Textual Analysis Beowulf
Ms. Dawson, this poem is getting good a little too good. Lol. Well, Beowulf decided
to return a favor to King Hrothgar by coming to fight the big coward Grendel. Lines 94
96 supports my idea of Beowulf wasn t afraid of nothing or nobody. He could have been
in the king s position, but he chose not too for the simplest facts that he wasn t next in
line. Although he was the strongest, he wanted to do what was ethical. Beowulfdecided to
take 14 of his best men because he knew they were his ride or die. They weren t going
to get scared and back down. His men weren t cowards. Line 111 and 120 supports my
decision to where they stayed strapped and ready for who or whatever. In line 115 118,
it describes their sign from God whether or not they should go and fight this battle or to
turn the boat around and go home.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sometimes I m not afraid to ask God to send me a sign. I need that sign. Life gets hard,
and I need God to show me the way. Beowulf and his men received that sign when they
traveled in a smooth ride. Line 153 helps to build the structure of the epic poem and
helps to create the scenery of when Beowulf meets one of King Hrothgar guards. I
started to see Beowulf being a cocky character. He s steady trying to reel the guard in
to let him through the gate. He gave the guard his father s name that carriers a
reputation to help lead him into the gate, but the guard got a little attitude towards the
way Beowulf was answering him. I personally don t blame him. Beowulf even
insulated King Hrothgar s men. He didn t want them to help because they must wasn t
doing nothing for twelve long dreary years. Why should he need their help? Foolish, I
know. Beowulf wanted them to be about not to talk about. His men could talk all the
noise they wanted and still be about. In life, they tell you not to talk stuff you can t back
A Comparison of the Establishment of Genre and Narrative...
A Comparison of the Establishment of Genre and Narrative in Two Crime Films
In this essay I will compare how genre and narrative are established in 2 crime films.
The main iconography of this genre is fairly easy to identify; props such as guns, latex
gloves, sirens, rain are used frequently in Hollywood crime films such as Se7en
(1995). The conventions of this genre are also fairly easy to recognise: detectives with
long trench coats, the killer being the least likely character, huge urban settings and
signifiers like dead bodies have successfully been used in films like Training Day (2001)
and Along Came a Spider (2001). The crime genre has been most successful in creating
hybrid and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first ever crime film was director D.W. Griffith s The Musketeers of Pig Alley
(1912) which examined urban violence and police corruption. Hollywood has continued
to make crime films, many sub genres emerged from this genre; heist, juvenile
delinquent, gangster and detective.
The two films Ocean s Eleven and The Bone Collector are both crime films. Ocean s
Eleven was released in the UK on the 15th February 2002. It was directed by Steven
Soderbergh and produced by Warner Brothers, which suggests high production values.
This film s cast contains several A list stars such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia
Roberts, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia and Bernie Mac. This film does not clearly have
evidence of typecasting but George Clooney appears to be typecast to starring in mostly
comedy films. This film does employ comedy elements but essentially this is a caper
/heist film. George Clooney and Brad Pitt usually play the leading roles, although not
often as criminals like in Ocean s Eleven. It is not unusual to sympathise with criminals
in mainstream films as well known stars usually play the criminals. As there were top,
celebrated directors, studios, stars and the use of hybrid in this film, it is fair to say
that this film was a box office hit. It was huge in the USA and the UK and because of
its critical response, Ocean s Twelve
Marquis Color Test Paper
As chemist with forensic case work and field experience, I know low cost and low
tech methods of analysis are in demand. While such methods are typically presumptive
in nature, they play a vital role in both lab and field analysis. Presumptive tests allow
users to triage samples for confirmatory analysis, saving time and expense. Whether a
crime scene, combat zone, or natural disaster site, presumptive assays influence
command decisions. In technology deficient areas, presumptive assays may be the
totality of the analysis available. Most presumptive tests are color tests, providing a
visual cue to the user as to the presence of a particular compound (1 2). While color
tests have their benefits, a big drawback is the false positive (3), i.e. the erroneous
compound is here . My research focuses on minimizing false positives, false negatives,
and generally improving the selectivity of color tests without sacrificing their ease of use
and low cost.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This test is routinely employed in the field, usually as an all inclusive kit like
Safariland s NarcoPouch shown in Figure 1 (4). A positive result is obtained for morphine
(DEA Schedule II), codeine (DEA Schedule II/III), heroin(DEA Schedule I), and over
the counter (OTC) aspirin. The OTC result is a false positive, as a true positive is a
scheduled opiate. Colors noted by users to describe each compound s test include pink,
pink to purple, red purple, and magenta. Given that the accepted reaction mechanism
involves the dimerization of opiates (5), it is conceivable that each of these compound s
test results are a different tint or shade of red (i.e. different pinks) as they correspond to
different structures. The challenge for users in discriminating between compounds are
the similarity of resulting colors and limits of the user s color acuity. Different
America s The Great Melting Pot
America the great melting pot. Some have argued that the melting pot analogy is
inaccurate. Instead America is like a tossed salad. A person can see all the individual
ingredients that make up the salad. People will argue of what can go into a salad and
what cannot go into just as people will argue about the place of certain groups with
America. Some find disgust in certain groups of people and praise other. The situation is
dynamic. The way people interact with groups are constantly changing and morphing due
to different influences. Antisemitismis one of the ways people interact with the tossed
salad that is America. Antisemitism in United Statesis on a decline because other groups
are being used as scapegoats instead, Jews are not seen to pose a threat, a strong
Holocaust remembrance, and the hatred of African Americans continues to be the
predominate form of hate in the American context.
The FBI website lays out the numbers. The site has hate crime statistics up to 2014. In
2014 there were 609 anti Jewish biased hate incidents compared to 1,621 Anti Black or
African American incidents. The 609 number is down almost 300 from the 887 Anti
Jewish incidents in 2010. Hate Incidents overall decreased from 2010 to 2014. In 2010
there were 6,628 incidents. In 2014 there were 5,479. Although hate crimes overall have
decreased, Anti Jewish incidents are decreasing faster in terms of percentage. From 2010
to 2014 Anti Jewish incidents decreased approximately 31 percent.
Language And Communication Impairments Are Primary...
Language and communication impairments are primary features of Autism Spectrum
Disorders (ASD) and are the some of the earliest emerging behavioral markers of ASD.
Research with typically developing populations highlights the importance of both infants
and maternal gesture use in infants early language development (Talbott and Flusberg,
2015, p.1). Investigations of infant siblings of children with autism, who are at increased
genetic risk, have shown delays in language and gesture production during their first year
of life; these children are later diagnosed with ASD. Therefore, due to the commonness of
language and gesture difficulties amongst high risk siblings and the impact of language
on functional outcomes, it is important... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other infants were placed in a low risk control group (LRC) if they had at least one
sibling with typical development. The development of these reference siblings was
determined by their scores on the Social Communication Questionnaire answered by
their parents. HRA infants had siblings who scored at least 15 and LRC infants
siblings scored less than 12. HRA infant siblings also met diagnostic criteria on the
Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) or were diagnosed by an expert
clinician. Infants were seen at 12 and 18 months as part of a larger ongoing project. At
the 12 month visit, research staff administered the Communication and Symbolic
Behavior Scale (CSBS), the Mullen Scales of Early Learning (MSEL), and infants and
parents had 10 minutes of free play with infant appropriate toys (MC). At the 18 month
visit, staff ran the MSEL and the ADOS. CSBS is a semi structured interaction between
an infant and examiner designed to assess the infant s communicative and symbolic
behavior ranges; in the context of the present study, it was used for scoring infant gesture
competency. MSEL is a standardized developmental assessment for infants from birth
through 68 months that measures skills in Gross Mother and four cognitive domains:
Visual reception, Fine Motor, Expressive and Receptive Language. ADOS is a semi
structured play based interaction used to assess participants communicative and
Clinton Proposal
The Clinton proposal was an attempt to reform America s broken health care system.
On September 22, 1993, President Clinton revealed his plan to Congress and to the
world. What he did not take in to account was the actors and stakeholders involved and
how they would affect the political feasibility of the Clinton Healthcare becoming a
law. Perhaps, if he had used the Delphi technique a systematic approach to assessing
political feasibility that typically relies on surveys of stakeholders, but can also include
surveys of experts who ae not direct stakeholders (McLaughlin McLaughlin, 2014
p.281), he would have known the opposition he faced and the difficult task they lay
ahead. The stakeholders and actors listed below all have their own motives... Show more

There are many factors and components that can influence each stage of the political
process such as actors, stakeholders, party agendas, and the economy all which can alter
solving the problem or passing a policy. With that being said there is not a formula for
analyzing political feasibility but, through the use of various strategies such as the
Delphi technique, force field analysis and mapping that can be used to assess the
political feasibility and anticipate the likely outcome of the policy
The Cyclic Innovation Model ( Cim )
Q1. Use the Cyclic Innovation Model (Fig 1.9, pg 30) figure to illustrate the innovation
process in this case and provide a brief description?
According to The cyclic innovation model (CIM) is a model of innovation process that a
company adapts to introduce new products and a combination that is backed by the use
of innovation so that they are able to evolve within the current market. According to
(Trott, Paul 2008) The most important feature of the cyclic innovation model is not the
chain but the circle of innovations build on innovations. The Cyclic Innovation Model
has four processes, which are as follows product creation, technological development,
scientific research, market transition, and entrepreneurship that at the center of these four
main processes.
Natural and life sciences Cycle: Most innovations are applications of an already existing
technology for instance Gore Shield was the only radical innovation in this field for
decades. According to (Trott, Paul 2008) In the case Gore Tex new science led to the
discovery of ePTFE and the fluoropolymer research hard infrastructure knowledge.
Intergrated engineering cycle: Gore has much to develop other products overtime the
time with the use of innovations. Gore have managed develop the Multi Tet Calbe and
the Gore Tex through the use of the PTFE.
Differentiated services cycle: During this cycle all further applications must be able to
adapt to the market needs. In Gore case the innovation is adjusted to address
Essay On The Bush Economy
The Bush Economy During the the two presidential terms of George W. Bush (2001
2009), America experienced many events that left it changed dramatically. For example,
in Bush s first year as president alone, America witnessed 9/11, a corporate accounting
scandal, and a recession. The economy reflected these events, leaving it in a turbulent
state. The George W. Bush administration addressed these economic issues, by
introducing revolutionizing policies that left consequences for America to cope with for
years to come. During the Bush years, the Bush Administration pushed a revolutionary
economic policy, that had major impacts. This economic policy was a series of
revolutionary acts, that set the economy on the course to what it was when George W.

In 2001, Congress passed the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of
2001 (EGTRRA), which lowered the income tax rate for all brackets, increased the
child tax credit, and reduced the marriage penalty . These changes were accelerated by
the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 (JGTRRA), which also
increased exemption for the Alternative Minimum Tax, and lowered income taxes on
dividends and capital gains. EGTRRA and JGTRRA both cuts taxes dramatically,
totaling in about $1.6 trillion in tax cuts over the ten years that followed, makin it one
of the largest tax cuts in U.S. history. Response to the cuts were mixed with Alan
Greenspan saying tax cuts could work, but they must be offset by spending cuts , while
researchers at The Heritage Foundation claimed that the tax cuts could eliminate the
U.S. national debt by FY 2010. Alan Greenspan turned out to be correct, as the national
deficit increased dramatically from a surplus of $128.23 billion when Bush took office to
a deficit of $458.55 billion, a difference of $586.78
The Effects Of Caffeine On Anaerobic Performance
The Effects of Caffeine on Anaerobic Performance
Introduction
Caffeine is a natural stimulant which is commonly used in sport for increasing heart
rate via the nervous system. Anaerobic performance is when an exercise or activity is
done in limited volumes of oxygen this can be examples such as jumping, sprinting and
the overall effects it has on sports. There are very little articles in which write about the
effects of caffeine on anaerobic performance in which most articles talk about 3mg/kg,
however, there is very little research on the effects of using lower dosage on anaerobic
performance. The main purpose of this text will determine the effect of caffeine on
anaerobic respiration and the effect it has on performance
Discussion
Jump performance is a form of anaerobic performance that is used in sports. Caffeine
has shown to improve anaerobic performance by increasing muscle power and agility
on volleyball players Del Coso et al. (2014). The study suggested that caffeine
increased in volleyball skills required such as jump height by 3mg/kg, however, the
study didn t measure lower dosage to see if it will still have the same effect also Abian
et al. (2014) found that caffeine had a significant effect on jump performance in
badminton players. Both trials support the effects of caffeine on anaerobic respiration.
Both trials underwent a double blind trial in which both volunteers and experimenters
had no effects on the results, this allows the results to be more reliable.
Essay on Violence in the Media
Violence in the Media
Media is all around us. Everywhere we look, there is someone, somewhere trying to
communicate his or her thoughts to us. And with the new technologies in media, this
message is stronger than ever. Almost every home in America has a television or radio in
it. The messages that are portrayed through these mediums are unmistakable; buy me,
listen to me, think what I think. With all of these messages spinning around there are
bound to be some bad seeds. Violence has become an important issue, something that
has become almost part of our daily lives. So often we lose sight of just how serious
violent messages in media can affect our daily lives. Violence in the media has become
so much more accepted in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This sometimes has news teams going to extreme measures to capture the most graphic
footage. The viewers like the most graphic footage, so news teams are always trying to
get it. The cyclecreates the news to be very violent and sometimes too violent or graphic
for television.
Studies have shown that young children are often exposed to the violence of the real
world through the news. By being young, the children are often with their parents and
when the parents are watching the news, the children are also seeing the images. Since a
child?s mind retains information, the images are perceived by the child and the child
then becomes desensitized and is accepting of violent material. When the children grow
up, they are already very accustom to violence, and so very graphic images to not
Affect them. With society creating the news, and also watching the news, the cycle is
made. The people watch and want the most specific detail of the story and the news
teams do everything they can to give that to the viewers. Without the viewers there
would be no audience and therefore people would just be unaware of what goes on in
the world. This is why the news is important. The violence in today?s world is what
people see because that is what goes on.

Free Trade And The Trade
Free trade is a policy that is followed by international markets in which those countries
governments do not restrict imports or exports. Free trade generally includes the trade
of goods without taxes or tariffs, free access to markets, trade agreements, and the
inability to interfere with markets through a government enacted monopoly or oligopoly
power. This paper will look at how free trade came about and the unequal benefit
between nations in the system of free trade. Figure 1 shows the transition to free trade,
before free trade came about there was trade barriers between countries. Following that
there was treaties and agreements between countries that started to weaken the trade
barriers before they disappeared. The trade... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the next box we see treaties that reduce trade barriers. Along with those treaties
there is trade liberalization due to the MFN and other institutions. The last thing we see
in the second box is trade liberalization expansion also due to the MFN. All of this lead
to the development of the Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLA) the purpose of
the MLA, is to promise joint credit of accredited certification amongst parties to the
MLA, and then support of qualified certification in several markets created on only one
certification. In short it adds to the freedom of world trade by removing technical
barriers to free trade. Some historical examples of the transition into free trade would be
the change from mercantilism to the 19th century free trade system. It started Britain s
unilateral liberalization including the abolition of the corn law, the Cobden Chevalier
treaty, and the Imperial preference in 1935. An example of the MFN would be the Jay
Treaty in 1794, the United States gave the most favored nation trading position to Britain.
Along with the Jay Treaty the World Trade Organizationthat was created in 1994,
requires members to grant one another most favored nation status. The expansion of free
trade started in Britain. In the U.K. free trade developed into an essential belief
practiced by the 1840s. Thanks to the Treaty of Nanking, China then opened five treaty
ports to world trade around 1843. The
Race Horse Research Paper
The first motion picture that is considered as the first editing is the Race Horse
created by Eadweard Muybridge in 1878. This was created by arranging twelve
cameras along a track at Stanford s estate and as a horse sped by, it tripped wires
connected to the cameras, which took several photos in a fast succession. When the
pictures were developed in the frames and put together it created an illusion of motion.
But Muybridge did not stop there, he kept taking hundreds of photographs of people
and animals in motion and displayed them in lectures and also invented a device to
display them in called zoopraxiscope . The zoopraxiscope projected those images rapidly
in sequence onto a screen and once you spin it, it produces the illusion of motion.
Historic Life Of Indigenous People And Europeans
Historic Life of Indigenous People and Europeans Europeans were the first to travel to
the New World, where they came to discover a diversity of Native American People
living there. These indigenous people had unique languages and beliefs. Europeans
observed the distinct people and began to wonder how they migrated to this New World.
It was not until Hernan Cortes arrival in Mexicothat new empires began to immerge
onto this new society. The first main Mesoamerican civilizations were the Olmecs.
They were first heard of residing in the Southern regions of Mexico in which they lived
in unique organized villages. These villages were effective in their crops which included
corn, beans, chile peppers and cotton. The villages were effective in a way that everyone
had an important role in helping each other out to survive. Two significant cities during
the Olmec history were the establishment of San Lorenzo and La Venta. These cities
were political, economic and religious centers. Olmecs had a distinct lifestyle, such as
their earliest inventions such as the Mesoamerican ball game and tortillas. The Aztecs
and Mayan civilizations groups shared Olmec backgrounds. Mayans possessed kingdoms
that had authority over the majority of populations. They were talented in inventing
pottery and calendars. According to Susan Schroeder, ...Most Mesoamericans had
worked out for themselves a nearly exact calendar system with a 52 year count based on
astronomical observations and mathematical

Arjun True Characters In The Mahabharata
Arjuna was a very true character in the Mahabharata he was one of the most important

He was known for his steadfastness and single mindedness in pursuing his goals. His

While he was in the heavens he displeased Urvashi, the heavenly nymph which made
her very angry. She cursed him out of anger to turn into a eunuch for the thirteenth year

disguise. Apart from archery, he also excelled in the arts of dancing, singing and acting
which enormously helped the Pandavas when they had to stay in the court of Virat in
total disguise as a part of their agreement with the Kauravas in the thirteenth year of their
exile. Since they were in the thirteenth year of their exile Arjuna was now a eunuch and
acted as a dance teacher for the royal family, especially Uttara, the daughter of king
Virat. At the end of the one year stay, he helped king Virat by fighting a battle with the
Kauravas who invaded his kingdom. After realizing that the five people who working
in his court were indeed Pandavas in disguise, king Virat offered to marry his daughter
to Abhimanyu the son of Arjuna in return for the services done by the brothers, a
marriage that proved important in the time after the war period as their son was the

easier to implement and less expensive as compared to extrinsic rewards. In this article,
the authors stress on the important of both extrinsic and intrinsic rewards in motivating
employees towards excellent work performance and achieving organization objectives.
The authors believe employees are not only need monetary rewards but also recognition

agent manufacturing plays a vital role to achieve agility in the system. (Yeung, W. 2012)
in job shop floor the project scheduling technique provides the dynamic and unique way
of dispatching the jobs if there is any variabilities in the manufacturing system, resources,
production disturbances and irregular arrival of products. The main emphasis is
designing the network schedules which will be applicable to be implemented in a
competitive operating condition. These software scheduling tools will be able to
represent the manufacturing tasks, sub tasks, work system and people involved. (Wang,
2015) using simulation tools, the performance of a (simulated) multi agent manufacturing
system under particular operating conditions can be analyzed in terms of. Simulation
models are developed based on current system to eliminate bottlenecks, to prevent under
or over utilization of resources, and to optimize system performance.
Project Scheduling by Simulation Modelling Technique
Multi objective optimization model was applied to minimize the bottleneck machine
makespan and the total product tardiness for machine tool in a job shop and Particle
swarm optimization (PSO) is been used to
Literature Review On Quantity Theory Of Money
Chapter 2: Literature Review
2.0 Introduction
In this chapter, explains the relevant theories for the research. On the other hand,
investigate the effects of how the independent variables affect the dependent variable. In
addition, this chapter also includes a proposed conceptual framework, theoretical models
and hypothesis development.
2.1 Review of the Literature
2.1.1 Dependent Variable Return on Assets (ROA)
Return on assets (ROA) is to measure the value of company s total assets to indicate
company s profitability. ROA also gives an idea as to how efficient management is at
using its assets to generate earnings.
Formula of ROA: (Investopedia, 2017)
ROA = Net Income / Total Assets x 100%
Assets are either financed by equity or debt. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In accordance to this theory, the purpose of money is only for settling payments for
current transactions.
MV = PT ..................................................................... (i)
Where,
M = money supply
V = Velocity of Circulation
P = Average Price Level
T = Volume of Transactions of Goods and Services
Both MV and PT are identical to each other and it also measure the total value of the
transactions within the period. In other words, the value of goods sold is equal to the
total amount of money paid.
Keynesian Theory of Money (Keynes, 1935)
Retaining cash in hand is important, according to The General Theory of Employment,
Interest and Money . Cash is held for several reasons, such as speculative motive,
precautionary motive and transaction motive.
Speculative motive:
In order to make good use of beneficial exchange rate fluctuations and bargain purchase,
cash is withheld at an appropriate level.
Precautionary motive:
It is necessary to maintain a safety level of cash which acts as financial reserve when a
company goes into liquidation.

Ice Cream Sundae
Introduction
ATTENTION GETTER: Can you describe the perfect cure for a blazing hot summer
day? Upon hearing the phrase so sinfully delicious, what sensations tend to stir within
your body? Throughout America, a common response typically emerges: I scream, you
scream, we all scream for ice cream!
Introduce Self: Hi, my name is Maria Papadopoulos, and with summer rapidly
approaching, there proves no greater treat than indulging in a home made ice cream
sundae.
THESIS: In fact, by following three simple steps, one can concoct the perfect ice cream
sundae.
Main Point One: First of all, one must decide upon a base, a flavor that will accentuate
the delightful taste of this treat.
Main Point Two: Secondly, the smothering of a rich... Show more content on

TRANSITION: Upon pouring a rich sauce over the ice cream base, one can then enjoy
embellishing the sundae at the very top.
III. As the finishing touches to the creation of an ice cream sundae, an individual must
emphasize the extravagance of such a dessert through the application of tasty toppings.
A. Part of the beauty of a sundae lies in the notion of its having no restraint, for
embellishment options remain practically endless.
1. With its soft, dreamy peaks, whipped cream provides one with a fluffy effect.
2. At the same time, other toppings such as crushed oreos, sprinkles, nuts, and bright red
maraschino cherries together complete the perfect ice cream sundae.
B. Although it seems as if an ice cream sundae emerges as rather costly with its various
toppings and other ingredients, a home made sundae proves far less expensive than one
from an actual ice cream store.
1. I would like you to listen to this figure from a USA Today article in July of 2001. The
price of milk fat, which exists as the prime component of ice cream, has increased by
nearly seventy percent!
2. Surely, even we can relate to this huge price increase here in Champaign Urbana, for
a cup of plain ice cream smaller than the size of my palm costs around two dollars at the
Union.
3. For this very reason, it actually proves wise to create an ice cream sundae to one s own
liking at
Examples Of Ukuthwala
The Conflict of Cultures
Culture is the joining of ideas, customs and the social behaviour of people. The right to
culture has a significant importance in protecting and allowing for the development of
the beliefs of minority groups. However, as explained by Dana Irina, the existence of
political and legal cultures may cause friction and subsequently contradict with some of
the individual cultures . Therefore, using the example of Ukuthwala, the discussion of
which culture will prevail should arise.
Ukuthwala is an amaXhosa custom whereby a man and his peers kidnap a girl with the
sole purpose of encouraging her family to begin marriage negotiations. In the past, girls
were required to be of legal of legal ages and the kidnapper incurred ... Show more

Malthus Theory And The Earth s Theory Of Overpopulation
The Earth s population is growing rapidly leading to a state where human population
exceeds the Earth s carrying capacity. Thomas Robert Malthus was the first economist to
start the theory of population and the idea of overpopulation. He wrote his views and
explanation about population and its consequences in his essay on Principles of
Populationwhich was published in 1798. The book explained the relationship between
food and population, and their growth patterns. His views on the theory of overpopulation
and its impact influenced many political economists and earned economics the label of
the dismissal science . Malthus was concerned by the condition of poverty in the British
cities during his time and the increase of population in the industrializing societies. The
main idea of Malthus theory was to maintain balance between the population growthand
the food for human existence, as the human population tends to grow quicker than the
power in the earth to produce subsistence.
Malthus was the first economists to present the views and ideas on the matter of
population growth and its effect on food and the surroundings. According to Malthus
Theory, human population grows exponentially at a geometric rate i.e. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and
so on, doubling the number at each time period, whereas food production grow in much
slower rate than the population, which grows at an arithmetic rate i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, and so
on. Thus, Malthus shows that population grows much faster than the
Mortgage Refinancing Myths
Mortgage rates have been at an all time low for many years and while they ve gone up a
bit recently, they are still historically low. This has led to masses of homeowners
scrambling to refinance their mortgages. The reason so many homeowners have waited
to refinance their mortgage is because there are so many mortgagerefinancing myths out
there. That s why we re going to help you wade through the information and dispel those
mortgage refinancing myths, which will help you make an educated decision about
whether or not refinancing your home is the right decision for you and your situation.
Here are the top nine mortgage refinancing myths that keep so many homeowners from
taking advantage of these historically low interestrates.

Wouldn t It Be Better for Me to Invest My Money Rather Than Using It to Refinance My
Mortgage?
Investing is all about making money, but so is refinancing your mortgage in a
roundabout way. Smart investors don t put all their eggs in one basket. That s why
refinancing your mortgage is a good idea. If you refinance your mortgage, you will have
more money to invest. And if you are reinvesting for a shorter term, but a higher monthly
payment, then you will be able to pay off your mortgage sooner. That means once your
mortgage is paid off, you can take that money and invest the entire amount. Additionally,
paying on a mortgage doesn t come with any risk like investing in the stock market does.
Another way to look at it is by comparing how much money you would make if you
had invested your money rather than using it to refinance your mortgage. Then
compare that to what you would save if you had used your money for mortgage
refinancing. Once you have those two numbers, you will also have a clear picture as
to which route is best for you. Of course this is not an exact science, because there s no
way you can predict how much you will make if you invest your money. However, you
can use your best guess based on the current market and hope for the
A Surreal Moment Of My Surprise
A Surreal Moment
My heart was pounding, the ballroom was silent and there I was standing in the top
two on the Miss Teen USA stage. All of my hard work and dedication had paid off in
that moment. As I was standing there hand in hand with Miss California Teen, I felt
like I had been there before. I had dreamed about this moment but never expected it to
really happen. Strangely, I had a sense of peace I knew something big was about to
happen, and that my life was about to change. The crown was placed on my head, tears
ran down my face, and I took my first walk as Miss Teen USA. It all started when I was
fourteen years old and after much encouragement from others I decided to compete in the
Miss Louisiana Teen USA pageant. As the youngest contestant, I felt I was at a
disadvantage but decided to do it for the experience. To my surprise, I was crowned
the youngest ever Miss Louisiana Teen USA in October of my freshman year of high
school. I was now qualified to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA and had ten
months to prepare while also representing the state of Louisiana at numerous charity
events. There was much more preparation than just getting on stage in front of
thousands of people in a beautiful gown. I had to learn how to do my own makeup and
hair, work on interview skills, have an evening gown and swimsuit routine and be
prepared to answer an on stage question which was my greatest fear. Being a high school
freshman and juggling
The Day You Got A s Analysis
It s good to see you got A s. It sounds kind of harsh that you got grounded for a month,
you shouldn t be back chatting other people though, but then again that is part of
being young and impetuous and could actually be a positive in terms of Christian
apologetics later on. Having to do an essay on grammar later on as well the as
potentially end up with detention if you fail the essay is just mean. :( oh I didn t get
grounded for back chatting I got it for getting 61 detentions in one school year, I was
hoping the glowing comments from Miss would have detracted from that minor
statistic lol, my dad homed into it like Miss homes into my bad grammar. I try not to
backchat adults, but that does not go for the boys at school! I have completed the
essay ready for the beginning of term, I will get an A for it as I have got Lillian to check
it for me, she is the one you go to if you need your grammar checking, her dad and
mum are into poetry, so I think she is encouraged to write too. Alice was the one back
chatting Miss I wouldn t dare lol, I had just come back from the centre and I was upset...

spoke up for me, Miss told her to be quiet and Alice made a further comment to her,
that was her first yellow card, one of the boys had my picture on his phone and was
showing another boy, I completely lost it, I felt I had no control over anything to do
with me, Miss sent me to the isolation room, and Alice said that she made all the boys
bring their phones to her as she wanted all pictures of me removed, unfortunately Alice
s bf had my picture on his phone too and Alice wanted to know why, Miss told her to sit
down and be quiet , apparently she back chatted Miss again, big mistake lol, it was a

Forensic Anthropology
A cross disciplinary study would need to be an in depth look at a subject matter that
other professions can help build on. I would like to see patterns for disease leading up
to the infamous black death of the fourteenth century in Europe and then what the
patterns looked like as it began to spread across medium sized villages through
England. To do this correctly for either part I would need an idea of how the villages in
question operated on a normal basis without the threat of a seemingly unstoppable
outbreak of black death. The main component of this would to gather information on the
villages in a certain area of England during the thirteenth century and this would put my
own historian skills to the test. After I acquired this information... Show more content on

These people study diseases and several aspects of how they develop and spread
throughout populations. This would also constitute getting a biologist involved to
understand the spread of disease and how it affects populations. The patterns that
would be needed to watch how the black death moved and to understand its inner
workings would require an ecological professional as well. These people look at how
diseases are intertwined with human and non human hosts. The biological field would
be quite necessary in understanding the diseases present before the black death comes
through and the plague itself to see how it came together to be one of the most horrific
outbreaks to ever be explored in human history. The final group that should be
consulted is those from an economist s point of view. It would be important to see how
the average person lived during the specified period of time to get a better understanding
of what factors led to the easy spread of disease within a community and surrounding
ones. You would need someone who has looked extensively at agricultural and climatic
patterns that would affect growth patterns of food production for the people of England.
This is to help gain an understanding of the low levels of immune health of the villages
and other problems that came with economic
Persuasive Essay On Homeless
47,725 or about 8% of the homeless population are veterans and 50% of the homeless
people are over 50 years old in the U.S. Homelessness is an unsatisfactory issue that we
as humans do not see the importance of the help they need. In our community, we take
things for granted and not worry about the importance of helping others. The unfortunate
people living in the streets have passed through difficult times and appreciate small or
big things. Homeless is a person without a home, and therefore typically living on the
streets. Some homeless people have become abusive of drugs, alcohol, and other different
type of drugs. Homelessnessis a major problem in our society. Homelessness
contaminates our city, makes our city look dirty, and it is priority to fix this problem.
To begin, homelessness contaminates our city and spreads diseases like Hepatitis A,
HIV/AIDS of sexually transmitted infections, virus and Tuberculosis. For example,
when the unhoused go to the public bathroom, sometimes they do not clean themselves
or wash their hands. During, the homeless pass it on to their neighbors or other living
creatures and spread or contaminate with different types of diseases. Homeless
contaminate our city by littering on the ground with plastic, foil, and other types of
things that contaminate. Based on what I have seen, one example is when I go down to
the Santa Ana Public Library my mom, sister, and I see that there are various amounts
of trash on the ground. To include, when my family and I pass through the Angels
Stadium in Anaheim I see that there are numerous homeless people that are
contaminating our environment with plenty of diseases. To add, in the short story
ВЁWhat do Fish Have to do With AnythingВЁ by Avi, it states that ВЁhis matted,
streaky gray hair hung like a ragged curtain over his dirty face when describing the
homeless man. As a matter of fact, the author states, his shoes were torn; he had rough
hands that lay upon his knees; and his hand was palm up. No one seemed to pay him
any attention and he begs for money. Because he is filthy, most likely he is carrying
bacteria that may cause diseases. In my community, near the riverbed you can tell that the
homeless leave their feces
The Chinese Communist Party And The Peasant Class
The Chinese Communist Party took control of the government in 1949, after defeating
the Nationalist party and its un communist policies, laws, and views. During this time
period WWII was also going on bringing with it new ideas and technologies that changed
China for better or worse. With this change the peasant class experienced a major shift in
rights, power, and influence. The Chinese Communist Party and the peasant class
between circa 1925 and circa 1950 had a relationship that greatly benefited both sides, the
Chinese Communist Party empowered the peasants and advocated for social and
economic equality which strengthened the anti japanese viewpoint and instilled a sense
of nationalism. The Chinese Communist Party shaped and reinforced

  • 2. Textual Analysis Beowulf Ms. Dawson, this poem is getting good a little too good. Lol. Well, Beowulf decided to return a favor to King Hrothgar by coming to fight the big coward Grendel. Lines 94 96 supports my idea of Beowulf wasn t afraid of nothing or nobody. He could have been in the king s position, but he chose not too for the simplest facts that he wasn t next in line. Although he was the strongest, he wanted to do what was ethical. Beowulfdecided to take 14 of his best men because he knew they were his ride or die. They weren t going to get scared and back down. His men weren t cowards. Line 111 and 120 supports my decision to where they stayed strapped and ready for who or whatever. In line 115 118, it describes their sign from God whether or not they should go and fight this battle or to turn the boat around and go home.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sometimes I m not afraid to ask God to send me a sign. I need that sign. Life gets hard, and I need God to show me the way. Beowulf and his men received that sign when they traveled in a smooth ride. Line 153 helps to build the structure of the epic poem and helps to create the scenery of when Beowulf meets one of King Hrothgar guards. I started to see Beowulf being a cocky character. He s steady trying to reel the guard in to let him through the gate. He gave the guard his father s name that carriers a reputation to help lead him into the gate, but the guard got a little attitude towards the way Beowulf was answering him. I personally don t blame him. Beowulf even insulated King Hrothgar s men. He didn t want them to help because they must wasn t doing nothing for twelve long dreary years. Why should he need their help? Foolish, I know. Beowulf wanted them to be about not to talk about. His men could talk all the noise they wanted and still be about. In life, they tell you not to talk stuff you can t back

A Comparison of the Establishment of Genre and Narrative in Two Crime Films In this essay I will compare how genre and narrative are established in 2 crime films. The main iconography of this genre is fairly easy to identify; props such as guns, latex gloves, sirens, rain are used frequently in Hollywood crime films such as Se7en (1995). The conventions of this genre are also fairly easy to recognise: detectives with long trench coats, the killer being the least likely character, huge urban settings and signifiers like dead bodies have successfully been used in films like Training Day (2001) and Along Came a Spider (2001). The crime genre has been most successful in creating hybrid and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first ever crime film was director D.W. Griffith s The Musketeers of Pig Alley (1912) which examined urban violence and police corruption. Hollywood has continued to make crime films, many sub genres emerged from this genre; heist, juvenile delinquent, gangster and detective. The two films Ocean s Eleven and The Bone Collector are both crime films. Ocean s Eleven was released in the UK on the 15th February 2002. It was directed by Steven Soderbergh and produced by Warner Brothers, which suggests high production values. This film s cast contains several A list stars such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia and Bernie Mac. This film does not clearly have evidence of typecasting but George Clooney appears to be typecast to starring in mostly comedy films. This film does employ comedy elements but essentially this is a caper /heist film. George Clooney and Brad Pitt usually play the leading roles, although not often as criminals like in Ocean s Eleven. It is not unusual to sympathise with criminals in mainstream films as well known stars usually play the criminals. As there were top, celebrated directors, studios, stars and the use of hybrid in this film, it is fair to say that this film was a box office hit. It was huge in the USA and the UK and because of its critical response, Ocean s Twelve

While such methods are typically presumptive in nature, they play a vital role in both lab and field analysis. Presumptive tests allow users to triage samples for confirmatory analysis, saving time and expense. Whether a crime scene, combat zone, or natural disaster site, presumptive assays influence command decisions. In technology deficient areas, presumptive assays may be the totality of the analysis available. Most presumptive tests are color tests, providing a visual cue to the user as to the presence of a particular compound (1 2). While color tests have their benefits, a big drawback is the false positive (3), i.e. the erroneous compound is here . My research focuses on minimizing false positives, false negatives, and generally improving the selectivity of color tests without sacrificing their ease of use and low cost.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This test is routinely employed in the field, usually as an all inclusive kit like Safariland s NarcoPouch shown in Figure 1 (4). A positive result is obtained for morphine (DEA Schedule II), codeine (DEA Schedule II/III), heroin(DEA Schedule I), and over the counter (OTC) aspirin. The OTC result is a false positive, as a true positive is a scheduled opiate. Colors noted by users to describe each compound s test include pink, pink to purple, red purple, and magenta. Given that the accepted reaction mechanism involves the dimerization of opiates (5), it is conceivable that each of these compound s test results are a different tint or shade of red (i.e. different pinks) as they correspond to different structures. The challenge for users in discriminating between compounds are the similarity of resulting colors and limits of the user s color acuity. Different

A person can see all the individual ingredients that make up the salad. People will argue of what can go into a salad and what cannot go into just as people will argue about the place of certain groups with America. Some find disgust in certain groups of people and praise other. The situation is dynamic. The way people interact with groups are constantly changing and morphing due to different influences. Antisemitismis one of the ways people interact with the tossed salad that is America. Antisemitism in United Statesis on a decline because other groups are being used as scapegoats instead, Jews are not seen to pose a threat, a strong Holocaust remembrance, and the hatred of African Americans continues to be the predominate form of hate in the American context. The FBI website lays out the numbers. The site has hate crime statistics up to 2014. In 2014 there were 609 anti Jewish biased hate incidents compared to 1,621 Anti Black or African American incidents. The 609 number is down almost 300 from the 887 Anti Jewish incidents in 2010. Hate Incidents overall decreased from 2010 to 2014. In 2010 there were 6,628 incidents. In 2014 there were 5,479. Although hate crimes overall have decreased, Anti Jewish incidents are decreasing faster in terms of percentage. From 2010 to 2014 Anti Jewish incidents decreased approximately 31 percent.

Language and communication impairments are primary features of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and are the some of the earliest emerging behavioral markers of ASD. Research with typically developing populations highlights the importance of both infants and maternal gesture use in infants early language development (Talbott and Flusberg, 2015, p.1). Investigations of infant siblings of children with autism, who are at increased genetic risk, have shown delays in language and gesture production during their first year of life; these children are later diagnosed with ASD. The development of these reference siblings was determined by their scores on the Social Communication Questionnaire answered by their parents. HRA infant siblings also met diagnostic criteria on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) or were diagnosed by an expert clinician. Infants were seen at 12 and 18 months as part of a larger ongoing project. At the 12 month visit, research staff administered the Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scale (CSBS), the Mullen Scales of Early Learning (MSEL), and infants and parents had 10 minutes of free play with infant appropriate toys (MC). The Effects Of Caffeine On Anaerobic Performance The Effects of Caffeine on Anaerobic Performance Introduction Caffeine is a natural stimulant which is commonly used in sport for increasing heart rate via the nervous system. Anaerobic performance is when an exercise or activity is done in limited volumes of oxygen this can be examples such as jumping, sprinting and the overall effects it has on sports. There are very little articles in which write about the effects of caffeine on anaerobic performance in which most articles talk about 3mg/kg, however, there is very little research on the effects of using lower dosage on anaerobic performance. The main purpose of this text will determine the effect of caffeine on anaerobic respiration and the effect it has on performance Discussion Jump performance is a form of anaerobic performance that is used in sports. Caffeine has shown to improve anaerobic performance by increasing muscle power and agility on volleyball players Del Coso et al. (2014). The study suggested that caffeine increased in volleyball skills required such as jump height by 3mg/kg, however, the study didn t measure lower dosage to see if it will still have the same effect also Abian et al. (2014) found that caffeine had a significant effect on jump performance in badminton players. Both trials support the effects of caffeine on anaerobic respiration. Both trials underwent a double blind trial in which both volunteers and experimenters had no effects on the results, this allows the results to be more reliable.

As the finishing touches to the creation of an ice cream sundae, an individual must emphasize the extravagance of such a dessert through the application of tasty toppings. A. Part of the beauty of a sundae lies in the notion of its having no restraint, for embellishment options remain practically endless. 1. With its soft, dreamy peaks, whipped cream provides one with a fluffy effect. 2. At the same time, other toppings such as crushed oreos, sprinkles, nuts, and bright red maraschino cherries together complete the perfect ice cream sundae. B. Although it seems as if an ice cream sundae emerges as rather costly with its various toppings and other ingredients, a home made sundae proves far less expensive than one from an actual ice cream store. 1. I would like you to listen to this figure from a USA Today article in July of 2001. The price of milk fat, which exists as the prime component of ice cream, has increased by nearly seventy percent! 2. Surely, even we can relate to this huge price increase here in Champaign Urbana, for a cup of plain ice cream smaller than the size of my palm costs around two dollars at the Union. 3. For this very reason, it actually proves wise to create an ice cream sundae to one s own liking at

The right to culture has a significant importance in protecting and allowing for the development of the beliefs of minority groups. However, as explained by Dana Irina, the existence of political and legal cultures may cause friction and subsequently contradict with some of the individual cultures . Therefore, using the example of Ukuthwala, the discussion of which culture will prevail should arise. Ukuthwala is an amaXhosa custom whereby a man and his peers kidnap a girl with the sole purpose of encouraging her family to begin marriage negotiations. In the past, girls were required to be of legal of legal ages and the kidnapper incurred ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 25. Malthus Theory And The Earth s Theory Of Overpopulation The Earth s population is growing rapidly leading to a state where human population exceeds the Earth s carrying capacity. Thomas Robert Malthus was the first economist to start the theory of population and the idea of overpopulation. He wrote his views and explanation about population and its consequences in his essay on Principles of Populationwhich was published in 1798. The book explained the relationship between food and population, and their growth patterns. His views on the theory of overpopulation and its impact influenced many political economists and earned economics the label of the dismissal science . Malthus was concerned by the condition of poverty in the British cities during his time and the increase of population in the industrializing societies. The main idea of Malthus theory was to maintain balance between the population growthand the food for human existence, as the human population tends to grow quicker than the power in the earth to produce subsistence. Malthus was the first economists to present the views and ideas on the matter of population growth and its effect on food and the surroundings. According to Malthus Theory, human population grows exponentially at a geometric rate i.e. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and so on, doubling the number at each time period, whereas food production grow in much slower rate than the population, which grows at an arithmetic rate i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on. Thus, Malthus shows that population grows much faster than the

Wouldn t It Be Better for Me to Invest My Money Rather Than Using It to Refinance My Mortgage? Investing is all about making money, but so is refinancing your mortgage in a roundabout way. Smart investors don t put all their eggs in one basket. That s why refinancing your mortgage is a good idea. If you refinance your mortgage, you will have more money to invest. And if you are reinvesting for a shorter term, but a higher monthly payment, then you will be able to pay off your mortgage sooner. That means once your mortgage is paid off, you can take that money and invest the entire amount. Additionally, paying on a mortgage doesn t come with any risk like investing in the stock market does. Another way to look at it is by comparing how much money you would make if you had invested your money rather than using it to refinance your mortgage. Then compare that to what you would save if you had used your money for mortgage refinancing. Once you have those two numbers, you will also have a clear picture as to which route is best for you. Of course this is not an exact science, because there s no way you can predict how much you will make if you invest your money. However, you can use your best guess based on the current market and hope for the
  • 27. A Surreal Moment Of My Surprise A Surreal Moment My heart was pounding, the ballroom was silent and there I was standing in the top two on the Miss Teen USA stage. All of my hard work and dedication had paid off in that moment. As I was standing there hand in hand with Miss California Teen, I felt like I had been there before. I had dreamed about this moment but never expected it to really happen. Strangely, I had a sense of peace I knew something big was about to happen, and that my life was about to change. The crown was placed on my head, tears ran down my face, and I took my first walk as Miss Teen USA. It all started when I was fourteen years old and after much encouragement from others I decided to compete in the Miss Louisiana Teen USA pageant. As the youngest contestant, I felt I was at a disadvantage but decided to do it for the experience. To my surprise, I was crowned the youngest ever Miss Louisiana Teen USA in October of my freshman year of high school. I was now qualified to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA and had ten months to prepare while also representing the state of Louisiana at numerous charity events. There was much more preparation than just getting on stage in front of thousands of people in a beautiful gown. I had to learn how to do my own makeup and hair, work on interview skills, have an evening gown and swimsuit routine and be prepared to answer an on stage question which was my greatest fear. Being a high school freshman and juggling

It sounds kind of harsh that you got grounded for a month, you shouldn t be back chatting other people though, but then again that is part of being young and impetuous and could actually be a positive in terms of Christian apologetics later on. Having to do an essay on grammar later on as well the as potentially end up with detention if you fail the essay is just mean. :( oh I didn t get grounded for back chatting I got it for getting 61 detentions in one school year, I was hoping the glowing comments from Miss would have detracted from that minor statistic lol, my dad homed into it like Miss homes into my bad grammar. I try not to backchat adults, but that does not go for the boys at school! I have completed the essay ready for the beginning of term, I will get an A for it as I have got Lillian to check it for me, she is the one you go to if you need your grammar checking, her dad and mum are into poetry, so I think she is encouraged to write too. • 29. Forensic Anthropology A cross disciplinary study would need to be an in depth look at a subject matter that other professions can help build on. I would like to see patterns for disease leading up to the infamous black death of the fourteenth century in Europe and then what the patterns looked like as it began to spread across medium sized villages through England. To do this correctly for either part I would need an idea of how the villages in question operated on a normal basis without the threat of a seemingly unstoppable outbreak of black death. The main component of this would to gather information on the villages in a certain area of England during the thirteenth century and this would put my own historian skills to the test. After I acquired this information... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These people study diseases and several aspects of how they develop and spread throughout populations. This would also constitute getting a biologist involved to understand the spread of disease and how it affects populations. The patterns that would be needed to watch how the black death moved and to understand its inner workings would require an ecological professional as well. These people look at how diseases are intertwined with human and non human hosts. The biological field would be quite necessary in understanding the diseases present before the black death comes through and the plague itself to see how it came together to be one of the most horrific outbreaks to ever be explored in human history. The final group that should be consulted is those from an economist s point of view. It would be important to see how the average person lived during the specified period of time to get a better understanding of what factors led to the easy spread of disease within a community and surrounding ones. You would need someone who has looked extensively at agricultural and climatic patterns that would affect growth patterns of food production for the people of England. This is to help gain an understanding of the low levels of immune health of the villages and other problems that came with economic
  • 30. Persuasive Essay On Homeless 47,725 or about 8% of the homeless population are veterans and 50% of the homeless people are over 50 years old in the U.S. Homelessness is an unsatisfactory issue that we as humans do not see the importance of the help they need. In our community, we take things for granted and not worry about the importance of helping others. The unfortunate people living in the streets have passed through difficult times and appreciate small or big things. Homeless is a person without a home, and therefore typically living on the streets. Some homeless people have become abusive of drugs, alcohol, and other different type of drugs. Homelessnessis a major problem in our society. Homelessness contaminates our city, makes our city look dirty, and it is priority to fix this problem. To begin, homelessness contaminates our city and spreads diseases like Hepatitis A, HIV/AIDS of sexually transmitted infections, virus and Tuberculosis. For example, when the unhoused go to the public bathroom, sometimes they do not clean themselves or wash their hands. During, the homeless pass it on to their neighbors or other living creatures and spread or contaminate with different types of diseases. Homeless contaminate our city by littering on the ground with plastic, foil, and other types of things that contaminate. Based on what I have seen, one example is when I go down to the Santa Ana Public Library my mom, sister, and I see that there are various amounts of trash on the ground. To include, when my family and I pass through the Angels Stadium in Anaheim I see that there are numerous homeless people that are contaminating our environment with plenty of diseases. To add, in the short story ВЁWhat do Fish Have to do With AnythingВЁ by Avi, it states that ВЁhis matted, streaky gray hair hung like a ragged curtain over his dirty face when describing the homeless man. As a matter of fact, the author states, his shoes were torn; he had rough hands that lay upon his knees; and his hand was palm up. No one seemed to pay him any attention and he begs for money. Because he is filthy, most likely he is carrying bacteria that may cause diseases. In my community, near the riverbed you can tell that the homeless leave their feces

The Chinese Communist Party And The Peasant Class The Chinese Communist Party took control of the government in 1949, after defeating the Nationalist party and its un communist policies, laws, and views.
