Movie Analysis Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of movie analysis can be both intriguing and challenging. It
demands a deep understanding of cinematic techniques, narrative structures, character
development, thematic exploration, and the ability to critically analyze various aspects of a film.
Firstly, selecting the right movie to analyze is crucial. It should be a film that not only interests
you but also offers ample material for in-depth examination. Next comes the task of dissecting
the movie, scene by scene, to uncover its underlying themes, motifs, and messages. This
involves scrutinizing the plot, character interactions, dialogue, cinematography, sound design,
and editing choices.
Moreover, crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates your interpretation of the film
is essential. This thesis will serve as the guiding principle throughout the essay, shaping the
analysis and arguments presented. Supporting this thesis requires meticulous attention to detail,
as well as the incorporation of evidence from the movie itself, scholarly sources, and critical
analysis.
Organizing the essay effectively is another challenge. Structuring the analysis in a coherent
manner, balancing summary with interpretation, and ensuring a logical flow of ideas can be
daunting. Additionally, maintaining a critical stance without veering into subjective opinion or
plot summary is vital.
Furthermore, addressing counterarguments and potential objections adds complexity to the
writing process. Anticipating differing interpretations of the film and providing a nuanced
response demonstrates depth of analysis and strengthens the overall argument.
Finally, crafting a compelling conclusion that synthesizes the key points of the analysis and
leaves a lasting impression on the reader requires finesse.
In conclusion, writing a high-quality essay on movie analysis demands a combination of critical
thinking, analytical skills, creativity, and effective writing. It is a task that requires dedication,
time, and attention to detail to produce a nuanced and insightful analysis.

Who Is The Protagonist In The Crucible
The Crucible John Proctor in this story is described as a man of his word and for
the most part honest in everything he says or is asked to answer. He also has
problems of his own to, like not being faithful to his wife at times or mostly at all
times do to problems, and also having a secret but not intimate relationship with
Abagail Williams. This is why I strongly feel like he is the protagonists of the story
because of his failure in his relationship, his guilt because of it, and his redemption at
the end of the story. A reason that supports this claim is his secret relationship with
Abagail Williams and how she uses that to cause problems within his relationship.
The other reason that he is the main protagonists is because of his dying... Show more

I have given you my soul; leave me my name . This shows him saying that he
doesn t want to write his name because if was to sign it all he would have is what
he believes in and not the thing he has once in his life. He was also done playing
this game of lies and sin, so he tears up his confession paper about all the other
people. So, like I said he is the protagonist because of what his problems bring out
in him but that is not the only thing that shows who he truly is. The other reason he
rather choose to hang is so that he doesn t let such an innocent girl like his wife
Elizbeth die for his mistakes. He states it very clear when is talking to Mary
Warren about the situation and he says (Miller.2.435) My wife will never die for
me! I will bring your guts into your mouth but that goodness will not die for me! .
Even though he may not be entirely interested or truthful to Elizbeth, he still cared
for her and would rather himself die then an innocent woman for him. While he was
doing this his wife was supposed to be persuading him even though she knew she
couldn t to lie but didn t because she understood his need for redemption. In
Effectiveness Of The Company s Communication Strategy
1. Introduction
Founded in 2006 by Australian Janine Allis, Boost Juice was launched to fill a gap
in the Australian market for a healthy fast food alternative. Now, Boost Juice offers
a wide range of healthy juices smoothies, as well as small nutritional snacks such as
protein balls across over 350 Boost Juice bars in over 11 countries..
The purpose of this report is to analyse the effectiveness of the company s
communication strategy with regards to the chosen target market.
2. Company Background
2.1 Target Market
The target market identified by Boost Juice is 18 35 year olds, however they identify
their core target to be a health conscious, 25 year old female looking for a healthy
alternative to fast food. This specific target ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Wright, Flynn and Macdonald (2006) found that young men related health and fitness
to being involved in some form of sport, where as for young women health and
fitness was a combination of exercise healthy eating habits, body weight and shape.
This indicates that young women are more likely to choose a healthier fast food
alternative such as Boost Juice than their male counterparts as the men don t consider
what food they eat to be as important. An increase in health related information has
been widespread across the media; meaning consumers are realizing the importance of
healthy eating, but especially those who are most connected, being younger adults
(Iverson, Kraft, 2006, Huffington Post). There s been a strong increase in demand for
healthy holistic food, especially among women (Advertising age). These trends in
health consciousness, combined with a massive shift in the wealth and purchasing
power of women means that there is a high demand and purchasing power behind the
target market identified by Boost Juice.
The purchase made by the target consumer satisfies multiple needs and wants. For
example it may satisfy the following needs as identifies by Maslow (1943):
Needs:
Physiological (food, water)
Safety security (health)
Self esteem (confidence, self satisfaction)
While a Boost Juice will satisfy these needs, many other alternatives would also
satisfy the same needs. This is where wants come in, with a want being the specific
differences

Media Convergence Analysis
I thought Heidi A. Mckee had some really interesting material that I had not
thought of before on the issue of ethical and legal issues surrounding the
convergence of media. As media in today s age is constantly changing, so in order
to keep up with the ever evolving media the ethical and legal laws must also evolve
with it. Before reading this essay by Mckee, I did not know about the legal and
ethical implications of mediaconvergence. So in reading this it was very eye opening
to see all the issues associated media.
What really stuck out to me was the issues of ethical issues as a teacher who
incorporated media into the lessons. As a future teacher, I never thought of having to
have students sign consent or release forms for their work if
Biology of a Squid Essay
Biology of a Squid
Squids are among the most varied and unique of all invertebrates. They are
mollusks of the Class Cephalopod, along with the nautilus, cuttlefish, and octopus.
Squids are highly evolved, and have developed a number of traits uncommon to
most other mollusks. Fossil records of cephalopods have dated back the Cambrian
Period (about 600 million years ago). Structurally, squids have only small variations
of a basic theme common to all cephalopods. They are spherical or cigar shaped with
two fins used to stabilize movement when swimming. Ten arms are easily
distinguished emerging from near the mouth Eight of these arms each have four rows
of suction cups encircled by rings of chitinous (horny) hooks. These suction ... Show

Squids (and cephalopods in general) possess several unusual abilities that help them
deal with their predators (which range anything from large fish to sperm whales).
Their lack of an external shell allows them to squeeze into very tight places, enabling
them to conveniently and easily hide from their enemies. When confronted with a
dangerous animal away from hiding places, however, squids seem to have a
disadvantage when compared to other mollusks with external shells. If attacked, they
have no exterior protection. To counter this potential crisis, they have adapted a
number of tactics. First, they are capable of temporarily altering the color of their
skin, in effect camouflaging themselves. They can shift their appearance from a deep
brown color, to a white, or almost transparent quality. Along with this, they are able to
slightly change the texture of their skin. This form of camouflage allows the squid to
take the form of rocks, seaweed, or other ocean dwelling objects. If a hazardous foe
is not fooled by camouflage, the squid can release an ink cloud. The ink cloud has
a number of helpful characteristics that can ward off enemies. The cloud initially
causes the nearby water to become dark and cloudy, reducing the enemy s visibility
and allowing the squid to escape from danger. Some deep sea squids contain bacteria
in their ink so that the cloud glows, and scares away harmful rivals.
The Pros And Cons Of English As The Medium Of

Non native language particularly English, which is a Lingua franca a language that
is adopted as a common language between speakers whose native languages are
different, is often preferred to native language in the medium of instruction in higher
education in many places like Hong Kong and Singapore, according to Interim report
April 2014 of English as a medium of Instruction a growing Global phenomenon:

Opportunities of practicing English and exposure in English increase when English is
adopted in academic learning. Since English has been regarded as a trade language in
the world, when students are encouraged to attain proficiency in English, this grants
business advantages to them. For instance, the usage of English in business is
particularly significant in Hong Kong where international businesses are took place
frequently. Hong Kong s economy mainly depends on foreign trade and it is
externally oriented according to gov.hk . Therefore, students could easily enter to
workplace in Hong Kong as well as the global market by having English proficiency.
Graduates English abilities also related to Hong Kong s economy. For example, in
Chile, English language credentials for job candidates was affecting its economic
growth, the sole reason for most companies that were not willing to outsource
business to Chile was due to the inability of assessment in
The Scientific Management And Human Relations
Organisational behaviour is influenced by two main theories, scientific management
and human relations. The scientific management approach developed by Frederick
Winslow Taylor is one of the earliest ideological approaches which attempted to
explain a management process scientifically. The main goal was to find the
techniques to improve production efficiency of workers scientifically. On the
contrary, human relations studied by Elton Mayo studied the social interactions
within a working environment. Through his studies, he found that social
relationships motivates workers at their workplaces (Daft Samson 2014; Miller
Form, 1964).Based on the two approaches, this paper looks into the assumptions
made on workers; the path managers should take to maximise the efficiency of
workers and lastly, my choice between these two approaches as a worker.
Scientific management assumes the economic man concept where a worker acts
rationally to protect their own interests. In this case, the workers interest lies in
money. Therefore, the worker does what is asked of them for a better wage. For
example, Schimdt did as instructed for a pay of $1.85 per hour which is higher
than the average of $1.15 per hour. By following the instructions given, he
managed to load 47 tons a day instead of the average of 12 and a half tons (Miller
Form 1964). This signifies that by following instructions, the efficiency of a worker
will increase as long as they are rewarded highly.

Abstract
Aim: Green tea is healthy beverage and is a part of day to day life. Similarly,
chamomile tea is known for its asprin like properties. Beneficial effects of these tea
include such as protection against dental caries, periodontal disease and tooth loss

DISCUSSION:
In the last few years, an increased attention has been focused on the natural plant
extracts, especially those containing phenolic compounds with antimicrobial and
antioxidant properties. Tea is one of the important dietary sources of these
compounds. In recent years, there is a growing interest in green tea due to scientific
findings, which shows the health potentials of the beverage. Green tea polyphenols
act as anticariogenic12 and antibacterial13 agents. Catechins14 present in green tea
represent marked effect on PH value of saliva and dental plaque concern its reduction
after eating towards acidic state and preserve it within normal range. Moreover, green
tea extracts usage showed enhancement in Gingival Bleeding Index15 (GBI) due to it
is high content of catechins, so, oral application of catechins posses positive influence
on the gingival and periodontal structures concerning gingivitis and
The Need for Child-friendly Establishments
Child friendly establishments are becoming more sort after on the sunshine coast as
the population of families increases. According to the research conducted on average
83.3% of hospitality establishments may have well up to 10 or more families visiting
their business within one day. The local industry strives to accommodate for children
as the sunshine coast area is a popular family holiday destination. Therefore
hospitality establishments are changing their target audience from couples with no
children to families. With the rise in number of families eating out, are these
establishments really catering to the needs of the children or are they still pursing
child free customers?
Parents with children and babies have very different needs to that of an adult; this
makes children a special need clientele. Some of their special needs include; modified
seating, short attention spans, very energetic, basic uncomplicated foods, nutritional
food, pram access around the table, close parking, cost effective, access to gender
friendly bathrooms, modified toilets, change tables, breastfeeding areas and parents
want convenient location. To cater for these needs restaurants, cafГ© s, taverns and
other hospitality business need to have highchairs or booster seats, activity packs,
play areas, a kids menu, appetising nutritional food, space between tables,
specialized pram parking, family specials or meal deals, change tables, easily

How Does Tim O Brien Show Courage
The brave die never, though they sleep in dust: Their courage nerves a thousand
living men (Minor J. Savage). Bravery, is a noun. It s a behavior that one displays
through an action. Everyone has a different way of showing bravery and there are
many ways of showing this kind of behavior. It s not just want you do to show that
you are brave, it s also what you say. Tim O Brien shows readers how his characters
in stories, that he s written based on his own experience, display different acts of
bravery. Vietnam literature proves that Vietnam was bravery.
Courage is another word for bravery, it s a synonym. O Brien uses the word
courage in different parts of If I Die in a Combat Zone. He claims that, Courage is
nothing to laugh at, not if it is proper courage and exercised by men who know
what they do is proper. Proper courage is wise courage (Page 130). Courage
showed in this story, used quite a few times throughout the story but mainly
towards the end of the book. O Brien uses the word courage as an action. Only
certain people show courage and that s what he s telling us here. If a soldier knows
how to use courage the right way, they are using wise courage. Tim O Brien stated
that, For courage, according to Plato is one of the four parts of virtue. It is there with
temperance, justice, and wisdom, and all parts are necessary to make the sublime
human being (Page 140). When Tim O Brien mentions courage again he is talking
about how Plato thought of it. Plato thought of
Incidents In The Life Of The Runaway Slave Girl
William Grimes in the, Life of William Grimes the Runaway Slave, and Harriet
Jacobs in the, Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, both wrote about their lives
under the hands of slavery. Though they both experienced hardships, the difference
in gender played a role in how their enslavement was endured. These different
experiences influenced different tones. In Chapter three of Incidents, Jacobs tone is
emotional, hopeless and depressing. She writes But to the slave mother New Year s
day comes laden with peculiar sorrows. She sits on her cold cabin floor, watching
the children who may all be torn from her the next morning: and often does she wish
that she and they might die before the day dawns. The words she uses radiates the
devotion between... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While Grimes targeted anyone willing or curious enough to listen, Jacobs
specifically targeted white, Christian women. The tone she used was critical and
emotional. The sentence He tried his utmost to corrupt the pure principles my
grandmother had instilled. would provoke emotion from female Christian readers,
because it goes against their beliefs. She wants her audience to think and fully
understand the hardships she faced, therefore she makes her tone critical. She
engages the reader by saying, He told me I was his property; that I must subject to
his will in all things. My soul revolted against the mean tyranny. But where could I
turn to for protection? The sentence is shortly followed up by her stating why she
feels trapped. The mistress is of no help to a slave girl, she is jealous and angry
with her. This promotes the thoughts and feelings of the slave girl and make the
reader criticize themselves. While Grimes on the other hand stayed objective. On
page 78, Grimes says after receiving a severe beating, I had before anticipated this,
for I knew he could not do without me: all he wanted of me, to set me at liberty, was
for me to ask his pardon, and promise never to ask him to sell me again. Even when
he endured severe beating and imprisonment he stayed emotionless. Both authors
shared their compelling stories about their personal hand in slavery. Though they
have had many similar and different
Factors That Increase Sales The Online Marketplace
Optimize Strength
LV has a longstanding tradition of quality, innovation and heritage of over 150 years
by following three rules which were: to master the savoir faire, to provide excellent
service to customers and to innovate continuously. The corporation has also produced
an online market used as a channel to provide access to a larger customer base. To
boost sales the online marketplace should be opened to China and other Asian
markets since these markets possess large populations. LV has also advanced the
efficiency of its production system through the introduction of manufacturing
methods motivated by the lean production techniques utilized by Toyota Motors.
At its peak, efficiency was enhanced by 5 per cent per year, through a more
sustainable rate was assumed to be 3 per cent per year. To optimize this strength
the company must grow and increase production, in order to reduce its costs and
become more profitable. The corporation has also lessened the level of
specialization of an employee and trained employees in various activities. This is
can be improved by hiring fewer workers since the company can shift groups to
manufacture different products in response to changes in demand. Marketing and
advertising can have a tremendous influence on the value perceived by consumers
and hence the willingness to pay more for the company s offerings. The LV lifestyle
is sought after by consumers. LV products send the image of wealth and convey
exclusivity. It has brand loyalty,
Minority Report Ethical Issues
Minority Report is set in the year 2054 where a private company have supposedly
solved the problem of murder in Washington DC. The chosen theme that will be
explored in this analytical essay is ethics in the movie and mainly about the ethics
of the pre cogs. There is an ethical theme in this film because the pre cogs are
constantly drugged to the point where they can only see future murders and not the
reality that surrounds them. How is it ethical to keep people basically unconscious
against their will? The people who set up the pre crime are using the principle of
utilitarianism; the sacrifice of a few to benefit many to justify using the pre cogs.

John gets his eyes removed, he is waking up from his beliefs in the pre crime

An Informative Essay On Wild Turkeys
The wild turkey is an animal most people have heard of because of hunting
reasons, but do you know the basic facts? The wild turkey species has 6 subspecies;
these include the eastern wild turkey, Osceola (Florida) wild turkey, Rio Grande

These turkeys are different in color but are mostly the same because they are the
same species of animal. The wild turkey is dark in color, either brown, black, or a
similar color. Their wings are dark and are boldly barred with white. The rump and
tail of the animal are tipped with a rustic color or white. The final part of the
animal, the bare skin of the head and neck, are varieties of red, blue, or gray. Both
male and female measurements for the wild turkey species are the same. The

So Long A Letter By Marium Ba
In the novel So Long a Letter by Marium Ba, pologmy and friendship is two of the
major themes in the book. The main charter in the book, Ramatoulaye suffers and
endures a long journey of love and betrayal. Ramatoulaye a well educated women, is
a teacher, a wife and most importantly a mother of twelve children. After things
between her and her husbandescalate, she is left with a tough decision on whether to
weather the storm and stay, or leave her husband and become a single mother of
twelve children. Through out the book, the author speaks about three different
polygamous marriages. However, I will be discussing the two major ones which
include Ramatoulaye and Aissatou. The main differences between these marriages
are the motives of entering a polygamous marriage. Mariama BГў speaks powerfully
against polygamy in her novel , however the differences among these polygamous
marriages is a good tool of understanding Senegalese culture. In addition, It is
important for one to understand the kind of relationships which Ramatoulaye and
Aissatou shared with their husbands.
Aissatou marriage was different from Ramatoulaye. Aissatou marriage took place due
to family obligations unlike Ramatoulaye who married by choice. Ramatoulaye
marriage was not hindered by their parents even though her mother found him too
handsome, too polished, and too perfect for a man .Ramatoulaye knew that first sight
that he was the one she was waiting for (Mariama). Their association endured over

He is known as the father of Romanticism. He believed that humans must follow the
promptings of our own nature , and not be bound by social laws of politeness. He
also wrote an autobiography, Confessions that discusses his experience of crossing
the Alps alone on foot; Confessions is a perfect example of his Romantic passion,
for example, I need torrents, rocks, firs, dark woods, mountains... to make me
afraid (King 11). Smart is recognized as an original poet and forerunner of the
Romantics, best known is his loving itemization of the qualities of his cat, a
classically Romantic appreciation of a being that rejoices in being itself and
living for the day. Chatterton inspired Coleridge, Wordsworth, and Shelley because
of his determination to seek his life in London although he was depressed and died
at a young age. He was a product of youthful genius. Coleridge describes him as the
marvelous Boy, the sleepless Soul that perished in his pride. Chatterton s early
death is also said to be a Romantic foreshadowing of the early deaths of all three of
the second generation of Romantic poets (King 13 15). Godwin was an atheist and
believed humans could improve themselves without institutions or laws. His
daughter was Mary Godwin, who married Percy Shelley. She wrote Frankenstein,
which is known as a Gothic novel in Romanticism (King 16). The period also

DCF Placement History:
During Stephanie s first removal, from July 2002 until April 2004, she was placed,
along with her siblings, in a Departmental foster home. In May 2010, Stephanie was
removed from her mother s care again and placed in a Departmental foster home.
Stephanie was then placed with his maternal aunt, as was her twin brother, Michael.
Her aunt Maritza expressed interest in becoming the guardian of Stephanie. The
Department developed concerns regarding her ability to care for Stephanie. The
maternal aunt (foster parent) struggled with sending Stephanie to school on a
regular basis, she did not make herself available for all home visits, missed medical
appointments, and she was struggling with her own possible mental health issues
and illness. She agreed with DCF that she was not able to care for the children and
needed to take care of herself. In September 2012, Stephanie was placed at her current
foster placement and has remained at the same placement.
Current Placement:
Stephanie is at an IFC foster home through Dare Family Services and has been at the

Did the author consider that maybe these people shared exact or similar beliefs as
McCandless? However, I believe that this novel may have encouraged this type of
behavior by presenting Chris McCandless as an archetype for the idea of the way
you want to. From the details told by Gallien, Krakauer notes that Gallien was
concerned that Alex only contained a ten pound bag of rice, a rifle that was a .22
caliber and no ax, no bug dope, no snowshoes, and no compass that are essential to
survival in the wilderness. As analyzed in the dialogue between McCandless and
Gallien, McCandless appears as the type of person who believes that nothing is
inevitable. McCandless s journey can be seen as an act of bravery or idiotic
depending on your opinion, but this story also teaches society valuable lessons on
life. The story McCandless s lifestyle persuades society to examine and observe the
world from a different person s perspective. It is believed in Krakauer s novel that
McCandless alienated himself from society because he was upset to learn that his
father was a bigamist and others believed that he went to find himself through
exploration. His journey teaches the larger picture of life such as living life in a way
that makes you happy a message shown in journals written by McCandless. Although
he knew he was in danger he made no attempt to receive help and his journal entries
portray no evidence that
Going the Distance
Helen Corne
Going the Distance Life is full of hard knocks. I was raised in a broken down
apartment, by my single mother. She tried her best to support my sister and me.
There were five apartments in each complex. There must have been at least ten
trashy buildings pushed together by government funding. Each apartment had up to
ten people hiding away in it. There were enough people to create our own city. The
walls were so thin that I could smell the fried foods, and hear the neighbors yelling
at their kids from the next apartment. The apartments stunk of bug spray, and roaches
crawled out from under the doors. My clothes were handed down from my older
sister who had a problem of wetting herself. My mother washed the clothes ... Show

is responsible for performing his duty to the very best of his ability. He then

soldier in the Army assumes this personal responsibility when they take the oath.
Although this information seemed a bit overwhelming, I was captivated, and felt
ready to move forward.
My next step was for the recruiter to set up an appointment for me to take a test,
known as the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). This test
measures the skill level of a person to fit them with the right type of job. It was a
set of questions in English, Math, and Vocabulary. Although I dropped out of high

while he holds the idea of her remaining a virgin forever in disdain, but on the other
hand there will be repercussions for him as well, in the sense that all his sexual
fantasies, desires, and wants will burn up, And into ashes my lust (Line 30). In the
poem The Flea by John Donne has powerful imagery in it as well, such as the blood
representing life experiences in and of itself, but in the story when it says It sucked
me first, and now sucks thee, /And in this flea our two bloods mingled be; is
basically telling us that a flea had bitten and drawn blood from the male and female

they are as one now as the poem states This flea is you and I, and this/Our marriage

William Blake s Songs Of Innocence And Experience
William Blake s Songs of Innocence and Experience, printed in 1794, represents the
world as it is envisioned by what he calls two contrary states of the human soul
(Greenblatt, 1452). This collection of poetry is accompanied by pictures, which
create a mutually reliant relationship that allows for complete understanding of Blake
s works. To read a Blake poem without the pictures is to miss something important:
that relationship is an aspect of the poem s argument (1452). Overall, Blake s works
in Songs of Innocence and Experience provides a greater understanding into human
life. Through poetry, Blake juxtaposes the innocence of childhood with the
corruption of adulthood. Thus, his work allows the reader to see situations from a
double sided lens of innocence and then of experience. These two perspectives,
known as the two contrary states of the human soul , are independent and each
poem is accompanied by another poem; the poem Infant Joy is paired with Infant
Sorrow and the meek Lamb reveals its other aspect of divinity in the flaming,
wrathful Tyger (1456). In Songs of Innocence, published in 1789, celebrates the
innocence and untainted nature of childhood but it also doubles as a warning to
adults. It warns them that the corruption of society and culture is to come and in
Songs of Experience, a state of being that encompasses the loss of childhood vitality
and corruption caused by social and political influence. The innocence and experience

Price Segmentation Price segmentation is common and widely practiced. Variation
in household incomes creates an opportunity for segmenting some markets along a
price dimension. If personal incomes range from low to high, the reasoning goes,
then a company should offer some cheap products, some medium priced ones, and
some expensive ones. 4. Demographic Segmentation Gender, age, income, housing
type, and education level are common demographic variables. Some brands are
targeted only to women, others only to men. Music downloads tend to be targeted to
the young, while hearing aids are targeted to the elderly. Education levels often
define market segments. For instance, private elementary schools might define their
target market as highly educated households containing women of childbearing age.

How Did The Renaissance Impact The Modern World
After feudalism and the Black Plague, the Renaissance was a time for people to
celebrate a rebirth. After feudal societies in the Middle Ages came a time period
called the Renaissance. At that time, the wealth of the citizens was on a rise and
people put large sums of money towards literature, art, and exploring new ideas.
There were many social, political, and intellectual changes during the era that have

The era was primarily a time of revival of classical learning and wisdom after a long
period of cultural decline and stagnation (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica).
The Renaissance became a time where learning was more important than it had been
previously, during the Middle Ages. The Renaissance was a surge of interest in
classical learning and values that pushed for exploration and discoveries (Guisepi).
During this time, Christopher Columbus discovered North America. Because of the
explorations that had began, Columbus found America, and life would be very
different without this discovery. He found land beyond Europe, which was not
thought of to be true at the time. Not only would America have been undiscovered
without Columbus, but also the Renaissance made the possibility for Columbus to
make his discoveries because of technology that had been invented, like the mariner
s compass. Discoveries did not end, and there were even more scientific discoveries.

The Country Of Ghana And Nigeria Essay
What is surprising by most is how Africa is one of the largest known continents and
being one of the richest when it comes to natural resources. However, the countries
that make up Africa and the people living in these countries are known to be living in
devastating poverty. How can it be that this plentiful continent of natural resources,
Africas people are living in povertyand living in the poorest conditions? With Africa
being such a rich continent of natural resources why are the countries within Africa
so poor? Take for instance, the countries Ghana and Nigeria There are many
countries within Africa but the main focus will be on the country of Ghana and
the country of Nigeria. Both countries are poor and the people there are in poverty.
Ghana has been struggling with poverty and being poor for quite some time and
has been slowly trying to work its way out of poverty. In an article called

Critique the Power of Organizations from Weberian and...
Q 1. Critique the power of organizations from Weberian and Goffmanesque
perspectives in the Stanford Prison This document briefly reviews and critiques the
ideas of Weber and Goffman in applying them to the Standard Prison Experiment.
Weber identified the significance of bureaucracy within organizations. Within the
bureaucratic organization there is a stratification of hierarchy where the legal
legitimate authority is invested in individuals who exercise command on the basis of
rules and not on the basis of personal authority (Morrison, 2006). Legitimate authority
within a bureaucratic organization aims to remove the subjectivity and
unpredictability of human action thus decisions are made and behaviours

The admission process into an institution is routinely followed by guidelines and
procedures (Morrison, 2006) the guards give orders and the prisoners follow them,
however the guards mocked the prisoners through this process thus, removes
impersonal authority. Clearly Weber s theory of a rational system incorporating
impersonal authority is not sufficient to explain the events of Stanford Prison.
Goffman, Power and AuthorityA correlation can be made between Goffman s theory
on mortification of the self when entering some institutions, and the prisoners
entering Stanford Prison. Goffman identifies; names and titles are lost, institutional
uniforms replace personal clothing, personal space is lost or disregarded, personal
information discussed inappropriately and constant humiliation (1959 in Smith). The
men entering Stanford Prison were fingerprinted, photographed, assigned a number,
stripped naked and de loused, personal items removed and issued with prison
clothing, while the men s head were not shaved they had to wear a socking to
illustrate shaved head (Zimbardo, 2009). This was the result of a deliberate policy
from the Superintendent to remove any trace of individual identity (Zimbardo, 2009).
Thus the power of the organization to remove the prisoner s
America s Military Veterans And Denying Aid
America has both a long history of providing aid to their military veterans and
denying aid to its veterans. According to the US Department of Veteran Affairs the
roots of the program trace back to 1636, when the Pilgrims of Plymouth County
were at war with the Pequot Indians (US DEPT). A law was passed by the Pilgrims
stating that disabled soldiers would be supported by the colony. Later when the
Continental Congress was looking for enlistees during the Revolutionary War they
promised pensions to disabled soldiers. Of all of the soldiers who fought in the
Revolutionary War only a few thousand ever received their pensions. (CNN

One reason for this is due to the fact that many of these veterans reside in rural areas
where it is difficult for them to obtain access to care due to limited resources and the
need to travel large distances for care (Helseth).
Access to Healthcare for Rural Veterans A large number of veterans with service
related injuries live in rural areas due to the fact that residents in rural communities
are more likely to join military service then individuals from urban areas. 44% of
recruits are from rural areas compared to 14% from urban (Gale). Due to the higher
rate of rural individuals joining the military, there is a higher rate of rural veterans
needing medical care after leaving the military. According to the VHA ORH of the
22 million vets in the U.S, 5.3 million or 24% live in rural areas. 3.2 million of these
rural vets are registered with the Veterans Affairs healthcare system, this accounts for
35% of total enrollees. Approximately 2.8 million VA patients are affected by a
service related injury with 1,027,000 or 36% of them coming from rural areas.
Many of the vets living in rural areas do not get the help they need and are entitled
to due to barriers to healthcare with the main barrier being the distance to the nearest
VHA facility. This can cause vets to seek more expensive care at non VA

regards to the number of individuals or group of individuals involved, i.e the size and
the presence or absence of internal conflicts in the groups.
As mentioned above, the key parties involved are Neiman, TPG, Warburg, their
respective lawyers as well as Neiman s banker, Goldman Sachs.

English Reformed Protestants basically means is that the Puritans, were Christians

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK AND LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1 Literature Review
The aim of this literature review is to examine the complexities of the theoretical
discussion on the concepts and empirical research works on urban development,
peripheral development and metropolitan expansion in order to find a theoretical
place within the broader concept of urban growth effect on infrastructural
development of peripheral settlements. In an attempt to strike a balance between the
growth of cities and the attendant effects on the infrastructural facilities of peripheral
settlements, a reconciliation of various growth concepts of urban development need
to be forged, the relationship of these concepts was brought to the fore with the
literature review of the studies of urban physical growth showing that urbanisation
and city growth have received much attention in the literature on urban studies

The more recent literature is examined basically from the 1990s for the development
of the theoretical and conceptual discussions. Major scientific journals concerning

Since wasting contacts time is unacceptable, you should prepare an agenda before

It was not until he was seven when his single mother on welfare decided to move

By the age of 12, Jerome took on his first job as a photographer. By the age of 13 he
received his first paycheck and by 14 he decided he wanted to become a muralist.
A total of three of his murals were hung around Baltimore, two of which rest upon

It was mid April 2009. Tom Adams, president and CEO of Rosetta Stone, Inc. (Rosetta
Stone), the language learning software company, reached for his iPhone to contact
Phil Clough of private equity fund ABS Capital. Adams and Clough had been
discussing plans to take
Rosetta Stone public for some time. The wait was finally over.
In the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, the market for initial public offerings

signs. Just a week prior, Chinese online videogame developer Changyou.com had

With the crisis in full swing, investors had flocked to U.S. Treasuries for security,
pushing down yields on these instruments to historic lows (see Exhibit 4).
Heightened investor risk aversion had expanded the risk premium for all securities.
The general market risk premium was currently estimated at 6.5% or 8.5%,
respectively, depending on whether long term or short term government yields were
used in estimating the risk free rate.
In February and March of 2009, there had been some evidence of improvement in
financial and economic conditions. Wholesale inventories were in decline. New
home sales were beginning to rise. The equity market had experienced a rally of
over 20% in recent weeks. Yet many money managers and analysts worried that
such economic green shoots were only a temporary rally in a longer running bear
market. There was strong concern that the magnitude of government spending
would spur inflation in the U.S. dollar. GDP growth was still negative, corporate
bankruptcy rates and unemployment were at historic highs, and many believed the
economic void was just too big for a quick recovery to be feasible. A Wall Street
Journal survey of U.S. economists suggested that the economy was expected to
generate positive growth in the last half of 2009.1 In contrast, a survey of U.S.
corporate executives stated that less than a third of respondents expected to see an

Media Coverage On Afric Ethnic Conflict And Civil War
Media Coverage in Africa Ethnic conflict and civil war is a recurrent phenomena
affecting many countries in Africa, and has been ignored, oversimplified and
overlooked by majority of the Western world. Despite the decades of conflict, and
loss of life, when the media does cover conflict in Africa, the damage has already
been done. For an example, the awareness regarding the Rwandan Crisis was very
delayed and action was taken too late, causing the deaths of thousands of lives.
In 1994, Rwanda s population consisted of seven million people and was composed
of three ethnic groups: Hutu, Tutsi, and Twa. Ranging between 85% for Hutu
population, 14% for Tutsi, and 1% for Twa. In the early 1990 s, the Hutus blamed all

While Rwanda was having one sided bloodbath, the rest of the world thought this
was a resolution to the Hutu take over of the late 1950 s. When the crisis finally
came to light, the media harshly criticized the United Nations for not recognizing
the conflict as a genocide sooner, and reacting to prevent it. However, the media
must share blame for failing to provide notice of the genocide. In remote places of
the world where significant information intelligence is not abundant, the news
business is highly relied upon to act as a system of warning; in Rwanda, the media
did not fulfill this role.
Between 1976 and 1978, a Marxist government in Ethiopia killed approximately
five hundred thousand of the the country s citizens in a a bloodbath called the Red
Terror. The Terror came from a peaceful movement to end the rule of Emperor
Haile Selassie. The Emperor was deposed of in 1974 and military members known
as Derg took over. The Derg began rounding up and killing those suspected of being
members of a rebel force [3]. Another conflict without the role of the United Nations
or other Western governments intervening that would have prevented a multitude of
deaths in Ethiopia. By the end of the 1980 s, the regime was losing financial and
military support from the Soviet Union and even then, it still took as long as eleven
years afterward for the Ethiopian People s Revolutionary Democratic Front
Jerzy Kosinski Being There Essay
I choose the book Being There by Jerzy Kosinski. As I was looking through all the
possibilities of what to read, this book was the one that caught my attention. The
passage that explains a little of what the book is really drew me in. The words
money, power, and sex are what essentially made me choose the book. It to me
sounded somewhat like a drama. After reading the book, it wasn t totally what I
expected. It was interesting, but it wasn t as informative to me. I wanted more to
the book, especially with the way it ended. The ending upset, because it all of a
sudden just ended. I thought by the end of the book Chance would ve been figured
out, and all would ve been ok, but it just ended so abruptly. Even though it ended
suddenly, it did end with him being at a place where he was content and at peace.
Although it wasn t how I expected, I did enjoy it. The context behind the book is
what kept me going, and I loved the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He s perception on the outside world never really changed, he was still confused
and always connected everything back to his garden. The minimum change I say
in Chance was he somewhat found love. EE the person who backed into him with
her limousine fell in love with Chance, and while Chance love for her wasn t like
the love she felt for him, it was still apparent the attraction was there. The other
change he experienced as I read the book, is Chance gained a lot more of friends
and companions. In the beginning he essentially had no one besides Louise, who
left and the old man, which he rarely ever saw. I will say, once Chance was behind
the walls of the house he had been trapped behind for many years, you could
essentially say he was free. He experienced a new life, and a new world. I don t
think chance really influenced me in a way, just because I couldn t really relate to
him in a way, but he did make me realize that people can take things and interpret
them into their own

Boston Massacre Happened
What Really Happened at the Boston Massacre It was a cool night in Boston in
early march. I was passing by the customs house while a group of boys began to
yell and hollering at some British soldiers. As the boys continued the soldiers
began to fluster, so much to the point that he strikes one of the boys with his rifle.
And as soon as I can blink, I was in the middle of a crowd surrounding the soldier.
As the crowd grew, more soldiers came to his side. The crowd started to get out of
control so one of the soldiers picked up his musket and fired into the crowd and so
his allies followed suit with one of the musket shots nearly missing me. All of the
citizens run in all directions and the crowd nearly trampling children. I returned
home and later discovered that the soldiers were placed under house arrest and soon
after taken to jail and charged for the death of several people. As things heated up in
court, more and more British soldiers arrived in Boston. They did this to bring peace
to Boston but it did not do that it all. It did the exact opposite and caused even more
chaos. And as chaos spread... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I picked who I thought was the most consistent or who s stories were the most
similar to each other s. I focused on the locations they mentioned, specifically
around the town house and King street because they seem to have the most
eyewitness backing. They I focused on a few different little details. Like the
number of soldiers that witnesses say shot somebody. Then I focused on what was
said. Witnesses say that they heard a soldier with their back to them say Fire . For
the people I didn t believe. I just felt that some of their key points were just too far
off the facts that were trending between some of the other people. I know that there
is several people that I do not have on wither list and that s because I felt that I didn t
have enough information to definitely say who goes on
William Blake Songs of Innocence Experience
The Chimney Sweeper Songs of Innocence amp; Experience analysis with, William
Blake
In 1794 William Blake s work was known and published as a collection of poems
that were put together as one book called Songs of innocence amp; Songs of
Experience. In the collection Blake titles a poem, The Chimney Sweeper , and this
one is viewed in two ways: Innocence and experience. In the book of innocence
Blake shows how poor innocent children are being abused and mistreated during
this time era. In Songs of innocence, The Chimney Sweeper, is about the way
childhood youth is destroyed, taken away or ruined by selfish mean spirited adults.
Innocence to Blake was in a way not even in existence. He always believed that the

However, they are not his ideal target here. He suggests that it is because I am
happy and dance and sing that they think they have done me no injury .(Line9 10)
While no excuse is offered for the church that they have run off to the parents may
not be malicious; it is possible that they are simply misguided, or perhaps self
deceiving. The sweeper clearly implies that God and his priest and king are to
blame, because they make up a heaven of our misery .(Line11 12) The question that
comes to mind after reading and analyzing the third stanza is one I think most would
assume. How could those whom have such a great standing in faith run off, leave a
child to finish the job that has been tasked out for him/her to do; and forget them,
proceeding to go give praise to God? It is clear that the parents seek acceptance
from the church and if putting their child on the back burner is what it takes that is
the way they are choosing. As a result, this poem accomplishes it purpose very well.
In Songs of Experience, the child in The Chimney Sweeper understands that he is a
forgotten son. Another Key point that I would like to make is the comparison with
Innocence and the term good , and Experience with the term evil . Blake also
referred to his poem, The Lamb with innocence and goodness, contrary, The Tyger
with evilness and experience. This collection of poems by Blake does make one
question things that they normally would not. This in depth topic
The Link Between Anxiety And Depression
Research
Topic: Anxiety and depression are often linked, experts say, as dealing with long term
anxiety can lead to depression, or one may feel anxious about their battle with
depression.
In order to talk about the link between Anxiety and Depression, there is a word that
must be discussed: comorbidity. According one paper, Comorbidity may imply
either the co occurrence of two or more disorders in an individual at a given time,
or the manifestation of multiple disorders during the lifetime of the individual.
(Seligman and Ollendick, pg. 125) Two disorders may be comorbid when there is
symptom overlap; when one underlying construct is split into two separate
disorders ; when disorders share risks, or when one disorder causes or increases the
risk of developing the second disorder. (S and o, pg. 125) People with comorbid
disorders are, typically more severely impaired than children with either disorder
alone. (1) However, there has only been a limited amount of research done on
individuals with comorbid disorders, as comorbidity often serves to exclude people
from entry. This paper with specifically discuss and expand upon the comorbidity
between anxiety and depression.
Anxiety and depression are highly comorbid disorders. In a study done about the
relationship between anxiety and depression, researchers found a group of 106
children who struggled with DSM III diagnosed anxiety disorder. Of those 106
children, 28% were found to have a comorbid depressive disorder.

Before 1930, features of Housing loans presented significant challenges. To obtain a
home loan a down payment of half the value the house was required. Further issues
with these loans were large balloon payments and short maturities. The pricing for
mortgage loans varied widely due to no nationwide housing market. The main funding
for these loans was provided by life insurers, thrifts, and commercial banks.
By 1932, a housing crisis was wreaking havoc on home loans. The estimated

The Veterans Administration mortgage assistance program was created to help
veterans purchase home loan with long term and low cost mortgages. With the
purchases of these VA loans, Fannie Maeincreased business rapidly.
In the 1950s as the funds started to dwindle Fanny Mae was acquired by the
Housing and Home Finance Agency as a constituent unit in 1950. Four years later the
Federal National Mortgage Association Charter Act turned Fanny Mae into a mixed
ownership corporation. This exempted Fannie Mae from all taxes except pay
property taxes.
The Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 morphed Fannie Mae yet again.
The prior change to a mixed ownership corporation was voided. HUD made Fannie
Mae a for profit, shareholder owned company. This took Fannie Mae off the
government books and into stock and bond marketing funding. Regulatory authority
was given to HUD and required lenders to devote a reasonable portion of their loans
to low and moderate income housing.
HUD affected the housing market a third major way by creating the Government

Ginnie Mae sole purpose is to guarantee bonds backed by home mortgages. These
home mortgages have been guaranteed by FHA and the VA. Ginnie Mae does not

8 Chemical Reactions
There are many different types of chemical reactions but there are only 8 main types
of chemical reactions i will be talking about. The names of these 8 reasctions are Acid
Base, Synthesis, Decomposition, Precipitation, Single replacement, Double
replacement, Combustion, and Redox. Synthesis reactions are when you get two (or
more) light substances and mix it to get a more complicated product. An example
would be : (kind of complicated one) Synthesis of Potassium Chloride 2k + Cl2
2KCl (more understanding example (easier)) A + B AB. This chemical reactionis the
opposite of Decomposition reaction. Decomposition reaction is more crushed into
smaller chemical species. An example would be : AB A + B or 2H2O 2H2O 2H1 + O2

Double replacement reaction is switching two compositions with the components.
An example would be AB + CD AD + CB (B and D switched places). This reaction
is paired unlike single replacement so that is how you can tell the difference
between both those reactions (really easy). Redox reaction is an electric reaction.
Redox is a combination of the word reduction and oxidation (first two letters of the
word). Reduction gains more and more electrons, on the other hand, oxidation is
more loosing the electrons. The electrons are within the species and an example of
this type of chemical reaction will be oxidised. Last but not least... The acid base
reaction is when an acid and base are placed well balanced they acknowledge to
neutralize the acid and base belongings generating a salt. The acid is a anion and
the base is a cation and that is called SALT. An example of Acid base chemical
reaction would be HCl + NaOH NaCl + H2O. It is useful to be familiar with
chemical reactions because without it you would not be alive right now. What I mean
by that is that chemicals collaborate with eachother and it creates energy and

Although there are advantages and disadvantages to both a representative
government and deliberative democracy the benefits are largely dependant on the
context of policy making and whose interests are being considered. A representative
democracy is one that is currently in place across Australia and, for the most part, the
rest of the world whereby a group of representatives deliberate without unequal
distributions to power on behalf of the nations citizens by denoting their beliefs,
attitudes and perspectives. Recent and ongoing concerns regarding the self interested,
bureaucratic nature of government has lead to increased interest in a more classical
deliberative form of democracyparticularly at the idea of public participation... Show

The argument being that representative democracy allows for politically educated
and aware elected representatives, who have the resources and expertise, to make
informed decisions. This views the decision to allow the general public who may lack
political awareness or inclination to make rational, well considered judgments,
incredibly detrimental as average citizens may not consider long term solutions or
may marginalise individuals and minorities. Begging other questions in regards to
whether elected officials should utilise their skill and knowledge to lead the public
through more informed decision that may be better for the greater good of the
community by acting independently or operate merely as relay mechanisms for the
views of their constituents (Australian Politics 2010). Some advocates of
representative democracy acknowledge its limitations, but argue that deliberative
democracy is simple unfeasible in modern conditions. A direct government with high
levels of participation may be possible amongst relatively small communities, because
personal communication can take place between and amongst its citizens, however it
is impractical and ineefgctive when it comes to larger nations or states. The idea of
consulting the general public on all issues, sanctioning wide ranging discussion and
debate, and holding mass meetings conducted in modern
Positive And Negative Influence Of Globalization
Google: The Impact and Positive and Negative Influence of Globalization
According to the famous economist and philosopher Adam Smith, Christopher
Columbus s discovery of the Americas in the search of spice was one of the most
important events that led to the globalization big bang (O Rourke Williamson, 2000).
The discovery led to a more interacted and integrated world through trade, cultural
infusion, colonization, and the exchange of ideas and goods not only in the 1400s but
also in the world today. Globalization played a huge role in forming the world today.
It demonstrated its power through both positive and negative impacts on the society,
culture, economy, politics, environment, and lastly, religion. The success of the
transnational corporation, Google, was one of many evidences that revealed the
influence of globalization. Ever since Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page
and Sergey Brin, it grew exponentially over the last 19 years. Today, Google
employed more than 60,000 workers in 50 different nations and influenced the lives
of billions of people across the globe. The company launched hundreds of products
from Google Search and Chrome to Google Home (Google, n.d.). So, how does
Google relate to globalization? As a transnational corporation, Google demonstrated
the importance and positive and negative influence of globalization through labor,
global governance, and trade.
Started in a garage in 1998, Google caught the attention of many members of the
community as well as the investors in the Silicon Valley. It received its first
$100,000 investment from the Sun co founder Andy Bechtolsheim. From there,
Google expanded rapidly. It hired more workers such as engineers, people in the
sales team, and introduced the first company dog, Yoshka. They eventually received
$25 million of venture capital. Shortly after, they moved their headquarters ( The
Googleplex ) to Mountain View, California (Google, n.d.). In 2000, Google released
10 different language versions of Google.com using French, German, Italian, Spanish,
Swedish, Finnish, Portuguese, Dutch, Norwegian and Danish. In 2004, Google
registered for Initial Public Offering (IPO) at $85 per share with 19,605,052 shares.

Aristotle s Archetype Of A Tragic Hero
To quote W.H Auden, The truly tragic kind of suffering is the kind produced and
defiantly insisted upon the hero himself. A real tragedy, true suffering, is never
resolved, it goes on hopelessly forever. True suffering takes place in a corner, in an
untidy place. Aristotle s tragic hero defines suffering in the truest form. Aristotle s
tragic herofalls from a noble stature due to a disastrous flaw in their personality and
their own fatal choice. Many Shakespearean plays feature a tragic hero. Hamlet is
one of Shakespeare s characters who match Aristotle s archetype of a tragic hero.

These three components will be met between act III, scene II and the end of the
play. An anagnorisis is an enlightenment that leads the tragic hero from ignorance
to knowledge. In act III, scene II, Hamlet produces a play entitled the Mousetrap.
The Mousetrap presents the true story of a murder carried out in Vienna. He hopes
the play will reveal Claudius to indeed be guilty of murdering his father it does.
This realization of his uncle s guilt inspires Hamlet to seek revenge for his father s
murder but, because of his hamartia, he constantly fails. In act IV, scene IV he will
recognize his hamartia and with this new insight, he vows to strive for an ideal of
forcefulness, but he fails to enact this as he continues to overthink and over
analyze. Through these critical discoveries and his gradual downfall, Hamlet
realizes his imperfections and how to live life, but in the long run this growth will
be useless because he dies. Hamlet s death will provide the final ingredient to a
tragic hero the catharsis. The catharsis is an emotional climax, evoking a purging of
emotions and a strong sense of pity or fear. When Hamlet is poisoned, the audience
is able to sympathize with him as it becomes apparent he is truly an honorable and
compassionate person who is
Flaws Of Utilitarianism
English philosopher and social critic Jeremy Bentham argues that happiness and
pleasure is what should be aimed for in life based off his theory of utilitarianism.
Utilitarianism is defined as the belief that actions are right if it promotes happiness or
pleasure. Identifying an action as wrong or right depends on the amount of happiness
or unhappiness an individual expresses from the action that takes place.
To understand this theory, let us look at an example otherwise known as the Trolley
Problem. The Trolley Problem is a concerning situation where a loose trolley is
flying through a singular straight track until reaching a fork. In total there are six
people tied to the railway tracks. There s one person on one side and five people on
the other. There is lever that can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Utilitarianism is primarily nonpartisan which at first seems like a utopian mindset in
comparison to the world today, but at deeper thought it gets increasingly more
disturbing. Like the example stated earlier, it would be terrible to have to choose
between your mother or a stranger in a dire situation. However, emotional
connection has no meaning in this ideology. The theory also has a flaw with
outcomes always justifying the means. This means that it doesn t matter how one
achieves happiness or pleasure, as long as it s the final outcome. For example, the
Black Plague was a terrible epidemic to have crossed the nation, but the outcomes,
such as the decrease in overpopulation and the advancements in medicine, made it
seem like it was what needed because of the positive results. Lastly, this theory has a
knack for lacking in rights meaning if the majority does not care for a minority and
wants to kick them out of a certain location, Utilitarianism will defend the majority
since it will have the highest amount of happiness or pleasure. Though Utilitarianism
has many controversial factors, it also has respectable points as

Movie Analysis Essay.pdf

  • 1. Movie Analysis Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of movie analysis can be both intriguing and challenging. It demands a deep understanding of cinematic techniques, narrative structures, character development, thematic exploration, and the ability to critically analyze various aspects of a film. Firstly, selecting the right movie to analyze is crucial. It should be a film that not only interests you but also offers ample material for in-depth examination. Next comes the task of dissecting the movie, scene by scene, to uncover its underlying themes, motifs, and messages. This involves scrutinizing the plot, character interactions, dialogue, cinematography, sound design, and editing choices. Moreover, crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates your interpretation of the film is essential. This thesis will serve as the guiding principle throughout the essay, shaping the analysis and arguments presented. Supporting this thesis requires meticulous attention to detail, as well as the incorporation of evidence from the movie itself, scholarly sources, and critical analysis. Organizing the essay effectively is another challenge. Structuring the analysis in a coherent manner, balancing summary with interpretation, and ensuring a logical flow of ideas can be daunting. Additionally, maintaining a critical stance without veering into subjective opinion or plot summary is vital. Furthermore, addressing counterarguments and potential objections adds complexity to the writing process. Anticipating differing interpretations of the film and providing a nuanced response demonstrates depth of analysis and strengthens the overall argument. Finally, crafting a compelling conclusion that synthesizes the key points of the analysis and leaves a lasting impression on the reader requires finesse. In conclusion, writing a high-quality essay on movie analysis demands a combination of critical thinking, analytical skills, creativity, and effective writing. It is a task that requires dedication, time, and attention to detail to produce a nuanced and insightful analysis. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. • 2. Who Is The Protagonist In The Crucible The Crucible John Proctor in this story is described as a man of his word and for the most part honest in everything he says or is asked to answer. He also has problems of his own to, like not being faithful to his wife at times or mostly at all times do to problems, and also having a secret but not intimate relationship with Abagail Williams. This is why I strongly feel like he is the protagonists of the story because of his failure in his relationship, his guilt because of it, and his redemption at the end of the story. A reason that supports this claim is his secret relationship with Abagail Williams and how she uses that to cause problems within his relationship. The other reason that he is the main protagonists is because of his dying... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I have given you my soul; leave me my name . This shows him saying that he doesn t want to write his name because if was to sign it all he would have is what he believes in and not the thing he has once in his life. He was also done playing this game of lies and sin, so he tears up his confession paper about all the other people. So, like I said he is the protagonist because of what his problems bring out in him but that is not the only thing that shows who he truly is. The other reason he rather choose to hang is so that he doesn t let such an innocent girl like his wife Elizbeth die for his mistakes. He states it very clear when is talking to Mary Warren about the situation and he says (Miller.2.435) My wife will never die for me! I will bring your guts into your mouth but that goodness will not die for me! . Even though he may not be entirely interested or truthful to Elizbeth, he still cared for her and would rather himself die then an innocent woman for him. While he was doing this his wife was supposed to be persuading him even though she knew she couldn t to lie but didn t because she understood his need for redemption. In

Company Background 2.1 Target Market The target market identified by Boost Juice is 18 35 year olds, however they identify their core target to be a health conscious, 25 year old female looking for a healthy alternative to fast food. This specific target ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wright, Flynn and Macdonald (2006) found that young men related health and fitness to being involved in some form of sport, where as for young women health and fitness was a combination of exercise healthy eating habits, body weight and shape. This indicates that young women are more likely to choose a healthier fast food alternative such as Boost Juice than their male counterparts as the men don t consider what food they eat to be as important. An increase in health related information has been widespread across the media; meaning consumers are realizing the importance of healthy eating, but especially those who are most connected, being younger adults (Iverson, Kraft, 2006, Huffington Post). There s been a strong increase in demand for healthy holistic food, especially among women (Advertising age). These trends in health consciousness, combined with a massive shift in the wealth and purchasing power of women means that there is a high demand and purchasing power behind the target market identified by Boost Juice. The purchase made by the target consumer satisfies multiple needs and wants. For example it may satisfy the following needs as identifies by Maslow (1943): Needs: Physiological (food, water) Safety security (health) Self esteem (confidence, self satisfaction) While a Boost Juice will satisfy these needs, many other alternatives would also satisfy the same needs. This is where wants come in, with a want being the specific differences

  • 5. Media Convergence Analysis I thought Heidi A. Mckee had some really interesting material that I had not thought of before on the issue of ethical and legal issues surrounding the convergence of media. As media in today s age is constantly changing, so in order to keep up with the ever evolving media the ethical and legal laws must also evolve with it. Before reading this essay by Mckee, I did not know about the legal and ethical implications of mediaconvergence. So in reading this it was very eye opening to see all the issues associated media. What really stuck out to me was the issues of ethical issues as a teacher who incorporated media into the lessons. As a future teacher, I never thought of having to have students sign consent or release forms for their work if
  • 6. Biology of a Squid Essay Biology of a Squid Squids are among the most varied and unique of all invertebrates. They are mollusks of the Class Cephalopod, along with the nautilus, cuttlefish, and octopus. Squids are highly evolved, and have developed a number of traits uncommon to most other mollusks. Fossil records of cephalopods have dated back the Cambrian Period (about 600 million years ago). Structurally, squids have only small variations of a basic theme common to all cephalopods. They are spherical or cigar shaped with two fins used to stabilize movement when swimming. Ten arms are easily distinguished emerging from near the mouth Eight of these arms each have four rows of suction cups encircled by rings of chitinous (horny) hooks. These suction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Squids (and cephalopods in general) possess several unusual abilities that help them deal with their predators (which range anything from large fish to sperm whales). Their lack of an external shell allows them to squeeze into very tight places, enabling them to conveniently and easily hide from their enemies. When confronted with a dangerous animal away from hiding places, however, squids seem to have a disadvantage when compared to other mollusks with external shells. If attacked, they have no exterior protection. To counter this potential crisis, they have adapted a number of tactics. First, they are capable of temporarily altering the color of their skin, in effect camouflaging themselves. They can shift their appearance from a deep brown color, to a white, or almost transparent quality. Along with this, they are able to slightly change the texture of their skin. This form of camouflage allows the squid to take the form of rocks, seaweed, or other ocean dwelling objects. If a hazardous foe is not fooled by camouflage, the squid can release an ink cloud. The ink cloud has a number of helpful characteristics that can ward off enemies. The cloud initially causes the nearby water to become dark and cloudy, reducing the enemy s visibility and allowing the squid to escape from danger. Some deep sea squids contain bacteria in their ink so that the cloud glows, and scares away harmful rivals.

  • 8. The Scientific Management And Human Relations Organisational behaviour is influenced by two main theories, scientific management and human relations. The scientific management approach developed by Frederick Winslow Taylor is one of the earliest ideological approaches which attempted to explain a management process scientifically. The main goal was to find the techniques to improve production efficiency of workers scientifically. On the contrary, human relations studied by Elton Mayo studied the social interactions within a working environment. Through his studies, he found that social relationships motivates workers at their workplaces (Daft Samson 2014; Miller Form, 1964).Based on the two approaches, this paper looks into the assumptions made on workers; the path managers should take to maximise the efficiency of workers and lastly, my choice between these two approaches as a worker. Scientific management assumes the economic man concept where a worker acts rationally to protect their own interests. In this case, the workers interest lies in money. Therefore, the worker does what is asked of them for a better wage. For example, Schimdt did as instructed for a pay of $1.85 per hour which is higher than the average of $1.15 per hour. By following the instructions given, he managed to load 47 tons a day instead of the average of 12 and a half tons (Miller Form 1964). This signifies that by following instructions, the efficiency of a worker will increase as long as they are rewarded highly. Using the economic

It s not just want you do to show that you are brave, it s also what you say. Tim O Brien shows readers how his characters in stories, that he s written based on his own experience, display different acts of bravery. Vietnam literature proves that Vietnam was bravery. Courage is another word for bravery, it s a synonym. O Brien uses the word courage in different parts of If I Die in a Combat Zone. He claims that, Courage is nothing to laugh at, not if it is proper courage and exercised by men who know what they do is proper. Proper courage is wise courage (Page 130). Though they both experienced hardships, the difference in gender played a role in how their enslavement was endured. These different experiences influenced different tones. In Chapter three of Incidents, Jacobs tone is emotional, hopeless and depressing. She writes But to the slave mother New Year s day comes laden with peculiar sorrows. While Grimes targeted anyone willing or curious enough to listen, Jacobs specifically targeted white, Christian women. The tone she used was critical and emotional. The sentence He tried his utmost to corrupt the pure principles my grandmother had instilled. would provoke emotion from female Christian readers, because it goes against their beliefs. She wants her audience to think and fully understand the hardships she faced, therefore she makes her tone critical. She engages the reader by saying, He told me I was his property; that I must subject to his will in all things. My soul revolted against the mean tyranny. But where could I turn to for protection? The sentence is shortly followed up by her stating why she feels trapped. The mistress is of no help to a slave girl, she is jealous and angry with her. This promotes the thoughts and feelings of the slave girl and make the reader criticize themselves. While Grimes on the other hand stayed objective. On page 78, Grimes says after receiving a severe beating, I had before anticipated this, for I knew he could not do without me: all he wanted of me, to set me at liberty, was for me to ask his pardon, and promise never to ask him to sell me again. Even when he endured severe beating and imprisonment he stayed emotionless. Both authors shared their compelling stories about their personal hand in slavery. The main differences between these marriages are the motives of entering a polygamous marriage. Mariama BГў speaks powerfully against polygamy in her novel , however the differences among these polygamous marriages is a good tool of understanding Senegalese culture. Coleridge describes him as the marvelous Boy, the sleepless Soul that perished in his pride. Chatterton s early death is also said to be a Romantic foreshadowing of the early deaths of all three of the second generation of Romantic poets (King 13 15). There were enough people to create our own city. The walls were so thin that I could smell the fried foods, and hear the neighbors yelling at their kids from the next apartment. William Blake s Songs Of Innocence And Experience William Blake s Songs of Innocence and Experience, printed in 1794, represents the world as it is envisioned by what he calls two contrary states of the human soul (Greenblatt, 1452). This collection of poetry is accompanied by pictures, which create a mutually reliant relationship that allows for complete understanding of Blake s works. To read a Blake poem without the pictures is to miss something important: that relationship is an aspect of the poem s argument (1452). Overall, Blake s works in Songs of Innocence and Experience provides a greater understanding into human life. Through poetry, Blake juxtaposes the innocence of childhood with the corruption of adulthood. Thus, his work allows the reader to see situations from a double sided lens of innocence and then of experience. These two perspectives, known as the two contrary states of the human soul , are independent and each poem is accompanied by another poem; the poem Infant Joy is paired with Infant Sorrow and the meek Lamb reveals its other aspect of divinity in the flaming, wrathful Tyger (1456). In Songs of Innocence, published in 1789, celebrates the innocence and untainted nature of childhood but it also doubles as a warning to adults. It warns them that the corruption of society and culture is to come and in Songs of Experience, a state of being that encompasses the loss of childhood vitality and corruption caused by social and political influence. The move to Colorado needed to happen by the end of April and because of the time constraints transferring into a management role was an unrealistic goal. I started networking and followed the capstone project guidelines. In the class lecture for week 8 the University Of Buffalo School Of Managementprovides suggestions for questions to ask during an exploratory interview, Setting up appointments with all the friends, professional acquaintances and corporate bigwigs you can is just the first step. More important is knowing what to say once you arrive. Since wasting contacts time is unacceptable, you should prepare an agenda before each meeting. Decide what you would like to find out from your contact, and then prepare questions to elicit that information (40 Questions to Ask, 2015, para. 1). After reaching out to former co workers I was able to get two hiring managers contact information. One was for the mortgage department and the other overlapped with retail banking where I could step down from my current role. From that point forward I knew I needed to make an important decision and decide what part of the bank I wanted to transfer too. I took the initiative by reaching out to the Sales Manager in Mortgage. However, the media must share blame for failing to provide notice of the genocide. In remote places of the world where significant information intelligence is not abundant, the news business is highly relied upon to act as a system of warning; in Rwanda, the media did not fulfill this role. Between 1976 and 1978, a Marxist government in Ethiopia killed approximately five hundred thousand of the the country s citizens in a a bloodbath called the Red Terror. The sweeper clearly implies that God and his priest and king are to blame, because they make up a heaven of our misery .(Line11 12) The question that comes to mind after reading and analyzing the third stanza is one I think most would assume. How could those whom have such a great standing in faith run off, leave a child to finish the job that has been tasked out for him/her to do; and forget them, proceeding to go give praise to God? It is clear that the parents seek acceptance from the church and if putting their child on the back burner is what it takes that is the way they are choosing. The Link Between Anxiety And Depression Research Topic: Anxiety and depression are often linked, experts say, as dealing with long term anxiety can lead to depression, or one may feel anxious about their battle with depression. In order to talk about the link between Anxiety and Depression, there is a word that must be discussed: comorbidity. According one paper, Comorbidity may imply either the co occurrence of two or more disorders in an individual at a given time, or the manifestation of multiple disorders during the lifetime of the individual. (Seligman and Ollendick, pg. 125) Two disorders may be comorbid when there is symptom overlap; when one underlying construct is split into two separate disorders ; when disorders share risks, or when one disorder causes or increases the risk of developing the second disorder. (S and o, pg. 125) People with comorbid disorders are, typically more severely impaired than children with either disorder alone. (1) However, there has only been a limited amount of research done on individuals with comorbid disorders, as comorbidity often serves to exclude people from entry. This paper with specifically discuss and expand upon the comorbidity between anxiety and depression. Anxiety and depression are highly comorbid disorders. In a study done about the relationship between anxiety and depression, researchers found a group of 106 children who struggled with DSM III diagnosed anxiety disorder. Positive And Negative Influence Of Globalization Google: The Impact and Positive and Negative Influence of Globalization According to the famous economist and philosopher Adam Smith, Christopher Columbus s discovery of the Americas in the search of spice was one of the most important events that led to the globalization big bang (O Rourke Williamson, 2000). The discovery led to a more interacted and integrated world through trade, cultural infusion, colonization, and the exchange of ideas and goods not only in the 1400s but also in the world today. Globalization played a huge role in forming the world today. It demonstrated its power through both positive and negative impacts on the society, culture, economy, politics, environment, and lastly, religion. The success of the transnational corporation, Google, was one of many evidences that revealed the influence of globalization. Ever since Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, it grew exponentially over the last 19 years. Today, Google employed more than 60,000 workers in 50 different nations and influenced the lives of billions of people across the globe. The company launched hundreds of products from Google Search and Chrome to Google Home (Google, n.d.). So, how does Google relate to globalization? As a transnational corporation, Google demonstrated the importance and positive and negative influence of globalization through labor, global governance, and trade. Utilitarianism is defined as the belief that actions are right if it promotes happiness or pleasure. To understand this theory, let us look at an example otherwise known as the Trolley Problem. Utilitarianism is primarily nonpartisan which at first seems like a utopian mindset in comparison to the world today, but at deeper thought it gets increasingly more disturbing. Like the example stated earlier, it would be terrible to have to choose between your mother or a stranger in a dire situation. However, emotional connection has no meaning in this ideology. The theory also has a flaw with outcomes always justifying the means. This means that it doesn t matter how one achieves happiness or pleasure, as long as it s the final outcome. For example, the Black Plague was a terrible epidemic to have crossed the nation, but the outcomes, such as the decrease in overpopulation and the advancements in medicine, made it seem like it was what needed because of the positive results. Lastly, this theory has a knack for lacking in rights meaning if the majority does not care for a minority and wants to kick them out of a certain location, Utilitarianism will defend the majority since it will have the highest amount of happiness or pleasure. Though Utilitarianism has many controversial factors, it also has respectable points as
