Duties and responsibilities
1. Community mobilization and facilitation
• Facilitate the communities and other stakeholders in resource mobilization including
participation initial concept notes and full proposal development
• Facilitates effective participation of children, families, communities and stakeholders
in program activities
• Facilitate communities in the design, implementation and monitoring of community
managed projects in line with the CCCD agenda.
2. Coordination and Networking
• Establish good working relations with children, families, community leadership,
community based organizations (CBOs), government extension staff, implementing
partners and other stakeholders at ward and village levels
• Participate and organize in stakeholder meetings and networks at ward and village
levels.

• Coordinate all Plan`s business at the grassroots and facilitate the process of self-
empowerment of children, families, groups and association.

3. Building relationship (BR) activities
• Create community awareness and the community volunteer on development
education and communication.
• Facilitate the process of community reflections and project effectiveness.
• Facilitate meaningful dialogue between children, families, communities and sponsors
using Plan`s sponsorship and development communication mechanism and tools.
• Promote integration of BR and program processes at field level
• Facilitate production of quality BR products to meet set deadlines
• Carry out regular home visits to sponsored families
4. Child Protection
 Promote and facilitate child rights based programming at field level.
 Promote and abide by internal policies and procedures including but not limited to:
Child Protection Policy; Code of Conduct; mandatory reporting responsibility
 Reports all incidents and concerns on child abuse to the relevant authorities.
 Ensures that the Ward and Village Child Protection Committees are fully functional.
 Ensure all partners and relevant others, including children and communities, are
trained, sign and have access to the child protection policy (and other relevant
documents such as the Code of Conduct), are aware of its contents and clear about
the responsibilities it places on them.
5. Reports
 Develop and submit to the PUM monthly progress and status reports, Projects
Outlines with budgets and annual action plans
 Monitor progress of project expenditures and submit budget modification request to
the PUM
6. Property Management
 Manage and maintain any assigned property or assets such as motor cycles or
other equipment’s in accordance with established rules and procedures.

7. Gender mainstreaming
 Mainstream gender programming in all Plan business at the community level.
 Promote and abide to Plan gender policy.
