Background: Continuous spinal anesthesia (CSA) is a very reliable method for
providing effective anesthesia and offers considerable advantages over single shot
spinal or epidural anesthesia since it provides the performance of well controlled
anesthesia using small doses of local anesthetics and a definite end point with less
failure rate.
Materials and Methods: 100 patients of ASA grade III to IV were scheduled for
elective Major orthopedic Lower Limb Surgeries and they were divided into two
groups, one received continuous spinal anesthesia using spinocath set, the other
group received continuous epidural anesthesia. The doses of local anesthetic used,
hemodynamic variables, a degree of technical difficulties and the incidence of
complications were recorded.
Results: eight patients were excluded (5 CSA and 3 CEA). There was a
significantly lower incidence of paresthesia in the CEA group. The performance
time was significantly shorter in the CEA group. The total dose of bupivacaine and
number of top up doses was significantly smaller in the CSA group than in the CEA
group. The onset of sensory blockade level and motor blockade was significantly

In the last three decades, evidence points to self efficacy as an influential factor in
students life such as academic achievement and educational attainment (Karaarslan
Sungur, 2011; Merritt Buboltz, 2015). Self efficacy has been a recurring predictor
for students academic success because it is an indicator of motivation and
perseverance towards reaching a goal (Bandura, Barbaranelli, Caprara, Pastorelli,
2001). In Turcios Cotto and Milan s (2013) study, for example, Latino students
were found to be less likely than other minorities to endorse or picture themselves
continuing their education in their future. The self efficacy theory traces to
psychologist Bandura s social cognitive theory (1986) which defines self efficacy

Research suggests that self efficacy directly affects motivation and persistence and
therefore the type of goals and expectations individuals will set for themselves

Introduction:
Throughout history, social movement organizations (SMOs) or small groups,
loosely connected by a shared purpose have created transformational change.
Charles Tilly defines social movements as a series of contentious performances,
displays and campaigns, by which ordinary people make collective claims on others
(Tilly 2004:3). Examples of these movements are the Women s suffrage, civil rights
and the LGBTQ movement. Similar forces are transforming businesses, military
affairs and religion. SMOs have become an important part of society because these
movements provide a forum for grievances and demands to be heard. These
movements also provide citizens an institution outside of the traditional political
system.
The purpose of this paper is twofold: 1) to better understand the potential connection
between the old and new movements and 2) determine if a certain theory, strategy,
method or goal makes a social movement more or less successful compared to others
as it takes more than feelings of frustration to persuade an individual to sacrifice time,
money, relationships on these grievances. As will be indicated in the literature
review, there are several arguments concerning the success of social movements.

The lack of specialised care options available for Indigenous LGBTQI+ individuals
is substantial, and this lack of care has resulted in a severe mental health crisis

A visit to Mable s Fables was totally a new experience for me. First of all this was my
first visit to any bookstore so I wasn t expecting anything fancy except some
children books on shelves , some kids and their parents. But I am glad to say that I

Mabel s Fables is one of the oldest children s bookstores in Toronto. They have been
bringing kids closer to books and literature since 1988.They completed their 25th
year anniversary last year in 2013. I visited the bookstore on 14th of February
2014.Most of the section was covered with red purple, blue, white and yellow. Most
of the interior is with purple white and yellow. As it was valentines that s why there
was touch of color red everywhere. The place has been designed and painted in
such a way that it sooths your eyes as soon u walk in the store. The color
combination mesmerized me so much and had no option but to ask one of the staff
members about who chooses the color scheme, the pattern, and the answer I got blew
me off. The answer was it s the staff members and manager that decide about how the
things should be setup with what color scheme as they keep on changing it now and
