sublime terror rests in the unseen the ultimate horror . Some
people would say that dismemberment and gore is needed to terrorise an audience, but this only
shocks and disgusts viewers. A horror film should therefore make the audience imagine the terror in
order to maximise the fear factor.
Many horror films nowadays use similar techniques to those used by Spielberg in the film Jaws . They
use techniques such as framing and mise en scene in order to create something called safe space and

The shower scene only lasts about a minute, but is made of about eighty shots. This effect has made
this scene a very famous one because of the way it creates tension and frightens the audience.
In the film Jaws , the vast ocean is the unsafe space with the shark moving around it. The use of safe
and unsafe space helps create and build up tension. At the beginning of the film Jaws , the shark s
attacks are close by to the shore, which shows us that the shallow water cannot stop it from attacking
people. But as the film persists, the shark attacks are out in the middle of the ocean and from the
moment the characters leave the beach to go hunting, they are cut off from the rest of the characters.
This is where the mise en scene technique is most used in the film. The shark cannot be seen as it is a
vast ocean and it could jump out unexpectedly of at any time from any direction at the characters,
which would destroy the safe space.
The film was directed by Steven Spielberg, a well known director in Hollywood and a splendid
director throughout his filming career. The film was produced by David Brown and Richard D.
Zanuck in 1975. The film lasts 93 minutes and is rated as a 12. The idea of creating this film came
from the book Jaws written by Peter Benchley. Like many of Spielberg s films, the film Jaws can be

Essay on The Global Threat of Malicious Code
The Global Threat of Malicious Code
I. Introduction
Malicious code is Software or firmware intended to perform an unauthorized process that will have an
adverse impact on the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of an information system. 1 Today, as
ubiquitous computing is fast becoming a reality and information systems are becoming a part of
everything from mobile phones to cars, any threat to an information system represents a risk to
hardware, software, data, and the users that depend on their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

So they built a large horse and presented it to the Trojans as a gift, which the Trojans accepted. Hidden
inside the gigantic horse was a small army of Greek soldiers. During the night, the soldiers
dismounted and quickly gained control of key defenses, allowing the rest of the Greek army to invade
the previously invulnerable city of Troy. Just as in the myth, Trojan horse programs allow
unauthorized users access to a computer system. While viruses and worms usually carry a payload,
Trojan horses usually do not. Payloads are the part of the malicious code that modify, erase, or leak
information from a system. They may also alter the state of a system, by displaying a simple undesired
screen or causing programs to crash or behave abnormally. The lifecycle of viruses and worms is to
infect as many systems or files as possible, and then to execute its payload at a predetermined trigger.
The trigger may be a time or system event. Trojans, on the other hand, allow unauthorized,
anonymous access to information systems. Another type of threat that is becoming increasingly
popular is malicious code hybrids. Hybrids use a combination of virus, worm, and Trojan techniques;
virus techniques for self replication, worm techniques for rapid propagation over the Internet, and
Trojan techniques for remote system compromise. Today, hybrids represent a growing threat because
of their increasing sophistication and multiple propagation

The View and Interpretation of the Term Genre
Discuss what we understand by the term genre and how it relates to the way we view and interpret
films
The way in which we, as an audience, view and interpret films can be seen to relate directly to our
understanding of genre . However, what is genre? Drawing on the knowledge of key theorists and
critics such as Steve Neale and Barry Langford this essay will first attempt to define genre and our
understanding of it before focusing on how genre relates to the audiences view and interpretation of
films. It will also touch upon the historical contexts of genre, and how genre helps the film industry
create films and their interpretation of film. An interpretation that differs in a number of ways to that
of an audience s due to their goals being different thanks to the ways they view film. Before we can
begin to delve into how genre relates to the way we as an audience view and interpret films, we must
first attempt to define and understand what the term genre means when relating it to the film industry,
in particular Hollywood.
Genre is a simple French word meaning type and therefore when taking this simple, direct approach
we can see genre as a type of film or films such as a comedy , which has the association, in many
cases, with humour. However, this approach generates large conflicting ideals within set genres . It
provides the understanding that genre has fixed boundaries that cannot be pushed to allow for
flexibility in a films direction. An example of this can

The Haymarket Affair
The Haymarket Affair
For many, America is not just the country they happen to live in but also it is a place of freedoms,
liberties and independencies and even a refuge for some people. In 1886 though, a group of people
attempted to share their opinion in Haymarket Square, Chicago, which led to a dangerous riot and a
series of trials with convictions and executions. Throughout the affair, innocent lives were lost, people
were wrongly accused, and the judicial system was revealed as flawed. Throughout the trial,
Constitutional rights were overlooked in the name of prejudice and because of fear, just to please the
public. The Haymarket Affair involved a violent riot caused by overbearing police officers; it also

At the close of trial proceedings, the judge informed the jury that they could find the eight accused to
be guilty even if the crime was committed by someone who was not charged. He also said that it was
not necessary for the state to know the identity of the bomber or to prove that the bomber had read any
of the articles or poster of the charged anarchists. Though the judge, prosecutor, and jury can be
considered misguided in their bias and actions of injustice, some of the witnesses against the accused
are widely acknowledged as liars. In comparison to the eyewitnesses of the defendants, every part of
their details went against those of the witnesses of the police.
Though the defendants faced prejudice and discrimination, they kept on with their cases and appeals
until the verdicts were determined. The attorneys of the accused were Black and Swett. Along with the
allegation that Grinnell s witnesses were lying, the defending lawyers said that none of the eight had
intended for any form violence and they even offered proof that some of the accused were not even
near Haymarket Square on May 4th. Furthermore along with their apparent innocence, six of the eight
were not present when the bomb went off, and the two that were there, Spies and Samuel Fielden were
both in plain view of the crowd and police. Despite the logic of the defendant s case, passion and
prejudice led the jury to conclude that the bombing was a direct result of a deliberate conspiracy.

the Edwardian Era War the Caroline War and the Lancastrian War . Conflicts in the near areas, which
were directly related to this conflict, included the War of the Breton Succession the Castilian Civil
War the War of the Two Peters in Aragon, and the Crisis in Portugal. Later historians invented the term
Hundred Years War as a memory to keep memories of all these events, though constructing the longest
military conflict in history. These facts lead up on how the fight of misconfusion between the state and
the state even started.By proximity of blood, the nearest male relative of Charles IV was his nephew
Edward III of England. Edward was the son of Isabella, the sister of the dead Charles IV, but the
question arose whether she should be able to transmit a right to inherit that she did not herself possess.

Essay on The Truth Behind Music and Television
How many hours, on average, do young adults spend listening to music and watching television? For
music, young adults spend about two and a half hours listening throughout the day. Music is merely
organized sound that is meaningful and designed to entertain the audience listening. Music and
television are more than just relaxing activities to spend extra time but can affect the psychological
and developmental process of young adults. It may help young adults get their feelings across easily,
but it does more harm than good. Parents and even experts know and have proven that listening to
certain types of music and watching too much television are corrupting the minds of young adults. For

The type of music they listen to is usually the mood they are in at the time (Mariam). Listening to their
favorite kind of music is a way for them to express themselves. People try to find something in every
song to try to connect to it. If it is through the lyrics, the story behind it, or even the way that the song
makes them feel. The reason young adults listen to music is to connect with it and to articulate their
feelings in ways that they would not be able to do through their actions. The lyrics rapped by the
artists can be things going on in their own personal lives (Mariam). Even the artist is using music to
express the way that they feeling in the moment when they wrote the song. The music that one listens

people who listen to it. This raw material is not the best for young adults. When a person likes a

Middle English Prehistory Essay
Prehistory refers to a time period in the past before the introduction of writing, or the time before
history was written by the people. Another definition states that prehistory is the time and a series of
events before and eventually led to the development of something (e.g. a certain material or
philosophy).
Moreover, the University of Leicester define prehistory as a study of the human past from 3.2 million
years ago wherein the first stone tools were made, until the modern era. There is no strict time period
of prehistory, and a prehistory of a certain area may end later than that of the other. For example,
Britain ended its prehistory when the Roman army arrived there, while in Australia, hunter gatherers
have been dwelling in that continent at the instant of the European invasion in the 18th century.
Practically, prehistory is more concerned with the lives of the people during those times and how the

marketing the product that turned out to be very infamous to the market. In total, the firm spent more

Recently, Sawasdee Media completed official partnership contract with True Internet Corporation

indigenous and city cultures. Even though this is the case, this small Central American country is
affected by the same social problems as a whole. In order to understand Honduras present, it is
important to know some history of the country that have influenced how Honduran society is today.

The strict religious traditions and beliefs in Honduras make it very difficult to divorce through the
Roman Catholic Church because annulments are very difficult to obtain. When a couple marries
through religion, it is most common that they will remain together despite their problems. A problem
with this is that class also plays a role in marriage. As the Country Studies explain, religious marriage
is favored by middle and upper class groups; thus, it signifies higher socioeconomic status (Merrill:
Family). To put it all together, family is a very important social element in Honduran society, and
when it fails more social problems are created. Honduras economy has not been very successful over
the past years. The CIA World Fact book considers Honduras as the second poorest country in the
Western Hemisphere after Haiti (294). The main reason for this is the extreme unequal distribution of
wealth and the high underemployment. According to the textbook, underemployment is the number of
employed individuals who are working in a job that underpays them, is not equal to their skill level, or
involves fewer working hours (Leon Guerrero 239). This applies to the work force of Honduras
because of many reasons. To begin with, it is hard to find a good salary job because the minimum
wage is very low. This wage is 6,500 lempiras a month, which is equal to $325. Evidently, this is not
sufficient to meet a family s need.

The last consequence of the fairy world and real world colliding involve Titania and Bottom. Due to
Oberon clouding Titania s vision and Puck turning Bottom into an ass, it mixes together perfectly, to

play due to it being it the base for the entire plot. The whole reason Titania and Bottom s relationship
prevails is that Oberon needs a distraction for her, it would make his task much easier to acquire the
child if Titania was preoccupied. The main plot revolves around this and soon after, more conflicts
follow. This the last conflict that Shakespeare must restore order to, making it a very important
moment. Oberon restores order to the situation after he has met his goal, saying I will release the fairy

The World Bank
Governance is becoming more and more essential in values of major international institutions. In order
to receive the World Bank credit, poor countries need to comply several conditions set by World Bank

may result in tension, exploiting of one by the other, and impact negatively on both society and

institutions, World Bank and other major international institutions created monitoring and complaint
processing panels to monitor its activities (Park, 2010). However the scope of influence of these
panels can be limited and can have insufficient results. Though decision making in World Bank is

ultimately making key decisions without enough involvement of poorer countries. This paper will aim

effectiveness of the World Bank inspection panel.

the modern world in most cases cannot be handled by single state or institution (W.Scharpf, 1994).

Themes In Dead Poets Society
In the Dead Poet s Society the racial, class, and gender identities of the characters are singular. The
boys in the movie attend an all male boarding school in which all the students are Caucasian. In
addition, the boys seem to come from wealthy families that can afford to send their boys to such a
prestigious boarding school. This monolithic starting point provides an opportunity for issues to
develop as cracks in the conservative façade.
Mr. Perry, Neil s father claims to come from a lower class upbringing and is obsessed with giving his
son opportunities that cost money such as medical school, Harvard, and the Welton Academy. Mr.
Perry s behavior, along with the conservative Academy and its repressive headmaster, echo and the
documentary of the McLean(VA) high school viewed in class. The documentary illustrated the
differences between a wealthy and poorer school. Taken together, these sources lead me to believe that
there is an enormous emphasis placed on class and wealth by the characters in the movie. The boys in
the movie are privileged for their ease of access to great education. None of the boys in the movie
work for the school or have jobs to pay for their schooling at the prestigious Welton Academy which
prepares them intensely for the best colleges available.
The boys in the movie may be privileged but the older generation, represented by, Headmaster Nolan,
and Mr. Keating, seem to have the greatest power and influence of any characters in the movie.

The Character Of Iago In Shakespeare s Othello
The purpose of this case study is to examine Iago, specifically his actions, to diagnose him with
antisocial personality disorder. Iago is an extremely talented manipulator, and reveals this through his
plot against Othello in Shakespeare s tragedy, Othello. According to DSM 5, persons with antisocial
personality disorder exhibit actions that contradict laws, violate the well being of others, and lack
remorse. Additionally, persons with antisocial personality disorder are deceitful, impulsive, irritable,
aggressive, reckless, and irresponsible (American Psychiatric Association). Throughout the play, Iago
continuously exhibits many of these characteristics. Therefore, Iago is being diagnosed with antisocial
personality disorder because he manipulates others to obtain the things he wants and he provokes
actions of violence that disregard other s well being. Iago frequently uses deceitful and manipulative
actions to achieve his personal desires, leading to the diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder. In
Shakespeare s Othello, Iago s manipulative personality is displayed in his plot to get Cassio, Othello s
lieutenant, fired. Iago pressures Cassio to have a drink and Cassio gives in, resulting in Cassio
becoming drunk. Iago fooled Montano, the governor of Cyprus, into believing that Iago is an

Lincoln s Failure
Realizing that you ve failed something is hard to do. No one wants to accept defeat, and that s a flaw
that most people have. Failure isn t always negative. However, it isn t always easy to apply this
concept to your own situation either. When we think of failing, we think of not being good enough or
not having the qualities needed to improve. We look down upon failure and defeat instead of seeing
the raw potential it holds. If you feel hopeless when your goal isn t accomplished the way you wanted
it to be, there is no need to worry: it s extremely natural to lose motivation when you re standing face

The Anatomy Of Colorectal Anatomy
Colorectal anatomy
The large intestine extends from the end of the ileum to the anus. It is about 1.5 meters long. It differs
from the small intestine in its greater caliber, its more fixed position, its sacculated form, and in
possessing certain appendages to its external coat, the appendices epiploicae. Further, its longitudinal
muscular fibers do not form a continuous layer around the gut, but are arranged in three longitudinal
bands. The large intestine is divided into the cecum, colon, rectum, and anal canal (Henry Gray 2004).
I The Cecum:
It is attached to the ileum and extends approximately two and one half inches below it. The cecum in
an adult usually is adherent to the posterior wall of the peritoneal cavity and has a serosal covering on
its anterior wall only. The cecum forms a blind pouch from which the appendix projects (Henry Gray
2004).
Its size is variously estimated by different authors, but on an average it may be said to be 6.25 cm in
length and 7.5 cm in width. It rests on the iliacus psoas major muscles, usually in contact with the
anterior abdominal wall. (Henry Gray , 2004).
II The colon:
The colon functions as a reservoir moving its contents caudally toward the anal canal. It is divided
into four parts: the ascending colon, the transverse colon, the descending colon, and the sigmoid colon
( Fenoglio et al,1999).
 Ascending colon:
It is approximately six inches long and extends upward from the ileo cecal valve to the hepatic

and do explorations Different people have different say in this matter, but Fox News has generated
multiple reasons why we should have human explorations on Mars. The first and most obvious reason
would be because we want more scientific knowledge and discover more about the Mars. We were
able to gain many knowledge about the Mars through robotic explorations, but scientist and others
aspiring scientist have strong enthusiasm that humans can do a more thorough exploration on the

Disease Control And Prevention Starting Reporting Lyme...
Introduction
Since the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention starting reporting Lyme disease as a reportable
disease in 1991 it has been the most commonly reported vector borne illness is the United States1. It
should be noted that Lyme disease does not occur everywhere in the US, and is heavily concentrated
in upper Midwest and northeast United States1. This report has been compiled to provide
recommendations for prophylactic treatment of Lyme disease once a patient encounters a tick bite.
Lyme disease is caused by the spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi, which is transmitted by Ixodes
dammini, otherwise known as the deer tick3. B. burgdorferi lives in the midgut of the deer tick, and
becomes active after a tick s gut is filled with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Serologic testing has not been proven to be effective in identifying B. burgdorferi. Antimicrobial
therapy has been at the forefront of research in trying to identify if prophylactic treatment is necessary
and what drug and dosing is most appropriate.
Antimicrobial Prophylaxis
In 1992 Shapiro et al. published their research informing providers prophylactic antimicrobial
treatment is not routinely indicated.2 There were a total of 387 patients in the controlled trial, 203
patients assigned to receive amoxicillin and 182 were given a placebo. Either 250mg of amoxicillin or
a placebo was given to subjects three times a day for ten days. 15 subjects dropped out and 7 subjects
had already shown positive serologic testing to B. burgdorferi and were therefore dismissed from the
study. Out of 173 subjects who received the placebo only two developed symptomatic infection with
B. burgdorferi; whereas, none of the 192 subjects who were given amoxicillin showed any infection.
They concluded the risk of actually becoming infected with B. burgdorferi is so small that the
prophylactic use of antibiotics does not make a clinical significance and should not be used. The
authors also indicated that most deer ticks are actually not infected with B. burgdorferi, which may
help explain why so little placebo subjects showed a positive infection after their encounter.
While Shapiro et al. was not able to recommend antimicrobial prophylaxis with amoxicillin Nadelman
et al. devised

Market sector Clothing accessories are generally used for functional use. However many items are purchased for fashion and style purposes. This fact, according to Keynote Clothing Retailing Market report (2013), has brought a great development in the sector. The value of accessories sector touched £2.86bn in 2012. Furthermore, the important increase of the sector that has been evident in 2010 at 26.1% is believed to be a result of the consumers buying items in this sector as low priced treats. The Bank made the decision to keep QE and the interest rate unchanged in March. Spare capacity (the ability of a firm to produce more of a product than is now being produced) is used by the BoE to justify its use of forward guidance policy (a communicative tool for monetary policy). The money demand will remain the same (MD). Therefore, increasing the money supply will lower the interest rate from i1 to i2. This is partly due to the increased availability of money. More money around means it is easier to acquire and thus command lower interest rates. However, such an increase in money supply may also increase the inflation rate and possibly cause a hyperinflation if uncontrolled. The main benefit of low interest rates is its stimulating effect on economy. The BoE can help start businesses spending on goods which helps the economy in the long run and can help consumers to spend more on durable goods. Also the consumers demand for products will increase. This will force the firms to try to meet the demands by hiring additional workers which in turn will reduce the unemployment rate. A disadvantage of low interest rates is low interest rates harm savers and those who rely heavily on interest income in the long run. • 25. Middle English Prehistory Essay Prehistory refers to a time period in the past before the introduction of writing, or the time before history was written by the people. Another definition states that prehistory is the time and a series of events before and eventually led to the development of something (e.g. a certain material or philosophy). Moreover, the University of Leicester define prehistory as a study of the human past from 3.2 million years ago wherein the first stone tools were made, until the modern era. There is no strict time period of prehistory, and a prehistory of a certain area may end later than that of the other. For example, Britain ended its prehistory when the Roman army arrived there, while in Australia, hunter gatherers have been dwelling in that continent at the instant of the European invasion in the 18th century. As the Country Studies explain, religious marriage is favored by middle and upper class groups; thus, it signifies higher socioeconomic status (Merrill: Family). To put it all together, family is a very important social element in Honduran society, and when it fails more social problems are created. Honduras economy has not been very successful over the past years. The CIA World Fact book considers Honduras as the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere after Haiti (294). The main reason for this is the extreme unequal distribution of wealth and the high underemployment. According to the textbook, underemployment is the number of employed individuals who are working in a job that underpays them, is not equal to their skill level, or involves fewer working hours (Leon Guerrero 239). This applies to the work force of Honduras because of many reasons. To begin with, it is hard to find a good salary job because the minimum wage is very low. This wage is 6,500 lempiras a month, which is equal to $325. Evidently, this is not sufficient to meet a family s need. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. The Character Of Iago In Shakespeare s Othello The purpose of this case study is to examine Iago, specifically his actions, to diagnose him with antisocial personality disorder. Iago is an extremely talented manipulator, and reveals this through his plot against Othello in Shakespeare s tragedy, Othello. According to DSM 5, persons with antisocial personality disorder exhibit actions that contradict laws, violate the well being of others, and lack remorse. Additionally, persons with antisocial personality disorder are deceitful, impulsive, irritable, aggressive, reckless, and irresponsible (American Psychiatric Association). Throughout the play, Iago continuously exhibits many of these characteristics. Therefore, Iago is being diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder because he manipulates others to obtain the things he wants and he provokes actions of violence that disregard other s well being. Iago frequently uses deceitful and manipulative actions to achieve his personal desires, leading to the diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder. In Shakespeare s Othello, Iago s manipulative personality is displayed in his plot to get Cassio, Othello s lieutenant, fired. Iago pressures Cassio to have a drink and Cassio gives in, resulting in Cassio becoming drunk. Iago fooled Montano, the governor of Cyprus, into believing that Iago is an alcoholic. It differs from the small intestine in its greater caliber, its more fixed position, its sacculated form, and in possessing certain appendages to its external coat, the appendices epiploicae. Further, its longitudinal muscular fibers do not form a continuous layer around the gut, but are arranged in three longitudinal bands. The large intestine is divided into the cecum, colon, rectum, and anal canal (Henry Gray 2004). I The Cecum: It is attached to the ileum and extends approximately two and one half inches below it. The cecum in an adult usually is adherent to the posterior wall of the peritoneal cavity and has a serosal covering on its anterior wall only. The cecum forms a blind pouch from which the appendix projects (Henry Gray 2004). Its size is variously estimated by different authors, but on an average it may be said to be 6.25 cm in length and 7.5 cm in width. It rests on the iliacus psoas major muscles, usually in contact with the anterior abdominal wall. (Henry Gray , 2004). II The colon: The colon functions as a reservoir moving its contents caudally toward the anal canal. It is divided into four parts: the ascending colon, the transverse colon, the descending colon, and the sigmoid colon ( Fenoglio et al,1999).  Ascending colon: It is approximately six inches long and extends upward from the ileo cecal valve to the hepatic ...
