This document summarizes a training seminar on the Airport Authority of India that was held at Jaipur Airport. It discusses the following key points:
- The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing India's civil aviation infrastructure including 126 airports.
- AAI's main functions include air traffic control, maintenance of passenger and cargo terminals, and providing Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) systems.
- CNS systems discussed include navigation aids like ILS, DME, DVOR; communication systems; and surveillance equipment like radar and security screening tools.
- The seminar provided valuable hands-on learning about AAI's
Airports Authority Of India:The Airports Authority of India (AAI) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. It provides Air Traffic Management (ATM) services over Indian airspace and adjoining oceanic areas.
It manages a total of 125 airports, including 11 International Airports, 8 Custom Airports, 81 Domestic Airports and 25 Civil enclave at Military Airfields.
introduction:The Airports Authority of India provides air traffic services as per AAI Act 1995. These services are - air traffic control service, flight information service, and alerting service. In order to achieve the objectives of air traffic services there is a need to specify procedures necessary for the safety of air navigation for uniform application throughout India.
Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is the support equipment found at an airport, usually on the apron, the servicing area by the terminal. This equipment is used to service the aircraft between flights.

Using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) for pavements is crucial to achieving sustainability. Implementing RCA for new pavement can minimize carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, and lower life cycle costs. Compared to natural aggregate (NA), RCA pavement has fewer comprehensive studies and sustainability assessments.
Student information management system project report ii.pdfKamal Acharya
Our project explains about the student management. This project mainly explains the various actions related to student details. This project shows some ease in adding, editing and deleting the student details. It also provides a less time consuming process for viewing, adding, editing and deleting the marks of the students.

HEAP SORT ILLUSTRATED WITH HEAPIFY, BUILD HEAP FOR DYNAMIC ARRAYS.
Heap sort is a comparison-based sorting technique based on Binary Heap data structure. It is similar to the selection sort where we first find the minimum element and place the minimum element at the beginning. Repeat the same process for the remaining elements.
CW RADAR, FMCW RADAR, FMCW ALTIMETER, AND THEIR PARAMETERSveerababupersonal22
It consists of cw radar and fmcw radar ,range measurement,if amplifier and fmcw altimeterThe CW radar operates using continuous wave transmission, while the FMCW radar employs frequency-modulated continuous wave technology. Range measurement is a crucial aspect of radar systems, providing information about the distance to a target. The IF amplifier plays a key role in signal processing, amplifying intermediate frequency signals for further analysis. The FMCW altimeter utilizes frequency-modulated continuous wave technology to accurately measure altitude above a reference point.

3. Introduction
• AAI IS AN ORGANISATION WORKING UNDER THE
MINISTERY OF CIVIL AVIATIONS.
• Formed on 1st April 1995 under the Act of
Parliament.
• Creates, upgrade, maintain & manages civil aviation
infrastructure.
• It manages a total of 126 Airports.
4. Main Functions Of AAI
CNS
TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR AIRPORT
MAINTAINENCE OF PASSENGER TERMINALS
CARGO TERMINAL AT INTERNATIONAL AND
DOMESTIC
6. COMMUNICATION
GROUND TO AIR GROUND TO GROUND
Communication refers to sending, receiving and
processing of information by electronic means.
COMMUNICATION
7. COMMUNICATION
Ground to Ground: Communication among Stations
on Ground.
GroundTo Air: Between Pilot and the AirTraffic
Controller.
Air to Air : Between the Pilots of two aircrafts in the
air.
8. COMMUNICATION
HF or VHF is used for communication between
controller and pilot.
Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network
(AFTN) is used for communication among Ground
Stations
AFTN uses basic Copper Wire as communication
media.
9. Navigation
Navigation is the 'ART' of determining the position of
an aircraft over earth's surface and guiding its
progress from one place to another.
To accomplish this ART, some sort of ‘AIDS' are
required by the PILOTS.
10. Nav-Aids
ILS: Instrument Landing System
DME: Distance Measuring Equipment
DVOR: Doppler VHF OMNI RANGE
11. INSTRUMENT LANDING
SYSTEM
The Instrument Landing System (ILS) provides a
means for safe landing of aircraft at airports under
conditions of low ceilings and limited visibility.
The use of the system materially reduces
interruptions of service at airports resulting from
bad weather by allowing operations to continue at
lower weather minimums.
The ILS also increases the traffic handling capacity
of the airport under all weather conditions.
12. Instrument Landing System
Guides the aircraft as to where to land on the
runway
System comprises of two parts:
Localizer Glide Path
13. Localizer
Used to find Centre Line of
runway.
Uses LPDA
Used Freq. Range is 108-112
MHz.
Located at around 1200-1500
feet away from the end of Runway.
Range : 10-20 NM
14. Glide Path
It gives the Glide angle i.e. Angle
Of Descent.
Range:- 10 NM(-8 to +8 degrees)
Safe glide angle:- 2-4 degrees

19. DME : Distance Measuring Equipment
Aircraft use DME to determine their distance from a
land-based transponder
20. DME is used in navigational aid which provide a pilot
with visual info regarding his position(distance)
related to ground base DME station.
The frequency range
used for DME is between 960 MHz to
1215 MHz .This frequency is used
Because it has better frequency stability comparative to
next higher frequencies in microwave band. It has less
reflection and attenuation.
DME : Distance Measuring Equipment
21. DVOR : Doppler VHF Omni Range
VHF Omni range measures the angular orientation
of the aircraft with respect to the Magnetic North.
22. V.H.F-OMNI RANGE
Antenna System comprising
a ring of antennas.
Alford loop Antenna.
Range : 200 NM.
23. SURVEILLANCE
The act of watching or
monitoring the behavior
activities, or other
changing information.
Surveillance may be
applied to observation
from a distance by
means of electronic
equipment.
26. RADAR
Radars are employed throughout the
world for the purpose of safely
controlling air traffic en-route and in
the vicinity of airports.
Aircraft as well as vehicular traffic at
large airports are monitored by
means of high-resolution radar.
Radar has also been used to guide
aircraft to a safe landing in bad
weather.
27. SECURITY EQUIPMENT
HAND HELD METAL DETECTOR.
DOOR FRAME METAL DETECTOR.
X-RAY BAGGAGE INSPECTION SYSTEM.
EXPLOSIVE TRACE DETECTOR.
29. EXPLOSIVE TRACE DETECTOR
Narcotic/Explosive Detector is used to detect the
presence of any narcotics or explosive materials.
30. Conclusion
Excellent opportunity to get to the Ground Level.
It was an enriching experience.
Co-operative and encouraging staff makes it a true
learning experience.
