Hardware and logic implementation of multiple alarm system for gsm bts roomsZac Darcy
Cellular communication becomes the major mode of communication in present century. With the development of this phase of communication the globalization process is also in its peak of speed. The development of cellular communication is largely depending on the improvement and stability of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) room. So for the purpose of the development of cellular communication a large numbered BTS rooms are installed throughout the world. To ensure proper support from BTS rooms there must be a security system to avoid any unnecessary vulnerability. Therefore multiple alarm system is designed to secure the BTS rooms from any undesired circumstances. This system is designed with a PIC Microcontroller as a main controller and a several sensors are interfaced with it to provide high temperature alarm, smoke alarm, door alarm and water alarm. All these alarms are interfaced with the alarm box in the BTS room which provides the current status directly to Network Management Centre (NMC) of a Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication network.
A presentation by Wes Hardaker from PARSONS given on 28 October 2014 at ION Santiago in Chile.
If you connect to a “secure” server using TLS/SSL (such as a web server, email server or xmpp server), how do you know you are using the correct certificate? With DNSSEC now being deployed, a new protocol has emerged called “DANE” (“DNS-Based Authentication of Named Entities“), which allows you to securely specify exactly which TLS/SSL certificate an application should use to connect to your site. DANE has great potential to make the Internet much more secure by marrying the strong integrity protection of DNSSEC with the confidentiality of SSL/TLS certificates. In this session, Wes will explain how DANE works and how you can use it to secure your websites, email, XMPP, VoIP, and other web services.

More and more IoT vulnerabilities are found and showcased at security events. From connected thermostats to power plants!
Insecurity became the favorite subject for creating catchy IoT headlines: "Connected killer toaster", "Fridges changed into spamming machines","Privacy concerns around connected home".
We will explore the five challenges one has to face when building a secure IoT solution:
- hardware security: how to avoid rogue firmwares and keep your security keys safe?
- upgrade strategy: you can't secure what you can't update!
- secure transport: no security without secure transports.
- security credentials distribution: how to distribute security keys to a fleet with millions of devices?
- cloud vulnerability mitigation, how to keep your fleet of devices safe from the next Heartbleed?
Current enterprise infrastructure provides solutions for handling application security but are they really matching the IoT challenge? Could running a PKI client on a low power wireless sensor node be an option?
Despite those difficulties, we will show how a modern IoT device management standard like Lightweight M2M with DTLS is the way for building a secur-first IoT solutions. It provides a solution for upgrading your device, distributing your security keys and comes with a full range of cryptography cipher suites, from PSK algorithm for very constrained devices to high level of security using X.509 certificates.
Furthermore for adding security to your solution we will present you ready to use opensource libraries for implementing secure IoT servers and devices. The way for quickly releasing your next catchy connected product.!
Ultimately we will showcase Wakaama and Leshan, the Eclipse IoT Lightweight M2M implementation maybe your next best friend in the troubled water of Internet-Of-Things security!

Aim of project is to make use of mobile phone to control robot movement
The movement is controlled by pressing relevant keys on a mobile phone that makes a call to another mobile phone attached to the robot.
In this project we design low cost high performance programmable home security system. This system uses a few LDR's as input sensors. When above sensor(s) get triggered system may dial the user specified phone number (using build-in DTMF generator) and activate the high power audio alarm and lights. All the parameters of DTMF generator, audio alarm and light interface are programmed through the RS232 serial interface.
Current firmware of this system presents interactive control system through the RS232 interface. This control system consist with the menu driven configuration options, self tests, system report generators, etc.
This system also contain 5W (with 4Ω speaker) audio alarm with three selectable tone configurations, which include Police siren, Fire engine siren and Ambulance siren.
Abstract: Traditionally electrical appliances in a home are controlled via switches that regulate the electricity to these devices. As the world gets more and more technologically advanced, we find new technology coming in deeper and deeper into our personal lives even at home. Home automation is becoming more and more popular around the world and is becoming a common practice. The process of home automation works by making everything in the house automatically controlled using technology to control and do the jobs that we would normally do manually. Home automation takes care of a lot of different activities in the house. this project we propose a unique System for Home automation utilizing Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) that is paired with a wireless module to provide seamless wireless control over many devices in a house. This user console has many keys, each corresponding to the device that needs to be activated. The encoder encodes the user choice and sends via a FM transmitter. The FM receiver receives the modulated signal and demodulates it and the user choice is determined by the DTMF decoder. Based upon this the required appliance is triggered. Dtmf access the control unit, the user should send an authentication code (DTMF) along with their quire/desired function/action to his/her home control system via Global System for Mobile communication (GSM). Upon being properly authenticated, the cell phone-based interface at home (control unit) would relay the commands to a microcontroller that would perform the required function/action, and return a function completion code that would be sent to the source of the original command (user’s cell phone).
This project is called ‘Voice Controlled Home Automation project using Arduino’
which enables a user to control the home appliances through voice commands sent to
an Android app i.e AMR voice app.
The aim of the proposed system is to develop a cost effectivesolution that will provide controlling of home appliancesremotely and enable home security against intrusion in theabsence of homeowner. The system provides availability due to development of a low cost system. The home appliances control system with an affordable cost was thought to be built that should be mobile providing remote access to the appliances and allowing home security. Though devices connected as home and office appliances consume electrical power. These devices should be controlled as well as turn on/off if required. Most ofthe times it was done manually. Now it is a necessity to control devices more effectively and efficiently at anytime from anywhere.

A review on techniques and modelling methodologies used for checking electrom...nooriasukmaningtyas
The proper function of the integrated circuit (IC) in an inhibiting electromagnetic environment has always been a serious concern throughout the decades of revolution in the world of electronics, from disjunct devices to today’s integrated circuit technology, where billions of transistors are combined on a single chip. The automotive industry and smart vehicles in particular, are confronting design issues such as being prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electronic control devices calculate incorrect outputs because of EMI and sensors give misleading values which can prove fatal in case of automotives. In this paper, the authors have non exhaustively tried to review research work concerned with the investigation of EMI in ICs and prediction of this EMI using various modelling methodologies and measurement setups.
