Adaptive Leadership In The African Methodist Episcopal
Church
INTRODUCTION
This Chapter is more specific about the importance of developing personal adaptive
leadership practices. Learning to understand your internal and external personality and
leadership traits will go a long way in terms of foster creativity, boldness and a clearer
understanding of the insides and out of your own system.
SEE YOURSELF AS THE SYSTEM
In Chapter 13, the authors confer that the in order to understand the leadership traits you
possess you have to see yourself as the system, you have to learn the many facets of
who you are and the environment that created your logic and behavior . Once you have
accomplished this feat, you will have a better ability to properly assess whether or not
your skill set will positively or negatively impact the success of your organization s. I
think this is very important for church leaders especially Pastors. Quite often in the
African Methodist Episcopal Church, we find that many pastors are ill equipped to serve
in a leadership capacity. Why? Well because quite frankly not every pastor possesses
the same exact skill sets. Some of these skills can be taught and duplicated while others
cannot. Senior Church leadership should look to individually match up and assess each
church and their needs with the right leader and system. Pastors would be best served in
keeping their eyes on the ball while developing a fuller understanding of their own skill
sets and abilities and in that same vein also their own limitations.
Mesoamerica Agriculture Spread
Agriculture arose in Mesoamerica and China. It takes a longer time for agriculture to
supplant hunter gatherer societies, because of the environmental conditions, such as soil,
and lack of domesticated animals. Axis orientation indicated that it is faster for food,
goods and possible technologies from east to west than from north to south. For example,
from southeast Asiato west Europe and Egypt and to east Indus Valley. It mainly becomes
areas with the same latitude share similar climate and environment. Data proves that
innovations of agriculturespread east and west earlier than north and south. However,
Latitude is not always necessary. For example, In China, despite the climate difference
between the North and South, Agriculture spread... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Also, if the soil between two regions cannot support agriculture, the diffusion will never
happen, such as the spread from the American Southwest to American Southeast.
Diamond argues that the ideas like writing also tends to travel east and west than they
travel south to north because technology always follows after the trade of agriculture. For
example, the Mesopotamia s writing diffused to Rome and India, and never to the Andes.
While diffusion occurs between societies, the bad news is the spread of disease.
Despite the exchange of germs and viruses causes many deaths and devastating
disasters, it also helps to strengthen and benefit some barrier agriculture societies, due to
the idea of the Natural Selection. The diffusion of disease gradually eliminates humans
with weak immune systems, and build up strong immune systems to survive from some
deadly diseases such as smallpox. Even though most of it dies, who survives will pass
immunity to their offspring. On the other hand, some of the non agriculture socialites get
wiped out by the epidemic of unfamiliar disease. Crowd diseases, like measles, can only
survive in a large size of the population. Therefore, when a large community interacts
with the small
Epicurus s Theodicy Of St. Irenaeus
Evil is a concept that humans have developed to explain suffering and disaster. It is
seen as the cause of suffering, Religious perspectives would argue that it is contrary to
the will of their omnipotent being or predestination. The two types of evil are natural
evil, evil not caused by humans such as tsunamis, and moral evil, evil caused by human
such as rape and murder. However, this presents the problem of evil, presented by
Epicurus; Is Godwilling to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he
able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence
cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? (Epicurus, BC 341
270) This proved the inconsistent triad. If God is benevolent,... Show more content on

As Irenaeus lived from 130 202 AD, his theodicy was relatively undeveloped and
reflective of that time. Therefore, John Hick, 1922 2012 developed the theodicy to a
standard where it became one of the best known theodicies in philosophy. This
theodicy believes humans are made in the image of God, and must strive to achieve
his likeness through religious development. Image of God means humans are created
with intelligence and a moral element. As God is seen to be perfect, achieving his
likeness is to attain perfection. Humans were created spiritually immature , as well as
the angels that fell from heaven. However, nobody is forced into becoming the image
of God, as he granted mankind free will, meaning they truly know him. To make the
choice to become like God much more valuable, God created an epistemic distance .
This is the distance between God and the creation of mankind, leaving his existence
unsure. If humans knew there was a God, their moral actions and decision to love him
would not truly be free choice. The Irenaean theodicy accounts for the existence of evil
by saying that natural and moral evil assist humans by soul making , a process that
encourages virtues. Virtues that are hard earned are more valuable than virtues that are
intrinsically present. Evil is a definite phenomenon, not an absence, and without evil,
there can be no good. This theodicy proposes that all humans eventually reach Heaven,
contrary to traditional Christian
Christianity In Beowulf
The story of Beowulf was written during a period of transition. It was almost as if the
author was putting out the old and bringing in the new. The old would be the pagan
belief system while the new would be Christianity. From the beginning of the poemit
appears that the author is deeply in Christian traditions and values as he immediately
references the Old Testament at the beginning of the poem and repeatedly throughout.
However despite this frequent reference of Christianity, much of what is discussed goes
against Christianity and actually supports pagan beliefs. Although it appears that the
pagan element is more prevalent it actually is not. The why it is important is because the
author focuses the readers attention on how people... Show more content on

The first monster Beowulf fights in the story (Grendel) is the kin of Cain. Cain is a
man in a story in the bible that can be found in (Genesis 4). In the story Cain and his
brother Abel give offerings to the lord. One day when Cain and Abel were delivering
their offerings, the lord was more satisfied with Abeles work over Cain s. This
decision by the lord made Cain upset and that triggered into a frenzy that resulted in
the murder of his brother Abel. The lord tells Cain now you are cursed from the
ground which has opened its mouth to receive your brother s blood from your hand.
When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be
a vagrant and wanders on earth (genesis 4:12). The lord then puts a mark on Cain that
prevents him from being slayed. As mentioned in the poem, Grendel is said to have
the same blood as the killer Cain. Grendel favors Cain in many ways, as mentioned
when Cain was cursed the lord told him he would be a vagrant and wanderer on earth
(Genesis 4:12). In the poem Grendel is just like Cain, a wanderer and vagrant, exiled
and not accepted by anyone around him. I think the author does that to make the reader
almost feel bad for Grendel in a sort of way because he is not accepted. In the poem it is
mentioned that Grendel has circled sounds to harp, prowled the marshes, moors, and ice
streams, forests, and fens. He found his home with misshapen monsters
Gender Stereotypes In The Gutting Of Couffignal
Carving Out Gender Stereotypes in The Gutting of Couffignal The Gutting of Couffignal
is a detective fiction short story written by Dashiell Hammett that focuses on the mystery
surrounding the attack on the town of Couffignal by an unknown gang, and more
specifically, the robberies and murders that ensue. Hammett s story is classified as hard
boiled fiction, which Encyclopaedia Britannica defines as a tough, unsentimental style of
American crime writing (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica). Due to its hard
boiled nature, The Gutting of Couffignal mainly focuses on the issue of large scale crime
in the city. However, throughout the story, Hammett uses gender stereotyping of both the
protagonist and the antagonist by the readers... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike the Continental Op, Princess Zhukovski allows some of her most significant
actions to be ruled by her own gender stereotyping. To begin with, the princess is taken
by surprise when the Op announces his suspicions of her. Her reaction proves that she
does not believe he would come to those conclusions, not only because she is of royal
birth but also because she is a woman. Once the princess realizes she is found out,
Zhukovski attempts to gain sympathy from the Continental Op by expressing the
woes of her troublesome past life. She laments, There was no place for us in world.
Outcasts easily become outlaws (Hammett 250). Zhukovski hopes that her sob story
will touch the heart of the Continental Op and that her portrayal of the damsel in
distress will drive the point home, but the Continental Op is having none of it.
Growing in desperation, the princess plays her last card by seductively offering herself
to him, and it appears it is a hand she has played before. Zhukovski expects even the
strongest willed men to bend before her at the promise of a sexual favor. At the
conclusion of the story, the princess employs both her wealth and feminine wiles to save
her own skin, bribing Flippo to kill the Continental Op for her. Hammett illustrates her
tactics when he writes She was singing, chanting, crooning Italian syllables into his round
face (252). Although Zhukovski successfully manipulates Flippo, it ultimately does her

The History of the Term Academy Explained in
“Academies...
The article Academies of Art; Past and Present by Nikolaus (1973) encompasses the
history of academies in general. Beginning from the Plato s time, the term academy has
changed its connotations. The writing style is eloquent, yet covers the developments on
the topic in every era. The writer used the article as a prologue for the reader to
understand the term academyin order to make sense of the forthcoming chapters of the
book. As the term had varied meanings, its reference in each century has different
meanings and background. This summary consists of the description of the article,
comments and discussion on the writing style and author s arguments in the article.

Meanwhile, Renaissance and Antiquity became a synonym of university, which was
used alternatively as its Latin translation academy . As Renaissance was over and was
taken over by Mannerism in art, academies became more loose and informal and grew
in number in Italy. Since 1540 even the associations liked to call themselves academies,
which further made the understanding of its connotation complex. In Rome the
academy found by Queen Christina changed the notion further as it became center of
activities like reading and criticizing poetry, literature, performing drama and comedy
plays. The author focused the meanings of academy getting broader. Feastings
organized by peasants, lecturing, discussions and research by scholars were added
aims to the academies in Italy. However the term was never used for the entire
university or a school. In schools academies were referred as groups of students tutored
privately by some noblemen. This spread in the use of academies affected the art
abundantly after the Mannerism took over. Artists started to specialize in various genre
of art i.e. still life, folk life, water color etc. in contrast with Renaissance academies the
Mannerism academies were organized, with elaborated rules.
The history of the term academy is important, as the writer emphasized, in order to
Effects Of Long Term Incarceration On Prisoners
General area of investigation The topic I am exploring is the effects of long term
incarceration on prisoner s mental and psychological state. Many individuals believe that
long term incarceration and the conditions of prisons have negatively affected inmates
psychologically and mentally. It has been discovered that post traumatic stress disorders
and anxiety is shared between those who have been in prisonfor a long period or those
who are adapted to prison life. (Garcia) Incarceration was created to help the prisoners
reimburse themselves and learn from their mistake, instead incarceration has the power to
corrupt prisoners mentally and can follow the individuals after being released preventing
them to live a normal steady life.
The effects of long term incarceration on prisoners can be viewed as ironic, which is
what attracted me to this topic. Irony is defined as a state of events that appear different
to what one expects, which illustrates the effects of long term incarceration. From doing
this project, I hope to be more knowledgeable regarding the issues surrounding the
effects of long term incarceration concerning prisoners who have been released. This
topic fits in with the course theme, as it views the roles incarcerations plays in our
society and its objective.
Primary Research Question
Does long term incarceration affect a prisoners psychological and mental state after
being released out of prison or reimburse yourself?

Ukraine And The Russian Ukrainian Conflict
The breadbasket of Eastern Europe is having a problem with militants who have killed
and have tortured hundreds of people in the name of freedom. The militants, Pro Russian
rebels native to Ukraine, believe that their actions against the government are just. Those
who believe that the Pro Russian Ukrainian rebels are fighting against a corrupt,
ultranationalist government are right. The Ukrainian citizens need to understand,
however, that the government of Ukraine is the lesser of two evils; the rebels have
committed many more heinous crimes than the government has. The rebels are also
against policies that can benefit all of Europe and Ukraine. Currently, the Ukrainian
people seek to have a stable nation with a self sufficient government... Show more content

Unlike the rest of Ukraine, Eastern Ukrainians have received more of a cultural and
linguistic influence from Russia. The Ukrainian people are descended from the nomadic,
free Cossacks. The Cossacks neither loved the tsar not the [Polish] lord and were a
people totally separate from the Russians and Polish (Magosci 19). The roots of Russia
and Ukraine reveal that the name Russia is derived from the word Kievian Rus. The
Kievian Rus were Ukrainian people who had established Kiev, the capital of the ancient
Russian state (ExpatRu). The name Russia was eventually adopted by Peter the Great
many years later. The Russian speaking Ukrainians have been influenced a lot by Russian
culture; they have adopted the language due to the constant transfer of power between
Russia (including the USSR) and other countries. Due to the lack of this knowledge, the
rebels have successfully manipulated the minds of the Russian speaking citizens into
thinking they are ethnic Russians. The support the rebels show toward Russia has given
them protection; Russia already seeks to expand its territory, so they completely support
anything the rebels do. Historically, Ukrainians and many western Russians are
Ukrainian; the arrogance the rebels have
My Experience At The Fire Department Of New York Essay
The single greatest event that to this point that has shaped my life is clearly

it changed me as a person. I worked twenty years for the Fire Department of New York,
I cannot say I got there by my intelligence or physical prowess it was dumb luck on a
civil service exam. My retirement was very simple first when I was a teenager my
family summered in Wells Beach I ha d gotten a summer job at the local beach market
known as Ben s Market I worked there four summers. My dream was when I would
retire I would buy the market from Ben. In the 1993 Ben got a divorce from his wife
three years later the market was in trouble with the bank and it went into foreclosure.
Again as dumb luck would have it my father told me about this and I bid on the proper
at auction and somehow won the bid. This is now 1995 more than several years
before I had planned on retiring; however one of the perks of being a firefighter is that
we only work 96 days a year. Or another way of looking at it is I worked 8 days a
month. So to work the market for three months during the summer I would have to
find swaps for 24 days. So for the last five years of working at the firehouse I would
swap out shirts during the fall and winter to cover my time. The next part of my
retirement plan was that I would work summers and my wife and I would travel the rest
of the time. Secretly, I wanted to talk my wife into sell the home we have in

The Decline Of Newspaper Is Bad For The Us Analysis
In the text The Decline of Newspapers Is Bad for the US the author Laura Finley tells
how the internet is taking the place for newspapers. Ms. Finley states facts of how people
would rather use the internet, most people think that the internet is easier and quicker
than getting a newspaper. Finley list the newspapers that had to file bankruptcy and
suffered from the decline in newspaper. The internetis taking over the news world.
One central idea in this text was the decline in the number of people who read the
newspaper. Finley states The biggest decline occurred between October 2008 and March
2009, when the average sales declined 7.1 percent from the same time period a year
earlier. This statement shows how the numbers declined. Most people that are using the
internet to get news do not understand how most of the information is not based on facts
like the newspapers are. Newspaper base their information on the important and historical
stuff that happens in the world, but the internet base their information on entertainment
that attracts more teenage views. Most journalist try to attract the views of teenagers, but
newspapers try not to focus on entertainment as much as the internet. ... Show more

Some people think that we should cut out newspapers completely, but as people have
stated that not everyone has access to the internet. This statement The digital divide is
very real, as many studies have been confirmed people of color and people of lower
socioeconomics classes use the internet with less frequency. Shows that without
newspaper these people would have no way to read about the news and events going
on around them. Some people can t afford the internet so they would be without news
also. So the idea of doing away with newspaper completely is crazy. If we do away with
newspaper that would leave a lot of people in the dark about news

The path of gasoline through the materials economy must be changed, because if it is
not, than the environment would greatly suffer. Gasoline is created by the process of
distillation, by separating the volatile, which is the more valuable parts of crude
petroleum. This was changed and was later processed, to raise the yield of gasoline
from crude oil, and to split large molecules into smaller ones by the processes called
cracking. Thermal cracking was the act of employing heat and high pressures. This
was introduced in 1913. However, in 1927 this process was replaced with catalytic
cracking, which was the addition of catalysts that facilitate chemical reactions. This
produced more gasoline in the end. The gasoline that is used in cars, buses and trucks

Then, at a refinery, crude oil undergoes several processes that change it into many
different useful products (including fuels, fertilizers, plastics, and paving materials).
Overall, the oil goes through three processes inside a refinery Distillation, Conversion,

chemicals. These unwanted chemicals are released into our atmosphere, which is

Disadvantages Of Separate Legal Entity
Introduction
During this 21st century, we find that almost every nation has companies set up and
these institutions play a major role in the nation s economy. We can find that new
companies are being incorporated almost in a daily basis under the Companies
Commission of Malaysia, in accordance with Companies Act 1965(The Act). However,
we realised that the concept of separate legal entity derived its mere foundation from
Salamon v. Salamon Co Ltd which dates back to several centuries.
Characteristics of Separate Legal Entity
Salamon v. Salamon Co. Ltd has a significance principle that has been recognised
universally. Refer to s16(5) in The Act, once company is registered, the new company is
a juristic person that separate from its members. Likewise, company has the full

Disadvantages of Separate Legal Entity Although doctrine of separate legal entity has
the greatest importance in company law, it contains weaknesses that could be arguable.
Professor Kahn Freund described the doctrine as calamitous because it arise many
issues, such as How is it possible to check the one man company and other abuse of

Due to limited liability, company creditors interests are not protected . Creditors need to
bear the risks inherent when dealing with limited company. Shareholders are discouraged
from monitoring and controlling the business due to the benefits of limited liability.
Furthermore, the principle of separate legal entity provides an ideal vehicle of fraud . $2

Rough Justice Summary
The book Rough Justice clearly explains the struggle between power and justice in the
realms of international law. The international criminal court was established on the
principle that all the perpetrators of crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocides
should be subjected to investigations irrespective of ethnicity, nationality or political
affiliation. The ICC was also expected to operate fairly in an international legal and
political system. The international court is also required to operate in a straightforward
manner without portraying any favoritism. The states were also required to avoid the
actions of ICC if they wished by not ratifying the Rome Statute: thus, voluntarism
remains an important principle of the international law.... Show more content on

Bosco (2014) makes such conclusion because Ocampo expressed some independence
when he declared a warranty of arrest on the president of Sudan, Al Bashir. The view
that the prosecutor is strategic is very much debatable because in the book there in no
explanation on why the prosecutor is not captured. The first prosecutor was fully
captured, and his authority was only limited to the lesser states such as Sudan and
Congo. Ocampo was not capable of investigating and prosecuting the United States for
killings in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He opted to carry out investigations and subsequent
prosecution in countries such as Sudan, Kenya, and Congo. The increased focus on
African nations which are perceived as weak has made the African Union to raise alarms
sometimes threatening to withdraw from the Rome Statute. The second prosecutor,
Bensouda portrays a captured behavior because she is yet to initiate a successful
investigation. The office of the prosecutor in the ICC is overpowered by the most
powerful nations, therefore, hindering any efforts to investigate such
My Struggles With Anti-Intellectualism
Anti Intellectualism According to the American Heritage Dictionary, anti intellectualism

the second article I found on the UNA library page Academic Search Complete called
Student Anti Intellectualism and College Major by Antonio Laverghetta. Both talk about
how college majors or fields are related to the levels of anti intellectualism. I would like
to explain and compare both articles starting with Paul Stoller s.
Paul Stoller s article talks about how he felt about anti intellectualism from people who
commented on a blog post he made on the Huffington Post. He talks about how some of
the comments left were people who opposed intellectualism. He says how some of the
commentators thought critical thinking was a waste of time and subjects such as
philosophy, art or anthropology are as well (Stoller). He talks about how he grew up in a

Translation is the art of failure by Umberto Eco, there were countless controversies over
the translation of written works over centuries, from personal writings to literature.
Understandably, there are no exceptions for the case of bibletranslation. The history of
bible translation began in the 5th century BCE in Palestine, from Hebrew to Aramaic.
There are many factors that affect the content and structure of the bible when it is
translated. One factor is emotional attachment to already familiar version. Since the
group of people revising the bible are Christians themselves, they must have studied an
already existing version for their whole life. This is impossible to ignore and it appears
intactly on their work, like King James Version (KJV) and Revised Korean Version

structure of language is different from culture to culture and the meaning it connotes is...

The Terms Of A Contract
The terms of a contract refer to the obligations of the parties entering into the contract.
These terms are the contents of the contract, which determine the parties rights and
obligations. Consequently, the law classifies the terms in two ways. Firstly, the law can
look at the terms according to the consequences of breach involving the nature of each
term as a condition, warranty or innominate. Secondly, they may investigate the method
through which the terms got into the contract, explicitly or implicitly. Courts have the
option to examine these two methods to reach an understanding of the obligations of
each party in the contract breached by one party. In reference to the first method, this
essay will focus on the ability of implicit terms to enter into a contract. An implicit term
is not expressly agreed to by the parties, but nevertheless are either read into the
contract or arise from other sources of law. To clarify, parties may not have expressly
included the term due to forgetfulness, previous contract with the party or because it
may have been obvious due to the parties presence in the same trade. If the parties do not
include a term, the court can imply a term for business efficacy. This is done in order to
make a contract work. Accordingly, the court aims to make valid the intention of the
parties. The Moorcock (1889) involved a term not included, but of such an obvious nature
that the parties did not think to include it in the contractual terms. Subsequently,

automobiles. He suggests that when consumers are not familiar with the product s
intrinsic cues, they tend to utilize COO cue as a halo from which consumers can infer
product attributes and quality in order to simplify their decision making process. It can
indirectly affect consumers product/brand attitudes through their inferential ... Show more

The more additional product information that are presented, the weaker COO effects on
consumers product evaluations. If consumers have a source country of the product as a
single cue, all perceptions and characteristics about the product can only be inferred on
the basis of COO image (Han, 1989). However, if COO together with other extrinsic
cues such as price, brand are presented, a product s COO effect on consumer purchasing
decisions will be diluted since more marketing stimulus as reliable information input are
conducted into consumers information processing (Elliot and Cameron, 1994; Jaffe
Nebenzahl, 2001; Kalicharan, 2014). The COO may be an important element in the
perceptions consumers have of products and services especially where little other
information is known.
2.4.3 Consumer
1) Product knowledge
Maheswaran (1994) found that the case of the existence of unambiguous information for
a specific product (in his case: computers), experienced consumers make their choices
based on the evaluation of specific product attributes; whereas less experienced
consumers rely on the country of origin. On the other hand, when information is lacking
or is ambiguous, both types of consumers rely on country of origin to infer the quality of
the product.

Integrated Services Digital Network ( Isdn )
Before we get into the discussion, let s briefly introduce some of the technologies used in
WANs and the different characteristics of each one:
Point to point links
A so called point to point link (Fig. 2.0) provides a pre established WAN
communication path from the user s location trough a telephone company s network,
also known as the carrier. For this kind of line, the carrier dedicates pairs of wire and
hardware to that line only. This kind of circuits are priced depending on bandwidth
needed and distance to be covered.
(Figure 2.0 Point to point link)
Circuit Switching
Work like a normal telephone line. Data connections can be started when needed and
terminated when the communication is over. An example of circuit switching is called
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN). When a router receives data that s intended
to go to a specific remote site, the switched circuit (Fig. 2.1) is initiated with a specific
circuit number for that particular network. As soon the two networks that are trying to
connect get the authentication done, it is possible to transfer data. When data
transmission is over, the communication gets terminated.
(Figure 2.1 Switched Circuit)
Packet Switching
Here users share common carrier resources (Fig. 2.2). This is a more cost effective
solution compared for example to point to point lines. The carrier can make more
efficient use of its infrastructure. Connections into the carrier s network are shared
between many customers and
The Themes Of The Film Padmavati
The film Padmavati shows a different part of the diversity of Indian culture. In addition,
the trailer gives the viewers some perspective of the story between the three main
characters who play an integral part in the movie. Moreover, it can also be interpreted
that the story will involve some vigorous fight scenes between the protagonist and the
antagonist, but also glimpses of the heroine. Furthermore, I think in the quick glimpse of
the movie that is given to the viewers in the trailer helps to determine the certain themes
of what the movie would be about: such as honour of the Rajputs but also the portrayal
of women when their husbands go to war. The interpretation of the movie seems to have
a very ominous vibe, but also a vibe of creativity that goes without question in terms of
the costumes, scenery, etc. The controversy surrounding this movie is something that
should be avoided because India should not be focusing on the elements that have gone
on to make a specific movie, whether it is fact or fiction. Whereas, India should be
focusing on matters at hand that are at a current debacle like: gender inequalities (female
infanticide, sexual harassment towards women), poverty, famine, corrupt politics, etc.
Therefore, this blogwill discuss the controversy of the filmPadmavati but also the
retrospect between the controversy and the aspect of illusion suggested by Sigmund
Freud and the fear of minorities suggested by Arjun Appadurai.
The film Padmavati is a film
Compare And Contrast Mexica And Aztecs
Aztec
While the Aztecs were first traveling to the Valley of Mexico, they were influenced by
the people around them. They learned many skills that strengthened their abilities as
warriors. Later in 1519, while the Aztecs Empire was still, growing, Spaniards were
eager to claim land for Spain in a hunt for gold and other riches. The Mexica claimed
that their homeland was a island in a lake called Aztland, meaning the place of the white
heron. The Toltecs had been the last of the powerful Mesoamericans before rise of the
Aztecs. Then, the battles began and while on the battlefield, the Aztecs first made sure
they kept control over the cities that the Tepanecs ruled. The Aztecforces conquered
lands to the east, all the way to the Gulf ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a group, the pipiltin had the largest homes, ate the best food and wore the finest
cloths. Historians think that as many as 90% of the Aztec population were macehualtin.
Some markets became known for selling a particular item, such as wood products or
cloth, and anyone could sell goods they made or crops they raised at a local market. In
their guest for more tribute, the tlatoani of the Aztecs relied on the skill of their warriors.
In the Aztecs, the children s life was surrounded by work and chores, but the children
thankfully got a well education. They had very high religious instructions and at time the
children had to go without food and cut themselves to offer their blood to the gods.
Most historians agree that human sacrifice was part of Aztec religion. Humans had
sacrificed each other in Mesoamerica for thousands of years before the Mexica reached
the Valley of Mexico. Many physicians were skilled herbalists who specialized in the
use of plant life to treat illness. The Aztecs believed the universe had three distinct
parts. At the top was heaven, which had up to thirteen different layers and was the
home of the gods. In daily life, the Aztecs worshipped a number of gods and goddesses
as many as two hundred. The Aztecs valued jewelry of gold and silver, and art in
Why Black Lives Should Matter To All Lgbt People Analysis
Esperanza Garcia and Ty Brooks do a great job with their piece Why Black Lives
Should Matter to All LGBT People. The piece is essentially a great reminder to the
binary (particularly it seems White binary folk) of the queer community, where they feel
off the equity bandwagon. Amongst other things, there is focus on criticizing the LG part
of the LGBTQ+ acronym that the systematic brutalization of trans women of color, fails
to be incorporate into the overall equality agenda.
Though this article is not anything new, it is one of a select few to be published in a
mainstream Queer magazine, typically targeted towards the LGB in the acronym. In
classic Advocate style the writing appeals to the White audience; the language is
accessible and decently highlights the key points with a moral pizzazz. Let s be honest,
there are people such as Janet Mock and Laverne Cox, who are identifying the same
things but having been published in this particular article, there is a greater chance at
reaching the targeted audience. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think they do wonderful job at highlighting how grand the stigma is, not only are
heteros bashing queers, queers are even bashing other queers because they consciously
or unconsciously still hold some prejudice due to racial socialization towards Black
people. As the author s point out, at the end of the day, queers are still queers and the
same group oppresses them all, therefore solidarity is
Tom Robinson, Emmett Till, And The Scottsboro Boys
Superior White Forces
Although many believe that racism and segregation have declined over the years, The
Washington Post notes, in a 2016 analysis, that black Americans are 2.5 times as likely
as white Americans to be shot and killed by police officers (Lowery). In the 1930s and
1950s, Tom Robinson, Emmett Till, and the nine Scottsboro boyswere sentenced to death
after facing an all white jury for a crime they did not commit. In 1931, nine, young,
unemployed, black men were falsely accused of raping two white women, Ruby Bates
and Victoria Price. Their sentence to death after facing an all white jury sparked
rallies and parades, which successfully changed the unfair verdict of their trial.
Similarly, a fourteen year old boy named Emmett Till was unjustly murdered after
allegedly whistling at a white store owner, Carolyn Bryant. A few days later, he was
found in a nearby river, and his mother arranged for a public funeral to expose the
racial prejudice her son faced in Mississippi. The perpetrators were acquitted of all
charges when tried in front of an all white jury. In the Scottsboro incident, the Murder of
Emmett Till, and To Kill a Mockingbird, innocent men were victims of the society s
racial prejudice and convicted of crimes they did not commit.
The Scottsboro Trials exposed the racism of a courtroom when nine, young, innocent men
were falsely accused of raping two white women and unjustly sentenced to death. The
teenagers were sentenced to death after facing an
The Shankaracharya Sanctuary
The Shankaracharya Sanctuary otherwise called the Jyesteshwara sanctuary or Pas Pahar
by Buddhists, is arranged in the Zabarwan Mountain in Srinagar, Kashmir.
It is committed to Master Shiva.
The sanctuary is on the summit of the same name at a stature of 1,000 feet (300 m) over
the plain and sits above the city of Srinagar.
History and advancement
The sanctuary goes once again to 200 BC, despite the fact that the present structure likely
goes over to the ninth century Advertisement.
It was gone to by Adi Shankara and has after been connected with him; this is the means
by which the hill/temple got the name Shankaracharya.
It is additionally viewed as holy by Buddhists.
The Shiv ling was put inside by Adi Shankaracharya on his visit to Kashmir; it turned into
a Hindu sanctuary.
As stated by Pandit Anand Koul (1924) the sanctuary was initially assembled by
Sandiman who, as stated by Koul, ruled in Kashmir from 2629 to 2564 BC.
It was repaired by Lord Gopaditya (426 365 BC) and by Ruler Lalitaditya (697 734).2 Its
top was additionally repaired by Zain ul Abidin after a seismic tremor; later, its arch was
repaired by Sheik Ghulam Mohiuddin, a Sikh senator (1841 1846).
The most punctual chronicled reference to the mound originates from Kalhana. He called
the mountain Gopadri. Kalhana additionally says that Lord Gopaditya allowed the area
at the foot of the rise to the Brahmins that had hailed from the Araya versh.
The area stipend was called GOPA

gender changes in the sun also rises Essay
The Sun Also Rises, by Ernest Hemingway is a story of being apart of
the Lost Generation in the 1920 s. The Great War had changed the ideas
of morality, faith and justice and many people began to feel lost. Their
traditional values were changed and the morals practically gone. The Lost
Generation rejected Victorian ideologies about gender, sex and identity.
The main characters, Brett and Jake, redefine masculinity and femininity,
drifting away from the Victorian ideals of sexuality and identity.
Lady Brett Ashley is a perfect example of how women in the Lost
Generation changed. Brett strives for an individuality that Victorian women
would not look for. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

something like what Count Mippipopolous, a very sane and stable
man, could have provided her with.
Jake Barnes is an example of loss. Not only does he lose his morals
and traditions in the era following the Great War, but he also loses his
masculinity in a tragic war accident that ended in impotence. This accident drastically
changes Jake s views on masculinity. Traditional ideas of what it
means to be a man have been changed by the war. Jake tries to define
himself as a man even as a war related genital wound denies him the most
basic assertion of manhood, sexual gratification. (Fulton) The handicap
seems to take away from his authority and his idea of male invincibility. As
a result of his impotence, a new man arises. This man sits back and
suppresses his sexual desires and quietly endures the hard times of life,
much like a Victorian woman would.
Jake can sense the transition of gender roles and is not happy or
secure with it at all. Jake objects... to femininity express through the wrong
body. (Elliott, 80) He fears that his handicap makes him feminine, thus, he
looks to other things to keep from thinking about it. He goes out drinking
with his friends to avoid thinking about all of his problems and his fears.

Diction And Imagery In Truman Capote s In Cold Blood
New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, Sydney, even Rio de janeiro are exciting
extravagant populous cities across the world filled with adventure and endless
opportunity. Holcomb, Kansas is rightfully not mentioned in this group. This town east
of the Colorado border is a stranger to even the Santa Fe Railroad that divides the
community in half. Truman Capoteexpresses the lonesome area that is Holcomb in the
introduction of In Cold Blood through diction and imagery. The diction Capote uses is
vapid yet magnetic. He uses words such as haphazard hamlet and unnamed, unshaded,
unpaved as attention grabbers. Capote entangles long, slow sentences with with alluring
adjectives to keep the reader interested while still expressing the idea
Critical Analysis of The Veldt
The Veldt by Ray Bradbury deals with some of the same fundamental problems that
we are now encountering in this modern day and age, such as the breakdown of family
relationships due to technology. Ray Bradbury is an American writer who lived from
1920 to 2012 (Paradowski). Written in 1950, The Veldt is even more relevant to today
than it was then. The fundamental issue, as Marcelene Cox said, Parents are often so
busy with the physical rearing of children that they miss the glory of parenthood, just as
the grandeur of the trees is lost when raking leaves. Technology creating dysfunctional
families is an ever increasing problem. In the story, the Hadley family lives in a house
that is entirely composed of machines. A major... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The lions stood looking at George and Lydia Hadley with terrible green yellow eyes.
Watch out! screamed Lydia. The lions came running at them. Lydia bolted and ran.
Instinctively, George sprang after her. Outside, in the hall, with the door slammed he
was laughing and she was crying, and they both stood appalled at the other s reaction.
(Bradbury). George s musings about his childrens view of death was actually a
foreshadowing of his own death, They were awfully young, Wendy and Peter, for death
thoughts. Or, no, you were never too young, really. Long before you knew what death
was you were wishing it on someone else. When you were two years old you were
shooting people with cap pistols. But this the long, hot African veldt the awful death in
the jaws of a lion. And repeated again and again. (Bradbury). Finally, the childrens
rebellion, which resulted in their parents death, was foreshadowed when Peter threatened
his own father to never turn off the technology. I wouldn t want the nursery locked up,
said Peter coldly. Ever. Matter of fact, we re thinking of turning the whole house off for
about a month.... Will you shut off the house sometime soon? We re considering it. I don
t think you d better consider it any more, Father. (Bradbury). Throughout the story, these
instances of foreshadowing of death

  • 2. Adaptive Leadership In The African Methodist Episcopal Church INTRODUCTION This Chapter is more specific about the importance of developing personal adaptive leadership practices. Learning to understand your internal and external personality and leadership traits will go a long way in terms of foster creativity, boldness and a clearer understanding of the insides and out of your own system. SEE YOURSELF AS THE SYSTEM In Chapter 13, the authors confer that the in order to understand the leadership traits you possess you have to see yourself as the system, you have to learn the many facets of who you are and the environment that created your logic and behavior . Once you have accomplished this feat, you will have a better ability to properly assess whether or not your skill set will positively or negatively impact the success of your organization s. I think this is very important for church leaders especially Pastors. Quite often in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, we find that many pastors are ill equipped to serve in a leadership capacity. Why? Well because quite frankly not every pastor possesses the same exact skill sets. Some of these skills can be taught and duplicated while others cannot. Senior Church leadership should look to individually match up and assess each church and their needs with the right leader and system. Pastors would be best served in keeping their eyes on the ball while developing a fuller understanding of their own skill sets and abilities and in that same vein also their own limitations.
  • 3. Mesoamerica Agriculture Spread Agriculture arose in Mesoamerica and China. It takes a longer time for agriculture to supplant hunter gatherer societies, because of the environmental conditions, such as soil, and lack of domesticated animals. Axis orientation indicated that it is faster for food, goods and possible technologies from east to west than from north to south. For example, from southeast Asiato west Europe and Egypt and to east Indus Valley. It mainly becomes areas with the same latitude share similar climate and environment. Data proves that innovations of agriculturespread east and west earlier than north and south. However, Latitude is not always necessary. For example, In China, despite the climate difference between the North and South, Agriculture spread... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, if the soil between two regions cannot support agriculture, the diffusion will never happen, such as the spread from the American Southwest to American Southeast. Diamond argues that the ideas like writing also tends to travel east and west than they travel south to north because technology always follows after the trade of agriculture. For example, the Mesopotamia s writing diffused to Rome and India, and never to the Andes. While diffusion occurs between societies, the bad news is the spread of disease. Despite the exchange of germs and viruses causes many deaths and devastating disasters, it also helps to strengthen and benefit some barrier agriculture societies, due to the idea of the Natural Selection. The diffusion of disease gradually eliminates humans with weak immune systems, and build up strong immune systems to survive from some deadly diseases such as smallpox. Even though most of it dies, who survives will pass immunity to their offspring. On the other hand, some of the non agriculture socialites get wiped out by the epidemic of unfamiliar disease. Crowd diseases, like measles, can only survive in a large size of the population. Therefore, when a large community interacts with the small
  • 4. Epicurus s Theodicy Of St. Irenaeus Evil is a concept that humans have developed to explain suffering and disaster. It is seen as the cause of suffering, Religious perspectives would argue that it is contrary to the will of their omnipotent being or predestination. The two types of evil are natural evil, evil not caused by humans such as tsunamis, and moral evil, evil caused by human such as rape and murder. However, this presents the problem of evil, presented by Epicurus; Is Godwilling to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? (Epicurus, BC 341 270) This proved the inconsistent triad. If God is benevolent,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Irenaeus lived from 130 202 AD, his theodicy was relatively undeveloped and reflective of that time. Therefore, John Hick, 1922 2012 developed the theodicy to a standard where it became one of the best known theodicies in philosophy. This theodicy believes humans are made in the image of God, and must strive to achieve his likeness through religious development. Image of God means humans are created with intelligence and a moral element. As God is seen to be perfect, achieving his likeness is to attain perfection. Humans were created spiritually immature , as well as the angels that fell from heaven. However, nobody is forced into becoming the image of God, as he granted mankind free will, meaning they truly know him. To make the choice to become like God much more valuable, God created an epistemic distance . This is the distance between God and the creation of mankind, leaving his existence unsure. If humans knew there was a God, their moral actions and decision to love him would not truly be free choice. The Irenaean theodicy accounts for the existence of evil by saying that natural and moral evil assist humans by soul making , a process that encourages virtues. Virtues that are hard earned are more valuable than virtues that are intrinsically present. Evil is a definite phenomenon, not an absence, and without evil, there can be no good. This theodicy proposes that all humans eventually reach Heaven, contrary to traditional Christian
  • 5. Christianity In Beowulf The story of Beowulf was written during a period of transition. It was almost as if the author was putting out the old and bringing in the new. The old would be the pagan belief system while the new would be Christianity. From the beginning of the poemit appears that the author is deeply in Christian traditions and values as he immediately references the Old Testament at the beginning of the poem and repeatedly throughout. However despite this frequent reference of Christianity, much of what is discussed goes against Christianity and actually supports pagan beliefs. Although it appears that the pagan element is more prevalent it actually is not. The why it is important is because the author focuses the readers attention on how people... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first monster Beowulf fights in the story (Grendel) is the kin of Cain. Cain is a man in a story in the bible that can be found in (Genesis 4). In the story Cain and his brother Abel give offerings to the lord. One day when Cain and Abel were delivering their offerings, the lord was more satisfied with Abeles work over Cain s. This decision by the lord made Cain upset and that triggered into a frenzy that resulted in the murder of his brother Abel. The lord tells Cain now you are cursed from the ground which has opened its mouth to receive your brother s blood from your hand. When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and wanders on earth (genesis 4:12). The lord then puts a mark on Cain that prevents him from being slayed. As mentioned in the poem, Grendel is said to have the same blood as the killer Cain. Grendel favors Cain in many ways, as mentioned when Cain was cursed the lord told him he would be a vagrant and wanderer on earth (Genesis 4:12). In the poem Grendel is just like Cain, a wanderer and vagrant, exiled and not accepted by anyone around him. I think the author does that to make the reader almost feel bad for Grendel in a sort of way because he is not accepted. In the poem it is mentioned that Grendel has circled sounds to harp, prowled the marshes, moors, and ice streams, forests, and fens. He found his home with misshapen monsters

Gender Stereotypes In The Gutting Of Couffignal Carving Out Gender Stereotypes in The Gutting of Couffignal The Gutting of Couffignal is a detective fiction short story written by Dashiell Hammett that focuses on the mystery surrounding the attack on the town of Couffignal by an unknown gang, and more specifically, the robberies and murders that ensue. Hammett s story is classified as hard boiled fiction, which Encyclopaedia Britannica defines as a tough, unsentimental style of American crime writing (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica). Due to its hard boiled nature, The Gutting of Couffignal mainly focuses on the issue of large scale crime in the city. Unlike the Continental Op, Princess Zhukovski allows some of her most significant actions to be ruled by her own gender stereotyping. To begin with, the princess is taken by surprise when the Op announces his suspicions of her. Her reaction proves that she does not believe he would come to those conclusions, not only because she is of royal birth but also because she is a woman. Once the princess realizes she is found out, Zhukovski attempts to gain sympathy from the Continental Op by expressing the woes of her troublesome past life. She laments, There was no place for us in world. Outcasts easily become outlaws (Hammett 250). Zhukovski hopes that her sob story will touch the heart of the Continental Op and that her portrayal of the damsel in distress will drive the point home, but the Continental Op is having none of it. Growing in desperation, the princess plays her last card by seductively offering herself to him, and it appears it is a hand she has played before. Zhukovski expects even the strongest willed men to bend before her at the promise of a sexual favor. At the conclusion of the story, the princess employs both her wealth and feminine wiles to save her own skin, bribing Flippo to kill the Continental Op for her. Hammett illustrates her tactics when he writes She was singing, chanting, crooning Italian syllables into his round face (252). Although Zhukovski successfully manipulates Flippo, it ultimately does her no good; once the

Beginning from the Plato s time, the term academy has changed its connotations. The writing style is eloquent, yet covers the developments on the topic in every era. The writer used the article as a prologue for the reader to understand the term academyin order to make sense of the forthcoming chapters of the book. Meanwhile, Renaissance and Antiquity became a synonym of university, which was used alternatively as its Latin translation academy . As Renaissance was over and was taken over by Mannerism in art, academies became more loose and informal and grew in number in Italy. Since 1540 even the associations liked to call themselves academies, which further made the understanding of its connotation complex. In Rome the academy found by Queen Christina changed the notion further as it became center of activities like reading and criticizing poetry, literature, performing drama and comedy plays. The author focused the meanings of academy getting broader. Feastings organized by peasants, lecturing, discussions and research by scholars were added aims to the academies in Italy. However the term was never used for the entire university or a school. In schools academies were referred as groups of students tutored privately by some noblemen. This spread in the use of academies affected the art abundantly after the Mannerism took over. Artists started to specialize in various genre of art i.e. still life, folk life, water color etc. in contrast with Renaissance academies the Mannerism academies were organized, with elaborated rules. The history of the term academy is important, as the writer emphasized, in order to
  • 8. Effects Of Long Term Incarceration On Prisoners General area of investigation The topic I am exploring is the effects of long term incarceration on prisoner s mental and psychological state. Many individuals believe that long term incarceration and the conditions of prisons have negatively affected inmates psychologically and mentally. It has been discovered that post traumatic stress disorders and anxiety is shared between those who have been in prisonfor a long period or those who are adapted to prison life. (Garcia) Incarceration was created to help the prisoners reimburse themselves and learn from their mistake, instead incarceration has the power to corrupt prisoners mentally and can follow the individuals after being released preventing them to live a normal steady life. The effects of long term incarceration on prisoners can be viewed as ironic, which is what attracted me to this topic. Irony is defined as a state of events that appear different to what one expects, which illustrates the effects of long term incarceration. From doing this project, I hope to be more knowledgeable regarding the issues surrounding the effects of long term incarceration concerning prisoners who have been released. This topic fits in with the course theme, as it views the roles incarcerations plays in our society and its objective. Primary Research Question Does long term incarceration affect a prisoners psychological and mental state after being released out of prison or reimburse yourself? Long term incarceration was

The militants, Pro Russian rebels native to Ukraine, believe that their actions against the government are just. Those who believe that the Pro Russian Ukrainian rebels are fighting against a corrupt, ultranationalist government are right. The Ukrainian citizens need to understand, however, that the government of Ukraine is the lesser of two evils; the rebels have committed many more heinous crimes than the government has. The rebels are also against policies that can benefit all of Europe and Ukraine. Currently, the Ukrainian people seek to have a stable nation with a self sufficient government... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the rest of Ukraine, Eastern Ukrainians have received more of a cultural and linguistic influence from Russia. The Ukrainian people are descended from the nomadic, free Cossacks. The Cossacks neither loved the tsar not the [Polish] lord and were a people totally separate from the Russians and Polish (Magosci 19). The roots of Russia and Ukraine reveal that the name Russia is derived from the word Kievian Rus. The Kievian Rus were Ukrainian people who had established Kiev, the capital of the ancient Russian state (ExpatRu). The name Russia was eventually adopted by Peter the Great many years later. The Russian speaking Ukrainians have been influenced a lot by Russian culture; they have adopted the language due to the constant transfer of power between Russia (including the USSR) and other countries. Due to the lack of this knowledge, the rebels have successfully manipulated the minds of the Russian speaking citizens into thinking they are ethnic Russians. The support the rebels show toward Russia has given them protection; Russia already seeks to expand its territory, so they completely support anything the rebels do. Historically, Ukrainians and many western Russians are Ukrainian; the arrogance the rebels have

Not, moment in a given day do not think about that day and how it changed me as a person. I worked twenty years for the Fire Department of New York, I cannot say I got there by my intelligence or physical prowess it was dumb luck on a civil service exam. My retirement was very simple first when I was a teenager my family summered in Wells Beach I ha d gotten a summer job at the local beach market known as Ben s Market I worked there four summers. My dream was when I would retire I would buy the market from Ben. In the 1993 Ben got a divorce from his wife three years later the market was in trouble with the bank and it went into foreclosure. Again as dumb luck would have it my father told me about this and I bid on the proper at auction and somehow won the bid. This is now 1995 more than several years before I had planned on retiring; however one of the perks of being a firefighter is that we only work 96 days a year. Or another way of looking at it is I worked 8 days a month. So to work the market for three months during the summer I would have to find swaps for 24 days. So for the last five years of working at the firehouse I would swap out shirts during the fall and winter to cover my time. The next part of my retirement plan was that I would work summers and my wife and I would travel the rest of the time. Secretly, I wanted to talk my wife into sell the home we have in

Ms. Finley states facts of how people would rather use the internet, most people think that the internet is easier and quicker than getting a newspaper. Finley list the newspapers that had to file bankruptcy and suffered from the decline in newspaper. The internetis taking over the news world. One central idea in this text was the decline in the number of people who read the newspaper. Finley states The biggest decline occurred between October 2008 and March 2009, when the average sales declined 7.1 percent from the same time period a year earlier. This statement shows how the numbers declined. Most people that are using the internet to get news do not understand how most of the information is not based on facts like the newspapers are. • 13. Thermal Fracking Research Paper The path of gasoline through the materials economy must be changed, because if it is not, than the environment would greatly suffer. Gasoline is created by the process of distillation, by separating the volatile, which is the more valuable parts of crude petroleum. This was changed and was later processed, to raise the yield of gasoline from crude oil, and to split large molecules into smaller ones by the processes called cracking. Thermal cracking was the act of employing heat and high pressures. This was introduced in 1913. However, in 1927 this process was replaced with catalytic cracking, which was the addition of catalysts that facilitate chemical reactions. This produced more gasoline in the end. Disadvantages Of Separate Legal Entity Introduction During this 21st century, we find that almost every nation has companies set up and these institutions play a major role in the nation s economy. We can find that new companies are being incorporated almost in a daily basis under the Companies Commission of Malaysia, in accordance with Companies Act 1965(The Act). However, we realised that the concept of separate legal entity derived its mere foundation from Salamon v. Salamon Co Ltd which dates back to several centuries. Characteristics of Separate Legal Entity Salamon v. Salamon Co. Ltd has a significance principle that has been recognised universally. The international criminal court was established on the principle that all the perpetrators of crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocides should be subjected to investigations irrespective of ethnicity, nationality or political affiliation. The ICC was also expected to operate fairly in an international legal and political system. The international court is also required to operate in a straightforward manner without portraying any favoritism. Translating has two meanings; translating from one language to another, and translating others work into one s words. Like the famous quote Translation is the art of failure by Umberto Eco, there were countless controversies over the translation of written works over centuries, from personal writings to literature. Understandably, there are no exceptions for the case of bibletranslation. The history of bible translation began in the 5th century BCE in Palestine, from Hebrew to Aramaic. There are many factors that affect the content and structure of the bible when it is translated. One factor is emotional attachment to already familiar version. Since the group of people revising the bible are Christians themselves, they must have studied an already existing version for their whole life. This is impossible to ignore and it appears intactly on their work, like King James Version (KJV) and Revised Korean Version (RKV). Another factor is the difference in languages. This is important because the structure of language is different from culture to culture and the meaning it connotes is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 19. The Terms Of A Contract The terms of a contract refer to the obligations of the parties entering into the contract. These terms are the contents of the contract, which determine the parties rights and obligations. Consequently, the law classifies the terms in two ways. Firstly, the law can look at the terms according to the consequences of breach involving the nature of each term as a condition, warranty or innominate. Secondly, they may investigate the method through which the terms got into the contract, explicitly or implicitly. Courts have the option to examine these two methods to reach an understanding of the obligations of each party in the contract breached by one party. In reference to the first method, this essay will focus on the ability of implicit terms to enter into a contract. An implicit term is not expressly agreed to by the parties, but nevertheless are either read into the contract or arise from other sources of law. To clarify, parties may not have expressly included the term due to forgetfulness, previous contract with the party or because it may have been obvious due to the parties presence in the same trade. If the parties do not include a term, the court can imply a term for business efficacy. This is done in order to make a contract work. Accordingly, the court aims to make valid the intention of the parties. The Moorcock (1889) involved a term not included, but of such an obvious nature that the parties did not think to include it in the contractual terms. Subsequently,

COO Effect 2.3 Effects of Country of Origin on consumers Several scholars have researched the process of how COO effects impact on consumer s perceptions, product evaluations and purchase intensions. It can be explained by the theory of Halo Effect ; Summary Construct and Combined Halo and Summary Construct . 2.3.1 Halo Effect Model Han (1989) examine the role of COO image in consumer evaluations of televisions and automobiles. The more additional product information that are presented, the weaker COO effects on consumers product evaluations. If consumers have a source country of the product as a single cue, all perceptions and characteristics about the product can only be inferred on the basis of COO image (Han, 1989). However, if COO together with other extrinsic cues such as price, brand are presented, a product s COO effect on consumer purchasing decisions will be diluted since more marketing stimulus as reliable information input are conducted into consumers information processing (Elliot and Cameron, 1994; Jaffe Nebenzahl, 2001; Kalicharan, 2014). The COO may be an important element in the perceptions consumers have of products and services especially where little other information is known. 2.4.3 Consumer 1) Product knowledge Maheswaran (1994) found that the case of the existence of unambiguous information for a specific product (in his case: computers), experienced consumers make their choices based on the evaluation of specific product attributes; whereas less experienced consumers rely on the country of origin. On the other hand, when information is lacking or is ambiguous, both types of consumers rely on country of origin to infer the quality of the product. 2) Involvement a.

Integrated Services Digital Network ( Isdn ) Before we get into the discussion, let s briefly introduce some of the technologies used in WANs and the different characteristics of each one: Point to point links A so called point to point link (Fig. 2.0) provides a pre established WAN communication path from the user s location trough a telephone company s network, also known as the carrier. For this kind of line, the carrier dedicates pairs of wire and hardware to that line only. This kind of circuits are priced depending on bandwidth needed and distance to be covered. (Figure 2.0 Point to point link) Circuit Switching Work like a normal telephone line. Data connections can be started when needed and terminated when the communication is over. An example of circuit switching is called Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN). When a router receives data that s intended to go to a specific remote site, the switched circuit (Fig. 2.1) is initiated with a specific circuit number for that particular network. As soon the two networks that are trying to connect get the authentication done, it is possible to transfer data. When data transmission is over, the communication gets terminated. (Figure 2.1 Switched Circuit) Packet Switching Here users share common carrier resources (Fig. 2.2). This is a more cost effective solution compared for example to point to point lines. The carrier can make more efficient use of its infrastructure. Connections into the carrier s network are shared between many customers and

In addition, the trailer gives the viewers some perspective of the story between the three main characters who play an integral part in the movie. Moreover, it can also be interpreted that the story will involve some vigorous fight scenes between the protagonist and the antagonist, but also glimpses of the heroine. Furthermore, I think in the quick glimpse of the movie that is given to the viewers in the trailer helps to determine the certain themes of what the movie would be about: such as honour of the Rajputs but also the portrayal of women when their husbands go to war. The interpretation of the movie seems to have a very ominous vibe, but also a vibe of creativity that goes without question in terms of the costumes, scenery, etc. The controversy surrounding this movie is something that should be avoided because India should not be focusing on the elements that have gone on to make a specific movie, whether it is fact or fiction. Whereas, India should be focusing on matters at hand that are at a current debacle like: gender inequalities (female infanticide, sexual harassment towards women), poverty, famine, corrupt politics, etc. Therefore, this blogwill discuss the controversy of the filmPadmavati but also the retrospect between the controversy and the aspect of illusion suggested by Sigmund Freud and the fear of minorities suggested by Arjun Appadurai. Their sentence to death after facing an all white jury sparked rallies and parades, which successfully changed the unfair verdict of their trial. Similarly, a fourteen year old boy named Emmett Till was unjustly murdered after allegedly whistling at a white store owner, Carolyn Bryant. A few days later, he was found in a nearby river, and his mother arranged for a public funeral to expose the racial prejudice her son faced in Mississippi. The perpetrators were acquitted of all charges when tried in front of an all white jury. In the Scottsboro incident, the Murder of Emmett Till, and To Kill a Mockingbird, innocent men were victims of the society s racial prejudice and convicted of crimes they did not commit. Lydia bolted and ran. Instinctively, George sprang after her. Outside, in the hall, with the door slammed he was laughing and she was crying, and they both stood appalled at the other s reaction. (Bradbury). George s musings about his childrens view of death was actually a foreshadowing of his own death, They were awfully young, Wendy and Peter, for death thoughts. Or, no, you were never too young, really. Long before you knew what death was you were wishing it on someone else. When you were two years old you were shooting people with cap pistols. But this the long, hot African veldt the awful death in the jaws of a lion. And repeated again and again. (Bradbury). Finally, the childrens rebellion, which resulted in their parents death, was foreshadowed when Peter threatened his own father to never turn off the technology.
