Amoeba are single-celled organisms that move via pseudopods and reproduce through binary fission. They live in water and consume bacteria, algae, and other protozoa using their pseudopods. When an amoeba grows large enough, its nucleus divides and the cell splits into two identical daughter cells, each with their own nucleus. This process of binary fission allows for asexual reproduction to continue the amoeba's lifecycle of eating, growing, and splitting.
