Working Title:
Fashion Brand
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose:
The purpose of my product would be to assist in self-actualization and self esteem.
This would be achieved by people wearing the clothing I create to feel unique and have a sense of
individuality,
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre:
The products that I am creating is a selection of four different products which are a clothing line of
casual/street-wear and the advertising to go along with it including posters, a catalogue, app logo
and website design all of a matching theme, colour scheme and design to the actual clothing
pieces.
What sort of product is it
Content
My product will be a line of street-wear including pieces of clothing with designs inspired by and
similar to pieces from Supreme, All Saints, Devote and Fear Of God, which in combination makes
a line of clothing which I think would be unique and not too closely similar to any other brand.
It will be largely logo based with a variation of patterns and designs over the actual clothing pieces
to add interest to the clothes and to make them more complex and interesting.
For the advertising of these products I will create a catalogue of the pieces to display the mall
clearly with prices, descriptions, colours and pictures so that people could look through the entire
range and select designs and colours that they like the most. I will also create a poster that might
attract people to look at the catalogue or just look further into the clothing brand. I will also create a
website and app logo as a website to showcase a brand is a very important factor to its success in
my opinion as people might want to look online at the products rather than getting a physical
catalogue.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a
story? If so, discuss it here
Research & Planning
I will use the same colour schemes and similar fonts for the logo that I looked at in any of the
existing products that I found in my research such as the spaced lettering seen in All Saints and
Fear Of God. I will also use a similar style of contrasting background colours to the clothing that is
being shown in both the catalogue and website design that I will create.
Where will you use elementsof your research and planning to influence and inform your
final idea (be specific to certain parts)
Audience:
My brand would have no bias based on gender as there will be a range of products available for
people of both genders including some items that will be unisex. The social status of my products
will be something that affects how available it is to people that couldn’t afford the prices so I think
my brand would be more aimed towards people who would be classed as the upper-middle class.
The age of my clothing brand would probably be more aimed towards teenagers and younger
adults being people between 15-25 but could be worn by people outside o that age bracket as
there will be no inappropriate content that would inhibit people of other age ranges from wearing
them.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
In my research, I didn’t come across anything that I thin would be seen as directly offensive
towards anyone, however some of the prints such as the camo could be seen as offensive maybe
towards pacifists, Quakers and some logos with animal prints for example could be seen as
offensive by animal activists or vegans and such.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
No I wouldn’t restrict any age group from accessing them as I think it wouldn’t be seen as too
offensive or inappropriate for people of any age group, the only thing that I think could possibly
exclude a younger audience would be the use of an animal skull design for the logo.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
The only social group that I think it could possibly offend majorly would be vegans due to the use
of an animal skull in the logo, and maybe also pacifists or people or groups of people that don’t
believe in violence as I used a camo print in quite a few of my designs in my experiments which
could be seen as offensive to some of these groups of people.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
The products I make will have no offensive language or imagery on them, as well as the
advertising that I use for them, so I don’t think there would be anything that I would make that
would be seen as majorly offensive towards people of any social class, age, gender or ethnicity.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
No people, names, logos or designs will be copied from anything else, I will create all of the things
that I use in my products myself so that I don’t infringe on any copyrighted content, and no
celebrity or other people will be used in the advertising for my products either.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
I don’t think that my product will be too outstandingly similar to any other brands products as to be
able to get sued for copyright infringement, however the use of animal skulls or silhouettes for the
logo and some of the styles of patterns that I want to create for my final products have been done
before by other brands such as All Saints and Supreme, but not quite in the same way that I have
used them.
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for
copyright infringement?
