I am a researcher and educator in the area of Business Process Management (BPM). In a nutshell, BPM considers organisational performance as a function of process performance, and proposes to improve an organisation by acting on its business processes. BPM is thus all about managing business processes, from understanding them all the way to analysing, improving and continuously monitoring their performance. If you wish, it's a way of thinking business, it's "process thinking" indeed. I work in an organisational unit within my university - the BPM Discipline - that is dedicated to teaching and researching BPM.
