Working Title:
Rouge (Red) because it’s going to be bright my magazine and I feel that it being in French, makes
it look more professional then it just saying red.
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
My audience is going to be mainly teenagers aged 15-24 this is because I feel that the type of
magazine I’m wanting to create is going to be bold and bright with loads of different colours with
neon lights in it and I feel that anyone older might not like the look as I feel when you get older you
go for more professional look like neutral colours and less in your face. The gender for my product
is going to be hopefully be both, however my main target might be girls as my model is going to be
a girl but I can try and get males to model for me to make it for both genders. I do feel that both
genders may still like it as it’s not going to be all pinks and purples there’s going to be multiple
colours so it won’t be targeted to just females. For social status, it will be grade A, B, C1, C2, D
and E this is because anyone can get my product it’s not targeted at one grade as anyone who is
interested can have it. For the psychographic it will be all them which is; Belonger, Achiever,
Emulator, socially conscious type A, socially conscious type B, Balanced/Totally integrated and
Needs driven. This project would appeal to this person because it’s different and unique and
everyone likes something new then copying the crowd I also I also think because its targeted to
everyone it will make everyone happy as no one will be left out so people will buy it more as its for
everyone.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
With the video game I’ve never been a fan of making advergame as I feel that they’re not fun to
make personally. However I think it’s good to experience that side of media as I would off never
of thought make an advergame, but personally I don’t really like it and wouldn’t want to do it
again. With the Photoshop work I really like as you learn new things about the tools etc. which I
love. For example when you’re wanting to make maybe a magazine and you search magazines on
the internet and see something you like you can then go onto Photoshop and experiment to see if
you can create something similar. So you learn new things every time you go on it to make your
work better. I would use all these skills by doing it a couple of times and watch more videos for
example on YouTube to learn new skills and put them in my products to make them look better.
Review your progress throughout the year- what video game and Photoshop skills and knowledge
have you acquired? How will you use those skills?
What was your advergame and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my project is that I’m going to make a fashion magazine made for teenagers aged
15-24. I’m wanting it to have vibrant, neon colours to make it stand out the most with a big title at
the top with some letters behind the model that will be in the centre of the page to make everyone
know that it’s my magazine is about fashion. The research I will conduct is mainly from google for
the way the layout looks like to make mine have a similar look to it which will make my product
look like the magazine everyone sees in the shops. Also, the website issuu is really good as you
get to see the entire magazine, the front cover and the double page spread which helps when it
comes to doing your own. I also think looking at magazine in person will help as you get to have a
closer look at them, which will help you with your project as you might see something you might
not have seen in the image on the internet.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/

Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate my work by talking about the steps I did and how they got me to where I am in
the work for example the planning I’ll go in depth with that part as that’s where your ideas are
important as that’s the main starter to the product I’m wanting to create. By me doing all this it
will help me develop my work by practicing as I continue studying media as I’m using the same
PowerPoint and editing programs.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation (Production
Reflections) and your final self-reflection (Evaluation), analysing your work and its outcomes.
How will this process help developing your working practices as you continue with your
study/media career?
