A Theory Of Justice By Rawls
In his book A Theory of Justice , Rawls was dissatisfied with the traditional philosophical arguments
about what makes a social institution just and about what justifies political or social actions and
policies. The utilitarian argument holds that societies should pursue the greatest good for the greatest
number. This argument has a number of problems, including, especially, that it seems to be consistent
with the idea of the tyranny of majorities over minorities. The intuitionist argument holds that humans
intuit what is right or wrong by some innate moral sense. This is also problematic because it simply
explains away justice by saying that people know it when they see it and it fails to deal with the many
conflicting human intuitions.
Rawls attempts to establish a reasoned account of social justice through the social contract approach.
This approach holds that a society is in some sense an agreement among all those within that society.
If a society were an agreement, Rawls asks, what kind of arrangement would everyone agree to? He
states that the contract is a purely hypothetical one: He does not argue that people had existed outside
the social state or had made agreements to establish a particular type of society.
Rawls begins his work with the idea of justice as fairness. He identifies the basic structure of society
as the primary subject of justice and identifies justice as the first virtue of social institutions. He
considers justice a matter of the organization

Racial Categories
1. Given that there s no objective way to classify people, according to the Race The Power of an
Illusion website, discuss if you think the government should define racial categories. If not, why not?
If so, how and what definitions would best help us remedy inequality?
A. The government should not define racial categories. My personal belief is all humans are connected
regardless of race. Pigment colors can be altered by mutations or genetic disorders. The census is
solely based on biased public responses. Therefore, the census effectiveness is compromised by non
measurable data. The data is not meaningful because the racial categories might not have the same

House On Mango Street Book Assignment
Book Assignment For this book assignment I decided to read the book The House on Mango Street by
Sandra Cisneros. Cisneros uses a series of vignettes to tell the story of Esperanza Cordero and a year
of her life on Mango Street. Esperanza is a 12 year old Mexican American girl, or Chicana, living in a
congested Latino neighborhood located in the more poorer area of Chicago. The story begins with
Esperanza s family moving to a new house on Mango street which she describes as an upgrade from
their previous house but it is still not the home her heart desires. Esperanza has big dreams of
eventually leaving Mango Street and owning her own real house with a big yard and multiple
washrooms, just like the ones she sees on television. Esperanza s journey into maturity and
development is described through these interestingly written vignettes. She begins writing poetry as a
way of expressing the events happening in her life such as developing friends, puberty and sprouting
hips, and even dealing with sexual assault. The first half of the book begins with Esperanza wanting to
continue to play in her little child bubble but is pushed into the world of adulthood when dealing with
the deaths of her grandfather and Aunt Lupe and when she is abruptly kissed by an older man while at
her first job. Esperanza also writes about her neighbors and happenings of the neighborhood to paint a
picture of the different paths in life that are available to her. She switches her interest to the older
women of the neighborhood who each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Summary Of The Late Traveler And Chris Mccandless
Home is a mindset. With definitions of home varying for so many people, there is no way to tie it to a
single, concrete definition. People from both extremes, those who stay and those who wander, derive
pleasure and contentment from their choices of home . Tying a definition to the word home is similar
to attempting to define what makes a human being feel comfortable. The words, while simple on the
surface, mean very different things to every person making them impossible to define completely. So
what is a home? Home to me is a location, a sensation, and a state of mind that is combination of four
different aspects: shared happiness, the present moment, passion, and the ability to adapt. The late
traveler and wanderer Chris McCandless spent years traveling the country living his dream as a
modern day nomad. His last known writing is this, happiness only real when shared. Despite the time
spent to himself, away from everyone close to him and the experiences he made, his final thoughts
were that happiness could not be possible without a loved one to share them with. Shared happiness
came to me in the form of family while growing up with a career military father. Needless to say, my
family experienced relocation more than most. In fifteen years we moved thirteen times, a few of
those moves being out of the country. Moving can take its toll on a young man; uprooting friendships,
new schools, unfamiliar places, and sometimes feeling as if there is no set

Climate Overview of the Singapore area: The climate overview in Singapore is tropical due to the fact
that this country is located near the equator. They have an abundant amount of rainfall, high
temperatures, and increasing amount of humidity year round. If you were to look at a climate graph
that spanned over a course of five years, you would not see much variation. But if you looked at a
climate graph spanned over a course of five hours, you would see much more variation due to solar
heating. The climate is characterized by two monsoon seasons that Singapore experiences; from
December March and June September. This comes with a constant flow of heavy winds as well as
heavy rainfall, resulting is extremely high humidity. What Biome is Singapore in? Based on the
climate charts and articles, Singapore is a rainforest biome due to the high temperature, abundant
amount of rainfall, and humidity. In a rainforest, there are layers of plants that cover the surface,
middle, and above. The plants native to Singapore don t resemble these characteristics, but most of
them do bloom and produce a fruit of some sort. The animals that live and adapt to this environment

The Importance Of Dreams
Dreams have been a mystery of the human mind since the beginning of time. Their purpose and
importance to our lives varies depending on where you go for information, but it is clear that dreams
are something that come along with being human. According to the theory of Sigmund Freud, dreams
are a way for our mind to process the things we are feeling in the form of symbolism (Freud 350).
While many brush off their dreams as simply a way for their brain to relieve stress and process the
previous day, there is a large percentage of people who believe that their dreams are a message, or a
warning, from the beyond.
In Medieval times, one of the most common beliefs about dreams was that they were used as the
primary way in which higher powers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Miracles and dream visions are often paired together in the Christian faith, specifically inside of the
Catholic denomination. According to the information that I found, they call these visions private
revelations. Even though they accept the idea that a Christian can be exposed to a vision, they are
quick to distinguish the difference between private revelation and magic. This is confirmed in a direct
quote from the Global Catholic Network, which says Alleged revelations which propose to improve
upon, correct or entirely supplant Public Revelation are rejected by the Church as inauthentic,
regardless of the claims made for them. Such revelations include those of Mohammed in the Koran,
Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon, the writings of new age mystics, psychics and the like
(Donovan, Apparitions/Private Revelations).
Another well known dream vision is Caedmon s Hymn, which was written by Bede. Caedmon s
Hymn is about a vision from God that changes a man s entire life around. Caedmon is not much help
in his church community, because he cannot sing praises. Caedmon is so distraught by this on one
occasion that he runs away to the stables and falls asleep. During his slumber, Caedmon dreams that
God asks him to sing. Caedmon sings the most beautiful and poetic song about creation, and
remembers every line when he awakes. He promptly goes and tells everyone he knows, and becomes
revered by the church

involved in her depression and created a more suffocating feeling: I couldn t feel a thing...it wouldn t

floor of the jar trying to escape; thus, the arm is revealed in a reaching motion. Personally, the events
Esther experiences are incomprehensible, and I found it difficult to connect with her through all the
distortion and change. For this reason, I filled the bell jar with darkness, leaving no trace of Esther s
mental or physical state. To contrast with this dark state, I covered the background with a minty light
green to represent the stability, freedom, and comfort that Esther yearns. This escape from death is the

Marketing Strategy Of Nokia
Background
Nokia was the world s largest mobile phone maker for 14 years. The company was once acclaimed for
its marketing strategy success for changing mobile phones from just a communication device to
everyday fashion accessories. However, in today s global smartphone market, Nokia has only 3% of
the market share and is declining. The company s decreasing sales was an obvious sign of
vulnerability leading to the selloff of its mobile device business to Microsoft in 2013 (Surowiecki,
2013).
Marketing Concept
The marketing concept is the philosophy that companies analyze consumers needs and then develop
products or services to satisfy them ( Marketing Principle , 2012, p. 11). For Nokia, before Microsoft
acquiring its business unit, mobile phone was its number one offerings. The company was able to
create and define the market from its superior smartphone designs and early adoption of technologies
such as operating systems, Global System for Mobile communication (GSM), and built in camera

Research Paper On Marching Band
Marching Band: The Struggle is Real What comes to mind when someone mentions marching band?
Is it the music, uniforms, or the movements? Marching band is the sport in which musicians play
while they march on a field to make shapes, but it s not as easy as it looks? They have to practice a lot,
even during the summer; some practices are even 12 hours long. Even through all of this it is a great
sport to take part in. This year was my first year in marching band and it was hard! I had to go through
a lot of different struggles. Before school even started this year I came to school Monday through
Friday for two weeks to learn how to be in marching band. The first week we practiced from 8 to 6
and during the second week we practiced from 8 to 8. That is a 12 hour practice. At practices we
would start with stretches then start our conditioning. That is where we would walk for one minute,
jog for 45 seconds then sprint for 15 seconds: repeat. We did this for 10 minutes. After we conditioned
we would have a water break. If you join marching band, you start to understand why people always
say to stay hydrated because it can cause some serious problems. Usually during the water breaks
Abby, Jema, Corbin and me would talk all kinds of stuff from Corbin s leg hair to bras and food. Sadly
our water breaks aren t very long. We start practicing our marching and the basics of playing while
moving at a fast tempo. We do this by listening to music through the speaker. By the time we are

Voting Is A Central Right
Voting is a central right to each American citizen. Your vote is your chance to be listened, to hold
chosen elected officials responsible for their actions and to have a say in vital issues that influences
your community. You can t have an effectively run democratic government without the backing and
votes of the citizens. Voting gives the capacity for individuals to express their opinions about the
administration. Each vote consoles our majority rule government and makes it stronger; we can t
allow it to weaken and crumble. A large number of Americans battled for our rights, they shed their
blood to give us what we have today. Whether you vote or not, somebody will be chosen president.
What s more, that individual will be your leader, settling on choices that influence you and this nation
for a long time to come.
A few individuals contend it s not worth trying to vote either on the grounds that they don t care for
the hopefuls or they don t trust government regardless of which party holds the Congress. Numerous
individuals are furious with the legislature and couldn t care less to vote. Voting is both a privilege and
an obligation as a citizen. Our democratic system is established upon the guideline of free and
reasonable elections in which each qualified citizen casts a vote. You have the decision to make about
whether to practice your entitlement to vote. In any case, it makes a difference. You have the last say.
Democratic system is unrealistic without the

Character Analysis Of Louis Zamperini In Laura...
Louis Zamperini, the main character of Laura Hillenbrand s biography Unbroken, led a promising
running career in his life prior to his military service and captivity. In 1931, Louis was encouraged to
join the Torrance High School track team by his older brother, Pete. Running came easily to Louis,
and became a force to be reckoned with rapidly in the racing world, dropping his mile time to just
under five minutes by 1933. He gave some of the fastest men in the country a scare at the 1936
Olympic Trials when he nearly beat Don Lash, America s fastest runner of the 5,000 meter race, and
proceeded to compete in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Aside from the resounding fame that his running
career provided him, it also instilled discipline, dedication, and astounding willpower that followed

Roy Adaptation Model
Nursing Theorist: Roy Adaptation Model Jeanette Ratliff, RN Chamberlain College of Nursing Course
Number: Summer 2011 Nursing Theorist: Roy Adaptation Model Sister Callista Roy was not only a
pioneer in the field of nursing, but also a leader. Her dedication to the health community is inarguable.
As serving numerous roles as leader, her thoughts and visions touched many. One example of her
mark in nursing is the Roy Adaptation Model. It is in this model that health is defined as a state of
adaptation that occurs as a result of successfully adapting to stressors. It is a positive response to an
environmental change as well as coping successfully with stressors and environmental changes. Roy

There is a zone which shows the correlation between adaptive response and the range of stimulation.
When stimuli fall outside the zone, Roy points out that the individual is without effective coping
skills. Therefore the individual is unable to respond positively. Coping mechanisms consist of
regulator and cognator subsystems. The regulator subsystem is made up of automatic neural endocrine
and chemical activity. The cognator subsystem consists of cognitive and emotive pathways. These
pathways involve information processing, learning, judgment, and emotions (George, 2002). In the
final component of her model Roy address the goal of nursing is to promote adaptation in each of the
four modes. By doing so, promotes a person s health, quality of life, and dying and dignity. The four
models according to Andrews and Roy, (1991) are physiological, self concept, role function and
interdependence. Roy s model includes six steps in order to carry out the nursing process. These steps
are assessment of behavior, assessment of stimuli, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, interventions, and
evaluation. To assess behavior, it is stressed that behavior is observed and compared to norms and
considered either adaptive or ineffective. The assessment of stimuli involves classifying the stimuli
into one of the three stimuli categories, focal, contextual, and residual, and assessing how the affects

you with your questions and concerns, below is a written report of my suggestions and
recommendations in having your business runs smoothly and successful. 1) You have created a
spreadsheet to help keep track of your expenses and I have noticed that you have not totaled your
expenses. In spreadsheets there are ways that you can total by using formulas or functions. For
example at the top of the spreadsheet from A H these are called columns so in the F column type in
=SUM (B5:E5) then you hit the enter key on the keyboard. To get through each day in each row in
column F you repeat the steps but this time you changed only the number for ... Show more content on

another user s computer, each user can access or share files in other for that to happen the user need to
know the name of computer they wish to connect to and access to printing or scanning may be
cumbersome as usernames and passwords being remembered is vital in order to gain access. It needs
absolutely no training and it is not costly, however as mentioned earlier remembering the usernames
and passwords are vital. I would recommend that you choose Peer to peer because it is costless and
easy to use, besides having to remember all the computer names and passwords. The second Network
is the Client/Server Network, the Client/Server Network is a centralized network, reasons for, all
computers will be connected to a server which is in the centre there will be one central administrator,
you could assign a staff or you could be the own administrator, only the administrator decides what to
share and not share, this means files will be a lot safer and some files will remain secure. It also
connects up to ten computers or more. This network is quite expensive and you will need to be trained
to use it. This network would

Christopher Wren Contributions
Christopher Wren s advancements during his time were some of the best and well known. He
furthered science and technology as a professor and helped rebuild the lives of many through his
architecture. Even with his being sick all the time he still was able to help and contribute. Wren s
many achievements and discoveries as well as his contribution to the London fire lead him to being
remembered in history and influenced other scientists along the way. Christopher Wren s architecture
was greatly influenced by the architecture before him. Medieval and baroque architecture especially.
Baroque architecture is tall arches long hallways and grand entrances and rooms. Almost everything is
covered in gold and intricate designs. There are often mirrors and windows lining the walls. At the
entrance there are usually roman columns. Art and tapestries cover everything as well. Every the entire
building is symmetrical making it look visually pleasing. The medieval architecture had tall arches
and spires throughout the building. The spires were tall symbolizing to look to God not the world.
These attributes among others influenced Wren s designs. In fact wren said, The secret of architectural
excellence is to translate the proportions of a dachshund into bricks, mortar and marble. (Geraghty 2).
Christopher Wren was born October 20,1632, in East Knoyle, United Kingdom. Wren s mother was
Mary Cox, and his father was Christopher Wren senior. Christopher Wren Jr. was married to Jane

Adenosine Function In The Body
Function in the body Adenosine primarily acts in the central nervous system. It promotes sleep in the
evening and assists the brain to wake up in the morning. The concentration of adenosine is highest in
the brain during waking hours and it builds up the longer a person is awake. Since the ATP reserves
are depleted and stored in the brain, it results in the buildup of adenosine in the brain. When a person
is asleep, adenosine is metabolized by adenosine deaminase, which results in a decreased
concentration in the brain in the morning which causes a person to wake up. In the brain there are
several receptors for adenosine, one being the A1 receptors which are mostly in the cerebellum, it
helps with memory storage. A2 receptors are in the striatum ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Mississauga Roads Research Paper
Mississauga roads are becoming less dependable and there have been numerous accidents happening
throughout the year. Citizens of Mississauga are oblivious when it comes to road safety. They are not

distract drivers, which in turn causes awful deaths. The top three issues are texting while driving,
drunk driving, also known as impaired driving and the dangerous issue of faulty cars. It will require
some serious brainstorming to find a way to tackle these issues.
Mississauga car drivers are being lazy with their driving skills, it s been said that never texting while

Many Americans know of the dominant Democratic and Republican parties when talking about

Government Corruption In Liberia
Liberia has a multi party system, with seventeen total parties. The government is modeled after the
United States government. The legislature seems to hold the most power in the country, while the
president is immune from suits, proceedings, and arrests, the president can still be impeached from the
office for treason or bribery. There is a national and a local government, though the local government
is appointed by the president until each county can afford to hold their own elections.
The elections are comparatively free, fair, and peaceful, though there were isolated incidents of
violence before and after voting, and the government shut down radio and television stations before
the vote. The president is directly elected by absolute majority in two rounds for a six year term and
are eligible for a second term. The most recent election was October 10, 2017. Although the run off
election that was scheduled for November 7 was put on hold due to fraud allegations. The current
president in office is Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. She was the first elected female head of state in Africa.
She is the role of both chief of state and head of government.
The legislature has a senate and a house of representatives. The senate has thirty members and they
serve nine year terms. The House of representative has seventy three members and has a six year term.
The last elections were due to be in 2014 but were delayed to the outbreak of Ebola.

Power Series Method For Solving Linear Differential Equations
ABSTRACT In this work, we studied that Power Series Method is the standard basic method for
solving linear differential equations with variable coefficients. The solutions usually take the form of
power series; this explains the name Power series method. We review some special second order
ordinary differential equations. Power series Method is described at ordinary points as well as at
singular points (which can be removed called Frobenius Method) of differential equations. We present
a few examples on this method by solving special second order ordinary differential equations.
Key words ; Power series, differential equations, Frobenius Method, Lengendre polynomials
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The attempt to solve physical problems led gradually to Mathematical models involving an equation
in which a function and its derivatives play important role. However, the theoretical development of
this new branch of Mathematics Differential Equations has its origin rooted in a small number of
Mathematical problems. These problems and their solutions led to an independent discipline with the
solution of such equations an end in itself (Sasser, 2005).
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The research work seeks to find solutions of second order ordinary differential equations using the
power series method.
1.3 AIM AND OBJECTIVES
The aim and objectives of the study are to: Describe the power series method. Use it to solve linear
ordinary differential equations with

Stress is like a nagging sister. Disclaimer: not saying I have one of these or anything.
She pulls our hair, pokes us when we re concentrating, and to reflect a bit, embarrassed us when we

The effects stress has on you both mentally and physically is killing you.

One of these obstacles was dealing with a new third party to handle repairs. If you know me, any new

It is commonly accepted that the population size of Homo sapiens was small in the beginning, with
such a limited number and scattered population due to the existence of hunter gatherers, a significant
level of inbreeding would have been inevitable, almost indefinitely involving multiple kin
relationships. These unions continued during the following slow population growth of human groups
living mainly in rural settlements, with bottlenecks caused by periodic epidemics, famines, and

During the mid 19th century in Europe and North America first cousin marriage remained socially
accepted and widely favored, especially among more privileged classes. When one looks at the history

Gertude Stein And The Art Of Cubism Essay
The Cubist painter renounced the work of artists who drew only what society wanted to view as art.
Instead of painting for the appraisers of conventional art, Cubist painters assembled shapes and
movement from different angles to create a completely innovative artistic perspective. Like the Cubist
artist, Gertrude Stein, a modernist writer of the 20th century, rejected the expectations of a society that
required writing to model the speech of the English language just as it required art to model the
visions and still life images of everyday situations and experiences. Stein s writing is often compared
to the visual art of modernist painting, such as Duchamp s work from the 1913 Armory Show, Nude

In the section entitled A Waist, Stein uses anaphora and begins each of three separate, disconnected
thought patterns in the same manner: A star glide, a single franctic sullenness, a single financial grass
greediness. Object that is in wood. Hold the pine, hold the dark, hold in the rush, make the bottom. A
piece of crystal. A change, in a change that is remarkable there is no reason to say that there was a
time. A woolen object gilded. A country climb is the best disgrace, a couple of practices an of them in
order is so left (1171). A pattern is maintained within this section that creates the rhythm between the
separated thought patterns, but at the same time does not permit the reader to move out of the present,
thus forcing the reader to continue moving through the section. The disconnected thought patterns
within Stein s work are created mainly by the construction of unlikely associations between the words
within each phrase, and also between the sections and their corresponding headings. Duchamp s
painting also uses unlikely associations between what is seen initially when glancing at his work, and
what the disjointed shapes and angles are meant to represent according to the title of the painting.
Stein and Duchamp both place labels on their pieces that initially implant an idea of what the viewer
may be intended to see, such as

The Importance Of Street Culture In El Barrio
There is an area in NYC named El Barrio within El Barrio there is a large group of working class
Puerto Rican residents living their lives but struggling with facing street cultural and their ethnic
background. Living in harsh situations put a toll on the residents that were trying to live and make it
out. In El Barrio, street culture is clustered and influential and is challenging for them to continue the
traditional Puerto Rican culture. In this paper, I agree that street culture has a significant impact on the
resident than their traditional Puerto Rican culture, I demonstrate by looking at their jobs,
relationships, drug usage. Also, looking at substantial, significant residents Primo for a male aspect,
Candy for a female perspective, but connect to the whole community in El Barrio. I believe this is
significant because these are the three main topics that was brought up also the two main voices for
each gender, which helps the reader read about the unique way street culture had started to have more
of an influence of tradition.
Jobs had a significant factor on the residents in El Barrio and is profoundly affected by the street
culture. First, the traditional way Puerto Ricans found jobs were in the nearby factories. It was a trade
that they learned, and they stayed at for years many never left. Even though working conditions were
not high and most worked as assembly line work they stayed with it. There were benefits to working
for decent pay, overtime. It was common

Simplicity By William Zinsser
William Zinsser is an American writer who wrote an informational guide to writing. He made a
decision to revise a specific chapter called Simplicity. In the year 1980, the first version of Simplicity
was created, then came 1998 followed up by 2006. In the first version, 1980, Zinsser created a long
and wordy paper. He used specific examples but included details that were unnecessary. This is ironic
because the paper is about how writers can write unnecessary words and phrases creating complicated
sentences. He was not inclusive of gender, naming men as writers and only using wives as examples
of distraction. This draft had a complete count of 20 paragraphs. The 1998 version had few changes

(Paragraph 2 2006) He changed viscous language to clotted language. This makes sense, he used a

because it was an extra unneeded detail. The sentence made complete sense just as what father or
mother can put together a child s toy from the instructions on the box? . In paragraph 4 he changed
what was originally the president of a major university in versions from 1980 and 98 to the president
of my university in the 2006 version, making a personal connection with the reader. (Paragraph 8
2006) He completely redid the paragraph. In the 1980 and 1994 version, the 8th paragraph was
completely unneeded and included a story that seemed unrelated to the topic of writing. It started as I
love to be alone . The 2006 version of this paragraph wasn t completely off topic from the original. I
still believe this paragraph isn t needed, even with the shortening. With the 2006 version he has taken
out the he s and switched to they . This allows women to feel included, making it more likely for a
female to enjoy the writing. It felt noninclusive in the first two versions. In the newest version
(paragraph 10) he included devices relevant to that time period. Instead of saying he, he said a man or

Is It Really Fate? There are 19 major world religions which are subdivided into a total of 270 large

system that dates back to early times is, Fatalism. Still seen today in popular movies, books, T.V.
shows and other works of art, fatalism is the belief that, all things and events are inevitable. Movies
like: The Breakfast Club, Dirty Dancing, and Serendipity all show examples of how fatalism is still
real. In the movie, The Breakfast Club, which is based on five different high school students, all
meeting each other in detention. It is significant that they all different stereotypes because it later
shows how much they are truly alike although they are different. If in the movie, if the director would

The constitutional environment that Augustus created was made slowly overtime to ensure that the

Persuasive Speech About Sex Education
Did you know that 24 states in the US require their public schools to teach sex education and HIV
education to their students (NCL.org)? Do they even need to understand sex or STDs? Well of course
not. That s why schools should not even teach these students sex because it s just going to be too much
for the high school students young mind, sex education will definitely motivate the students to have
sex regardless of their sexuality , and it s up to their not so busy parents to explain sex and all its glory
to their children who are attending high school.
First off, why would you want to teach high school students about sex if you know it s going to be too
much for their young, innocent minds? Let s face it, once when the teacher begins to talk about the
males baby maker and the females foo foo the students are going to start laughing, or getting very
uncomfortable. Very mature children, won t you say? Of course, the teachers are not going to call it
baby maker or foo foo they re going to say the correct terms. Furthermore, sex education will most
likely have to touch on the more sensitive topics like sexual harassment, or prostitution. Students
having to hear about innocent people being raped is already crossing the line, and learning that women
and maybe men are willing to have sex just to gain money. Might as well drop the class, or start
skipping it.
If for some reason the students are able to handle the lessons of sex, then that means they re going to
be motivated to want to have sex with each other regardless their sexuality. Evidently this class is
going to motivate them, the students, to have sex, and the students are not going to give a flip about
the results. They re going to eventually learn that sex can be a pleasurable action as explained in both
stage three and five of Sigmund Freud s psychosexual development theory. Stage three, which is the
phallic stage, states that around the age of three to five years old, the child will seek for pleasure that
is centered on masturbation and/or oral sex. Furthermore, stage five of the theory, which is the genital
stage, states that around the age of 12 through adulthood centers on the seeking for sexual pleasuring
through romantic

Why Is Globalization Important In International Trade
Globalisation could be defined as the growth to a global or worldwide scale. Globalisation has brought
a wave of improvement and development in technology and knowledge, also bought a change to the
world. Many fields of knowledge have been affected, the new technologies have been built and have
been shown to the public. As in the other fields, finance is impacted. For example, financial markets
have been established in many counties, local companies have become the international companies,
well known banks have been known in many countries and so on. Financial advances have also
changed the way of international trade, making transaction in international trade is more convenient
and comfortable than in the past. Buyers and sellers can make a payment although they are not in the
same country, money is transferred cross country in a short time. So, in the international trade context,
there are four different ways to transfer money from the buyer to the seller as advance payment, letters
of credit, draft and open account, and in the different methods have their own risks. So, this essay will
evaluate the potential risks which could occur and will look at what situations is each method
commonly used.
Firstly, letter of credit or documentary of credit (L/C) is a famous payment method in international
trade because this method provide a safety to the both of importers and exporters (Paul and Aserkar
2013: 31). It is one of the payments which base on the contract documents. In

Rising Tuition Prices Essay
Rising Tuition Prices The skyrocketing price of college tuition is causing a tremendous concern over
whether higher education will be a viable financial concept to the average citizen over the next
decades. Some families have opted to explore different means of obtaining a higher education for their
children as these costs escalate. There is overwhelming evidence that colleges need to restructure the
way they are run because tuition prices are increasing at a rapid rate causing changes in the way
students fund their education and in the way the government provides educational subsidies.
Rep. Dick Zimmer predicts that at the current rate of rising college costs, by the year 2000 the average
price tag for attending a four year public ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Reiland, 59) Unfortunately this still is quite a high rate of increase compared to the inflation rate
throughout the economy.
Almost every college insists that they are doing everything possible to slow down the rate of increase.
For most colleges, the rising costs seem so unstoppable that just keeping them down slightly over the
rate of inflation is considered an achievement in itself. Only a few institutions have actually been
successful in reducing their tuition, most notably Ohio s Muskingum College. (Elfin, 90)
The cause of the large tuition prices is elusive. Colleges are unwilling to discuss where much of this
tax free revenue is spent. (Lemann, 45) Colleges usually place the blame of the increases on
congressional budget cutters, stingy state legislatures, government regulators and parents who demand
more costly student health and recreational services. Seldom spoken of are declining teaching loads,
nonproductive research, growing financial aid programs, bloated administrative hierarchies, celebrity
salaries for professorial stars, and inflated course offerings. (Elfin, 91) Administrators fail to see a
limit on available capital, and seem to believe the cost can just be continually handed down to students
without any consequences.
Part of the problem might be a surge of income

  • 4. A Theory Of Justice By Rawls In his book A Theory of Justice , Rawls was dissatisfied with the traditional philosophical arguments about what makes a social institution just and about what justifies political or social actions and policies. The utilitarian argument holds that societies should pursue the greatest good for the greatest number. This argument has a number of problems, including, especially, that it seems to be consistent with the idea of the tyranny of majorities over minorities. The intuitionist argument holds that humans intuit what is right or wrong by some innate moral sense. This is also problematic because it simply explains away justice by saying that people know it when they see it and it fails to deal with the many conflicting human intuitions. Rawls attempts to establish a reasoned account of social justice through the social contract approach. This approach holds that a society is in some sense an agreement among all those within that society. If a society were an agreement, Rawls asks, what kind of arrangement would everyone agree to? He states that the contract is a purely hypothetical one: He does not argue that people had existed outside the social state or had made agreements to establish a particular type of society. Rawls begins his work with the idea of justice as fairness. He identifies the basic structure of society as the primary subject of justice and identifies justice as the first virtue of social institutions. He considers justice a matter of the organization ... • 6. House On Mango Street Book Assignment Book Assignment For this book assignment I decided to read the book The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. Cisneros uses a series of vignettes to tell the story of Esperanza Cordero and a year of her life on Mango Street. Esperanza is a 12 year old Mexican American girl, or Chicana, living in a congested Latino neighborhood located in the more poorer area of Chicago. The story begins with Esperanza s family moving to a new house on Mango street which she describes as an upgrade from their previous house but it is still not the home her heart desires. Esperanza has big dreams of eventually leaving Mango Street and owning her own real house with a big yard and multiple washrooms, just like the ones she sees on television. Esperanza s journey into maturity and development is described through these interestingly written vignettes. She begins writing poetry as a way of expressing the events happening in her life such as developing friends, puberty and sprouting hips, and even dealing with sexual assault. The first half of the book begins with Esperanza wanting to continue to play in her little child bubble but is pushed into the world of adulthood when dealing with the deaths of her grandfather and Aunt Lupe and when she is abruptly kissed by an older man while at her first job. Esperanza also writes about her neighbors and happenings of the neighborhood to paint a picture of the different paths in life that are available to her. She switches her interest to the older women of the neighborhood who each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 7. Summary Of The Late Traveler And Chris Mccandless Home is a mindset. With definitions of home varying for so many people, there is no way to tie it to a single, concrete definition. People from both extremes, those who stay and those who wander, derive pleasure and contentment from their choices of home . Tying a definition to the word home is similar to attempting to define what makes a human being feel comfortable. The words, while simple on the surface, mean very different things to every person making them impossible to define completely. So what is a home? Home to me is a location, a sensation, and a state of mind that is combination of four different aspects: shared happiness, the present moment, passion, and the ability to adapt. The late traveler and wanderer Chris McCandless spent years traveling the country living his dream as a modern day nomad. His last known writing is this, happiness only real when shared. Despite the time spent to himself, away from everyone close to him and the experiences he made, his final thoughts were that happiness could not be possible without a loved one to share them with. Shared happiness came to me in the form of family while growing up with a career military father. Needless to say, my family experienced relocation more than most. In fifteen years we moved thirteen times, a few of those moves being out of the country. Moving can take its toll on a young man; uprooting friendships, new schools, unfamiliar places, and sometimes feeling as if there is no set ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Their purpose and importance to our lives varies depending on where you go for information, but it is clear that dreams are something that come along with being human. According to the theory of Sigmund Freud, dreams are a way for our mind to process the things we are feeling in the form of symbolism (Freud 350). While many brush off their dreams as simply a way for their brain to relieve stress and process the previous day, there is a large percentage of people who believe that their dreams are a message, or a warning, from the beyond. According to the information that I found, they call these visions private revelations. This is confirmed in a direct quote from the Global Catholic Network, which says Alleged revelations which propose to improve upon, correct or entirely supplant Public Revelation are rejected by the Church as inauthentic, regardless of the claims made for them. Such revelations include those of Mohammed in the Koran, Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon, the writings of new age mystics, psychics and the like (Donovan, Apparitions/Private Revelations). Her dedication to the health community is inarguable. As serving numerous roles as leader, her thoughts and visions touched many. One example of her mark in nursing is the Roy Adaptation Model. It is in this model that health is defined as a state of adaptation that occurs as a result of successfully adapting to stressors. When stimuli fall outside the zone, Roy points out that the individual is without effective coping skills. Therefore the individual is unable to respond positively. Coping mechanisms consist of regulator and cognator subsystems. The regulator subsystem is made up of automatic neural endocrine and chemical activity. The cognator subsystem consists of cognitive and emotive pathways. These pathways involve information processing, learning, judgment, and emotions (George, 2002). In the final component of her model Roy address the goal of nursing is to promote adaptation in each of the four modes. By doing so, promotes a person s health, quality of life, and dying and dignity. The four models according to Andrews and Roy, (1991) are physiological, self concept, role function and interdependence. Roy s model includes six steps in order to carry out the nursing process. These steps are assessment of behavior, assessment of stimuli, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, interventions, and evaluation. To assess behavior, it is stressed that behavior is observed and compared to norms and considered either adaptive or ineffective. The concentration of adenosine is highest in the brain during waking hours and it builds up the longer a person is awake. Since the ATP reserves are depleted and stored in the brain, it results in the buildup of adenosine in the brain. When a person is asleep, adenosine is metabolized by adenosine deaminase, which results in a decreased concentration in the brain in the morning which causes a person to wake up. Power Series Method For Solving Linear Differential Equations ABSTRACT In this work, we studied that Power Series Method is the standard basic method for solving linear differential equations with variable coefficients. The solutions usually take the form of power series; this explains the name Power series method. We review some special second order ordinary differential equations. Power series Method is described at ordinary points as well as at singular points (which can be removed called Frobenius Method) of differential equations. We present a few examples on this method by solving special second order ordinary differential equations. Key words ; Power series, differential equations, Frobenius Method, Lengendre polynomials 1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY The attempt to solve physical problems led gradually to Mathematical models involving an equation in which a function and its derivatives play important role. However, the theoretical development of this new branch of Mathematics Differential Equations has its origin rooted in a small number of Mathematical problems. These problems and their solutions led to an independent discipline with the solution of such equations an end in itself (Sasser, 2005). 1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM The research work seeks to find solutions of second order ordinary differential equations using the power series method. 1.3 AIM AND OBJECTIVES The aim and objectives of the study are to: Describe the power series method. Instead of painting for the appraisers of conventional art, Cubist painters assembled shapes and movement from different angles to create a completely innovative artistic perspective. Like the Cubist artist, Gertrude Stein, a modernist writer of the 20th century, rejected the expectations of a society that required writing to model the speech of the English language just as it required art to model the visions and still life images of everyday situations and experiences. Do they even need to understand sex or STDs? Well of course not. That s why schools should not even teach these students sex because it s just going to be too much for the high school students young mind, sex education will definitely motivate the students to have sex regardless of their sexuality , and it s up to their not so busy parents to explain sex and all its glory to their children who are attending high school. First off, why would you want to teach high school students about sex if you know it s going to be too much for their young, innocent minds? Let s face it, once when the teacher begins to talk about the males baby maker and the females foo foo the students are going to start laughing, or getting very uncomfortable. Very mature children, won t you say? Of course, the teachers are not going to call it baby maker or foo foo they re going to say the correct terms. Furthermore, sex education will most likely have to touch on the more sensitive topics like sexual harassment, or prostitution. Students having to hear about innocent people being raped is already crossing the line, and learning that women and maybe men are willing to have sex just to gain money. Might as well drop the class, or start skipping it. If for some reason the students are able to handle the lessons of sex, then that means they re going to be motivated to want to have sex with each other regardless their sexuality. Evidently this class is going to motivate them, the students, to have sex, and the students are not going to give a flip about the results.
