This document summarizes a major project to control home appliances using infrared (IR) modules. The project aims to reduce the need for manual switching of devices like motors, fans, and bulbs. It employs a transmitter section that can be carried by a user to send IR signals within range to a receiver section. The receiver section is connected to devices and uses a decoder chip to receive encoded signals from the transmitter, which are then used to operate relays and control the connected appliances remotely. The system allows single-person control of devices from a distance, is low cost, small in size, and has applications for industrial, educational, personal, and assistive use.
