In this paper, we are going to discuss the streetlight system
and the accident avoidance system which may help society to
reduce the number of accidents which is usually happening in
u-turns and also with the help of IOT based smart street
lights, we can reduce the energy consumption. Streetlights
play an important role in cities which means to avoid
accidents, secure roads and provide better vision since
evening to morning. As the world is ready to accept the
technology, we need to upgrade that street light system which
will reduce the energy consumptions and save energy. Also
one of the major problems happens in cities is accidents, so
we are applying IR mechanism to avoid the accidents that
usually happens in u-turns. As our goal is to save energy, so
we are using LEDs which is directional light source it can
emit light in a specific direction thereby optimizing the
efficiency of streetlights. The IR sensors detect the objects and
set the intensity of LEDs to high for some time. The work has
achieved better performance and reduces energy consumption
as compared to the current system.

This paper proposes how street light can be controlled in the presence or absence
of vehicle to reduce the wastage of energy. The proposed work is accomplished by
using Arduino UNO and sensors that will control the electricity based on night and
object's detection. Meanwhile, a counter is set that will count the number of objects
passed through the road. The beauty of the proposed work is that the wastage of
unused electricity can be reduced. The aim of this project is to design a street light
control system using Arduino UNO, which automatically turns on or off the street
lights by detecting the movement of vehicles. The working of the project is explained
here. When there is not any vehicle in front of the IR sensor module, the receiver can’t
get any infrared signal So the circuit remain in open loop condition and the lights are
in off condition. When there is any vehicle in front of the IR sensor module, the
receiver get the infrared signal. So the circuit is in close loop condition and the lights
are in on condition with respect to the IR module. If the car blocks the first IR sensor,
the first three LEDs are turned ON by the microcontroller. As the car moves forward
and blocks the second IR sensor, the corresponding next three LEDs will be turned
ON and the first LED of the previous set is turned OFF. The process continues this
way for all the IR Sensors and LEDs.

Manual application of controlling bulbs is eliminated by using this system. This automated system is not only applicable to offices but also applicable in, rooms, Hostels, Street lights, Garden lights, Hotels etc. Automatic light control requires less labor to operate since it works automatically therefore the running and opportunity cost is encouraging.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.

2. Introduction
The idea of designing a new system for the road light that do
not consume huge amount of electricity and illuminate large
areas with the highest intensity of light is concerning each
engineer working in this field. Providing road lighting is one
of the most important and expensive responsibilities. Lightingof the most important and expensive responsibilities. Lighting
can account for 10–38% of the total energy bill in typical
worldwide.
Manual control is prone to errors and leads to energy wastages
and manually dimming during mid night is impracticable.
Also, dynamically tracking the light level is manually
impracticable. The current trend is the introduction of
automation and remote management solutions to control
lighting .
6. Working
The IR sensor will be install on divider .
IR sensor has IR transmitter and receiver.
When the vehicle passes it will receive the signal and op-
amp LM358 turns on LED.amp LM358 turns on LED.
And when there is no vehicle it will turns off led.
8. IR Sensor
An infrared sensor is an electronic device that
emits in order to sense some aspects of the
surroundings. An IR sensor can measure the heat
of an object as well as detects the motion. These
types of sensors measures only infrared
radiation, rather than emitting it that is called as a
passive IR sensor. Usually in the infrared
radiation, rather than emitting it that is called as a
passive IR sensor. Usually in the infrared
spectrum, all the objects radiate some form of
thermal radiations.
These types of radiations are invisible to our
eyes, that can be detected by an infrared sensor.
The emitter is simply an IR LED (Light Emitting
Diode) and the detector is simply an IR
photodiode which is sensitive to IR light of the
same wavelength as that emitted by the IR LED.
When IR light falls on the photodiode, the
resistances and these output voltages, change in
proportion to the magnitude of the IR light
received.
11. Linear power supply
A linear regulated power supply regulates the output
voltage by dropping excess voltage in a series dissipative
component. They use a moderately complex regulator

12. Principles of Operation
We have already discussed how a light sensor works. IR
Sensors work by using a specific light sensor to detect a
select light wavelength in the Infra-Red (IR) spectrum. By
using an LED which produces light at the sameusing an LED which produces light at the same
wavelength as what the sensor is looking for, you can look
at the intensity of the received light. When an object is
close to the sensor, the light from the LED bounces off the
object and into the light sensor. This results in a large
jump in the intensity, which we already know can be
detected using a threshold.
17. Working of power supply
This design is based around 4 main parts. A transformer, bridge
rectifier, a smoothing capacitor and the LM7805 chip which
contains a 'linear voltage regulator'. Transformer is used to
convert 220 VAC to 18 VAC. Bridge rectifier is used to convertconvert 220 VAC to 18 VAC. Bridge rectifier is used to convert
AC to ripple DC.
Capacitor is used to filter ripples from dc. 7805 voltage
regulator is used to regulate voltage to 5 VDC. LED is used for
indication power supply is working or not.
18. Electrical Transformer
Transformers are ubiquitous devices. They are used to either
step-up the A.C voltage or to step-down it. But, why should
we do this voltage transformation? It is a science fact that a
stepped-up voltage is associated with a reduced current.
A reduced current leads to low eddy current energy loss. In A reduced current leads to low eddy current energy loss. In
this way, transformers help achieve better transmission
efficiency while transferring the power over longer distances.

20. Applications and advantages
It can use in any vehicle.
It reduce the road accidents.
It is reliable , safe and easy to develop.
If the lighting system implements all LED lights, the
cost of the maintenance can be reduced as the life
span and durability of LEDs is higher than Neon
based lights which are normally used as street lights.
As the lights are automatically turned ON or OFF,
huge amount of energy can be saved.
21. DISADVANTAGE
The system will not update due to network problem.
The device is not water resistant keep avoid from
moisture.
