Girl And Girl By Jamaica Kincaid
Comparing and Contrasting If and Girl
Introduction: In Girl by Jamaica Kincaid and If by Rudyard Kipling are two poems that a girl
and boy that have a odd lifestyle. Girl is about a girl who has a mother that wants her to do
anything that her daughter doesn t want to do and in If there is a boy that has a father that is
encouraging and he is being told stuff by his dad. They both have a similar thing, they are both
poems and their endings aren t the same, different.
Similarity of Difference #1: Parent to kid poem is for If and Girl. In the poem Girl there is a lot of
mother and daughter talking about what the mother wants from her daughter and in If there is a lot
of father and son talking about what the father is telling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Demanding is that the mother is very demanding to her daughter by telling her to do stuff that she

parents that one is encouraging and the other parent is demanding to their kid, some different things

Describe Your Rocket Research Paper
Describe your rocket.
At the top of the rocket is the nose cone that guides the air around the rocket. Underneath the nose
cone is the parachute and the shroud lines that were used when the rocket was falling back down
to the ground. The body tube is made of rolled paper or plastic with a special coating so that it has
the strength, since it is the basic airframe of the rocket. The launch plug is on the side of the tube
that goes on the launch rod so that when the rocket first sets off, it is more controlled. At the
bottom of the rocket is the fins, the engine mount, engine, and igniter and plug. The fins are used
for guidance and the engine mount holds the engine in place inside the body tube. The Igniter and
plug is used as a safe way to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rockets are a very complex aircraft, using instructions are key, but if you follow the instructions
carefully then it is not hard to build. If you glue something together that doesn t need to be glued
could potentially ruin your rocket. I also learned that the bottom needs to be heavily glued together
because after I shot my rocket off, the bottom pieces came off and I lost the fins, the engine mount,
the engine, and the igniter and plug. Another thing that I learned, not necessarily about the rocket
itself but the conditions, is that it is probably better to not set off rockets when there is a lot of
wind. The rockets already travel far but if the parachute catches the wind then it would make the
rocket travel much farther.
3.) How does aerodynamics play apart in the flight of a rocket? Aerodynamics for a rocket is
about how the air flows over and around the rocket and also about how it affects the drag and
stability of the rocket. Aerodynamics is the study of the forces and the resulting motion of the
objects flying in the air. It depends on the shape, size, and velocity of the rocket, It plays apart in
the flight of the rocket because aerodynamics affects and goes hand and hand with the lift and drag
that is caused by the air moving around the rocket.
4.) What are the following forces and what do they do with the

The Journal Of The Elaine Race Riots
In the Journal of the Elaine Race Riots, I got to know the basic criticism that was for almost all
the Race Riots that had taken place. However, the sophisticated social, economic and racial
analysis of the Racial Riots was relatively new on the scholarly scene. It was, therefore, not
surprising comparatively to work that was been undertaken. The problems the poor Negroes
faced during the 1919 s. The Negroes had worked hard to raise the cotton crops but there was
some trouble regarding the settlements for the cotton crops. The white landlords and the
sharecroppers never went along with each other after the cotton was ready to be sold out. The
landlords use to sell their crops the way they felt was perfect according to them. Nothing was
owned by the poor black planters during the reimbursement which enumerated declarations of
financial records. Nor did they own an accounting of the wages established for cotton and seeds
that they grew. They were afraid of the whites. The technique of the secretarial that led to
suspected exploitations of filling debt by corrupt landowners and mediators. The articles stated that
the poor Negroes were always kept in debt by their landowners. They were helpless in the stride of
malicious corruption. Therefore, the Negroes have a secret meeting to discuss their scrape and
gather wages for the lawyers. The reports were based on facts that the Unions literature required
communal likeness and confrontation to justice. The articles stated that

Eva Braun s Definition Of The Word Evil
How could the woman behind the most deviant man in the history of the world go somehow
unnoticed. Was she a possible helping hand in what was the worst genocide in recent history?
Eva Braun is quite possibly the second hand definition of the word evil. Was her life really like
this? Could a women that lived a seemingly normal life be capable of such heinous crimes? Eva
Braunwas a right hand man to one of history s most notorious criminals, but perhaps in her own
light was not quite the woman that everybody makes her out to be.
Something that many people do not know about Eva is that, she was a simple woman who lived a
seemingly simple life. Eva Braun was born on February 6, 1912 to Friedrich and Franziska Braun,
in Munich Germany(3). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun never shared an intimate moment together or so it seems (Nobody
knew Hitler s true sexuality so this may of had an impact)(3).Their relationship was strictly
domestic and relaxatory rather than the usual erotic relationship that many couples share
today(9). They were merely close friends that thrived off of each others joy and companionship
in times of need(3). Another part of their relationship that was different than most is that it was
completely private. Hitler and Eva rarely appeared in public together(9). Even if they did, they
would not sit together or give any evidence that they were even acquaintances of one another(8).
This was hard on Eva, as she longed for his attention. She would often cry when he was not
around and it was apparent that he had a significant impact on her mood. She even went to
lengths as trying to take her own life at one point in time because she did not think she would
ever be good enough for him(3). This proved to change the views that Hitler had on the
relationship, as it started to drastically change(8). Soon after the incident they moved in together
and Eva started to arrange gatherings for Hitler s closest friends otherwise known as his inner
circle . It was not long after that they started to live together that they were married. It was in April
of 1945 in Berlin where the ceremony happened, tragically a day before both of their deaths.
Although they were close companions for many years, Eva never did

Should Anabolic Steroids Be Banned
Athletes are always looking for an edge on their competition, some choose to go as far as to use
anabolic steroids to modify their genetics. Anabolic steroids are used by athletes to improve
physical performance, as the synthetic hormone resembles testosterone and promotes muscle
growth. These substances are a part of the banned substances list, and are outlawed by all
professional sports organizations. But is it time to lift this ban? If steroids were widely accepted,
professional sports would become more entertaining, the playing field would become more even,
and the distribution and consumption of the enhancers would become safer. Steroids need to
become legalized to improve professional sports. Steroids are proven to make sports more
entertaining,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Much of the time steroids can be a dangerous business, as additives are put in to make the
steroids discreet in the body. According to professor, Julian Savulescu at the University of
Oxford, Because doping is illegal, the pressure is to make performance enhancers undetectable,
rather than safe. Performance enhancers are produced or bought on the black market and
administered in a clandestine, uncontrolled way with no monitoring of the athlete s health.
Allowing the use of performance enhancers would make sport safer as there would be less
pressure on athletes to take unsafe enhancers and a pressure to develop new safe performance
enhancers and to make existing enhancers more effective at safe dosages... . By legalizing this
performance enhancer, it would allow for big pharmaceutical companies to distribute safely to
athletes. No longer would athletes have to take dangerously high doses, because these
companies could make an incremental amount of the drug very potent. This is one the biggest
reasons why steroids remain illegal, is because they are seen as dangerous. But contrary to
popular belief, the legalization of steroids would make them more safe. The legalization of
steroids is needed to further professional sports. Many benefits can be had from this rule change.
It will bring excitement back to the fans and bring in more income for sports teams. Historic
records will seem attainable and will bring new fans to sports. It will allow for dreams of hard
working people to become a reality. Genetics would no longer be a hindrance. It will also make
steroids safer. So that athletes don t need to risk their health to become the best. If we see steroids
legalized, professional sports with enhance

The BSC takes forethought. It is not a tool you can just think up one night to solve a problem.
Instead, it is recommended that you hold a meeting to plan out what goals you would like to see
your company reach in each of the four above areas. Once you have clearly stated objectives, you
can then begin to break down these objectives in what you will need, financially, to bring these
objectives to fruition. 2. While the BSC gives you an overall view of the four areas for concern in
business growth and development, these four areas do not paint the whole picture. The financial
information included on the scorecard is limited. Instead, to be successfully implemented, the
balanced scorecard must be part of a bigger strategy for company growth that includes meticulous
accounting methods. 3. Many companies use metrics that are not applicable to their own situation.
It is vitally important when using balanced scorecards to make the information being tracked
applicable to your needs. Otherwise, the metrics will be meaningless. 4.

A Comparison Of Tam Lin And Tam Lin
The Scottish folk ballad Tam Lin is a ballad that has inspired quite a few retellings and
reinterpretations by contemporary writers and artists. Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones
and Tam Lin by Pamela Dean are two such retellings in which Jones and Dean have masterfully
brought the events and characters of the traditional balladinto the modern world. Despite the fact
that both novels have drawn from the same source, they have a number of distinct differences,
especially when it comes to the relationship between their Janet and Tam Lincharacters (Polly
Whittacker and Tom Lynn in Fire and Hemlock, and Janet Carter and Thomas Lane in Tam Lin),
and the balance of power between the two throughout the narrative. While Jones novel is very
much centered around the idea of Tam Lin being one of the rare few folk ballads or tales with a
female hero and is structured as such to give Polly a position of power and equality in the
relationship by the end, Dean seems to approach her retelling of the ballad from a different
direction, leading into the question of whether Janet really is as empowered by her role as the
hero as it may seem at first. In both novels, the first meeting between the Janet and Tam Lin
characters sets a strong base for their initial relationship, especially regarding the power dynamics
within that relationship. In the ballad of Tam Lin itself, Tam Lin asks Janet why she has entered
his woods and picked a rose without his permission, to which she replies

Super Rugby Research Paper
Rugby Union is a sport that has been a key part of Australian culture for hundreds of years. It
began as a modest competition between a few clubs but slowly went through many changes
over the last century. In this paper, I will discuss the history and outcomes of the gradual
commercialization of Rugby Union and relate it to my experience at a Super Rugby game. By
the turn of the 20th century, Rugby Union was already undergoing a significant change. Popular
clubs were being disbanded in favor of creating district clubs . Although it was met with criticism
100 years ago, I believe this was a step in the right direction, as we learned the importance of
linking a club to its community in our studies of Rugby League. After a brief period of a... Show

First and foremost, a game that was once played and viewed for fun now requires fans to
purchase tickets to enter. Also, they were playing in a stadium sponsored by the insurance
company Allianz, and that was only the beginning of the advertisements I saw. All over the
stadium were billboards advertising various companies. The jerseys that the players wore even
had advertisements on them, as did the ones being sold to adoring fans. Furthermore, concession
stands sold average food and beverages at relatively high prices. This certainly does not mean I
did not enjoy my experience at the game far from it, in fact. The matchup and game itself was a
far more exciting experience than I had at the Rugby League game, and the blatant
commercialization did not take away from the event. Nonetheless, it was quite obvious that the
franchises try to nickel and dime the fans at every turn, but this is something I have come to
expect after years of attending sporting events. All in all, it is easy to see how and why Rugby
Union has become commercialized over the years. The sport had to make changes to survive, and
it ended up working out well for the sport and its fans. Even if it now costs money to attend an
event that was somewhat recently free to watch, I am happy to pay money to the cause if it means
keeping these teams

The Revolutionary Scheme Of The Texas
The Texas revolution has fascinated Americans for more than a century now, from the epic
martyrs of the Alamo to the unexpected victory of San Jacinto. Lost in all the glory and pain are
some forgotten actors like the New Orleans Greys volunteers or the land speculators. Indeed, the
Crescent City always seems to be left out of classical interpretation of the revolutionary scheme of
the Texas. What was the role of New Orleans? By looking at newspapers published between 1836
and 1839, the city implication would be put into perspective, using Texan battles description,
drafting lists and land sales ads, to provide insight on the military implications and commercial ties.

The recruitment in New Orleans could be dated back to the beginning of the conflict in 1835.
Indeed, in October of that year, the first volunteers were drafted during a meeting at the Bank s
Arcade building. A lot of the young men in the attendance were to enroll themselves on that night
and the New Orleans Greys volunteers regiment was founded. Their involvement into the Texas
revolution would be essential and decisive but, strangely, forgotten by many. At the time, the
Mexican government openly accused the American government of not doing enough to stop the
flow of armed volunteers, who crossed the border to join the Rebels. In fact, while the United States
didn t implicitly supported the revolution, their duplicity and unwillingness to fix the problem
indirectly helped the war effort. During the month of October 1835, the newly formed New
Orleans Grey regiment took the road to Nacogdoches, entered Texas by the Sabine river and
reached San Antonio de Bexar(San Antonio) by December. It represented a turning point in the
young revolution, because the troops waiting for them had besieged the city since October, unable
to defeat the Mexican garrison. The arrival of the Greys proved to be game changer: (...) several

Essay On Congress Term Limits
Consequences of Term Limits on the United States Congress Imposing term limits on the United
States Congress could potentially lead to a massive reduction of knowledgeable politicians in the
American government, thus resulting in a fatal blow to the future of American progression. When
term limits are imposed, it has been shown that legislatures eventually lose valuable leaders, that
have the experience of law making and representing their districts with excellence. The national
legislation also would willingly increase the power held by the Executive Branch, this intern could
compromise the checks and balances system. Imagine if a congressman could only serve a total of
six years. They would strive to voice their constituent s concerns while continuing to draft laws and
reform the government. When it comes to the congressman s final term in office, we will find that
a vast majority of legislatures may turn into a lame duck. Just as the President of the United States
becomes a lame duck in their final years in office, the congressman may be prompted to
accomplish little to no tasks and seek to enjoy their final days in office . Furthermore, legislators
without term limits have proven to be very active in resolving issues for their constituents and...

The Triumph of Les MisГ©rables Essays
The Triumph of Les MisГ©rables
Les MisГ©rables (1862), a novel set in early nineteenth century France, presents a story of
obsessions in honor, love, and duty, and through it redemption and salvation. It is the story of the
poor Jean Valjean, condemned to an unfair amount of time in prison and a life on the run for
stealing a loaf of bread for his starving family. The kind act of forgiveness from a Bishop with
whom Jean Valjean stays one night, changes the course in which he chooses to live his life. Under

Even though the character s fate is leading them to lives of misery, their obsession to have a
perfectly complete and happy life in their eyes is prevailing. In Victor Hugo s novel Les
MisГ©rables he uses the character s obsession to portray the hardships people are willing to endure
to obtain what they truly desire in their lives.
Jean Valjean, the main character of the book, has two obsessions throughout the novel; living by
the Bishop s word (becoming a man of God s will,) and protecting and raising Cosette away from
the evils of the world. In the beginning of the story, Jean Valjean can not find anyone to take
him in for the night. Because he is a convict, marked by a yellow passport, the Bishop s home is
the only door open to him. A convict may leave the galleys behind, but not his condemnation
(26). Despite the Bishop s kindness, during the night Jean Valjean steals all of the silver from
the house and flees the town. Not far from the Bishop s house, Jean Valjean is captured and
returned to the Bishop, who tells the police he gave the silver to the convict. Once the police
excuse themselves, the Bishop says, Jean Valjean, never forget that you have promised me to use
this silver to become an honest man . . . . You belong no longer to evil, but to good. It is your
soul that I am buying for you. I give it to God! (33). From that moment on, Jean Valjean dedicates

Comparing Mary Shelley s Frankenstein and the Prometheus...
Comparing Mary Shelley s Frankenstein and the Prometheus Myth
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein is subtitled The Modern Prometheus , and rightfully so. Prometheus,
the Titan of Greek mythology that created man and gave them fire, is a fitting symbol for Victor
Frankenstein, the man who created a monster and gave him life. The most obvious aspect of the
similarity between Frankenstein and the Prometheus myth is the underlying theme both stories deal
with ill fated actions with tragic consequences. The classic Prometheus stories, as told by
Aeschylus, Percy Bysshe Shelley and summarized by Edith Hamilton, contain symbolic and
thematic elements that closely parallel Mary Shelley s modern Prometheus.

Another similarity between the two figures is their intention or goal. Both characters had
supposedly good intentions that were tainted through the fulfilment of their cause. Frankenstein
believed that, a new species will bless me as its creator and source; many happy and excellent
natures would owe their being to me (32). Prometheus insists that his actions had a similar impact
I risked the bord attempt, and saved mankind / From stark destruction and the road to hell... And in
a single word to sum the whole / All manner of arts men from Prometheus learned. (Aeschylus). In
both cases, these ideas, deluded or realistic, were not the actual or only outcome of their gifts . In
Percy Bysshe Shelley s interpretation of the Prometheus myth, Prometheus is faced with the
consequences of his gift of fire (and of creating the human race).

the throne. During this time, the state building of the Ottoman empire was increasing and
expanding immensely, due to Suleiman s rule. Suleiman led the golden age of the Ottoman empire
during his rule. The text displays the interactions of the Sultan s laws and encounters among the
people. The text explains that the Sultan s hall was crowded with many people, and the Janissaries
were in charge of protecting him. The event that was taking place was an assembly discussing
about the Turkish Monarchs going to war, and the fear of Persia impacting the Ottoman empire.

The author was trying to accomplish an insight on what life was like during the 15th century, not
only for the civilians, but the army and the Sultan. The author may have had ulterior motives. One
being that the janissaries did not like their job and did not want to fight in war, but rather learn,
study, and prosper through the years peacefully, rather than violently.
The main idea of this text is the relationship between the people and the ruler of the Ottoman
empire. The point the author was trying to make was made clear that the people living in the
Ottoman Empire were concerned for their empire during war, and there ruler s succession on the

Of The Conflict Between Draco Malfoy And Harry Potter
One of the biggest conflict was between two magical houses; Gryffindor and Slytherin. This came
about because there was a rivalry between Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Ever since they came
into contact, Harry Potter and Draco have always had confirmation due to the fact that they both
have two totally different views of what is the right thing to do and what is the wrong thing to do;
but when it comes to the important things in their life they tend to have strong ideals about it.
Harry Potteris a twelve year old boy, who grew up with no parents because Voldemort had killed
them. Due to this happening it created a lighting bolt on Harry s forehead. This lightning bolt has

Potter than his family would disown him and it would not make it any better because his family
does not love him in the first place. Draco was always pampered by his mother as a child and
this made him not have a backbone for others because he does not know how to. As stated
earlier, Harry Potter is a young boy who never got to experience the love of both parents but he

together, fighting every situation that was thrown their way and they were willing to die for
each other. However, this can not be said about Draco s friends. They are the lowest type of
friends that existed due to the fact that they try to find power and recognition through what Draco

because he is self centered about himself and she gets that from his father. He used people for his
own benefit and does not care about how others feel in the situations. They were different yet

Guilt And Guilt In Macbeth
Connor Stoll

English 2, Period 5
2 November 2017
The Feeling of Guilt
Guilt is cancer. Guilt will confine you, torture you, and destroy you as an artist. It s a black wall.
It s a thief Dave Grohl. In the play, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Shakespeare shows how guilt can
cause terrible consequences. The Tragedy of Macbeth is a story about a Scottish general, Macbeth,
who receives a prophecy from a group of witches that one day he will be the King of Scotland.
Intrigued by the news, Macbeth is willing to do anything it takes to be King. Manipulated by his
wife, Macbeth then ends up murdering the King and takes the throne for himself. But after
contemplating on the repulsive act that he had just done, all Macbeth is left with is a loss of
words and a heart full of guilt all because of his wife. In the play, Shakespeare uses a huge variety
of imagery to show how some mistake may cost you your life.
In the play, Shakespeare uses sleep imagery to show how guilt is one of the worst feeling in the
world. People say that guilt is just an emotion that ll go away in seconds, but others think that guilt
is the worst thing to encounter. For example, after Lady Macbeth manages to convince Macbeth to
kill the King, he is then entered into an emotional stage of guilt. In Act II Scene 2, Macbeth says,
One cried God bless us! and Amen the other, As they had seen me with these hangman s hands:
List ning their fears, I could not say Amen, When they did say God bless us!

The Constitution Holds Great Credit
The constitution holds great credit even after two hundred and twenty eight years of existence.
Why? This is because of a number of reasons, first due to the fact that this document is the
foundations of what this nation stands upon today and what finally brought the country in unison
successfully after the revolution. Also because the constitution is the document that protects the
citizens of all their liberties and rights still today, not to mention though it was signed in seventy
eighty eight it is still being used in the form it was written in its ratification era, with only twenty
seven changes that have had to be made over the years. That alone can show the significance of this

what further would be seen as political parties. Some of the states saw the constitutional convention
as a conspiracy to create a central government with too much power, while other states felt that it

Old Right Movement Analysis
The United States developed over time as a strong power throughout the world. The States
constantly battled with foreign policy and waged war to help their allies but the major struggle that
the States faced was the transition that occurred between the Old Left New Left and Old Right
New Right. The Democratic Partyand Republican Party were once a single group of people
fighting to deal with the same issues. Over time more issues arose causing a divide to occur and
the creation of two separate parties were created. The Democratic Party dominated American
politics between 1828 and 1860 and once again during 1932 and 2000. During the time of the
Democratic Party the views of the party changed from president to president because of the

The Republican Party during this time is known as the old left. During the 1800s the Republican
Party focused on equality and abolishing slavery. Over time the Old left began to change and
develop but first to understand the old left, the Old Republican Party must be defined. There was
one main argument that forced the creation of the Republican Party. The debate about the slavery
issues caused the creation of the Republican Party because majority of its members were against
slaver or against expanding slavery. The Republican Party became the party that focused on
principles, positions on a variety of issues and promised to change the laws in fundamental ways.
Abraham Lincoln became president as a Republican candidate and created the 13th amendment
which abolished slavery. Aside from the slavery issue, the Republican Party had the support of
northern businessmen, especially the owners of railroad and manufacturing corporations. The
southerner plantation owners and cotton growers feared higher protective tariffs on imported
manufactured goods because the south was already deeply indebted to northern bankers and
merchants and did not want to deal with more economic struggles. The Republican Party favoured a
centralized national government over state and local governance. The Republican Party focused on
their war effort which required high taxes to pay for men and their supplies,

Price The price may need to be increased to support the expansion in to a new facility. I would
recommend only an increase large enough to transition into the facility and then hold the price
steady again until the effect of the price increase is evaluated. Once the full impact is understood,
perhaps put an incremental increase in place with cost living increases. The goal is to make more
profit by increasing volume as opposed to keeping the same volume and increasing price.
Promotion Once the new facility was in place a promotion targeted at the food serviced brokers
and the restaurant chains (like Pub 99) outlining the detail of how Azalea has increased their
capacity and automated their process with the most up to date sanitary precautions emphasizing
they are USDA certified. As the expansion ability lies with these entities the promotion would be
aimed at them. The consumer purchasing the product already knows how good the product is, so it
is less about the new product being promoted and more about the expansion of the existing product
and Azalea s ability to meet the demand. Face to face selling to the executives of the food service
brokers and restaurant chains will be essential in the success of the plan. In addition, they will need
to balance the loyalty of the high end resteraunteur that demands individual attention.

Digital Images And The Digital Image
In today s world when whole world become digitized there is need not only to store and transmit
data but security is also main concern i.e. transmission of data with high security. In earlier time
there ware attempts to hide a message in trusted media so as to deliver it across the enemy
territory[1]. In the modern time of digital communication, several methods are used for hiding
information in any medium. There are many method one of such technique is steganography[2] in
which digital images are used as a medium for hiding secret message or information in the form of
various format such as digital images, video or audio file text file. The main goal of steganography
is to increase communication security by inserting secret message into the digital image by
modifying the pixels of the image which are not very essential. Another most reliable method of
information security is cryptography The steganography is differ from cryptography in the way that
cryptography main aim is to keeping the contents of a information secret, while steganography main
focuses on keeping the existence of a information secret. The science of protecting information
which is mainly in the form of plain text, by transforming it (encrypting it) into an unreadable
format, which is known as cipher text. Cryptography is the study of changing information from its

New Englander s Opposition Of The War Of 1812
New Englander s Opposition to the War of 1812
The War of 1812 was predominantly fought between the United States and the United Kingdom
for a variety of complex reasons but most notably was caused by Britain s inability to treat the
newly freed America as anything but a colonial body. Americans were overall outraged into war by
their own government s sanctioned trade embargoes, the impressments of seamen by the United
Kingdom, and interpersonal negative sentiments that greatly restricted America s trade with
European nations (including the vital trade with Britain) and in effect: America s economy.
American leaders at this point slightly miscalculated the effort by deciding to invade Canada as
the only viable way to properly attack Great Britain; this created an aggressive beginning on
America s part in this obscure war. The Treaty of Ghent ended the conflict in 1815 and said
nothing about the major issues that caused the war and did not conclude in a victory for either
side; it called for the return of preceding conditions before the war and did little to nothing to solve
the tensions between these two major nations: the United States and the United Kingdom. So how
did Americans feel about this unclear war? The War of 1812is America s most unpopular war as it
is largely forgotten in our history. The New Englanders specifically opposed the war, with some
Republicans lending a hand in the anti war effort. At this time New England was politically
dominated by the

Essay On Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla, noted inventor, engineer, machinist, and electrical pioneer was born in 1846 in
what is now modern Croatia. His parents had five children which included siblings Dane,
Angelina, Milka and Marica, in the family. His mother, Djuka Mandic, who invented small
household appliances in her spare time while her son was growing up, spurred Tesla s interest in
electrical invention. Tesla s father, Milutin Tesla, was a Serbian orthodox priest and a writer, and
he pushed for his son to join the priesthood. Very little else is recorded regarding his early
childhood or primary education. It is rumored, though, that the young Tesla was alternately cheerful

While both men went on to continue developing sensational inventions, Edison is the man most
credited in history books for his work. Tesla, on the other hand, was not an inventor seeking fame,
but one who simply had a peculiar and uncanny view on the world. He was known to have
outbursts of creative genius that led to days of non stop work, eventually resulting in his
register(ing) over 700 patents worldwide. His most well known work revolved around the
Alternating Current electrical theories. While this stood in direct opposition to the corporately
backed efforts of Edison to promote a Direct Current network for electrical distribution, Tesla
continued with the idea of transmitting electricity through the air, and free to all people. Edison
scoffed at the idea, but even the newest research in the 21st century reveals that Tesla s notions are
quite feasible. In the end, it is clear that his early education at home, his formal education on record,
and his work with Edison all contributed to the foundation of Nikola Teslas broad range of work.
The public perception of Tesla was quite positive during his productive years, even earning the
financial backing of J. Pierpont Morgan for a while . Tesla s disputes with Edison grew over the
years, though, eventually leading Tesla to abandon much of his work later in life, and he
eventually died penniless in 1943 while residing in a New York hotel. By all accounts, he was

Hepatocyte lipotoxicity and liver inflammation
Beside hepatocyte injury and death, inflammation is another histological hallmark of NASH. The
inflammation during NASH is described as sterile inflammation as the inflammatory response
occurs in the absence of pathogens or external antigens.44 This sterile inflammation may be a
consequence of lipid induced hepatocyte stress, damage, and cell death. Indeed, cell death can
trigger an inflammatory response by innate immune cells.6 On the other hand, a sustained
inflammatory response may contribute to hepatocellular injury and death, creating a feed forward
loop between tissue injury and inflammation. Inflammation in NASH is most strikingly associated

DAMPs are recognized by so called pattern recognition receptors (PRRs), which were initially
studied as receptors for bacterial products (pathogen associated molecular patterns). PRRs
comprise a variety of receptors expressed both on the cell surface and intracellularly. In NAFLD,
the family of TLRs is the best characterized PRRs. Cell surface TLR4 is expressed by Kupffer
cells, hepatocytes, liver sinusoidal endothelial cells and hepatic stellate cells, and can be activated
by multiple ligands including polysaccharide (LPS), HMGB1, heat shock proteins and free fatty
acids. In vitro, treatment of macrophages with free fatty acids activates TLR4 signaling and
macrophage proinflammatory polarization.46 In isolated hepatocytes, free fatty acids stimulate
secretion of HMGB1, which in turn activates hepatocyte TLR4 signaling in an autocrine manner,
leading to hepatocyte NF ОєB activation and cytokine expression.47 In vivo, specific TLR4
deletion in hepatocytes prevented obesity induced insulin resistance and systemic inflammation
during high fat diet feeding.48 In another study, while whole body deletion of TLR4 attenuated the
development of NASH in an MCD diet mouse model.49 Taken together, these studies suggest that
inhibition of TLR4 activation appears to be a promising therapeutic strategy for NASH.

interaction, Goffman dismisses the analysis of emotion and feelings involved at an internal level.
A fact touched on by author Arlie Hochschild(1979), who uses an interactionist perspective to
explain that focusing on external impressions, such as body demeanor and appearances takes
away from inner reactions at a deeper level. Here direct management of feelings challenges the
concept of acting. Therefore, while we do ultimately react in accordance to our roles and do so
with poise, how we manage to control the self to do this is followed by our feelings, which is an
internal reaction. Hochschild s(1983),work in The Managed Heart: Commercialization of Human
Feeling discusses what she considers is key in understanding social interaction and impression
management. Taking from Konstantin Stanislavski s concept of method acting , Hochschild forms
the concept of deep acting . She illustrates the concept of impression management through deep
acting that is different from Goffman s notion of acting. In deep acting, the individual can manage
their impression on others by managing how they feel. Here the actor has transpired into the
character to a level where they are no longer acting but reacting to their surroundings. In deep
acting, the individual relies on their demeanor to act a certain way in a given situation. She
explains this process as relying on past experiences and our

My Partner And I Chose The Film The Lion King
My partner and I chose the film The Lion King. This Disney animated feature from 1994 follows
the adventures of Simba, a young lion voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas (Home Improvement).
He is joined by his father, Mufasa voiced by the great James Earl Jones (Star Wars) and his
corrupt, uncle Scar who is voiced by one of the all time favorites Jeremy Irons (The Man from
the Iron Mask). Scar wants to be king and overthrow Mufasa and comes up with a plan to lure
Simba and his father into a stampede of wildebeests. Simba escapes, but his father Mufasa is
killed. Simba soon finds himself chased out of his kingdom and paired with two new friends
Timon and Pumbaa. His friends are Timon a meerkat voiced by Nathan Lane (The Producers)
and Pumbaa is a warthog voiced by Ernie Sabella (Mouse Hunt). The story ultimately leads to
Simba, now an adult being voiced by Matthew Broderick (Godzilla), returning to take back his
homeland back from Scar with the help of his friends. Of the characters in the film, we see
Simba and his friend Nala as lion cubs in the start of the film. Simba and Nala are both roughly
six to eight months old, which is roughly ten years old for humans. ( Animal Ages ). Simba, born
into privilege, is being groomed by his father in the beginning on how to rule his future kingdom.
Using Piaget s theory of childhood development we will look at Simba and Nala, as well as how
they compare developmentally to the average ten year old. This age would put Simba and Nala in

Report on Food Adultery in Bangladesh
What is food adultery? Food adulteration is the process of adding chemical substances with foods,
which should not be contained within food and beverages. Chemical substances or simply
adulterants may be internationally added to substances to reduce manufacturing costs, or for some
deceptive or malicious purpose. When profit in business is more important than morality, then it is
possible to add the poisoning contents to the foods and beverages. Foodadulteration, a clear
violation of human rights, has crossed all limits now a days, as drive against this menace is neither
effective nor regular in the country. Dishonest and unscrupulous businessmen are behind this crime
against humanity. Food adulteration, synonymous with slow poisoning... Show more content on

If some one looks at the Gulshan lake, one may easily find that fish are dying, floating on top of
the lake because of high level of toxins. Fish meal therefore from polluted lakes and rivers poses
a great health risk for consumers. * Another concern is whether arsenic water is used for irrigation
of producing vegetables in the country. The vegetables may retain some trace of arsenic
component in fresh vegetables as well. This means that the best protection of consumers is to make
informed choices and lessen the chances of exposure to potential toxins by eating polluted fish and
arsenic laced vegetables.
TYPES OF FOOD THAT ARE OFTEN ADULTERARTED: * Basic food items on the market like
rice, fish, fruits, vegetables, and sweetmeats are adulterated with hazardous chemicals in an
indiscriminate manner. * More than 76 percent food items on the market were found adulterated in
a random survey by Public Health Laboratory of Dhaka City Corporation in 2009.
Adulterated Food acts as slow poison: * Slow Poisoning Consumers Consider Food Adulteration
a Minor Irritant and That Remains the Reason for Its Stealthy and Steady Transformation Into a
Major, Multi Faceted Health Hazard. * Spices are laced with excessive edible colors and heavy
metals. While lead can cause anemia, paralysis and the risk of abortion, colors can cause mental
retardation in infants and increase the risk of cancers.

The Importance Of Building A Strong Mailing List
When it comes to building an email list, you want to attract the right people who will become a
part of your loyal tribe. These people will be the ones who will buy from you first and spread the
word about what you have to offer. Knowing this, there are a few things you ll want to consider
when you re building your email list. Many business owners make these costly mistakes and you
don t have to be in that number. To build a strong mailing list, you ll wantto avoid these seven
common mistakes made by so many businesses and brands.
1. Ineffective Incentives
It s really important to have a good incentive to get people to sign up for your emails. If there s

If you have a lot of typos in your work, it s hard to read. Plus, it also communicates that you don t
pay attention to details, you re slightly illiterate and unprofessional. While none of these
components may be true, first impressions are lasting impressions. It s best to keep your brand in the
clear by incorporating the right messaging as well as polished syntax and grammar. Furthermore,
if you have a few links to other websites in your email, make sure those links work. It would be
terrible to promote an upcoming sale and send customers to a broken link. This can be an
astronomical mistake for those who lose patience and take their dollars elsewhere.
3. Monetization Strategies
Since dollars are now a part of the conversation, it s important to note how much monetization
strategies within an email list. Many internet marketers will preach that the money is in the list.
This means that once you send a monetized email out to a receptive list, you can easily make a lot
of money. It s equally important to deliver valuable information and incorporate solid monetization
strategies in every email. Monetization strategies include affiliate links and programs, promotions,
sales, coupons and new merchandise. One problem many business owners face involves timidity
and the concern that their monetization strategies will be perceived as desperate or needy. Don t
be afraid to promote these types of strategies because you re in business to become financially

As a child I remember being read and told a hundreds of stories. There is this one story that
stands out to me the most. It is a story that my nana and papa would always tell me to try and get
me to learn about patience. Although, as a kid I did not think of it as a learning opportunity, but
more as story time at nana s and papa s house. Now I look back at all of the stories that they told
me I really appreciate the story of the Jack and the Bean Stalk.
In the story Jack is just a young boy who is staying with his mother, who is a widow, together
with their milk cow who happens to be their only source of livelihood. A time comes when the
milk cow no longer gives milk and thus Jack s mother instructs him to take their milk cow to traders

However Jack almost gets caught with the harp and the giant quickly and menacingly follows him
down the gigantic beanstalk. The giant finally catches up with Jack. Jack realizing that he has
done wrong against the giant seeks to make things right with him. He comes up with a deal and
presents it to the giant whereby he has rights for visitation with the harp. In return, the giant gives
Jack gold coins so as to assist him and his mother survive. This marks the end of the tale and Jack
together with his mother live happily ever after. The moral of this story is that when as a child your
parent sends you somewhere, like the market, do exactly what you are asked. Jack had a very
simple task to accomplish, sell the cow and bring back the money home to buy food for the
family. However, Jack gets convinced by a swift talking salesman selling beans. Moral of this story,
children should listen to their parent when s/he instructs them to execute a task. The other lesson is
that never let your eyes become larger than your wallet.
Inspite of the kindness shown by the wife of the giant, Jack desires the possessions of the giant;
the gold coins, the hen laying the golden eggs together with the harp. This simple action leads
Jack towards the wrong path and this is where our next lesson comes in. What is yours is simply
yours, and what is theirs is

The Story Of Joseph As A History Lesson
The story of Joseph is one of my favorite in the Bible. Not because it has a happy ending, but
because it shows us some incredible attributes of God. As with most biblical study, it s important
to not read the story of Joseph as a history lesson, but rather to focus in on what God is doing, what
is motivating God, and how God responds to people. In this case, there are some profound
theological concepts that can be recognized from just looking a little deeper into the scriptures,
past the narrative of what s happening with Joseph. We get both a wonderful image of God s
grace and of His beautiful design for how things work together for those who love Him. Further,
we see God as constantly at work, more even in the grimy, messy times when it probably seems
to Joseph that He is the furthest away. In many ways, the underlying theme through the story of
Joseph s life directly addresses one of my biggest questions early in my walk in faith: If God is
good, why does He let bad things happen?
The story of Joseph starts well before he was born, and the setting of things that would happen to
him later in life really began when his father Jacob met his mother. The Bible tells us that Jacob
took to Rachel, Joseph s mother, immediately. In Genesis 29:10 11 (ESV), it says Now as soon
as Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother s brother, and the sheep of Laban his
mother s brother, Jacob came near and rolled the stone from the well s mouth and watered the flock
of Laban his

Domesticated Animals Carry Epidemic Diseases
Did you know that half of the world is living on about $2.50 every day? This isn t because of
their race, how much money they have, or that they re not working hard enough. It all comes down
to where they were located geographically on the world. With the right geography, a civilization
can grow plants that have all of the qualities that allows them to be farmed and used as the
civilisation s main source of food. Farming gave them more time to discover that they could also
domesticate some animals that had the right features. These domesticated animals carry epidemic
diseases, so when a civilization would spent their whole life with the animals, their body would be
taught to fight off the different diseases and eventually become immune. When... Show more

Once a country develops steel, they are able to travel anywhere and most likely win every battle,
because steel weapons are the strongest and sharpest weapons. This opens up the whole world s
resources land to colonize. To make steel, a civilization needs to have the right geography to
grow trees that had dry wood to create long, hot fires. They also needed to have the right
geography that gave them iron ore, the foundation of steel, and a food surplus to create non food
specialists, that could dedicate their life to creating steel, which luckily Spain s geography gave
them all of these things. They decided to create better weapons because they had competition
with the other civilizations that lived around them. Although the Incas had dry wood, for the
fire, and a food surplus, to give them specialists, they didn t have iron ore to create steel or a
motive. They didn t have any civilizations that lived near them. They did have an abundance of
precious metals, but since they had so much of it, they didn t think of it as very valuable and they
used it for everyday tools. When the Spanish developed steel and sea going ships, they decided to
search for Eldorado, a paradise made of gold. They eventually found themselves in the Incan

Critical Race Theory Analysis
In May 2018, more than a million school age children from Grades 3 and 5 in primary school and
Years 7 and 9 in secondary schools across Australia will complete the National Assessment
Program Literacy and Numeracy Test (NAPLAN). Millions of students around the world are
similarly tested in schools with their own versions of standardised testing. I am going to discuss
that NAPLAN and other forms of testing excludes specific groups of people such as students with
an Indigenous background, an English as an Additional Language background and students with a
disability using critical race theory.
From my own personal experience, NAPLAN was not around until I was in Year 9, I remember
being stressed about NAPLAN and as I am on the Autism Spectrum, ... Show more content on

The publication of results of NAPLAN served to clearly reiterate disparities in academic outcomes
when Indigenous students were compared with non Indigenous. There can be little doubt that the
statistics speak of the grave urgency to improve the achievement outcomes and engagement of
Indigenous students in education: for example, 63.4% of Year 5 Indigenous students were at or
above the national benchmark in literacy and numeracy compared with 92.6% of non Indigenous
students. The Closing the gap policy offers unrealistic targets that fails to respond to contextually
specific needs of individuals or communities and is imbued with continuing assimilationist
undercurrents. Accepting this critique enables the policy to be viewed as failing to serve the
interests or needs of many Indigenous students; indeed, the policy can arguably be viewed as
politically motivated by White interests. (Vass, 2013, p.90) The data indicates that there is still a
necessity to teach Indigenous students the skills for NAPLAN, however, the results of NAPLAN at
the national benchmark is still different between Indigenous and Non Indigenous students.
Furthermore, Critical Race theory then has a following question as whom will

Scarface The Movie Psychology
In this essay I decided to watch the movie Scarface (1932). This movie is directed by Howard
Hawks and Richard Rosson. Its lead actors are Osgood Perkins, Paul Muni, Ann Dvorak, and
Karen Morley. Scarface is a film about guns, gangsters, and pretty woman, it follows a story of a
fast rising gangster who lives by the moto the world is yours, but once he finds himself at the top
he is quick to find his world is tumbling down around him.
Looking at scenes of sexual innuendo the film handled it with showing minor skin or even kissing.
One scene of a sexual innuendo is the dialogue with Tony (Paul Muni) and Poppy (Karen
Morley). In this scene you hear Tony say I m not hungry. Except for you. You got something I
like hinting to Poppy that he is interested in her more than he is food. Even with the films
restrictions on not showing a lot of skin or even a sex scene the directors were able to still put
their points across to what the characters implied, and that there was a sense of romance between
the two without having to show any explicated scenes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

shots are fired and it pans back to the body of Big Louis Costillo (Harry J. Vejar) not showing the

you really ever see is on the sleeve of Johnny Lovo (Osgood Perkins) when he is clipped by a
bullet. Even with the restrictions the directors had for the time I found it refreshing to see that I
was able to understand the crisis that was happing but not have it required by the director to have a

The Effects Of Viral Load On Hiv Essay
On November 10, 2016, a new report was released to the public about a special type of microchip
that can test the amount of viral load of HIV in less than 30 minutes. This test can be completely
self administered. The user can check the viral load amount in the bloodstream by placing a drop
of their blood on the microchip, which looks similar to that of a USBdrive. This microchip is then
inserted into a computer, tablet, or other handheld device. The results can be achieved in less than
30 minutes, and many users had an answer in about 21 minutes with 95% accuracy. The current
method requires sending blood to a laboratory and can take at least three days, if not longer, to
detect the viral load present. This microchip can help to monitor those patients who are receiving
treatment, but do not have access to local clinics. Researchers hope that this device can
specifically help in Sub Saharan Africa and other rural areas which may not have easy access to
testing facilities nearby (Imperial College London: 2016). This new microchip received a lot of
publicity for a few major reasons. While it is not currently commercially available, it provided a
proof of concept for a point of care method for the detection of the viral load of HIVpresent. This is
the first report of an on chip detection of RNA via microchip. While there are a few similar
products that are close to market or in development, they all require lab equipment and a desktop
instrument to find results, whereas

How Did Nationalism Cause Ww1
Nationalism occurs when a race of group of people create an indentity in which they have a love
and a loyalty for. This group will have a common factor of race, language, culture or religion. The
assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the Austrian Archduke during the time of 1914, sparked off an
already existing conflict between Austria and Serbia. The force of Nationalism influenced this
conflict between Serbia and Austria due to the nationalistic views of the Serbian people. The
conflict that occurred on the 28th June 1914 was the assassination of the Austrian Archduke, Franz
Ferdinand. While he and his wife were visiting Bosnia, they were both shot dead by Serbian
nationalist, Gavrilo Princip, On this day nationalism was running high... Show more content on

The Schlieffen Plan was designed to give Germany dominance. The plan was for German armies
to travel through Belgium to France, and defeat France. Then further moving on to Russia to
defeat them before they had fully mobilised. Unfortunately, Germany could not reach Russia in
time, as RUssia started to mobilise too quickly. Although the assassination occurred at the
beginning of World War One, it was only an event which sparked off from other conflicts
influenced by Nationalism. These conflicts included the First Moroccan Crisis 1906, the Agadir
Incident 1911 12 and the naval arms race between Britain and Germany. The conflicts between
Serbia and Austria, and previous other conflicts which led up to World War One were
predominantly caused by the force of Nationalism. Serbian nationalistic values impacted the way
of life for Serbian people. An example of this is Gavrilo Princip. Nationalism influeced him to
join the Black Hand and consequently assassinate the Archduke of Austria. His love and loyalty
for Serbia caused him to murder for the greater good of his country. The Serbian extreme
nationalistic views were produced mainly because of the different rules over the Slav empirres. The
people of these states felt that they had to be true to their state and not the empire they belonged in.
This caused much unrest between these states. Nationalism changed the lives of people in Europe
greatly.

Essay on Analysis of My Papa s Waltz
In the poem My Papa s Waltz written by Theodore Roethke, the interpretation of the poem depends
on the readers`perspective. Some people think that this poem is one of a happy exchange between
a father and son. Other people believe that this poem has a hidden message of parental abuse. In
my point of view, the imagery and language, the symbolism, and tone in the poem gave me the
impression of the love between the father and son, not of an abusive relationship.
My Papa s Waltz is a poem presented in a form that uses specific images and language to present a
happy memory that a man has of his father, even in a situation where his father was drunk. Words
such as romped (line 5), waltzing (line 4), clinging to your shirt, (line 16) ... Show more content on

In the third stanza, the narrator is remembering some details like the broken knuckle of his father
(line 10), and that his ear was scraping on his father s belt buckle (line 12). As well in the fourth
stanza, the narrator mentions the dirt caked on his father s hand (line 14). These images of the son
imply a hard working father who had just come home from the plant and was spending time with
his little son before putting him to bed. These images also support my point of view that the author
still has pleasant memories of the event, which would not be the case if there was abuse,
As well, the waltz in the story becomes a symbol of an idealized and elusive relationship
between father and son and leads to the title of the poem My Papa s Waltz. The last line of
poem, waltzed me off to bed still clinging to your shirt (line 15 16) infers the boy is very
dependent on his father and shows his father loves him very much. The constant rhythm
throughout the poem gives it a light beat, like a waltz; the reader feels like he is dancing. The
rhythm of poem make a reader feel the joy of a child, not the somber sense of abuse, This is like
a child dancing since there is no complicated structure, Moreover, stresses on words such as dizzy,
easy, buckle, and knuckle give the poem a rather playful feel to the reader. A child who suffered
abuse would not be using happy symbolism to remember his

  • 3. Describe Your Rocket Research Paper Describe your rocket. At the top of the rocket is the nose cone that guides the air around the rocket. Underneath the nose cone is the parachute and the shroud lines that were used when the rocket was falling back down to the ground. The body tube is made of rolled paper or plastic with a special coating so that it has the strength, since it is the basic airframe of the rocket. The launch plug is on the side of the tube that goes on the launch rod so that when the rocket first sets off, it is more controlled. At the bottom of the rocket is the fins, the engine mount, engine, and igniter and plug. The fins are used for guidance and the engine mount holds the engine in place inside the body tube. The Igniter and plug is used as a safe way to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rockets are a very complex aircraft, using instructions are key, but if you follow the instructions carefully then it is not hard to build. If you glue something together that doesn t need to be glued could potentially ruin your rocket. I also learned that the bottom needs to be heavily glued together because after I shot my rocket off, the bottom pieces came off and I lost the fins, the engine mount, the engine, and the igniter and plug. Another thing that I learned, not necessarily about the rocket itself but the conditions, is that it is probably better to not set off rockets when there is a lot of wind. The rockets already travel far but if the parachute catches the wind then it would make the rocket travel much farther. 3.) How does aerodynamics play apart in the flight of a rocket? Aerodynamics for a rocket is about how the air flows over and around the rocket and also about how it affects the drag and stability of the rocket. Aerodynamics is the study of the forces and the resulting motion of the objects flying in the air. It depends on the shape, size, and velocity of the rocket, It plays apart in the flight of the rocket because aerodynamics affects and goes hand and hand with the lift and drag that is caused by the air moving around the rocket. 4.) What are the following forces and what do they do with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Journal Of The Elaine Race Riots In the Journal of the Elaine Race Riots, I got to know the basic criticism that was for almost all the Race Riots that had taken place. However, the sophisticated social, economic and racial analysis of the Racial Riots was relatively new on the scholarly scene. It was, therefore, not surprising comparatively to work that was been undertaken. The problems the poor Negroes faced during the 1919 s. The Negroes had worked hard to raise the cotton crops but there was some trouble regarding the settlements for the cotton crops. The white landlords and the sharecroppers never went along with each other after the cotton was ready to be sold out. The landlords use to sell their crops the way they felt was perfect according to them. Nothing was owned by the poor black planters during the reimbursement which enumerated declarations of financial records. Nor did they own an accounting of the wages established for cotton and seeds that they grew. They were afraid of the whites. The technique of the secretarial that led to suspected exploitations of filling debt by corrupt landowners and mediators. The articles stated that the poor Negroes were always kept in debt by their landowners. They were helpless in the stride of malicious corruption. Therefore, the Negroes have a secret meeting to discuss their scrape and gather wages for the lawyers. The reports were based on facts that the Unions literature required communal likeness and confrontation to justice. The articles stated that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Eva Braun s Definition Of The Word Evil How could the woman behind the most deviant man in the history of the world go somehow unnoticed. Was she a possible helping hand in what was the worst genocide in recent history? Eva Braun is quite possibly the second hand definition of the word evil. Was her life really like this? Could a women that lived a seemingly normal life be capable of such heinous crimes? Eva Braunwas a right hand man to one of history s most notorious criminals, but perhaps in her own light was not quite the woman that everybody makes her out to be. Something that many people do not know about Eva is that, she was a simple woman who lived a seemingly simple life. Eva Braun was born on February 6, 1912 to Friedrich and Franziska Braun, in Munich Germany(3). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun never shared an intimate moment together or so it seems (Nobody knew Hitler s true sexuality so this may of had an impact)(3).Their relationship was strictly domestic and relaxatory rather than the usual erotic relationship that many couples share today(9). They were merely close friends that thrived off of each others joy and companionship in times of need(3). Another part of their relationship that was different than most is that it was completely private. Hitler and Eva rarely appeared in public together(9). Even if they did, they would not sit together or give any evidence that they were even acquaintances of one another(8). This was hard on Eva, as she longed for his attention. She would often cry when he was not around and it was apparent that he had a significant impact on her mood. She even went to lengths as trying to take her own life at one point in time because she did not think she would ever be good enough for him(3). This proved to change the views that Hitler had on the relationship, as it started to drastically change(8). Soon after the incident they moved in together and Eva started to arrange gatherings for Hitler s closest friends otherwise known as his inner circle . It was not long after that they started to live together that they were married. It was in April of 1945 in Berlin where the ceremony happened, tragically a day before both of their deaths. Although they were close companions for many years, Eva never did ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Should Anabolic Steroids Be Banned Athletes are always looking for an edge on their competition, some choose to go as far as to use anabolic steroids to modify their genetics. Anabolic steroids are used by athletes to improve physical performance, as the synthetic hormone resembles testosterone and promotes muscle growth. These substances are a part of the banned substances list, and are outlawed by all professional sports organizations. But is it time to lift this ban? If steroids were widely accepted, professional sports would become more entertaining, the playing field would become more even, and the distribution and consumption of the enhancers would become safer. Steroids need to become legalized to improve professional sports. Steroids are proven to make sports more entertaining,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Much of the time steroids can be a dangerous business, as additives are put in to make the steroids discreet in the body. According to professor, Julian Savulescu at the University of Oxford, Because doping is illegal, the pressure is to make performance enhancers undetectable, rather than safe. Performance enhancers are produced or bought on the black market and administered in a clandestine, uncontrolled way with no monitoring of the athlete s health. Allowing the use of performance enhancers would make sport safer as there would be less pressure on athletes to take unsafe enhancers and a pressure to develop new safe performance enhancers and to make existing enhancers more effective at safe dosages... . By legalizing this performance enhancer, it would allow for big pharmaceutical companies to distribute safely to athletes. No longer would athletes have to take dangerously high doses, because these companies could make an incremental amount of the drug very potent. This is one the biggest reasons why steroids remain illegal, is because they are seen as dangerous. But contrary to popular belief, the legalization of steroids would make them more safe. The legalization of steroids is needed to further professional sports. Many benefits can be had from this rule change. It will bring excitement back to the fans and bring in more income for sports teams. Historic records will seem attainable and will bring new fans to sports. It will allow for dreams of hard working people to become a reality. Genetics would no longer be a hindrance. It will also make steroids safer. So that athletes don t need to risk their health to become the best. If we see steroids legalized, professional sports with enhance ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The BSC takes forethought. It is not a tool you can just think up one night to solve a problem. Instead, it is recommended that you hold a meeting to plan out what goals you would like to see your company reach in each of the four above areas. Once you have clearly stated objectives, you can then begin to break down these objectives in what you will need, financially, to bring these objectives to fruition. 2. While the BSC gives you an overall view of the four areas for concern in business growth and development, these four areas do not paint the whole picture. The financial information included on the scorecard is limited. Instead, to be successfully implemented, the balanced scorecard must be part of a bigger strategy for company growth that includes meticulous accounting methods. 3. Many companies use metrics that are not applicable to their own situation. It is vitally important when using balanced scorecards to make the information being tracked applicable to your needs. Otherwise, the metrics will be meaningless. 4. Review Strategic management is a long process that is not limited to making good plans; most of today s strategic management challenges stem from the areas of implementations; it s obvious from many financial scandals, and company failures, leading to acquisitions and downsizing, that those firms didn t lack a well developed plans and strategies, but thy did lack the appropriate control strategies

  • 11. A Comparison Of Tam Lin And Tam Lin The Scottish folk ballad Tam Lin is a ballad that has inspired quite a few retellings and reinterpretations by contemporary writers and artists. Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones and Tam Lin by Pamela Dean are two such retellings in which Jones and Dean have masterfully brought the events and characters of the traditional balladinto the modern world. Despite the fact that both novels have drawn from the same source, they have a number of distinct differences, especially when it comes to the relationship between their Janet and Tam Lincharacters (Polly Whittacker and Tom Lynn in Fire and Hemlock, and Janet Carter and Thomas Lane in Tam Lin), and the balance of power between the two throughout the narrative. While Jones novel is very much centered around the idea of Tam Lin being one of the rare few folk ballads or tales with a female hero and is structured as such to give Polly a position of power and equality in the relationship by the end, Dean seems to approach her retelling of the ballad from a different direction, leading into the question of whether Janet really is as empowered by her role as the hero as it may seem at first. In both novels, the first meeting between the Janet and Tam Lin characters sets a strong base for their initial relationship, especially regarding the power dynamics within that relationship. In the ballad of Tam Lin itself, Tam Lin asks Janet why she has entered his woods and picked a rose without his permission, to which she replies ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It began as a modest competition between a few clubs but slowly went through many changes over the last century. In this paper, I will discuss the history and outcomes of the gradual commercialization of Rugby Union and relate it to my experience at a Super Rugby game. By the turn of the 20th century, Rugby Union was already undergoing a significant change. Popular clubs were being disbanded in favor of creating district clubs . Although it was met with criticism 100 years ago, I believe this was a step in the right direction, as we learned the importance of linking a club to its community in our studies of Rugby League. Furthermore, concession stands sold average food and beverages at relatively high prices. This certainly does not mean I did not enjoy my experience at the game far from it, in fact. The matchup and game itself was a far more exciting experience than I had at the Rugby League game, and the blatant commercialization did not take away from the event. Nonetheless, it was quite obvious that the franchises try to nickel and dime the fans at every turn, but this is something I have come to expect after years of attending sporting events. All in all, it is easy to see how and why Rugby Union has become commercialized over the years. The sport had to make changes to survive, and it ended up working out well for the sport and its fans. Lost in all the glory and pain are some forgotten actors like the New Orleans Greys volunteers or the land speculators. Indeed, the Crescent City always seems to be left out of classical interpretation of the revolutionary scheme of the Texas. What was the role of New Orleans? By looking at newspapers published between 1836 and 1839, the city implication would be put into perspective, using Texan battles description, drafting lists and land sales ads, to provide insight on the military implications and commercial ties. The recruitment in New Orleans could be dated back to the beginning of the conflict in 1835. Indeed, in October of that year, the first volunteers were drafted during a meeting at the Bank s Arcade building. A lot of the young men in the attendance were to enroll themselves on that night and the New Orleans Greys volunteers regiment was founded. Their involvement into the Texas revolution would be essential and decisive but, strangely, forgotten by many. At the time, the Mexican government openly accused the American government of not doing enough to stop the flow of armed volunteers, who crossed the border to join the Rebels. In fact, while the United States didn t implicitly supported the revolution, their duplicity and unwillingness to fix the problem indirectly helped the war effort. During the month of October 1835, the newly formed New Orleans Grey regiment took the road to Nacogdoches, entered Texas by the Sabine river and reached San Antonio de Bexar(San Antonio) by December. It represented a turning point in the young revolution, because the troops waiting for them had besieged the city since October, unable to defeat the Mexican garrison. The main goal of steganography is to increase communication security by inserting secret message into the digital image by modifying the pixels of the image which are not very essential. Another most reliable method of information security is cryptography The steganography is differ from cryptography in the way that cryptography main aim is to keeping the contents of a information secret, while steganography main focuses on keeping the existence of a information secret. The science of protecting information which is mainly in the form of plain text, by transforming it (encrypting it) into an unreadable format, which is known as cipher text. • 33. New Englander s Opposition Of The War Of 1812 New Englander s Opposition to the War of 1812 The War of 1812 was predominantly fought between the United States and the United Kingdom for a variety of complex reasons but most notably was caused by Britain s inability to treat the newly freed America as anything but a colonial body. Americans were overall outraged into war by their own government s sanctioned trade embargoes, the impressments of seamen by the United Kingdom, and interpersonal negative sentiments that greatly restricted America s trade with European nations (including the vital trade with Britain) and in effect: America s economy. American leaders at this point slightly miscalculated the effort by deciding to invade Canada as the only viable way to properly attack Great Britain; this created an aggressive beginning on America s part in this obscure war. The Treaty of Ghent ended the conflict in 1815 and said nothing about the major issues that caused the war and did not conclude in a victory for either side; it called for the return of preceding conditions before the war and did little to nothing to solve the tensions between these two major nations: the United States and the United Kingdom. So how did Americans feel about this unclear war? The War of 1812is America s most unpopular war as it is largely forgotten in our history. The New Englanders specifically opposed the war, with some Republicans lending a hand in the anti war effort. At this time New England was politically dominated by the ... His parents had five children which included siblings Dane, Angelina, Milka and Marica, in the family. His mother, Djuka Mandic, who invented small household appliances in her spare time while her son was growing up, spurred Tesla s interest in electrical invention. Tesla s father, Milutin Tesla, was a Serbian orthodox priest and a writer, and he pushed for his son to join the priesthood. While both men went on to continue developing sensational inventions, Edison is the man most credited in history books for his work. Tesla, on the other hand, was not an inventor seeking fame, but one who simply had a peculiar and uncanny view on the world. He was known to have outbursts of creative genius that led to days of non stop work, eventually resulting in his register(ing) over 700 patents worldwide. His most well known work revolved around the Alternating Current electrical theories. While this stood in direct opposition to the corporately backed efforts of Edison to promote a Direct Current network for electrical distribution, Tesla continued with the idea of transmitting electricity through the air, and free to all people. Edison scoffed at the idea, but even the newest research in the 21st century reveals that Tesla s notions are quite feasible. In the end, it is clear that his early education at home, his formal education on record, and his work with Edison all contributed to the foundation of Nikola Teslas broad range of work. The public perception of Tesla was quite positive during his productive years, even earning the financial backing of J. Pierpont Morgan for a while . Tesla s disputes with Edison grew over the years, though, eventually leading Tesla to abandon much of his work later in life, and he eventually died penniless in 1943 while residing in a New York hotel. The inflammation during NASH is described as sterile inflammation as the inflammatory response occurs in the absence of pathogens or external antigens.44 This sterile inflammation may be a consequence of lipid induced hepatocyte stress, damage, and cell death. Indeed, cell death can trigger an inflammatory response by innate immune cells.6 On the other hand, a sustained inflammatory response may contribute to hepatocellular injury and death, creating a feed forward loop between tissue injury and inflammation. PRRs comprise a variety of receptors expressed both on the cell surface and intracellularly. In NAFLD, the family of TLRs is the best characterized PRRs. Cell surface TLR4 is expressed by Kupffer cells, hepatocytes, liver sinusoidal endothelial cells and hepatic stellate cells, and can be activated by multiple ligands including polysaccharide (LPS), HMGB1, heat shock proteins and free fatty acids. In vitro, treatment of macrophages with free fatty acids activates TLR4 signaling and macrophage proinflammatory polarization.46 In isolated hepatocytes, free fatty acids stimulate secretion of HMGB1, which in turn activates hepatocyte TLR4 signaling in an autocrine manner, leading to hepatocyte NF ОєB activation and cytokine expression.47 In vivo, specific TLR4 deletion in hepatocytes prevented obesity induced insulin resistance and systemic inflammation during high fat diet feeding.48 In another study, while whole body deletion of TLR4 attenuated the development of NASH in an MCD diet mouse model.49 Taken together, these studies suggest that inhibition of TLR4 activation appears to be a promising therapeutic strategy for NASH. Social Interaction And Impression Management In the process of emphasizing the centrality of avoiding embarrassment as a guide for social interaction, Goffman dismisses the analysis of emotion and feelings involved at an internal level. A fact touched on by author Arlie Hochschild(1979), who uses an interactionist perspective to explain that focusing on external impressions, such as body demeanor and appearances takes away from inner reactions at a deeper level. Here direct management of feelings challenges the concept of acting. Therefore, while we do ultimately react in accordance to our roles and do so with poise, how we manage to control the self to do this is followed by our feelings, which is an internal reaction. Hochschild s(1983),work in The Managed Heart: Commercialization of Human Feeling discusses what she considers is key in understanding social interaction and impression management. Taking from Konstantin Stanislavski s concept of method acting , Hochschild forms the concept of deep acting . She illustrates the concept of impression management through deep acting that is different from Goffman s notion of acting. In deep acting, the individual can manage their impression on others by managing how they feel. Here the actor has transpired into the character to a level where they are no longer acting but reacting to their surroundings. In deep acting, the individual relies on their demeanor to act a certain way in a given situation. She explains this process as relying on past experiences and our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 47. The Story Of Joseph As A History Lesson The story of Joseph is one of my favorite in the Bible. Not because it has a happy ending, but because it shows us some incredible attributes of God. As with most biblical study, it s important to not read the story of Joseph as a history lesson, but rather to focus in on what God is doing, what is motivating God, and how God responds to people. In this case, there are some profound theological concepts that can be recognized from just looking a little deeper into the scriptures, past the narrative of what s happening with Joseph. We get both a wonderful image of God s grace and of His beautiful design for how things work together for those who love Him. Further, we see God as constantly at work, more even in the grimy, messy times when it probably seems to Joseph that He is the furthest away. In many ways, the underlying theme through the story of Joseph s life directly addresses one of my biggest questions early in my walk in faith: If God is good, why does He let bad things happen? The story of Joseph starts well before he was born, and the setting of things that would happen to him later in life really began when his father Jacob met his mother. The Bible tells us that Jacob took to Rachel, Joseph s mother, immediately. In Genesis 29:10 11 (ESV), it says Now as soon as Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother s brother, Jacob came near and rolled the stone from the well s mouth and watered the flock of Laban his ... The Effects Of Viral Load On Hiv Essay On November 10, 2016, a new report was released to the public about a special type of microchip that can test the amount of viral load of HIV in less than 30 minutes. This test can be completely self administered. The user can check the viral load amount in the bloodstream by placing a drop of their blood on the microchip, which looks similar to that of a USBdrive. This microchip is then inserted into a computer, tablet, or other handheld device. The results can be achieved in less than 30 minutes, and many users had an answer in about 21 minutes with 95% accuracy. The current method requires sending blood to a laboratory and can take at least three days, if not longer, to detect the viral load present. This microchip can help to monitor those patients who are receiving treatment, but do not have access to local clinics. Although the assassination occurred at the beginning of World War One, it was only an event which sparked off from other conflicts influenced by Nationalism. These conflicts included the First Moroccan Crisis 1906, the Agadir Incident 1911 12 and the naval arms race between Britain and Germany. The conflicts between Serbia and Austria, and previous other conflicts which led up to World War One were predominantly caused by the force of Nationalism. Serbian nationalistic values impacted the way of life for Serbian people. An example of this is Gavrilo Princip. Nationalism influeced him to join the Black Hand and consequently assassinate the Archduke of Austria. His love and loyalty for Serbia caused him to murder for the greater good of his country. The Serbian extreme nationalistic views were produced mainly because of the different rules over the Slav empirres. The people of these states felt that they had to be true to their state and not the empire they belonged in. This caused much unrest between these states. Nationalism changed the lives of people in Europe greatly. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 53. Essay on Analysis of My Papa s Waltz In the poem My Papa s Waltz written by Theodore Roethke, the interpretation of the poem depends on the readers`perspective. Some people think that this poem is one of a happy exchange between a father and son. Other people believe that this poem has a hidden message of parental abuse. In my point of view, the imagery and language, the symbolism, and tone in the poem gave me the impression of the love between the father and son, not of an abusive relationship. My Papa s Waltz is a poem presented in a form that uses specific images and language to present a happy memory that a man has of his father, even in a situation where his father was drunk. Words such as romped (line 5), waltzing (line 4), clinging to your shirt, (line 16) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the third stanza, the narrator is remembering some details like the broken knuckle of his father (line 10), and that his ear was scraping on his father s belt buckle (line 12). As well in the fourth stanza, the narrator mentions the dirt caked on his father s hand (line 14). These images of the son imply a hard working father who had just come home from the plant and was spending time with his little son before putting him to bed. These images also support my point of view that the author still has pleasant memories of the event, which would not be the case if there was abuse, As well, the waltz in the story becomes a symbol of an idealized and elusive relationship between father and son and leads to the title of the poem My Papa s Waltz. The last line of poem, waltzed me off to bed still clinging to your shirt (line 15 16) infers the boy is very dependent on his father and shows his father loves him very much. The constant rhythm throughout the poem gives it a light beat, like a waltz; the reader feels like he is dancing. The rhythm of poem make a reader feel the joy of a child, not the somber sense of abuse, This is like a child dancing since there is no complicated structure, Moreover, stresses on words such as dizzy, easy, buckle, and knuckle give the poem a rather playful feel to the reader. A child who suffered abuse would not be using happy symbolism to remember his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
