The Importance Of Respecting Veterans
America gave my generation Freedom and the right to vote. My generation should respect the
veterans more and we should be thankful for our freedom. My generation should respect the
veterans more because the fought for the rights we have today we should be thankful, we should
not take granit for it. Another thing is that they fought and they lost their brother and they fought
on even though they were mourning on their loss. The last thing is why should you disrespect
your veterans without them we would not have the rights we have today. My grandfather is one
of the veterans he fought in the vietnam war. He helped me and my generation be free and have
so many of the rights I have today. The freedoms we have today we did not have years we

The United States Foreign Policy
The United States Foreign policy in the Middle East
Since the United States became the world s sole superpower, the Middle East has been seen as the
most troublesome region in the world by US politicians. This view emanates from all the conflicts
going in the Middle East that have the potential to threaten numerous strategic interests for the
united Stated such as oil, terrorist, and Israel. Yet Middle East has never seen as problematic as it
is now due to the excessive flux of problems the Middle East is struggling with. This increasingly
conflicting nature of the region demands the US policymakers to reevaluate American policy in the
Middle East to secure US interests. Unfortunately, American policy in the past three decades toward

In the Persian Gulf, Britain protected Saudi Arabia and the other small states in the Arabian
Peninsula especially when they became oil producers. British paid Jordan s bills, supplied, and ran
the army during 1950s . London backed North Yemen to combat the rising threat of Egypt in the
Arabian Peninsula to Iraq s designs on Kuwait.
British view of the region was not the favorite to Americans. The United States prevented France
and Britain from overthrowing Gamal Abd al Nasser in 1956. In part for that reason, when Britain
announced its withdrawal from East of Suez in 1971, Eisenhower Administration was reluctant to
their place.
The United States tried to invest into regional proxies primarily Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia to
serve protecting Western interests in the region. But in 1979, Shah of Iran was overthrown and
replaced Ayatollah Khomeini. The threat his revolutionary Iranian state posed to American allies
across the region led the United States to become militarily involved in the Persian Gulf for the
first time, a commitment expanded when Iran s defeat (with American assistance) in the Iran Iraq
War created the opportunity for Saddam Hussain to invade Kuwait and pose a threat to the region s
vital oil exports.
Indeed, in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, George Bush Administration tried to eliminate some of
the region s problems perpetually by military

My Experience At World Cafe Live
For my second venue visit, I went to The Trocadero in Philadelphia, PA. This ended up much
less hectic than my first experience at World Cafe Live. From the start, I decided to implement
one of the main lessons I learned from my first visit, so I left my house with ample time to get to
the venue, and accidentally arrived before the front of house engineer did. Luckily, there were a
few assistant engineers there, and they let me in. One was an intern named Kyle from The Art
Institutes of Philadelphia. The other was a guy that went by the name Badge. I later found out the
he was the monitor engineer. Shortly after, Joe, the front of house engineer, showed up. They were
all easy going guys. Before they set up the stage, they all worked on... Show more content on

I checked google for Sennheiser 607s to make sure, and found no results. A shure PG81
condenser mic was used for hi hats, and two SM137s were used for overheads, also condensers.
I had never encountered the PG81 or the SM137 before that, to my knowledge, so I was nice to
see them in action. All of that fed into a subsnake place by the drums. The band also had a DJ,
who was placed on a riser upstage, stage right. I actually got to help patch that. We took the
stereo outs, XLR, of his controller directly into the main patch. I am assuming that Joe meant the
main snake when he said that. I gave him the cables and he took them under the stage, so I did
not actually get to see where the other side was patched in. I followed him around while he
finished setting things up on stage. There were for keyboards total. They were all patched as
mono into different DI boxes. I asked him why mono instead of stereo, and he said that usually
he would do stereo. However, in this case it was easier to do mono sends since keyboards would
be changing position on the stage throughout the night. During this time he gave me the advice he
says he gives everyone just coming into the business. Safety first. He told me that I did not want a
sandbag to fall on someone, and to trust him on that. In addition, the band had a bass player, a
guitar player, a saxophone, a trumpet, and one of the keyboard

The Women In “Trifles”. The Play “Trifles” , Written
By
The Women In Trifles
The play Trifles , written by Susan Glaspell allows us to experience the gender divide in the early
nineteen hundreds. While the play title gives the reader the idea that the story will be trivial or
unimportant, it is anything but. The play focuses on the fact that women are considered other or an
object (Beauvoir, 8). This is the complete opposite of men who are considered the subject , which
holds immense amount of values. These two definitions are polar opposites. In the piece Second
Sex, Beauvoir goes onto explain that this distinct difference between genders cause women to lose
their humanity or individuality. In this world, women have no authority since they are nothing
more than objects for men to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the beginning of the play it is obvious that our characters are vastly different levels of
importance. The men gain their importance from the type of people they are. The women, on the
other hand are defined by the men that they have married. The critic Beauvoir mentions in chapter
five of The Second Sex that Marriage is the reference by which the single woman is defined
(Beauvoir, 502). In society a woman only hold value based on the man that she has married. In
Trifles all the men are addressed by their birth given first or last names. However all the women
within the play are addressed by their last name given to them by marrying their husbands.
Beauvoir goes onto say that marriage was supposed to be a free choice between both spouses
and that the desire of marriage should be reciprocal. However, it has developed into a woman s
responsibility to marry, take her husband s last name, stay at home and be a housewife
(Beauvoir, 502). This concept is portrayed when Mrs. Hale describes Minnie before she married
Mr. Wright: I heard she used to wear pretty clothes and be lively, when she was Minnie Foster
(Glaspell, 984). Minnie was once her own individual who lived her life depending on what she
wanted to do. However, once she married Mr. Wright she lost her individuality and became his
object. When she was with her husband

Emergency Room Monitoring System
Clinical Tip #7
You are currently working in an office with the best equipment possible for dentistry. Your office
has a crown making machine, digital x ray machines and a brand new beautiful facility to
complement a professional environment. However, life can change rapidly and someday you
may be working in a less than ideal environment. I took an online class with a dental hygienist in
San Francisco, and she was hand dipping all of the film in her office. They did not even possess an
automatic processor. It is important to learn about film processing in a darkroom, even though it is
not valid for your current state of employment. Also, this information will be part of your testing for
certification.

The level of solution should be kept to the top of the tank so the immersed film will be covered.
Eight ounces of standard fixer and developer should be replenished daily. The solutions should be
changed completely every 2 3 weeks.
The light sources should include an illuminating safelight to allow operator to see what they are
doing when processing films, but not allow for light leaks. An overhead white light is a must to
shut off during developing. It allows the operator to sufficiently clean and care for solutions and
the processor. A viewing safelight is included so that a dentist can view the film prior to fully
development. An x ray viewbox is incorporated for fully viewing the finished products, and an
outside warning light to let other operators know someone is already in the darkroom developing
film. (However, never count on someone looking at the light; always lock the door.)
Record keeping must include supply inventory and film identifications. The date of the next
scheduled solution change should be posted in a prominent space. The patient s name, chart
number, number of films, and hanger number, and the date taken should be recorded.
Due to operator error or poor processing technique, sometimes a film does not turn out as

Not Without My Daughter Betty Mahmoody
Not Without My Daughter was an amazing novel by Betty Mahmoody, and was turned into a
phenomenal film. This film revolves around many ideas and themes, but education was an
underlying theme. Betty wrote this book about her real life experiences. She was married to an
Iranian, Sayyed Moody Mahmoody, and had a beautiful daughter, Mahtob. Moody has not seen his
familyin many years and convinces Betty to go with him and Mahtob to visit them in Iran. While in
Iran, Moody states that he wants Betty and Mahtob to stay and live in Iran. Betty did not want this.
However, women in Iran have little rights and therefore Betty could not leave without her husband
s permission. Since, he wanted them to stay, and was dominant, Betty had to find a way to escape
with Mahtob. After much determination and an extended period of time, Betty and Mahtob made it
to the American Embassy in Turkey. Education played a huge role throughout the film. For
example, Betty wasn t aware of current customs and laws in Iran. She... Show more content on

The difference was that this woman had the chance to leave and return to America. However,
Ellen came back to Iran and learned how to cope with the cultural struggles she faced. Mahtob
also had to attend school. She hated it and cried hysterically on the first day. Betty was then
asked to attend school with Mahtob everyday. Betty met some nice women who worked at the
school. The ladies told Betty that she could come late one day, and so Betty did. Betty, however,
was very late and Moody was already there waiting to pick Mahtob up. Moody was furious when
he realized Betty was not at the school. This resulted in him beating her in front of the school aids

Analyzing an Advertisement for a Book of the Christian Faith
In our society today large numbers of people practice some sort of religion. Realizing how many
people inhabit the world today it s not hard to believe that there are literally thousands of religions
out there. Making a choice as to what religion you fit into can be a daunting task. Even if you
already practice a set religion sometimes its hard to know if you are putting your faith in the right
hands so to speak. People get into a religion and they think that their beliefs are right and
everyone else s are wrong or twisted. Also people want the religion they are practicing to be the
preferred religion of the country or of the world. So from the beginning of history people have ...

This sets the scene, letting you know that you are probably looking at an American city. All around
this building are other buildings almost as tall as the center one if it weren t for the tower sitting
on top of it. The other buildings all seem to be apartment buildings squeezed quite close together,
giving the impression that this is a rather large city. You can see the top of a street light from the
point where it starts to bend in the lower right corner.
All around this picture there are people floating in the air around the city block. Most of them
are floating in the sky above the buildings but some are at the level of the building roofs and
even lower. There are some people all the way down at the bottom of the picture around the
height of the streetlight. A few of the people in the picture are looking toward the sky as if to
ask a question but most of them are going about their daily business. There is a wide variety of
people depicted in the picture. Most of the people are businessmen and women that are dressed
in suits, some are holding umbrellas and some are not, others are talking on a cell phone or
reading a paper. Dispersed among these businessmen there are some construction personnel
wearing hardhats, a teenager on a skateboard, a few students holding books or a backpack, a few

Bull Trout Research Paper
Introduction: The Bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) in the family Salmonidae and are a char
native to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Montana and western Canada. Compared to other
salmonids, bull trout have more specific habitat requirements that appear to influence their
distribution and abundance (USFWS, 2015). Bull trout were historically regarded as pests due to
their voracious predatory behavior. It was thought that bull trout depleted populations of more
desirable game fish by feeding on them when they were very small thus supposedly depleting the
numbers. In fact at one point there was a bounty placed on bull trout tails in Canada to encourage
fisherman to rid the waters of this Bully, which effectively eliminated them from certain watersheds
(Donald, D. B., and D. J. Alger. 1993). At one time in the early 1900 s the Bull Trout thrived in the
waterways of the Northwest. The Upper Snake Recovery Unit for the Bull trout occurs within
central Idaho, northern Nevada, and eastern Oregon. Major drainages include: the SalmonRiver,

Suckley in 1859 as Salmo confluentus, and later Linnaeus gave the Char the genus name
Salvelinus. The bull trout s species name (confluentus), which translates roughly from Latin to
mean flowing together, presumably refers to the larger rivers and streams which they inhabit
(Moyle, 2002). Bull trout are considered char and are native to the Pacific Northwest and western
Canada. The historical range of bull trout includes major river basins in the Pacific Northwest at
about 41 to 60 degrees North latitude, from the southern limits in the McCloud River in northern
California and the Jarbidge River in Nevada to the headwaters of the Yukon River in the Northwest
Territories, Canada (Watson, G. and T. Hillman. 1997) More westward the bull trout s current range
includes Puget Sound, various coastal rivers of British Columbia, Canada, and southeast Alaska

The Fight For Equal Rights, Especially For Women, Has Never
The fight for equal rights, especially for women, has never been stronger than it is in 2017. Just a

marched in places such as New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle to express their
disapproval with recently elected President Trump. This movement was the largest single day

The end product of this convention was a signed petition compiled of 32 men and 68 women all

excited for what was to come in the future. Around 1890 two of the most influential women s
rights groups in the National Women s Suffrage Association and the American Women s Suffrage
Association, combined to become one organization called National Women s Association
(NAWSA). The NAWSA attracted many women from all over to help contribute to its cause to
gain equality for women, but it took a giant step forward with the addition of University of
Pennsylvania student Alice Paul. The film Iron Jawed Angels depicts the encounter of Alice Paul
and the NAWSA president Carrie Chapman Catta and shows us the differences the two had in their
ideas. Paul expressed her idea of fighting for constitutional amendment while Carrie and the elder
activists of the group supported a state by state campaign. Alice also expresses her thoughts about
gaining more public attention for women s suffrage and purposes the activists seek more creative
means such as a parade during the inauguration of President Woodrow Wilson. While Alice thought
this was a great and innovative idea, the elder activists feared that the parade would do nothing but
set their movement back as they felt it would reduce

On February 19th 1942, Roosevelt signed the executive order 9066. Under the terms of the order,
people of Japanese descent were placed in internment camps. The United States justification for this
abominable action was that the Japanese American s may spy for their Homeland. Over 62% of the
Japanese that were held in these camps were American Citizens. The United Statesinternment of the
Japanese was a poor and cowardly method of keeping the peace. The United States was not justified

Of course, the American public was also feeling great resentment towards the Japanese Americans
during this particular time period. Congress merely intensified these feelings of hatred by passing
laws such as the executive order 9066.
The Fifth Amendment s command states that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or
property without due process of law. During the Japanese American internment, the Japanese
American s were forced from their homes and made to go into makeshift concentration camps.
This is a deprivation of life, through forcing the Japanese to give up their normal routine lives for
national security. It is a deprivation of liberty because the Japanese were confined in a set space
and not allowed to venture past the area. The Japanese property was also seized and confiscated
which is another direct violation of the fifth commandment. The government continued to break

The customers bargaining power is another force that presents a competitive pressure on companies
in this industry. Customers are more interested on the brand identity with much preference on the
emergent ones. They tend to be loyal to price elasticity and hence companies are left to compete in
cutting costs. Obviously, consumers will go for products with low prices and therefore companies
such as Apple would not risk being expensive. The more expensive a company s products are the
less the number of buyers received. Immediately a substitute enters the market, everything to do
with the existing products becomes competitive. Consumers are left to make considerate choices
between the product and its substitutes. The Smartphone Tablet industry is characterized by
emergent of various brands within short ranges of time. These brands become substitutes and
affect the pricing strategy adversely. This is a force that Apple and the other companies have to
deal with as far as their survival in the market is concerned.
A barrier to entry is another competitive force that Apple and other companies endure. The
possibilities of entering a particular market are limited by factors such as technology, time and cost
advantage, economies of scale and knowledge. If a certain market is characterized by a certain

The Dark Matter, By Sir Isaac Newton
The universe is made mostly of dark matter and dark energy, and we don t what either of them is,
a quote by Nobel Prize winning astrophysicist Saul Perlmutter. Dark Matter is currently a
conundrum for modern physicist. Only 4% of our universe is known to us, which means 96% is
still a mystery. This paper will focus on the dark matterthat currently makes up 27% of our current
universe. To understand dark matter, we must understand how we came to identify dark matter.
From there we can understand where it came from, are there certain types of dark matter, the
current theories of dark matter and finally where do we go with our current understanding.

The fact that the stars are confined within the galaxy, even though their vertical velocities are
measured to be high enough, necessitates the presence of unseen mass in the galaxy . Swiss
astronomer, Fritz Zwicky, in 1933 was investigating a galaxy cluster. While making his
investigations in the galaxy cluster at Coma constellation 90 Mega parsecs (one million parsecs)
away and also at the cluster in Virgo constellation and calculated its gravitational mass using the
Virial Theorem. (2T=n{Vtot} He then used the mass luminosity relation of the stars of the
individual galaxies and estimated the mass of the luminous matter in each of the clusters. He
came up with a huge discrepancy between these two masses and predicted the existence of dark
invisible matter. He would call this invisible dark matter, dunkie Materie. At the time of this
proclamation was not widely accepted until a Bullet Cluster was observed. Authors report that the
cluster is undergoing a high velocity (around 4500 km/s) merger, evident from the spatial
distribution of the hot, x ray emitting gas, but this gas lags behind the sub cluster galaxies.
Furthermore, the dark matter clump, revealed by the weak lensing map, is coincident with the
collision less galaxies, but lies ahead of the collisional gas. This and other similar observations
allow good limits on the cross section of the self interaction of dark matter. Now that we have an

A Political Campaign Analysis
The political campaign environment in the United States changed in 2010 with the allowance of
unlimited independent expenditures by outside entities in elections. The courts decisions in
Citizens United and SpeechNow.org further increases Americans concerns regarding an undue
influence of money in politics. This, coupled with increasing polarization and congressional
gridlock in the U.S. House of Representatives, promotes skepticism of the political process.
Polarization and gridlock create perceptions that representatives do not represent the average voter
preferences but represent big moneyed interests (Briffault, 2011; Gilbert and Aiken, 2015) and
donors, who are more ideologically extreme than the average voter (Barber, 2014). Given... Show

Since the 1960s, the decline of moderate ideological voters has allowed more active, partisan
voters to determine election outcomes. This produces greater ideological conflict and stimulates a
further decrease in the level of voter turnout by ideological moderates (Rogowski, 2014;
Ansolabehere, et. al, 1994). Outside money that supports or opposes a particular partisan candidate
can increase the level of electoral conflict and promote a greater rallying effect around ideological
partisan leanings of particular candidacies. This diminishes the representation for the average

Difference Between Heretic And Hypocrite
Heretic and Hypocrite
The Christian faith is complex. It is a religion that preaches love, but centered at many hate rallies
and speeches. Within the recent stretch of years especially, surrounding millennials and increase in
crises, Christianity has entirely developed into a new beast. Due to hypocrisy within the Catholic
Church, many are turned away by what it has become. The largest issues stem from the smallest of
issues. A community grows from one individual, and if the individual takes on a different
personality due to its environment, the community will become toxic.
Catholicism is no longer about serving God, but changing and taking on a different persona
entirely. Today, serving God seems to have fallen from priority, replaced by Gospel gossip and
conforming. Much of this creates fairly hostile environments that pressure individuals to change
themselves to fit the molds set before them. Members become very judgmental and tied in with the
gossip of their faith. College professor Olivia spoke of the community s aid to her in trying times,
but recounts the many changes she underwent, such as judging ... Show more content on

individuals must depend on an agreement/ or contract among each person to form a society, in
which they live in. The concept emphasizes authority over individuals, in other words, the social
contract favors authority (e.g. the Sovereign) over the individuals, because men have to forfeit their
personal right and freedom to the government, in exchange for protection and security, which I will
further elaborate in this paper. In the book Leviathan, Thomas Hobbeswas one of the first to discuss
the social contract. Hobbes explains that all human beings are born in the state of nature , which
means that all men used to live in the primitive... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, for such is the nature of men, that howsoever may acknowledge many others to be
more witty, or more eloquent, or more learned, and they will hardly believe there be many so
wise as themselves . (Hobbes, 1651, p.184). However, individuals would believe that some men
would be inferior or superior to them, as a result, each person in the state of nature is in fear of
others who may attack for any reasons (e.g. gain, safety, and glory). But, men never wanted to live
in fear, in contrary, they wanted peace in their life. In such dilemma, individuals must agree on rule
to govern their actions. In other words, men enter the social contract, which requires them to give
up their rights and freedom, and act upon the general rules to the sovereign. By agreeing to the
mutual consent, individuals also agree to obey the laws, and submit their obedience to the
sovereign. However, the sovereign, in exchange, must guaranty the safety and protection of each of
its members for their rights and obedience. Nevertheless, the social contract theory make men lose
their moral obligations, and forces men to act more civilize to ensure a functioning society for all
its members.
In conclusion, Hobbes argues that people live in a state of

Qualities Of Modern Architecture
Modern architecture was produced during a period of transformation broadly categorized as
modernity. Modernity should not be equipped with the social, political, economic, and
technological transformation which began in the seventeenth century and continued well into the
twentieth century. Rather, it must be understood at the attitudes towards whose changes. Modernity
has been variously described as: a slow transformation and re evaluation of our relationship with the
past; a complete break from the past; a celebration of the chaos brought about by technological
changes in industry, transportation and communication; a loss of tradition and home; a project of
modernization and progress towards a better world; and a permanent state of transformation and
change. Modern architectureis defined as a term used to describe simplified and unornamented
building styles of the late 19th and 20th century, as a reaction towards the design of excesses to
the design excesses of the Victorian and Edwardian period. Qualities of this style consist of being
inspired by the machine aesthetics. In other words letting the materials and structuring help
determine the form and define the building according to its functional requirements and materials
to be used. Clean and simplified forms were preferred and all unnecessary details were banished.
An example of modern architecture can be explained and seen by Zaha Hadid s VitraFire Station
built in 1990. Constructed as a closure at the end of a

Marginal Revenue (MR) is the adjustment altogether income because of a unit change in amount.
So also Marginal cost (MC) is the additional cost of producing a unit. These two ideas are
extremely helpful in ideal designation of assets.
Assets will mean all variables of creation utilized as a part of the generation process. Such assets
are rare. So every firm will attempt to make ideal allotment of such rare assets to get most ideal
result.
A business is keep running with the essential goal of amplifying benefit. Along these lines ideal
designation will mean appropriation of rare assets in such a way, to the point that benefit is
expanded.
Business sector is instrument which helps in ideal allotment of assets. On the off chance that a
firm has not succeeded in upgrading its essential target of benefit boost, then assets will be moved
to different zones of creation where it will be utilized all the more successfully. In this way social
welfare will be streamlined.
Scientifically it can be built up that profit will be augmented where Marginal revenue and Marginal

It s ok to challenge ourselves, we are often encouraged to push ourselves to the max because the
greatest reward lies within overcoming obstacles. What they don t tell us is that while it s
always great for us to grow, we need to be aware of our limits and be careful so we don t put

Emotional Intelligence And Effective Leadership
Emotional Intelligence and Effective Leadership Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability
necessary to identify, assess and control the emotions of oneself, other people or entire groups
(May, 2013). It means having the skills to control one s emotions, as well as to read the room or
interpret the moods and emotions of others with whom one is interacting. As a leader this is
invaluable, since it is important to maximize the potential of one s staff. Getting along with others
is a key ability of leaders, and having and using emotional intelligenceallows a leader to manipulate
the situation to encourage people to like you more. Using emotional intelligence offers leaders that

It is the old saying, is the glass half empty or half full.
A second example, occurred at work when I had a phone call delivering terrible news of a personal
nature. Instead of letting this news impact my behavior and taking out my frustrations on my staff,
I worked to remain positive and approachable. This enabled the department to work productively for
the rest of the afternoon, rather than have work disrupted due to a poor attitude (mine) and the
response to that attitude.
EQ vs. IQ
Emotional intelligence taps into a fundamental element of human behavior that is distinct from
your intellect. Intelligence is simply your ability to learn, and it s the same at any age (Bradberry,
2014).
However, Emotional intelligence is a flexible set of skills that can be acquired and improved with
practice. One can further develop their level of emotional intelligence over time, and don t
necessarily have to be born with it.
There is no known connection between IQ and emotional intelligence; you simply can t predict
emotional intelligence based on how smart someone is (Bradberry, 2014).
Your emotional intelligence is the foundation for a host of critical skills it impacts most
everything you say and do each day (Bradberry, 2014). Emotional intelligence is the single biggest
predictor of performance in the workplace and the strongest driver of leadership and personal
excellence (Bradberry, 2014).

Hip Hop Music In The 1970 s
Hip Hop music is a popular subculture, a piece of music that is focused on rhythmic music along
with rapping, a rhyming and rhythmic speech called chanting. Hip Hop culture was developed as
part of hip hop customs, using four keys style elements: rapping, turntables, graffiti writing, break
dancing, instrumental tracks and beat boxing. Hip Hop musicis commonly referred to as rap music
and includes the practice of the entire subculture.
In the 1970 s, hip hop began in the Bronx, NY. At block and house parties using mixed songs
from two different records were used, also two turntables were used by DJ s playing popular
songs to extend the break of Hip Hop development as sampling knowledge and drum machines

In the 1980 s, hip hop developed many more styles such as Pitbull, Latino Style, Shaggy, Jamaican

Expansionary Monetary Policy Expansionary fiscal policy, such as the Chancellor of the
Exchequer deciding to reduce the standard rate of income tax leads to higher aggregate demand and
an increase in equilibrium income and output. In this essay I will examine the factors that are

Gordon Brown in the preparation of his next budget with a brief description on the assumptions that
my advice is based.

This example of short run and long run aggregate supply and demand brings us straight into IS

how equilibrium is reached in both the goods and money markets. This model involves two

My First Shopping Trip
I reminisce the time like it was yesterday, the white tile along the floor as I walked by my mom s
side, my fragile body shivering from the coldness I felt, my eyes taking quick glimpses of
everything near me. I can just imagine how my pupils dilated from the excitement of all the
beautiful things I saw. At that moment I didn t realize my first shopping trip would have such
an impact on my future. I can recall the amazing feeling I felt when I purchased my first outfit.
Why would this mean so much to me? I was born with an identical twin. For 7 years of my life, I
wore the exact same thing as my sister. I was always known as a twin ,when I picked out my first
outfit everything changed. It was a way for me to make a new identity for myself. I love being a

Data managers are responsible for carrying out the data management. They could range from

Why Should Students Be Allowed To Carry Concealed Weapons...
Hunter Humphries Writing Skills II Dr. Woodberry December 2, 2017 Concealed Weapons on
College Campuses Students walk college campuses thinking of homework, friends, social
happenings, but rarely thinking about their safety. Students on college campuses are defenseless
against an armed assailant because an armed assailant can shoot and harm many students in a
short time before the police arrive. There are opposing views about allowing concealed weapons
on college campuses, and the debate has been making news lately with the number of school
shootings and people getting killed and injured rising. According to Robert Birnbaum in The
Magazine of Higher Learning, More Guns advocates argue that college students and faculty
should be able to carry weapons for their own protection, particularly since history has shown that
colleges can t protect them from assailants (Birnbaum 7). For students to properly defend
themselves against armed assailants, they should be allowed to carry concealed weapons on
campus. One reason students should be allowed to carry concealed weapons on campus is
because assailants would be more reluctant to open fire on a campus if they knew students were
carrying concealed weapons. One way to protect against a mass shooter is to allow those who are
licensed to carry their arms with them into school. Without concealed weapons, students are
defenseless against an armed assailant. According to Nadia Nedzel in Academic Questions, For a

Fsajiro Yamauchi Accomplishments
On September 23, 1889, just weeks before his thirtieth birthday, an entrepreneur named Fusajiro
Yamauchi opened a small, rickety looking shop in the heart of Kyoto. To attract the attention of
passing rickshaws and wealthy denizens, he inscribed the name of his new enterprise on the
storefront window: Nintendo, which had been selected by combining the kanji characters nin, ten,
and do. Taken together, they meant roughly leave luck to heaven though, like most successful
entrepreneurs, Yamauchi found success by making his own luck. In an era where most
businessmen were content to survive off the modest returns of regional mainstays such as sake,
silk, and tea, he decided it was time to try something new. So instead of selling a conventional
product, Fusajiro Yamauchi opted for a controversial one, a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

With no male children, he offered Nintendo s presidency to his grandson, Hiroshi, who was twenty
one and studying law at Waseda University. It didn t take long for Hiroshi Yamauchi to make his
presence known. He fired every manager that had been appointed by his grandfather and replaced
them with young go getters who he believed could usher Nintendo beyond its conservative past.
With innovation on his mind,Yamauchi branched out into a number of other, less lucrative
endeavors, including an instant rice company and a pay by the hour love hotel. These
disappointments led Yamauchi to the conclusion that Nintendo s greatest asset was the meticulous
distribution system that it had built over decades of selling playing cards. With such an intricate
and expansive pipeline already in place, he narrowed his entrepreneurial scope to products that
could be sold in toy and department stores and settled upon a new category called

Essay about A D High Tech (A)
Case #3
A D High Tech (A): Managing Projects for Success:
A Negative View
1. What is the estimated project completion date? (Assume there are no holidays and ignore the
sunk cost of the planning team s effort)
The estimated project completion date is TUE 11/13/13 with duration of 127 days. After leveling
and re allocating work along the project line, the project got delayed for 3 days so that the
completion day moved up to FRI 11/21/13 (total duration of 130 days). (MS Project 2007)
2. What is the total cost? How much of the total cost are labor costs? Capital costs?
Total Cost: $98,500 + $844,980 = $943,480
Labor Cost: $ 844,980 (given result of project)

* Project can not be delivered by scheduled date.
* Changes are required to scope, time, and cost.
Under present circumstances project would be delayed by 431 days, no way to deliver on project
completion date of November 18th, 2003.
Senior managers were adamant about project scope, so changes will be unlikely here.
Approve more funds to hire more resources, unclear how many will be needed to gain this amount
of time from the duration.
Allow the delivery to be delayed, this will ease the strain, (personal and mental) on resources, but
will increase costs.
3. What is (are) the critical path(s) in the project? What is the level of risk in completing tasks on
the critical path(s)? Explain.
Analyzing the critical path, there is a high level risk as it runs parallel to itself, more than one
task at a particular time could delay project. Some other tasks run parallel to the critical path and
have same duration; a delay in one of these tasks will change the critical path and delay the whole
project.
Resources overuse
4. What is your opinion on the potential for the project to be completed on time?
Due to the high risk and tight schedule of the online store project, it has a high possibility to delay
and go behind schedule. And we would like to suggest some opinion about the management of the
project to avoid the overtime of the project and

Dr. Malcolm Sayer ( Robin Williams )
Awakenings
In 1969, Dr. Malcolm Sayer (Robin Williams) is a new physician at a local hospital in the Bronx
area of New York City. Dr. Sayer is caring and dedicated physician who works with catatonic
patients who survived the encephalitis lethargica epidemic. Despite these patients not moving in
over decades, Dr. Sayer is determined to help these patients and sees them as their families do as
individuals. Dr. Sayer first discovers, there are certain stimuli such as catching a ball, hearing
familiar music, and experiencing human touch have an effect on all of these patients, except

Beneficence is upheld by Dr. Sayer who displays the desire to help his catatonic patients. Justice
is also upheld by Dr. Sayer because he learns of the benefits and soon the risks of the drug L
Dopa. Once Dr. Sayer noticed Leonard s symptoms only worsened he had to come to terms that all
of his patients will revert back to their original state, at that point the risks outweighed the benefits.
In correlation, this decision uphold non maleficence, the duty to cause no harm.
During Dr. Sayer and Leonard s argument, Leonard his autonomy was being violated as well as
tolerance. Leonard felt as though his autonomy was being violated, when he could not express
his freedom and come and go as he pleased. He also felt as though his tolerance was violated
because Dr. Sayer did not consider his viewpoint on that matter nor saw him as a free individual
only as a patient still despite all the progress.
Equality, impartiality and respect for persons are all upheld by Dr. Sayer, while is violated by the
rest of the staff while the patients are in their catatonic state. Dr. Sayer believes his patients as still
alive inside as a result treats them as moral equals (equality) who should not be treated differently
in spite of their catatonic state (impartiality) and individuals who have rights and should be honored
and respected (respects for persons). Only after seeing these patients become awaken did the staff

Positive Effects Of Group Polarization
Due to its history as a great colonial power, as well as its geographical location, Great Britain has
been involved in numerous wars and conflicts throughout history. The British Empire, which was at
is greatest in the 16th and 17th, stretched around the globe, and as the Superpower of the time,
Britain wished to protect its interest by using the necessary means, which in many cases meant war.
Also, Great Britain being located on an island, has made the nation prone to conflict as they have
had to control the surrounding waters, enabling trade with Europe and the rest of the world. This
has been true both in the Napoleonic wars, and for more recent wars, such as World War I
and II.
Being involved in prolonged wars, with the loss of large numbers of lives and... Show more content

Group polarization is the tendency to make more extreme decisions than the members initial
thoughts. This phenomenon especially shows in wars because it links the parts together and
contradictory thoughts and values surfaces even more. The group polarization that occurs
generally has positive effects to the society and in this case, it greatly impacted the British society.
The British people had the same intentions, and with that in mind, the internal political
controversies usually decline. Another incident that occurred during and after World War II that
shows how wars bring people together was Winston Churchill`s desire for a united society.
Churchill served as prime minister of Britain through the World War II. He was popular among the
British people and he is known for his inspirational speeches. At the general election in 1945, the
conservative party, led by Churchill, lost the election. The result of the election was contradictory
to almost all the polls and surveys done prior to the election. More importantly, this shows how
wars gather people and impact the society. Accordingly, this shows how one can act remarkably

Dementia And Alzheimer s Disease
I m only sixteen, I am too young to be in a care facility! That is just one of the many things a
person with dementia might say. Many patients with dementia lose their memories of growing up
and may think they are a child again. Or perhaps they think they are still at home and caring for
their families. You could see why some dementia patients may be upset or have behaviors because
of this. Not every person with dementia is the same, but most symptoms are similar. In the
knowledge of health science there are four different types of dementia which are Vascular
Dementia, Lewy BodyDementia, Frontotemporal Dementia and the Alzheimer s disease. Questions
about Dementia may still be unsolved about how this disease was originally derived, but... Show

Instead of labeling it Alzheimer s, Dementia differs because it can happen any age. In 2015, the
Alzheimer s Disease International estimated that about 46.8 million people worldwide live with
dementia and these statistics will most likely double every twenty years. The most rapid growth of
dementia in the elderly is currently taking place in China, India and the other surrounding Asian
countries due to them being developing countries.
Dementia is a chronic or persistent disorder of the mental processes caused by a brain disease or
injury and marked by memory disorders, personality changes, and impaired reasoning. (Merriam
Webster Dictionary). A simpler way to define dementia is that it is a mental illness that causes
someone to be unable to think clearly or to understand what is real and what is not real, the
Merriam Webster dictionary illustrates. Dementia is the leading illness to the common case of
Alzheimer s. Dementia is not a disease, it s an overall term that describes a wide range of
symptoms. Dementia isn t a specific disease. Instead, dementia describes a group of symptoms
affecting memory, thinking and social abilities severely enough to interfere with daily functioning.
(Mayo Clinic Staff). Dementia can best be described as a decline in memory or other thinking
skills severe enough to reduce a person s ability to perform everyday activities. People with
dementia often forget things,

of Agilent s goals is to maintain a good quality relationship between employees and management

However, if the result on an employee is found to be in the same level as previous year, his or
her increment will remain the same, or even lesser. Worst still, whoever is being tagged as in the
level of bad performance , that particular employee will be ranked as PIR (Performance
Improvement Required). From here, one will be terminated from job if there is not sign of
improvement within half year.
The next stage is the feedback system. The essential part of the performance feedback process is
the discussion between the manager and the employee. Prior to completing the RFF (Rank
Preparation Form) and inputting the employee s rank in the system, the manager will gather
performance feedback on the employee from a variety of sources.
The manager will choose to share this form with the employee in order to gather his/her input
prior to completing the RFF. After the RFF has been completed and the rank approved by all
levels of the management team, the manager will then discuss the RFF with the employee.
During the discussion, the manager and employee will both discuss the employee s
responsibilities, goals and objectives, results, strengths and areas for development. The manager
will then sets performance objectives and measures that tie to business objectives for the coming
year. The manager and employee will also discuss ways to address the employee s knowledge and
skill gaps relative to the next year s performance objectives, as well as the skills that will

Summary Of The Poem What A Jerk
What a jerk? That s him pushing the stone up the hill, the jerk (34 37): Seems like Mrs.
Sisyphus, throughout the poem, is attempting to rule out her workaholic husband of any chance
to explain himself or tell his side of the story on why he works a lot. The reader may even argue
that there may be some valid complaints that she states but she s not all that sympathetic. There
s this sense of complete hatred for her husband as if he s really a horrendous person, but in
reality she s alone and hurt rather than angry. Throughout the poem, she comes across as very
evil, diabolical, but in a softer sense. Her words don t seem to stick since they re more of a soft
insult rather than harsh and rough, as if a little girl did not get the candy she wants so she s
ignoring her mother for not buying her it, but she s calling her mean and all this in the moment,
but then gets sad because she didn t get that piece of candy. If you take a look at the beginning
stanzas of the poem, she says in her own words, I call it a stone it s nearer the size of a kirk.
When he first started out, it just used to irk, but now its incenses me, and him, the absolute berk.
I could do something vicious to him with a dirk. (2 5). When reading this poem, the first thing
you may realize is that this poem is written as a dramatic monologue, which is a literary technique
used to speak to some kind of non present listener, and she puts this story together in a dramatic
and shocking sort of way as if she

Animal Testing Is Bad Science
Animals very rarely serve as models for the human body. Many people are brought up with the idea
that animal experimentation is necessary to insure the safety of humans, but in reality, these
experiments are creating only harm to animals. Animals have done nothing to deserve this backlash,
and by educating the public on the true unsuccessfulness of animal testing, the ethical side is forced
out in the open. The argument Animal Testing is Bad Science by the People for The Ethical
Treatment of Animals(PETA), argues that ethics dictate the value of each life, and that no life is
overthrown by another. This well formulated argument effectively integrates ethos, logos, powerful
structure, and robust premises to persuade the audience.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All premises given are paired with explicit claims to express proposals such as, no experiment, no
matter how painful or trivial is prohibited and reactions to drugs vary enormously from species to
species (PETA, 2015). By following the line of logic, the claim is already known.
Ethos
Through the use of credible and reliable sources, PETA s argument builds validity. The author
recounts President Richard Nixon sign[ing] the Conquest of Cancer Act in 1971 (PETA, 2015) to
introduce that any money raised for cancer is not stopping hundreds of thousands dying from it
each year, and that animals contributed as test objects for these newfound drugs are not suddenly
going to cure cancer. Since an American president is mentioned, the audience will trust the
upcoming evidence. Furthermore, the author establishes ethos with well known acts and
dependable doctors. Referencing the 40 percent of all research funding from the U.S. National
Institute of Health and organizations like the American Board of Anesthesiologists [whom] even
require physicians to complete simulation training not animal laboratories (PETA 2015). The first
reference represents the billions of dollars swallowed by animal experimentation funds. Citing
information from the U.S. Institute of Health notes the continued spending, even with countless
failed experiments. Ethos is held by the author due to the credible sources incorporated within

Astral Projection Research Paper
Astral Projection Research Paper
Throughout history, people have been experiencing astral projection. Commonly called out of
body experiences (OBEs), these are events in which one s consciousness actually seems to be
separate from the physical body. These are often described by people who have near death
experiences(NDEs). Until recently, they were kept secret by the people who experienced them
for fear of being deemed insane by society. However, there were those few who pursued this
experience with an open, yet sometimes fearful, mind. These people expanded their minds to
become more open and peaceful. More people than ever are engaging in astral projection, and

It is an escape from our bodies, it is adventurous, and it violates conventional standards of behavior
(Peterson).
Other identical OBEs occur during what are regarded as unconscious periods caused by accident
or injury. Mostly these are categorized as freak events and are tucked away in memory as
anomalies or something that didn t really happen. Human belief systems would not allow it to be
otherwise. Some of the most striking of the spontaneous OBEs are now often identified as near
death experiences(NDEs) (Monroe 8).
The typical NDE often begins as an out of body experience during which the NDEer observes
things that he or she could not possibly see from the location of the inert and unconscious body
(Duncan 45). At age eleven, a subject from a study in Seattle experienced cardiac arrest and was
without a heartbeat for twenty minutes.
I heard a whooshing sound in my ears, he told the doctor. I felt like you feel when you go over a
bump in a car going real fast and you feel your stomach drop out. The next thing I knew, I was in a
room, crouched in a corner of the ceiling. I could see my body below me. . . . I could see doctors
and nurses working on me. My doctor was there and so was Sandy, one of the nurses. I heard
Sandy say I wish we didn t have to do this. I wondered what they were doing. I saw

  • 3. The United States Foreign Policy The United States Foreign policy in the Middle East Since the United States became the world s sole superpower, the Middle East has been seen as the most troublesome region in the world by US politicians. This view emanates from all the conflicts going in the Middle East that have the potential to threaten numerous strategic interests for the united Stated such as oil, terrorist, and Israel. Yet Middle East has never seen as problematic as it is now due to the excessive flux of problems the Middle East is struggling with. This increasingly conflicting nature of the region demands the US policymakers to reevaluate American policy in the Middle East to secure US interests. In the Persian Gulf, Britain protected Saudi Arabia and the other small states in the Arabian Peninsula especially when they became oil producers. British paid Jordan s bills, supplied, and ran the army during 1950s . London backed North Yemen to combat the rising threat of Egypt in the Arabian Peninsula to Iraq s designs on Kuwait. British view of the region was not the favorite to Americans. The United States prevented France and Britain from overthrowing Gamal Abd al Nasser in 1956. In part for that reason, when Britain announced its withdrawal from East of Suez in 1971, Eisenhower Administration was reluctant to their place. The United States tried to invest into regional proxies primarily Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia to serve protecting Western interests in the region. But in 1979, Shah of Iran was overthrown and replaced Ayatollah Khomeini. The threat his revolutionary Iranian state posed to American allies across the region led the United States to become militarily involved in the Persian Gulf for the first time, a commitment expanded when Iran s defeat (with American assistance) in the Iran Iraq War created the opportunity for Saddam Hussain to invade Kuwait and pose a threat to the region s vital oil exports. Indeed, in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, George Bush Administration tried to eliminate some of the region s problems perpetually by military ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From the start, I decided to implement one of the main lessons I learned from my first visit, so I left my house with ample time to get to the venue, and accidentally arrived before the front of house engineer did. Luckily, there were a few assistant engineers there, and they let me in. One was an intern named Kyle from The Art Institutes of Philadelphia. The other was a guy that went by the name Badge. I later found out the he was the monitor engineer. Shortly after, Joe, the front of house engineer, showed up. They were all easy going guys. Before they set up the stage, they all worked on... The band also had a DJ, who was placed on a riser upstage, stage right. I actually got to help patch that. We took the stereo outs, XLR, of his controller directly into the main patch. I am assuming that Joe meant the main snake when he said that. I gave him the cables and he took them under the stage, so I did not actually get to see where the other side was patched in. I followed him around while he finished setting things up on stage. There were for keyboards total. They were all patched as mono into different DI boxes. I asked him why mono instead of stereo, and he said that usually he would do stereo. However, in this case it was easier to do mono sends since keyboards would be changing position on the stage throughout the night. During this time he gave me the advice he says he gives everyone just coming into the business. Safety first. He told me that I did not want a sandbag to fall on someone, and to trust him on that. • 5. The Women In “Trifles”. The Play “Trifles” , Written By The Women In Trifles The play Trifles , written by Susan Glaspell allows us to experience the gender divide in the early nineteen hundreds. While the play title gives the reader the idea that the story will be trivial or unimportant, it is anything but. The play focuses on the fact that women are considered other or an object (Beauvoir, 8). This is the complete opposite of men who are considered the subject , which holds immense amount of values. These two definitions are polar opposites. In the piece Second Sex, Beauvoir goes onto explain that this distinct difference between genders cause women to lose their humanity or individuality. In this world, women have no authority since they are nothing more than objects for men to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the beginning of the play it is obvious that our characters are vastly different levels of importance. The men gain their importance from the type of people they are. The women, on the other hand are defined by the men that they have married. The critic Beauvoir mentions in chapter five of The Second Sex that Marriage is the reference by which the single woman is defined (Beauvoir, 502). In society a woman only hold value based on the man that she has married. In Trifles all the men are addressed by their birth given first or last names. However all the women within the play are addressed by their last name given to them by marrying their husbands. Beauvoir goes onto say that marriage was supposed to be a free choice between both spouses and that the desire of marriage should be reciprocal. However, it has developed into a woman s responsibility to marry, take her husband s last name, stay at home and be a housewife (Beauvoir, 502). This concept is portrayed when Mrs. Hale describes Minnie before she married Mr. Wright: I heard she used to wear pretty clothes and be lively, when she was Minnie Foster (Glaspell, 984). Minnie was once her own individual who lived her life depending on what she wanted to do. However, once she married Mr. Wright she lost her individuality and became his object. • 9. Bull Trout Research Paper Introduction: The Bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) in the family Salmonidae and are a char native to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Montana and western Canada. Compared to other salmonids, bull trout have more specific habitat requirements that appear to influence their distribution and abundance (USFWS, 2015). Bull trout were historically regarded as pests due to their voracious predatory behavior. It was thought that bull trout depleted populations of more desirable game fish by feeding on them when they were very small thus supposedly depleting the numbers. In fact at one point there was a bounty placed on bull trout tails in Canada to encourage fisherman to rid the waters of this Bully, which effectively eliminated them from certain watersheds (Donald, D. B., and D. J. Alger. 1993). At one time in the early 1900 s the Bull Trout thrived in the waterways of the Northwest. Congress merely intensified these feelings of hatred by passing laws such as the executive order 9066. The Fifth Amendment s command states that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law. During the Japanese American internment, the Japanese American s were forced from their homes and made to go into makeshift concentration camps. This is a deprivation of life, through forcing the Japanese to give up their normal routine lives for national security. It is a deprivation of liberty because the Japanese were confined in a set space and not allowed to venture past the area. The Japanese property was also seized and confiscated which is another direct violation of the fifth commandment. The government continued to break many of its own laws in the process of justice. But is this justice really moral? • 15. A Political Campaign Analysis The political campaign environment in the United States changed in 2010 with the allowance of unlimited independent expenditures by outside entities in elections. The courts decisions in Citizens United and SpeechNow.org further increases Americans concerns regarding an undue influence of money in politics. This, coupled with increasing polarization and congressional gridlock in the U.S. House of Representatives, promotes skepticism of the political process. Polarization and gridlock create perceptions that representatives do not represent the average voter preferences but represent big moneyed interests (Briffault, 2011; Gilbert and Aiken, 2015) and donors, who are more ideologically extreme than the average voter (Barber, 2014). Outside money that supports or opposes a particular partisan candidate can increase the level of electoral conflict and promote a greater rallying effect around ideological partisan leanings of particular candidacies. • 17. Difference Between Heretic And Hypocrite Heretic and Hypocrite The Christian faith is complex. It is a religion that preaches love, but centered at many hate rallies and speeches. Within the recent stretch of years especially, surrounding millennials and increase in crises, Christianity has entirely developed into a new beast. Due to hypocrisy within the Catholic Church, many are turned away by what it has become. The largest issues stem from the smallest of issues. A community grows from one individual, and if the individual takes on a different personality due to its environment, the community will become toxic. Catholicism is no longer about serving God, but changing and taking on a different persona entirely. Today, serving God seems to have fallen from priority, replaced by Gospel gossip and conforming. Much of this creates fairly hostile environments that pressure individuals to change themselves to fit the molds set before them. Members become very judgmental and tied in with the gossip of their faith. • 19. The Social Contract Theory Essay 1a. The Social Contract Theory According to the Social Contract Theory, it suggests that all individuals must depend on an agreement/ or contract among each person to form a society, in which they live in. The concept emphasizes authority over individuals, in other words, the social contract favors authority (e.g. the Sovereign) over the individuals, because men have to forfeit their personal right and freedom to the government, in exchange for protection and security, which I will further elaborate in this paper. However, for such is the nature of men, that howsoever may acknowledge many others to be more witty, or more eloquent, or more learned, and they will hardly believe there be many so wise as themselves . (Hobbes, 1651, p.184). However, individuals would believe that some men would be inferior or superior to them, as a result, each person in the state of nature is in fear of others who may attack for any reasons (e.g. gain, safety, and glory). But, men never wanted to live in fear, in contrary, they wanted peace in their life. In such dilemma, individuals must agree on rule to govern their actions. In other words, men enter the social contract, which requires them to give up their rights and freedom, and act upon the general rules to the sovereign. By agreeing to the mutual consent, individuals also agree to obey the laws, and submit their obedience to the sovereign. However, the sovereign, in exchange, must guaranty the safety and protection of each of its members for their rights and obedience. Nevertheless, the social contract theory make men lose their moral obligations, and forces men to act more civilize to ensure a functioning society for all its members. • 38. Why Should Students Be Allowed To Carry Concealed Weapons... Hunter Humphries Writing Skills II Dr. Woodberry December 2, 2017 Concealed Weapons on College Campuses Students walk college campuses thinking of homework, friends, social happenings, but rarely thinking about their safety. Students on college campuses are defenseless against an armed assailant because an armed assailant can shoot and harm many students in a short time before the police arrive. There are opposing views about allowing concealed weapons on college campuses, and the debate has been making news lately with the number of school shootings and people getting killed and injured rising. According to Robert Birnbaum in The Magazine of Higher Learning, More Guns advocates argue that college students and faculty should be able to carry weapons for their own protection, particularly since history has shown that colleges can t protect them from assailants (Birnbaum 7). For students to properly defend themselves against armed assailants, they should be allowed to carry concealed weapons on campus. One reason students should be allowed to carry concealed weapons on campus is because assailants would be more reluctant to open fire on a campus if they knew students were carrying concealed weapons. One way to protect against a mass shooter is to allow those who are licensed to carry their arms with them into school. Without concealed weapons, students are defenseless against an armed assailant. • 48. Summary Of The Poem What A Jerk What a jerk? That s him pushing the stone up the hill, the jerk (34 37): Seems like Mrs. Sisyphus, throughout the poem, is attempting to rule out her workaholic husband of any chance to explain himself or tell his side of the story on why he works a lot. The reader may even argue that there may be some valid complaints that she states but she s not all that sympathetic. There s this sense of complete hatred for her husband as if he s really a horrendous person, but in reality she s alone and hurt rather than angry. Throughout the poem, she comes across as very evil, diabolical, but in a softer sense. Her words don t seem to stick since they re more of a soft insult rather than harsh and rough, as if a little girl did not get the candy she wants so she s ignoring her mother for not buying her it, but she s calling her mean and all this in the moment, but then gets sad because she didn t get that piece of candy. If you take a look at the beginning stanzas of the poem, she says in her own words, I call it a stone it s nearer the size of a kirk. When he first started out, it just used to irk, but now its incenses me, and him, the absolute berk. I could do something vicious to him with a dirk. (2 5).
