Duties and Responsibilities
• Work closely with the core team of experts to ensure timely inputs of the
available monitoring findings into the Development Budget;
• Vocational Education and Training in a variety of geographic locations within
Punt land.

(KDO), Garowe, Puntland, Somalia
Duties and Responsibilities:
General oversight of general aspects of KDO’s food security and livelihood
programs in Punt land.
Provision of advice and leadership on the development and implementation of
KDO’s food security and livelihood programming and overall management of all
aspects of the program. This includes: assessment, planning, implementation,
monitoring, capacity building of local NGO partners and KDO staff, reporting and
evaluation of program and preparing periodic reports back to donors, as well as
close coordination with other organization’s efforts through all Punt land areas.
Management of program implementation, including staff management, reporting
and budget control.
Conduct surveys, needs assessments and oversees M&E data collection
throughout project cycle and for development of future program initiatives
Monitor and maintain coordination with different stratum of community in national,
regional, district and household levels in areas, where KDO’s agricultural/food
security/livelihoods programs operate
Participation or leadership in NGO, INGO, and other coordination meetings on
food security/livelihoods/early recovery
Ensured all food security and/or livelihood program activities are in line with
government strategy/policy and understand and apply all relevant best practices
Responsible for day-day management of the engineering and technical staff.
Assign tasks and projects to each staff member.
Monitor their progress in regards to the plan and provide all necessary follow up.
Ensured the timely completion of technical support activities in line with budgets
and estimates.
Report on any problems encountered in the field such as participant complaints,
local authority interferences and security threats to KDO’s staff and activities.
Provision of capacity building to KDO staff to promote greater understanding of
and adherence to principles and mechanisms of transparency and accountability.
Acted as contact person and provided oversight for program implementation
conducted by local NGO’s and other implementing stakeholders.

Provision of advice and leadership on the development and implementation of KDO’s food security and livelihood programming and overall management of all aspects of the program. This includes: assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, capacity building of local NGO partners and KDO staff, reporting and evaluation of program and preparing periodic reports back to donors, as well as close coordination with other organization’s efforts through all Punt land areas. Management of program implementation, including staff management, reporting and budget control. Conduct surveys, needs assessments and oversees M&E data collection throughout project cycle and for development of future program initiatives Monitor and maintain coordination with different stratum of community in national, regional, district and household levels in areas, where KDO’s agricultural/food security/livelihoods programs operate Participation or leadership in NGO, INGO, and other coordination meetings on food security/livelihoods/early recovery Ensured all food security and/or livelihood program activities are in line with government strategy/policy and understand and apply all relevant best practices Responsible for day-day management of the engineering and technical staff.
