This document describes three methods for measuring horizontal angles using a theodolite: 1. The general method involves setting up the theodolite at station Q, centering and leveling it, then sighting points P and R to measure angle PQR. 2. The repetition method measures the angle multiple times and averages the readings for greater accuracy. It involves repeating the sighting and measurement of PQR two or more times. 3. The reiteration method remeasures PQR using both faces of the theodolite and averages the readings from both faces.
