The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is a public sector enterprise responsible for developing, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. Its board of directors includes the chairman, director general of civil aviation, joint secretaries from the ministry of civil aviation, and members from fields like planning, finance, human resources, and air navigation services. AAI owns 26% of shares in the public-private partnership for Delhi International Airport while the remaining 74% are held by several private companies from India and abroad.
