3. Research
• The strengths of my research was seeing the other companies and how
they have become so successful with their clothing line and mirror the
qualities they have. This made me realise that the designs are simple but
effective. Not everything has to be flashy colours. This made my product a
lot easier to make and quicker to think of designs. No colouring process
makes the product a lot easier to do. With my research I should have
looked at more colour companies to see if I was to do colourful how many
colours is too much. And overall what is the best way to make the
clothing. This wouldn’t have had a massive impact on my work but would
have given me ideas a wider area of creativity.
4. Planning
• My planning was very successful. As I didn’t have to think of crazy colours
and wanted I simple design the process didn’t take long. After thinking of
the colours being minimal the rest of the planning was easy. My planning
helped my product to make sure it wasn’t too much whilst also being too
less. Having that inbetween is what I wanted. The mix between it’s a cool
design and not a boring logo put in different places. The weaknesses of my
planning was I didn’t go outside the box of what I wanted to do. So I never
saw what possibilities I could have done with my product. This would have
had a better outcome to my work as it would have showed what too far
actually looks like and if it overall could be better and more my style.
5. Time Management
• My time management in this product could have been way better. A lot of
the times I just didn’t do the work because I wasn’t interested in doing it.
A lot of last second working on the product once I did all the artwork to it.
Could have used my time more efficiently and done way more than I
actually did. More designs could have been made. More colours and styles
could have been made as well. Overall my time management was poor
during this project and it could have definitely been improved.
6. Technical Qualities
On the left is my designs and one the right is valkyraes merch line. The obvious
differences go towards the colours. Mine being brown and white whilst valkyraes
is black and white. My chosen clothing is a tshirt whereas valkyraes is a hoodie.
Moving onto the designs mine clothing doesn’t show any sleeve design whereas
valkyraes had valkyrae written down the sleeve in white writing. The logo on the
chest area of the hoodie is more of a simple design within both clothing lines.
Both clothes also only use two colours. One being black and white and the other
being brown and white.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I really like the outcome with my work.
It’s the idea I had in my head and it was
executed the way I visioned. I like how the
colours came out the way I wanted it too.
Having it be a very simple design yet
effective is exactly what I wanted to
achieve. I would improve this piece next
time by going more abstract. Going the
simple but effective route is good but a
couple of ideas could have added some
colour and variety. More variety overall
would have made this product better but
I like the outcome and it’s the way I want
it.
8. Audience Appeal
According to the questionnaires to get an overall idea of what the audience would
like in a clothing line I have appealed to my audience really well. Looking at the
graphs one question was how many colours should be used in the clothing. The
majority answer was 2-3. whereas in my design I stuck to that and all the clothing
was 2 colours. The audiences favourite piece of clothing was the hoodie. Therefore
in my clothing line all designs will be on hoodies. The audience I chose was very
indecisive within the price range so I decided to make my clothing a mid ground
between 10-30. so overall my clothing brand would appeal to most of the audience
and it fills most of the requirements from the questionnaire
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the designs he has gone for. Both have a connection
to each other so it doesn’t make the product so random.
One being a character and then that character in a
superhero suit will give the clothing line its own unique
idea and sticking to one idea keeps it that way
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
More designs could have been made towards this
product. Very little variety between all these designs and I
wish there was more
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The idea to go for very minimal colour is what I like about the
product. Make the product now overdone was a good idea
overall. This makes it available to more styles of people as not
many enjoy flashy colours but more simple designs
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
– I understand the product is called whited therefore all the
clothing is white, however it lacks variety within what you can
purchase. Maybe there could have been some limited addition
pieces that allowed for different colours
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how the designs are all hand drawn. This shows the
dedication of the designer and it isn’t a half done project
that has taken 20 minutes to put together.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
Lacks variety, not enough colours to catch my eye
personally. White and brown isn’t a colour scheme I
would wear so it doesn’t cater towards me buying any of
the products
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree with the lack of variety. Im glad one shows the
reasoning why there isn’t a lot of colours but they
gave a good idea of have limited edition clothing that I
could go out of the box with.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– Fortunately the peer feedback was constructive and I
have nothing to criticise or disagree with, the
feedback had excellent point and in the future gives a
lot more options to think about
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• A massive change I would make was my variety.
Seeing how all the feedbacks had to say
something about a lack of variety the changes I
would make is added more variety. Making
limited edition clothing so I could go a bit wild
with my designs and it doesn’t have to match
with the brand as its limited editon. I would
change this so it can appeal to more audiences
and overall get more eyes on the clothing brand.
