• A family are enjoying a lovely warm Christmas in their homes whilst
their father/husband is away working.
• There is a negative atmosphere in the home as the whole family are
not together on this special day.
• All of a sudden the family hear a knock on the door to find a special
person waiting there-Father Christmas!
• He then all of a sudden reveals himself to be the father/husband
who has a special box with him.
• The special box reveals to be a full of Coca Cola for the whole family
to enjoy.
• Coca Cola- Bringing the world closer.

• Clear structure of what you are intending to do
• This is also a way of changing and developing your ideas
• Weaknesses of using this method
• You may not have enough ideas to full fill the advert
• You could make the advert which ends up to be the same as another coke advert
which could be copyright
• You may go onto a tangent and fall off track with the initial idea and use ideas
which don’t fit the criteria at all.

but slightly differently.
8. Mood Board
• Strengths of using this method

• Weaknesses of using this method
You may not have a lot of ideas for your advert and it could be very simple
which could make it plain and boring.

• Yes it helps as you could look back at your mood board to take ideas
if you are struggling for things to put in your advergame.

• Strengths of using this method
• This helps as you can link words and styles to the theme of your game.
• Weaknesses of using this method
• You may not find enough styles which connects to your theme which may
ruin the styles.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes I like it because it gives you a wide range of styles and designs
to choose from and you don’t have to stay on one design.

17. Group Idea Generation
• Strengths of using this method
• Helps the group be able to mix up ideas or add to them in a
organised way
• Weaknesses of using this method
• Can’t go into much detail because its more short sentences style of notes
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• I did personally because it allowed us to get a good mix of ideas for
our story and theme.
18. Informal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
• You can get feedback on your advert and see what to improve on
• Weaknesses of using this method
• Your tutor may not like the same ideas as your group
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• I liked this method because it showed some of the ides that we could
improve on that we hadn’t seen before.

• Weaknesses of using this method
• you may not have completely got the pitch as well as you wanted
• Did you like using this method? Why?

20. Evaluation
I think our groupwork worked very well and we managed to finish it
quickly and it has hit standards which we are pleased with and
standards which we think our tutors will be happy with as well.
We kept on track with our theme of Christmas and the script sounded
well which linked to the main category of Christmas which set the scene
of our advert.
We got the audio/background noises of the Christmas theme to set the
scene of our advert.

22. Initial Reaction
• I was very scared at first to use photoshop as I had never used it
before and I didn’t think my ideas would work as well as they did on
photoshop.
• I was also quite excited at the same time as I had never used it before
but I get very excited when using different software and trying new
things.
23. Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
• This helps you see what you thought the game would plan out at the
beginning but then you get surprised of how good the game becomes in the
end.
• Weaknesses of using this method
• This could go wrong because your initial reaction could go wrong which
means you might not have a second plan so you are stuck on what you have
to do.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes I liked this method as there was a clear structure on to how you
wanted to plan out your advergame but you can also make it better
by changing things if need be.
25. Sketches
• Strengths of using this method
• This helps you give an idea what the advert will hopefully look like
• Weaknesses of using this method
• The weakness of this method is that it can be time consuming and you might
not get to complete the sketch
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• yes I liked this method as you have a whole idea of how you want
your advert to look rather than making it up as you are doing it.
26. Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
• This helps you go back to the advergame and see why you made the
advergame like you did and it helps people seeing the advergame understand
the concept of the game
• Weaknesses of using this method
• You might not know the audience or what kind of people will be interested
and that could change the target audience after the advergame is complete.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes I like this method as it give a clear structure to why the
advergame is made how it is and what audience will be interested in
the game.
