Operating Model Design in a Digital WorldRobert Cade
Operating Models have defined the way that we work and operate for centuries. A good set of architectural blueprints are essential to successfully build a new office. The same is true if you want to build a successful business; you need a good set of blueprints on which to lay the foundations and undertake the detailed design and implementation. In other words you need an Operating Model.
Like modern office designs, businesses are responding to digital stimuli and the changing needs of their customers. Digital is taking the world by storm, transforming everything in its path. Those who transform reap the benefits; those that don’t get left behind. So, just as the blueprints for offices have changed in the digital age, the blueprints for businesses – their Operating Models – also need to evolve.

Business Process
A Business Process consists of a set of activities that are performed in coordination in an organisational and technical environment.
Business process is a collection of inter-related events, activities and decision points that involve a number of actors and objects, and that collectively lead to an outcome that is of value to at least one customer.
A business process model consists of a set of activity models and execution constraints between them. Typical examples:
Quote to Order
Order to Cash
Procure to Pay
Issue to
Solution
Application to Approval
Business Process Model
Observe to Analyse
Analyse to Interpret
Interpret to Decision-Making
Strategy to Operations
Performance to Evaluation
Pillars of BPM
People (Process Owner)
Process (Operations Flow)
Technology (Better process enabler)
BPM Life Cycle
The business process lifecycle consists of phases that are related to each other which are organised in a cyclical structure, showing their logical dependencies.
Many design and development activities are conducted during each of these phases, and incremental and evolutionary approaches involving con-current activities in multiple phases are not uncommon. (Segatto 2013)

Process Automation for Business SurvivalSandy Kemsley
My keynote presented at ProcessMaker's ProcessCon 2021. One year into the pandemic, business processes and supply chains have been severely disrupted. A Perfect Combination: Case Management and Low CodeSandy Kemsley
A paper that I wrote on case management and low code. Low code application development platforms are definitely the way to go for building long-tail case management, but you can also flip this around: the case management paradigm is a perfect match when you're building low-code applications.
The paper was sponsored by TIBCO but doesn't discuss their products.
Review of the St. Andrew's community market in 2009Sandy Kemsley
For those of you who come to Slideshare for my business presentations, this isn't one of them! Instead, it's a presentation about a community market that I was involved in a few years ago.
A summary of a community farmers' market that we helped to organize and run during the summer of 2009. Unfortunately, business was not good enough that year to inspire the farmers to return, so we only had one year of it, but it's still a fond memory for the neighbourhood. For some reason, this presentation was removed from when it was originally posted in 2009, so reposting now in 2018.
A joint webinar presentation with James Taylor on using BPM and DM as a back-end for mobile applications to make them smarter and more integrated with core business processes.
A bit of a technical look at how to design process-based applications (a.k.a. Smart Process Applications): why they are different from traditional structured BPM, and all of the components that you need to consider. Delivered at DST's ADVANCE Forum in London, June 2014.
Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
