protests against the government. The Whiskey rebellion was triggered when George Washington s

In reading McCloskey s article it s obvious he is searching for definitive proof that God exists. He is
unable to find proof and therefore comes to the conclusion that God must not exist. He believes that
the existence of evil discredits arguments made in support of believing in God. There is not one single
thing in this world that we can know definitively without looking at the evidence. You have to look at

When you look at each of the arguments individually I can see how one might come to this
conclusion. The cosmological argument only proves (if accepted) that there is a necessary being;
however it does not prove that he is divine or perfect. The teleological argument by itself leaves us
wondering why we also see chaos in the world around us. Not everything is orderly and perfect. You
need to collectively look at each of the arguments prior to coming to a conclusion about the existence
of God.
McCloskey believes that because there is evil there is no God. There could be valid reasons for the
presence of evil in the world, though some may beyond our comprehension and understanding. There
needs to be some proof or evidence provided if one wants to make a claim that it s illogical for God
and evil to exist in the same world. McCloskey s article does not provide this proof. He just says that
because there is evil there is no God.
As parents we sometimes allow bad things to happen to our children to teach them a lesson. We make

history to gain freedom, it is usual to look to the founding fathers of America and their sacrifices.
However, other groups of people have strived for the same thing, one such group being the people of
the divided German states shortly after the Seven Year s War. Through several generations of

Among the multitudes was written by Wislawa Szymborska. She published her firstpoem in 1945,
which started her poetry career. She spent much of her youth advocating for communism, but later

in even the simplest things, and often have simple yet subtle theme. Among the Multitudes reflects
this,and exhibits many of the same elements and themes of her other poems such as nature. This poem
is a celebration of individuality, as she seeks awareness for the pure uniqueness and coincidental life

The author enforces Tom as a character foil to Wilson to prove that Wilson is merely a piece of Tom s
game, who willingly and blindly places his faith on untrustworthy liabilities like the blue coupe.
Critics like O Meara identify Wilson and Gatsby as separate from Tom as she describes, Wilson and

Written Analysis #3 The article I decided to read for the third analysis was Ferrari Engines, Bicycle
Brakes. This article was written by Edward Hallowell who is a psychiatrist that has attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder and dyslexia. Both of these disorders individually come with a lot of different
struggles. Throughout the article, Hallowell discussed his struggle as a student and what/ who helped
him get through school. One of the first things Hallowell mentions was his first grade teacher, Mrs.
Eldredge. She seemed to be his support system when it came to reading aloud during class. From other
research, I know that this can be very difficult for students with dyslexia since they read slower, letters
can get switched around, and whole words can look switched around. Mrs. Eldredge stood by his side
while he read, so that no one would laugh at his stuttering or stammering (Hallowell, 2012). I believe
this was a nice move by her because she recognized his struggles, and did everything she could to
make him feel comfortable reading aloud in class. He ends up crediting many of his gifted teachers for
him becoming a good student and getting through college to get his degree as a psychiatrist
