Dj Kol Herc Hip Hop History
Like any style of music, hip hop has roots in other forms, and its evolution was shaped by many
different artists, but there s a case to be made that it came to life precisely on this day in 1973, at a
birthday party in the recreation room of an apartment building in the west Bronx, New York City. The
location of that birthplace was 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, and the man who presided over that historic
party was the birthday girl s brother, Clive Campbell better known to history as DJ Kool Herc,
founding father of hip hop.
When hip hop music first developed in the late 1970s, not many people knew about it. It was created
in the poorest districts of New York City by African American and Latino teenagers as part of a hip
hop scene that also produced breakdancing and graffiti art. Many of these young people were
unemployed, but some found work as DJs in discos where they learned deejaying techniques like how
to use two turntables and a DJ mixer to play records non stop. Sometimes they d also deejay at free
block parties in their neighbourhoods where they d play funk and disco tracks non stop and ask a
friend to act as their MC. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
New York duo Run DMC also used hooks in their songs but added hard rock guitar to create a popular
style called rap rock, and their 1986 album Raising Hell became hip hop s first top ten album. When

popular and their debut album Licensed To Ill became hip hop s first number one

How Did Margery Happened In William Shakespeare s Romeo...
Margery was sitting alone in her deck chair overlooking the pebbled beaches of Westward Ho! Where
she moved after her and her husband retired. She was reading Romeo and Juliet to herself for comfort,
and she thought back to the time she read the book to the love of her life. She reminisced about her
time in the RAF hospital during World War two. It all started on a cold, dark and gloomy night, where
all you could see in the sky was planes being blown up over the Northfork coastline . Margery was
looking up at the sky imagining everything that was going on. She suddenly heard a siren going off,
and instantly knew what it meant, a plane had gone down and there was men who needed help.
Margery rushed to the front to help out in anyway possible, she was there and that was when she saw
him lying there on a stretcher being rushed into surgery, he was screaming in agony because the pain
was too much for him to bear. Margery knew that the screaming was a good thing because it meant
that his burns were not that deep and he could be saved. Margery rushed into the infirmary to help care
for the rest of the men that were taken down in the bombings by the Luftwaffe, a swarm of the

Heidi Roizen, A Native Of Silicon Valley
Heidi Roizen, a native of Silicon Valley and naturally gifted entrepreneur in the technology ecosystem.
A sneak peek into her linked network profile says I love working with entrepreneurs and executives to
build great companies . She has brilliantly managed building a strong network around herself during
her course of life while concentrating on venture capitalism at the same time. She is outgoing, forward
thinker and she can foresee opportunities that others miss. She faced a tough time working as one of
the board directors in various companies and managing her strong network that she has built over the
years. I believe that her strong networking skills and her outgoing/jovial attitude has led to her success
and at no cost she should prioritize Venture Capitalism over Networking or vice versa. By adopting
certain methodologies and with strong will, it is possible to manage both. For Heidi Roizen, it will be
a cake walk. Heidi was great in maintaining and leveraging a network. She spent a lot of time to build
professional associations because of which T/Maker, her own venture gained popularity and success.
According to her, having access to people, consistency and performance were important factors in a
building a relationship. Her immense contribution in solving strategic issues at Apple, where she
worked as Vice President World Wide Developed Relations, is commendable. She was involved in

Title IX Legislation In 1972
This study will investigate the question: Did the passage of the Title IX Legislation in 1972 lead to
more women going to college? The main focus of my investigation will begin during the year of 1972,
to analyze if the Title IX did lead more women going to college. The first source I have selected for
my detailed analysis is The Impact of the Title IX. Barbara Winslow produced this source during the
year of 2009, to explain the major impact that the Title IX had on women. This source is relevant to
my specific investigation, because it focuses on keypoint information on the Title IX and primarily
focuses on the effect it had. This source explains how the Title IX impacted women back then, which
has relevance to my question because this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If it wasn t for the passing of the Title IX Legislation, many women wouldn t have the same
opportunities as they have today. Males would usually play in sports, such as football, soccer, baseball
etc. Now the participation of females have increased, and women are now given the opportunity to
play sports in college. Times have definitely changed now because of the Title IX. If it wasn t passed
in 1972, there would be chaos. Mainly because the love for sports does not only imply toward men,
but women too! Both of these quotes demonstrate the amount of women participating in sports and are
entering college is highly increasing. Not only did the Title IX increase the opportunities that women
had, but it also made women regain their confidence. The evidence that I used within my investigation
is valuable because it highlights key point information and provides the reader with insight on the
amount of women playing sports today. However, this evidence does have its limitations. The quote
does provide the percentage of women that are athletes in college, but it also does not acknowledge
the percentage of males, which of course is still dramatically higher than the women s percentage.
However, the quote should acknowledge the amount of men who play sports in college as well.
Reason being is practically because men should be acknowledged just as much as

Taking a Look at Four-Dimensionalism
Four dimensionalism is often seen in the field of metaphysics as a strong and sound solution to many
puzzles. Whether that s the Antinomy of Constitution, the Ship of Theseus, or the Paradox of Increase,
four dimensionalism always appears as a probable solution. But, four dimensionalism is not the all
powerful solution it appears to be at first glance. The theory itself has many repercussions if it is taken
to be true, leading me to dispute its overall validity. So what exactly is the four dimensional theory?
To begin, we must understand what the dimensions of our world are. We experience the first three
dimensions on a daily basis; namely, length, width, and height. These three dimensions are typically
referred to as the spatial dimensions. The next, fourth, dimension is then considered to be time. We
cannot specifically see time but we know that time is continually moving forward and we are subject
to its progression. Four dimensionalism then exclaims that objects consist of all four dimensions,
splitting objects into spatial and temporal parts. We see the spatial components when we look at an
object but the temporal component is harder to see. Essentially, the four dimensionalist believes that
an object is never wholly present at one instance in time but rather consists of the spatial components
and all of the temporal components. This is seen as the theory of perdurance and is accepted by four
dimensionalists (Lewis). So when we hold an object, say a

Life And Death By Woody Allen
Have you ever thought about what you will see after death? In Christianity, people believe in going to
heaven or hell after death. In Buddhism, people believe in transmigration, which allows our souls go
to another body without our memory. I do not believe in any religion, so I have no idea where we will
go after death. However, no matter where will we go, I bet most people will regret something in their
lives before they die. For example, we did not treasure the time with friends and family, try to finish
some unachievable task or pursue our dream. In Death Knocks , Woody Allen distributes a different
perspective on life and death, which makes me think deeply about life and death. The main character,
Nat, is living as an old dress manufacturer in Brooklyn. One day, Death comes to find him and tell
him Nat is dead. Nat does not believe that until he sees Death is almost break his neck climbing in the
bedroom window. Unlike Death in a movie or religion, Allen gives us a new perspective on Death s
outlook. Death might look exactly same as us and we can talk, argue or negotiate with the Death, such
as Nat requested Nat: Give me some time. Another day (Allen, P.1282). I have never thought about
what Death looks like since I am a teenager and Death seems so far away from us. But when I am
getting older, I will start to realize that Death is popping up in my life. Some strangers in my life
disappear. Although I do not want to admit it, everyone will dead and that is the cycle

Witch Trials In The Late Medieval Era
It s the turn of an era, the Late Medieval era is ending and the Early Modern era is beginning, the
protestant reformation was happening causing widespread fear in Christians around the world as the
fear that the devil could be anywhere leading Christians away from the light of their lord, The most
feared sect of devil worshippers were the witches and sorcerers, who were believed to have given their
soul to the devil in return for wicked powers beyond the understanding and sight of man. The first
allowance of witch trials was by the Pope Innocent VIII s with his issuing of the Summis desiderantes
affectibus (in the late Medieval era) which declared that witches were real and that the Inquisition had
papal authority to try them, In 1542 England passed a law making it a crime to be a witch with the
punishment being death, later it was repealed, but was restored by a new act in 1562, Many laws and
decrees like these were issued throughout the Christian world from 1484 to the end of the witch trials
in 1782.
The early days of the Witch Trials in Europe and America were marked with many small trials held in
villages throughout both continents with the first being recognized as the burning of accused witches
in Valais Switzerland in 1428 with the estimated prosecuted being somewhere from 100 to 200 this is

Ap Psychology Unit 4
2) Isolation/causation. Isolation is if only thing changing is that which is being manipulated whether
up or down, then the change in effect is caused by the change in IV (the thing manipulated). It is
harder to get isolation from psychology, than that from physical experiments. In experiments, even in
a double blind study, the IV and subjects are changing. This can prove to make things even more
difficult when the DV is based on the subject, the change on the DV may be due to difference in
samples and not on changes due to the IV. Where a confounding variable is the environment or
situation, the difference in subjects such as age or gender is a subject variable. This is important to

Compulsive or obsessive are broad terms. Questions like do you feel anxious? Do you repeat your
actions?
Empirical
Divergent/ Discriminant validity is a measurement of a construct if the item does not correlate with
measure of the construct, which is almost never done. Example would be a test of obsessive by
measuring a person s reaction to a question on their favorite colour.
Convergent validity is a measure as a construct to the extent that the item correlates with what it
should correlate if it is a measure of the construct, usually by Pearson correlation. Measure can be
positive or negatively correlated. For example, how many times do you knock on a door positively
correlating to compulsive to how many times you quietly meditate being negatively correlated.
5) Imputation (missing values).
Deductive is the first method typically used for missing values. This relies on data missing that was
overlooked but easily calculated or sometimes may be slight estimations. For example, knowing that
highest level of education is college, they left completed high school blank could be answered from
previous question. However, one might take an estimation on something such as missing age, since the
person states being born in 1986, we can estimate that they are likely 30 years

Social media is the new generation fad and while most entrepreneurs use it to their advantage to
advertise their business, there are many more who believe it is unnecessary. According to Hubspot,
92% of marketers in 2014 claimed that social media marketing was important for their business, with
80% indicating their efforts increased traffic to their websites. And according to Social Media
Examiner, 97% of marketers are currently participating in social media but 85% of participants aren t
sure what social media tools are the best to use (DeMer, 2014). Today, social media is widely used in
online marketing and a lot of people build their businesses just sitting at home, without having to
invest in anything. However, there are still some businessmen who believe that customers will come
to them as long as their product/service is good through word of mouth. Online networking is the best
stage for uniting a brand with its forthcoming customers and an extraordinary medium for mingling
and interfacing. It additionally empowers the organization to determine client protests and offer pay, in
this way enhancing client administration. One who is not out there on online networking can t
interface with its purchasers and will fall back in the opposition. Online networking empowers

A Brief Note On Moroccan Family Law Reform
Emily Schwartz
Introduction to International Studies
Research Paper
5 November 2014
Moroccan Family Law Reform
In modern Muslim societies, family law tends to serve as a powerful tool, and its regulation as a
political and social construction raises various questions about the political life and role for women.
Since 1958, the debate about women and there family status has taken a critical role in how the family
life in Muslim societies play out. Gender equality is a feature of the national constitution, yet the law
tends to continually restrict women s rights and their freedoms. It dictates the submissive role women
hold relative to male counterparts and also how the law limits what women may inherit or own. Even
when the law continues to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This improved the status of women in the private and public sphere of society. When women s rights
activists were advocating changes in family law, they used an Islamic framework to base their
mission.
Some reforms to the Mudawana was the participation of women in the family setting. Some of the
reforms that were achieved include the right of autonomous decision making in issues about legal
affairs without guardianship of a male. It also included equal responsibility for children and ownership
over the household and finances. These reforms provide a usable agglomeration of women s rights and
their voices within the Moroccan family setting (Kelly Breslin 2010). The assembly and
organizational success of the family law campaign in Morocco has been viewed as a positive model
for activists of women s rights in the Middle East and have been adopted in different cultures.
Under Mudawana law of 1950, women were considered minors under the guardianship of their male
guardian (Harrak 2009). Women could not be married without the signature and consent of her male
guardian, or wali. A woman could be legally married at the age of 15 while her male counterpart could
be married at the age of 18 (Sadiqi 2003). A woman could not be employed and could not obtain a
passport without the permission of her male guardian. Women could also lose custody of their children

Satyagraha, By Mahatma Gandhi
In 1869, one of the most prominent and influential men to ever live was born. Mohandas Karamchand
Gandhi was born in Gujarat, India. Known for leading India to its eventual freedom and inspiring
movements across the world, Gandhi became India s Father of the Nation . His non violent and non
cooperative civil disobedience provided a sense of truth and firmness. Better known as Satyagraha, as
coined by Gandhi, became one of the best methods to fight injustices. Around the world, Satyagraha
has proven to work amongst others besides the Indians. In 1905, thousands of workers protested in
Russia to overthrow the Tsar and for better working conditions for the peasant working class. Not only
did it work in the 20th century, but Satyagraha has worked in the 21st century. In 2005, a breakdown
occupying the Faroe Islands commenced leaving all workers to protest in hopes for raises throughout
their civil disobedience acts. During the 1980s, the US government used the Marshall Islands as a
nuclear test site and natives used non violent protests in hopes to end the lease and be able to return
back to their homes. While Satyagraha was a concept developed in 1906, the method is constantly
used and was used even before Gandhi.
Around the same time Gandhi was born, Satyagraha was imminent throughout Russia. During the late
19th century, Russia s autocracy was under attack. In 1894, Nicolas II replaced Alexander III and
attempted to make several liberal reforms, but the reforms failed.

The Increasing Weight Of The Union
The increasing weight of the Union since its creation in 1951 has elevated the community to the
international stage as an indubitable power and encouraged the debate about the characterization of
the EU, fostered by the involvement from European political science scholars. Scholars have came up
with a sui generis definition of the EU in the sense that it neither is an intergovernmental organization
nor a federal state.4 Still, the novelty of the Union does not bound itself to the definition of the nature
of European institutional set up. Indeed, the discussion between scholars goes further towards the
characterization of the European power.
To understand Manner s theory, let us first have a look at its inspirations. The concept of civilian
power (CP) was mostly developed by F.Duchêne in 1973. He defined it as a civilian group long on
economic power and relatively short on armed forces .5 This concept can be said to be the basis of
Manners NPE theory. Moravcsik deepened F.Duchêne s definition arguing that the EU s CP «does not
lie in the deployment of battalions or bomber, but rather in the quiet promotion of democracy and
development through trade, foreign aid and peacekeeping». 6 In a word, both definitions imply that
CP privileges means others than military ones in its foreign policy. As a matter of fact, the civilian
conceptualization of Europe puts the emphasis on negociacion, multilateralism, economic instruments
and diplomacy rather than privileging a

The Affirmative Of Affirmative Action Essay
Many affirmative action efforts have been made since the end of the Civil War in order to remedy the
results of hundreds of years of slavery, segregation and denial of opportunity for groups that face
discrimination. Many African Americans such as President Barack Obama, Senator Cory Booker, the
writer Toni Morrison, the literary scholar Henry Louis Gates, media star Oprah Winfrey, and rap star
Jay Z have achieved positions of power and influence in the wider society (Giddens, Duneier,
Appelbaum, Carr). However, today blacks and other minorities are still more likely to live in poverty,
be killed by the police, attend poor schools, and have unequal economic opportunities. This object of
this paper is to understand why affirmative action is still needed in the United State by discussing the
differences between whites and racial/ethnic minorities access to education and employment.
Racial Inequality in Educational Attainment in America Historically, African American, Latino and
Native American students were educated in wholly segregated schools whose funding rates were
several times lower than schools made up of all white students. These minority students were also
being excluded from many higher institutions (Darling Hammond). This happened until legal
segregation came to an end in the 1960s and many efforts were made to equalize school funding.
These efforts have made a substantial difference for student achievement and significantly narrowed

The Amistad
The Amistad was a Spanish ship built in Baltimore for the purpose of transporting slaves. For three
years, it sailed the high seas delivering its cargo to various locations. But in August of 1838, a
scandalous injustice was uncovered after the ship was seized by an American vessel, the USS
Washington, a coast guard ship under the command of Lt. Thomas R. Gedney. Lt. Gedney and his
crew towed the Amistad into a New England harbor in Connecticut where soon many controversies
amounted and drama would unfold.

at $40,000, not including the Africans, who were an additional $20,000 $30,000 on the Havana

Slave trade had been outlawed in the United States colonies for almost 30 years and in Spain for 19.
Feeling something was wrong with the stories surrounding this vessel, Mr. Hollabird ordered a judicial
hearing. The call for the hearing was not out of concern for the Africans, but, Mr. Hollabird, as a
representative of the law, had to follow legal procedures of an investigation. The matter of murder,
piracy, salvage rights and more sent this case to trial, and the Africans were placed in detainment
under the custody of the US Marshall. The case appeared before Judge Andrew Judson.
Abolitionists were very active during this time in history. After they became aware of this case, they
decided to become involved on behalf of the Africans. They were to use this case as a means of
publicizing the evils of the African slave trade and slavery itself.
Lewis Tappan, a descendant of Benjamin Franklin, wanted to change the world. As an admitted
Christian evangelistic abolitionist, he firmly believed slavery was a moral wrong and openly opposed

The Three Little Pigs By Joseph Jacobs
The Three Little Pigs is a classic fairytale about three pigs who build each their own house, and the
wolf who tries to devour the pigs by blowing down their house. The Three Little Pigs has it origins
from James Orchard Halliwell in Popular Rhymes and Nursery Tales (1849) in England. Halliwell s
rendition was the first known print version in the world. Joseph Jacobs wrote the world s most popular
rendition in his English Fairy Tales (1898). In the 1880, Joel Chandler Harris made The Three Little
Pigs popular in the United States in Tales of Uncle Remus (1880). Walt Disney had a large influence
on The Three Little Pigs in 1933, when Disney made a short film of The Three Little Pigs in Disney s

On the Contrary, Practical Pig works all day building a strong, sturdy house composed of bricks. Fifer
and Fiddler complete their houses briskly with much ease and have time to play for the rest of the day.
While Practical Pig is building, his two brothers play and poke fun at him for working so hard.
Practical Pig attempts to warn the brothers saying, You can play and laugh and fiddle. Don t think you
can make me sore. I ll be safe and you ll be sorry when the Wolf comes through your door! (The Three
Little Pigs). Then, the Big Bad Wolf arrives, sneaking up on Fifer and Fiddler. The two brother hastily

little resistance saying, I ll huff and I ll puff and I ll blow your house in. (The Three Little Pigs). Fifer
is able to elude the wolf and seek refuge in Fiddler s house. Next, the Wolf pretends to admit defeat
and go home, but he returns later disguised an innocent, baby sheep. The pigs are not fooled by the
disguise and promptly say, Not by the hair of our chinny chin chin! You can t fool us with that old

Sustainable Wood Flooring
We all want to do our part to help save our planet. Nevertheless, most of us do not like to be told what
we should purchase or what we should not consider purchasing. We have been encouraged to wean
ourselves away from incandescent light bulbs, and switch to energy saving bulbs, which we have now
grown accustomed to, and in many cases have come to prefer, but what about flooring? Fortunately,
flooring is also an area where you can go green, and do so in style. It is indeed possible to have great
looking wood flooring in your home without contributing to worldwide deforestation. Wood Flooring
and Sustainable Wood Flooring Your choices are many. Going green does not have to mean going
without wood floors to keep trees from being harvested. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cork oak tree itself is the responsible party in this case, as the flooring material comes from bark
that is shed from the tree. There is no need to cut a single tree down. The flooring material lies
scattered around its base. Cork is also extensively used as core material for engineered wood flooring.
Other Types of Sustainable Flooring Engineered wood is another good example of sustainable flooring
material, since it only a small percentage of it is solid wood. The rest is scrap or recycled material. The
same is true to an even greater extent with laminates. Although supplies are somewhat limited,
recycled wood such as antique wood is an option. Old barn wood was once a very popular choice and
still is, but old barns are unfortunately not sustainable, and are becoming scarcer with each passing
year. There many examples of non wood sustainable flooring, including stone, ceramic, vinyl, rubber,
and of course, carpeting. Many if not most homeowners like to have at least some wood flooring in
their homes however. Fortunately, the choices of sustainable wood flooring are many and varied. Have
no fear of going green. There are more attractive options available to you than you might

Tuberculosis As A Contagious Disease Essay
Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly contagious disease that could cause death if it is not treated. TB is
caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and it affects the lungs and other human organs
(Frith, 2014). Tuberculosis is an airborne disease that could be transmitted by sneezing, coughing, and
speaking. According to world health organization (WHO), 9.6 million people were affected by
Tuberculosis and 1.5 million died from the disease in 2014 worldwide. 9,421 cases of Tuberculosis
were reported in United States in 2014 which has declined comparing to 26,673 cases reported in
1992. According to Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there are seven high risk factor
countries that are affected by Tuberculosis. Mexico, Philippines, Vietnam, India, china, Haiti, and
Guatemala are the countries which still have high risk of Tuberculosis infection. Throughout history
Tuberculosis was associated with different names. Some of those names are: phthisis and consumption
in 18th century, white death and the great white plague in 19th century and other names to describe the
horror caused by the disease. Previously people have used human breast milk, eating wolf livers,
drinking elephant urine, and etc.as a treatment for TB (Frith,2014). In 21st century Tuberculosis is
treated by medications like: isoniazid (INH), Rifampin (RIF), Rifapentine (RPT), Ethambutol (EMB),

The Book Of Martha Analysis
The Purpose in Life
The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are alive
before death (Rajneesh, n.d.). This short story narrates about a woman named Martha Bes that
apparently died. The main character is debating whether or not she is alive or dead. Also she goes
about asking what God wanted her to do. The book of Martha written by Octavia Butler uses literary
elements to present the overall message what is God s purpose in life.
One such literary element used to present the story s theme is the setting. First she was sitting at her
computer, wrapping up one more day s work on her fifth novel (Octavia, 2003). Then she felt stiff and
stopped working at five in the morning. Suddenly, she asks her self where she was. and in a surprising
way she started telling herself that she could not be in heaven. Martha s descriptions of an endless
grayness creates a mood of gloominess. In addition, describing that there was nothing there but herself
and God, made the reader felt depressive. Discovering where the story took place helps the reader
understand more in depth the story.
Another literary element that presents the story s theme is the plot. According to Routledge (2013) the
Hades is an ancient Greek that means a place where the wicked dead reside and are punished. The

Comparing The Angel Of Death With The Proud King And The...
In The Angel of Death with the Proud King and the Devout Man in Arabian Nights, Shahrazad is
trying to convey the importance of faith and faithfulness to the king. In the past, he has always
overlooked the importance of religion and faith, and how it can affect the choices he makes.
Shahrazad conveys this when she tells the king the story of The Angel of Death with the Proud King
and the Devout Man. In this story, when the proud king, who does not consider himself a devout man,
is chosen by the Angel of Death, he asks for some time to take leave of his children, family, and
people. This conveys that he does not put his faith first and that this will eventually have a negative
impact on his outcome in life. The second time the Angel of Death

shown in diagram 1, we can clearly see that the conditions where both act applies are different and
somewhat similar. Under s. 4B in TPA, the conditions which differ from FTA conditions stated in
s32D are: ➢ Sellers are only corporations under TPA while all sellers come under the FTA. ➢ FTA
applies to transactions within the State of Victoria whereas TPA applies to both interstate and
international transactions. ➢ FTA is applicable to conditions where communication methods are used

that the acts apply to consumers who purchase goods or services worth less than $40000 and when the
price is more than $40000, then the goods or services consumed should be used for personal, domestic
or household purposes. Goods which are purchased for resale or goods used as inputs in the

History Of The Confederate Flag
Chase Jones
History of the confederate flag
In the past couple of year, there has been a controversial battle over the flying of the Confederate Flag
on government buildings. The controversy has really started to stir up in the southern states such as
South Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia. On January 30, 2001, the state of Georgia changed its flag,
removing the large Confederate battle cross from the 1956 design and replacing it with the state seal
of Georgia. Now, the state of Mississippi is the only state that fearlessly displays the Southern Cross in
its state flag. Though several Southerners see the Confederate Flag as a symbol of southern pride and
heritage, many others see the flag as a dishonorable reminder of slavery and segregation in the south.
Although this flag is under great controversy in the southern states, there is no reason why this flag
should not be flown from government buildings because it isn t demoralizing African Americans in the
symbolization of slavery, segregation and domination although it is used by many hate groups across
the united states they too need a history lesson because the confederate flag only started as a battle
flag that some blacks fought under and held with pride.
The Confederate Flag is a demoralizing symbol to many African Americans in the United States. To a
number of African Americans because they think this flag is a symbol of slavery and the domination
whites had over slaves during the time of the civil war. This flag is

Role Of Destruction In Macbeth
Macbeth s Destruction Some have experienced a time when they have done the inevitable in retrieving
what they want; however, very few have done appalling actions in achieving their goal. What many do
not understand is these actions could guide anyone to their end, along with anyone or anything who
has influenced in the process. In Shakespeare s play, The Tragedy of Macbeth , Macbeth s desperate
measures are caused by his influences in gaining what he desires; be that as it may, lead to the
foundation of his destruction. Throughout the play, the whole reason why Macbeth begun this
deranged plan in becoming king in the first place was caused by the three witches. For instance, they

Once Macbeth was told his future by the witches, he spoke about how stars, hide your fires/ let not
light see my black and deep desires. (I. 4. 50 51). It is indicated that Macbeth has his mind set in
gaining his desires and making them come true. However, it is stated that Macbeth s loss of freedom is
reflected in the diminishing proportion of thought to deed that characterizes his behavior in the course
of the play (Cantor). As Macbeth uses his ambition to his advantage, he slowly loses his freedom
because he is losing his humanity by killing. For instance, he states how it is For mine own good/ All
causes shall give way/ I am in blood stepped in so far that/ should I wade no more. (III. 4. 135 137).
Macbeth s ambition leads him to believe that everything he is doing, is for his own well being; that it
was his right to become king, no matter what the costs. The original Macbeth assumed the kingship,
perhaps reviving his father s claim (Woolf). Both Macbeth s connect because they believe the throne
belongs to them one overthrew Duncan because he was not the rightful ruler; the other assumed he
would be the better king because the witches told him his future. Even though it was Macbeth s
ambition that guided him to do these heinous acts, they were not suitable choices to choose

Examples Of Greediness In The Book Of Proverbs
Greediness
In the book of proverbs we are given advice to help us in our daily lives. An important theme in
proverbs is greediness. Greediness in this generation is very common especially in adolescents. Most
teenagers these days are more concerned about what s in the media and what the new trend is. For
example the hover boards, phone accessories, jewelry, lipsticks, makeup, etc. In our generation
everyone thinks that if you have the latest gadget or trend you are popular, but that is where everyone
misses the point. In reality none of these things matter, what really matters is your character, morality,

I never really thought going back would cost me in the long run, Monti says (Tyler). In today s society,

Frank Norris s Mcteague
Since the beginning of time, humans like animals, possess certain innate behaviors that both are
naturally born with. For example, animals are born, taken care of and spend their life making sure they
have enough food in order to survive and in the end, reproduce. Similarly, humans also possess a
natural instinct to survive, consume, and reproduce in order to keep this on going cycle alive. The
comparison between humans and animals at time may disturb certain people due to the simplification
and degradation of the human race. However, it is this naturalistic view in life that certain individuals
believe should not be shielded from the public in order to protect people and instead, believe it is
necessary to educate as many people possible in the reasoning and acceptance of mankind s innate
actions. The novel McTeague, written by Frank Norris, is a book that demonstrates an individual s
natural behaviors and desires which continues to be carried out by people today just as it has been
since the beginning of time. It is through McTeague, that Frank Norris illustrates mankind s
naturalistic behavior that not only grabs the attention of the readers but infuriates the public as well.

Could people be cloned without conscious brains, so their body parts could be harvested with fewer
moral worries? Could vital organs be grown using cloning without the rest of the body? (New
Scientist, 2003). Could a woman clone herself or her husband to have a child? The idea of humans
someday cloning themselves (created from a cell without sexual reproduction) is now closer to reality
(Daniel Levine, 2001).
Types of Cloning
There are actually two types of cloning: reproductive cloning and therapeutic cloning. Reproductive
cloning is making human beings asexually. In reproductive cloning, the offspring receives genetic
information from one parent through a duplication process in a laboratory. DreamTech International
states, All we need is a tiny swab of cell tissue from the inside of your mouth, which is used to obtain
the genetic material for producing an embryo with your DNA. If you are female, you have the option
of being implanted with the embryo yourself, or hiring a surrogate birther (2002). The reason for
doing this process could be for a number of reasons: to prevent congenital disorders, to propagate the
genes of someone who has had no children in the conventional manner, to have a specific type of
offspring, or in the situation of not being able to reproduce sexually (Dream Technologies
International, 2002). There is almost a universal agreement that cloning human beings is so unsafe

The two divisions were often on different pages and experienced communication challenges. This
created several pricing difficulties making it even harder to globally market the products. To further
the problem, the ID felt as though their R D received less than sufficient manufacturing resources,
which limited the ability to forecast the global market. Difficulties in communication slowed R D,
decision making, and required a major change in the organizational structure. Gill decided to increase
the capabilities of the ID and give specific regions more power in the decision making process.
Regionalization: New structures were formed in order to approach the ID problems. The
organizational reconstruction focused on speed of results, process to be driven by B L executives, and
input from as many B L employees as possible. A significant amount of time and money was
dedicated to creating a task force that was goal was to evaluate organizational structure. They
concluded that it was necessary for a fine tuning of the current organization structure, a regional
structure, a product region matrix, and a global product structure. Eventually the idea regionalization
was adopted by the Advisory Committee. The ID was to be dissolved and replaced by headquarters in
Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Western Hemisphere. Jobs in the ID were
reallocated to different divisions and new products were developed according to align with the region

Dj Kol HercHip Hop History Like any style of music, hip hop has roots in other forms, and its evolution was shaped by many different artists, but there s a case to be made that it came to life precisely on this day in 1973, at a birthday party in the recreation room of an apartment building in the west Bronx, New York City. The location of that birthplace was 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, and the man who presided over that historic party was the birthday girl s brother, Clive Campbell better known to history as DJ Kool Herc, founding father of hip hop. When hip hop music first developed in the late 1970s, not many people knew about it. It was created in the poorest districts of New York City by African American and Latino teenagers as part of a hip hop scene that also produced breakdancing and graffiti art. Many of these young people were unemployed, but some found work as DJs in discos where they learned deejaying techniques like how to use two turntables and a DJ mixer to play records non stop. Sometimes they d also deejay at free block parties in their neighbourhoods where they d play funk and disco tracks non stop and ask a friend to act as their MC. ... How Did MargeryHappened In William Shakespeare s Romeo... Margery was sitting alone in her deck chair overlooking the pebbled beaches of Westward Ho! Where she moved after her and her husband retired. She was reading Romeo and Juliet to herself for comfort, and she thought back to the time she read the book to the love of her life. She reminisced about her time in the RAF hospital during World War two. It all started on a cold, dark and gloomy night, where all you could see in the sky was planes being blown up over the Northfork coastline . Margery was looking up at the sky imagining everything that was going on. She suddenly heard a siren going off, and instantly knew what it meant, a plane had gone down and there was men who needed help. Margery rushed to the front to help out in anyway possible, she was there and that was when she saw him lying there on a stretcher being rushed into surgery, he was screaming in agony because the pain was too much for him to bear. Margery knew that the screaming was a good thing because it meant that his burns were not that deep and he could be saved. Margery rushed into the infirmary to help care for the rest of the men that were taken down in the bombings by the Luftwaffe, a swarm of the Messerschmitt 109 after their bombing raid over London. Heidi Roizen, ANative Of Silicon Valley Heidi Roizen, a native of Silicon Valley and naturally gifted entrepreneur in the technology ecosystem. A sneak peek into her linked network profile says I love working with entrepreneurs and executives to build great companies . She has brilliantly managed building a strong network around herself during her course of life while concentrating on venture capitalism at the same time. She is outgoing, forward thinker and she can foresee opportunities that others miss. She faced a tough time working as one of the board directors in various companies and managing her strong network that she has built over the years. I believe that her strong networking skills and her outgoing/jovial attitude has led to her success and at no cost she should prioritize Venture Capitalism over Networking or vice versa. By adopting certain methodologies and with strong will, it is possible to manage both. For Heidi Roizen, it will be a cake walk. Heidi was great in maintaining and leveraging a network. She spent a lot of time to build professional associations because of which T/Maker, her own venture gained popularity and success. According to her, having access to people, consistency and performance were important factors in a building a relationship. Her immense contribution in solving strategic issues at Apple, where she worked as Vice President World Wide Developed Relations, is commendable. Title IX LegislationIn 1972 This study will investigate the question: Did the passage of the Title IX Legislation in 1972 lead to more women going to college? The main focus of my investigation will begin during the year of 1972, to analyze if the Title IX did lead more women going to college. The first source I have selected for my detailed analysis is The Impact of the Title IX. Barbara Winslow produced this source during the year of 2009, to explain the major impact that the Title IX had on women. This source is relevant to my specific investigation, because it focuses on keypoint information on the Title IX and primarily focuses on the effect it had. This source explains how the Title IX impacted women back then, which has relevance to my question because this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If it wasn t for the passing of the Title IX Legislation, many women wouldn t have the same opportunities as they have today. Males would usually play in sports, such as football, soccer, baseball etc. Now the participation of females have increased, and women are now given the opportunity to play sports in college. Times have definitely changed now because of the Title IX. If it wasn t passed in 1972, there would be chaos. Mainly because the love for sports does not only imply toward men, but women too! Both of these quotes demonstrate the amount of women participating in sports and are entering college is highly increasing. Not only did the Title IX increase the opportunities that women had, but it also made women regain their confidence. The evidence that I used within my investigation is valuable because it highlights key point information and provides the reader with insight on the amount of women playing sports today. However, this evidence does have its limitations. The quote does provide the percentage of women that are athletes in college, but it also does not acknowledge the percentage of males, which of course is still dramatically higher than the women s percentage. However, the quote should acknowledge the amount of men who play sports in college as well. Reason being is practically because men should be acknowledged just as much as ... Taking a Lookat Four-Dimensionalism Four dimensionalism is often seen in the field of metaphysics as a strong and sound solution to many puzzles. Whether that s the Antinomy of Constitution, the Ship of Theseus, or the Paradox of Increase, four dimensionalism always appears as a probable solution. But, four dimensionalism is not the all powerful solution it appears to be at first glance. The theory itself has many repercussions if it is taken to be true, leading me to dispute its overall validity. So what exactly is the four dimensional theory? To begin, we must understand what the dimensions of our world are. We experience the first three dimensions on a daily basis; namely, length, width, and height. These three dimensions are typically referred to as the spatial dimensions. The next, fourth, dimension is then considered to be time. We cannot specifically see time but we know that time is continually moving forward and we are subject to its progression. Four dimensionalism then exclaims that objects consist of all four dimensions, splitting objects into spatial and temporal parts. We see the spatial components when we look at an object but the temporal component is harder to see. Essentially, the four dimensionalist believes that an object is never wholly present at one instance in time but rather consists of the spatial components and all of the temporal components. This is seen as the theory of perdurance and is accepted by four dimensionalists (Lewis). So when we hold an object, say a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Life And DeathBy Woody Allen Have you ever thought about what you will see after death? In Christianity, people believe in going to heaven or hell after death. In Buddhism, people believe in transmigration, which allows our souls go to another body without our memory. I do not believe in any religion, so I have no idea where we will go after death. However, no matter where will we go, I bet most people will regret something in their lives before they die. For example, we did not treasure the time with friends and family, try to finish some unachievable task or pursue our dream. In Death Knocks , Woody Allen distributes a different perspective on life and death, which makes me think deeply about life and death. The main character, Nat, is living as an old dress manufacturer in Brooklyn. One day, Death comes to find him and tell him Nat is dead. Nat does not believe that until he sees Death is almost break his neck climbing in the bedroom window. Unlike Death in a movie or religion, Allen gives us a new perspective on Death s outlook. Death might look exactly same as us and we can talk, argue or negotiate with the Death, such as Nat requested Nat: Give me some time. Another day (Allen, P.1282). I have never thought about what Death looks like since I am a teenager and Death seems so far away from us. But when I am getting older, I will start to realize that Death is popping up in my life. Some strangers in my life disappear. Although I do not want to admit it, everyone will dead and that is the cycle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Witch Trials InThe Late Medieval Era It s the turn of an era, the Late Medieval era is ending and the Early Modern era is beginning, the protestant reformation was happening causing widespread fear in Christians around the world as the fear that the devil could be anywhere leading Christians away from the light of their lord, The most feared sect of devil worshippers were the witches and sorcerers, who were believed to have given their soul to the devil in return for wicked powers beyond the understanding and sight of man. The first allowance of witch trials was by the Pope Innocent VIII s with his issuing of the Summis desiderantes affectibus (in the late Medieval era) which declared that witches were real and that the Inquisition had papal authority to try them, In 1542 England passed a law making it a crime to be a witch with the punishment being death, later it was repealed, but was restored by a new act in 1562, Many laws and decrees like these were issued throughout the Christian world from 1484 to the end of the witch trials in 1782. The early days of the Witch Trials in Europe and America were marked with many small trials held in villages throughout both continents with the first being recognized as the burning of accused witches in Valais Switzerland in 1428 with the estimated prosecuted being somewhere from 100 to 200 this is the recorded estimate until 1430 thereafter there are no records, this occurred after delegates from seven districts who urged authorities to investigate for sign of witchcraft ... Isolation is if only thing changing is that which is being manipulated whether up or down, then the change in effect is caused by the change in IV (the thing manipulated). It is harder to get isolation from psychology, than that from physical experiments. In experiments, even in a double blind study, the IV and subjects are changing. This can prove to make things even more difficult when the DV is based on the subject, the change on the DV may be due to difference in samples and not on changes due to the IV. Since 1958, the debate about women and there family status has taken a critical role in how the family life in Muslim societies play out. Satyagraha, By MahatmaGandhi In 1869, one of the most prominent and influential men to ever live was born. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Gujarat, India. Known for leading India to its eventual freedom and inspiring movements across the world, Gandhi became India s Father of the Nation . His non violent and non cooperative civil disobedience provided a sense of truth and firmness. Better known as Satyagraha, as coined by Gandhi, became one of the best methods to fight injustices. Around the world, Satyagraha has proven to work amongst others besides the Indians. In 1905, thousands of workers protested in Russia to overthrow the Tsar and for better working conditions for the peasant working class. Not only did it work in the 20th century, but Satyagraha has worked in the 21st century. In 2005, a breakdown occupying the Faroe Islands commenced leaving all workers to protest in hopes for raises throughout their civil disobedience acts. During the 1980s, the US government used the Marshall Islands as a nuclear test site and natives used non violent protests in hopes to end the lease and be able to return back to their homes. While Satyagraha was a concept developed in 1906, the method is constantly used and was used even before Gandhi. Around the same time Gandhi was born, Satyagraha was imminent throughout Russia. During the late 19th century, Russia s autocracy was under attack. In 1894, Nicolas II replaced Alexander III and attempted to make several liberal reforms, but the reforms failed. ... The Increasing WeightOf The Union The increasing weight of the Union since its creation in 1951 has elevated the community to the international stage as an indubitable power and encouraged the debate about the characterization of the EU, fostered by the involvement from European political science scholars. Scholars have came up with a sui generis definition of the EU in the sense that it neither is an intergovernmental organization nor a federal state.4 Still, the novelty of the Union does not bound itself to the definition of the nature of European institutional set up. Indeed, the discussion between scholars goes further towards the characterization of the European power. To understand Manner s theory, let us first have a look at its inspirations. The concept of civilian power (CP) was mostly developed by F.Duchêne in 1973. He defined it as a civilian group long on economic power and relatively short on armed forces .5 This concept can be said to be the basis of Manners NPE theory. Moravcsik deepened F.Duchêne s definition arguing that the EU s CP «does not lie in the deployment of battalions or bomber, but rather in the quiet promotion of democracy and development through trade, foreign aid and peacekeeping». 6 In a word, both definitions imply that CP privileges means others than military ones in its foreign policy. As a matter of fact, the civilian conceptualization of Europe puts the emphasis on negociacion, multilateralism, economic instruments and diplomacy rather than privileging a ... The Affirmative OfAffirmative Action Essay Many affirmative action efforts have been made since the end of the Civil War in order to remedy the results of hundreds of years of slavery, segregation and denial of opportunity for groups that face discrimination. Many African Americans such as President Barack Obama, Senator Cory Booker, the writer Toni Morrison, the literary scholar Henry Louis Gates, media star Oprah Winfrey, and rap star Jay Z have achieved positions of power and influence in the wider society (Giddens, Duneier, Appelbaum, Carr). However, today blacks and other minorities are still more likely to live in poverty, be killed by the police, attend poor schools, and have unequal economic opportunities. This object of this paper is to understand why affirmative action is still needed in the United State by discussing the differences between whites and racial/ethnic minorities access to education and employment. Racial Inequality in Educational Attainment in America Historically, African American, Latino and Native American students were educated in wholly segregated schools whose funding rates were several times lower than schools made up of all white students. These minority students were also being excluded from many higher institutions (Darling Hammond). This happened until legal segregation came to an end in the 1960s and many efforts were made to equalize school funding. These efforts have made a substantial difference for student achievement and significantly narrowed minority and white ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Book OfMartha Analysis The Purpose in Life The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are alive before death (Rajneesh, n.d.). This short story narrates about a woman named Martha Bes that apparently died. The main character is debating whether or not she is alive or dead. Also she goes about asking what God wanted her to do. The book of Martha written by Octavia Butler uses literary elements to present the overall message what is God s purpose in life. One such literary element used to present the story s theme is the setting. First she was sitting at her computer, wrapping up one more day s work on her fifth novel (Octavia, 2003). Then she felt stiff and stopped working at five in the morning. Suddenly, she asks her self where she was. and in a surprising way she started telling herself that she could not be in heaven. Martha s descriptions of an endless grayness creates a mood of gloominess. In addition, describing that there was nothing there but herself and God, made the reader felt depressive. Discovering where the story took place helps the reader understand more in depth the story. Another literary element that presents the story s theme is the plot. History Of TheConfederate Flag Chase Jones History of the confederate flag In the past couple of year, there has been a controversial battle over the flying of the Confederate Flag on government buildings. The controversy has really started to stir up in the southern states such as South Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia. On January 30, 2001, the state of Georgia changed its flag, removing the large Confederate battle cross from the 1956 design and replacing it with the state seal of Georgia. Now, the state of Mississippi is the only state that fearlessly displays the Southern Cross in its state flag. Though several Southerners see the Confederate Flag as a symbol of southern pride and heritage, many others see the flag as a dishonorable reminder of slavery and segregation in the south. Although this flag is under great controversy in the southern states, there is no reason why this flag should not be flown from government buildings because it isn t demoralizing African Americans in the symbolization of slavery, segregation and domination although it is used by many hate groups across the united states they too need a history lesson because the confederate flag only started as a battle flag that some blacks fought under and held with pride. However, it is stated that Macbeth s loss of freedom is reflected in the diminishing proportion of thought to deed that characterizes his behavior in the course of the play (Cantor). As Macbeth uses his ambition to his advantage, he slowly loses his freedom because he is losing his humanity by killing. For instance, he states how it is For mine own good/ All causes shall give way/ I am in blood stepped in so far that/ should I wade no more. (III. 4. 135 137). Macbeth s ambition leads him to believe that everything he is doing, is for his own well being; that it was his right to become king, no matter what the costs. The original Macbeth assumed the kingship, perhaps reviving his father s claim (Woolf). Both Macbeth s connect because they believe the throne belongs to them one overthrew Duncan because he was not the rightful ruler; the other assumed he would be the better king because the witches told him his future. Frank Norris sMcteague Since the beginning of time, humans like animals, possess certain innate behaviors that both are naturally born with.
