Mind Map
Mind Map
• Strengths of using this method
The strengths of using this method are that you can visualize
your research and thoughts. It also makes you consider more
things and put more detail into different aspects of the
mindmap.
• Weaknesses of using this method
Once you have a lot of points down, it can get cluttered.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I don’t really like how cluttered it can get, I prefer writing in
bulletpoints.
Mood Board
Mood Board
• Strengths of using this method
Visualize ideas and imagery. It makes it clearer to
see common motifs amongst the advertisements.
• Weaknesses of using this method
It’s only images.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes because I like using images to visualize my
ideas.
Style Sheet
LOKI COLA
TCCC UNITY
Style Sheet
• Strengths of using this method
Forces you to consider things that shall be consistent
throughout advertisements. It will also save time, since
research is being done now.
• Weaknesses of using this method
Weaknesses are that you can easily get lost in finding
fonts, and make it harder to select which ones you want
to use later on.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes, as I like researching and looking for fonts that
could fit different styles for the poster.

SLOGAN
Layout Plan
• Strengths of using this method
Strengths of using this method are that you can plan out
the layout and styles of the advertisement, and
experiment with different ideas before the actual
creation of the advertisement begins.
• Weaknesses of using this method
A weakness is that you’re limited by pre-existing images
online that you have to search for and find.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes, as I am able to create rough drafts of my layout.

considered every aspect of the idea.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Since it’s one person, ideas are limited. And you
might prefer physically experimenting first.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
- Not really as I found it hard to come up with ideas
on my own.
Group Idea Generation

• Strengths of using this method
– It’s effective to get insight and ideas from other
people
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Conflict can arise over people having different
ideas.

before properly pitching it so the idea can be
tweaked to perfection.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Its only feedback from one person
• Did you like using this method? Why?
- Yes because getting feedback is always useful
Formal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
– A strength of using this method is that it makes sure
you’ve thought through everything and have a solid
idea for a product.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– You might have to change things in your product once
finding out some things don’t fit formal guidelines
• Did you like using this method? Why?
- I liked this method because I found it useful to properly
write out the pitch in a formal context.
Initial Reaction
• My initial idea to the advergame task was
immediately thinking how I could make a
game related to coca-cola
My idea is for a coca-cola themed mascot to run
in a sidescroller and the aim of the game is to
make people happy by giving them coca-cola.
Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
– Strengths of initial reaction is that it allows you to
think about what to do before going straight in to
production.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– A weakness is that your idea may change as
production begins or you may be unable to implement
ideas from the initial reaction.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
- Yes I liked using this method because I liked being
able to write about my initial ideas.
Sketches

• Did you like using this method? Why?
- Yes, I liked using this method as I found it
useful to sketch out different ideas and test
things before creating them digitally.
Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
– The strengths of using a formal proposal is that it
makes you think through every aspect of the product
and makes sure you’ve fully planned it out.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– A weakness is that you may need to change parts of
your product because they don’t fit the guidelines.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
- Yes, I found it useful
