The document outlines Benjamin Fahey's initial plans which include creating a clothing brand. The brand would have simple t-shirt, hoodie, and jumper designs that are lightweight for different weather. Alternatively, the brand could focus on sportswear with shorter, lightweight clothing inspired by sports uniforms. Fahey would create posters, a catalogue, and use Redbubble to advertise and sell the clothing designs. The target audience would be teenagers and young adults. Fahey analyzes sample mood boards and font styles to influence the brand's designs. An informal proposal provides more details on the clothing line, advertising methods, production needs, and target audience. Game and band advertisements were discounted idea due to difficulties with required skills.
10 Pitfalls To Avoid When Designing A LogoDesignMantic
Logo Design is an art. It involves understanding the target audience (business) and translating business vision into an effective corporate identity. However, the path to logo design is littered with traps invisible. The designer should avoid some common pitfalls that might limit the longevity and legibility of a design.

3. Mind Map
Clothing Brand Advertisement
I cold make a fashion brand to appeal
to teenagers and young adults that is
similar to sportswear so could be used
in both sports and daily wear to widen
the target audience farther. This would
have fairly simple T-Shirt, Hoodie and
Jumper designs that will be lightweight
and thicker so they’ll have some for
warmer and colder weather, this
would also hit a large audience but
risks the chance that people might find
the designs unsuitable for both sports
and casual wear.
Alternatively I could make an entirely
sports related brand which would cut
the risk of having clothing that people
wouldn't find suitable for either daily or
sports wear as it will be created for a
more niche market, this would consist
more of shorter lightweight clothing
that you would want to wear for doing
sorts with simple designs that could
take inspiration from sports teams
uniforms or brands but not too heavily
that it would be plagiarism.
5. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• A lot of the images that I looked at contained the same colour
scheme of black and white for their logos and designs, as well
as quite separated letters used in their logos, as well as quite
simple fonts so they’re all easy to understand as son as you
look at them.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• I will use a similar style of font with the very separated letters
for any written parts of my production as well as the common
colour scheme used of the black and white for the logo and
designs.
6. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept I’m going to create a clothing line with which I will advertise through posters that I
will create, which hopefully would attract people to look at the products in the
catalogue that I will create which would hopefully attract people to look at the
products that I create on RedBubble.
Type of
products you
would make
I would make designs for a selection of clothing pieces using RedBubble and then I
would create posters to advertise them. I would then create a catalogue or magazine
style piece that would contain all of the products that I created on RedBubble so that
people would be able to further look into the products available.
What you will
need to make
them
To look for inspiration for my designs for the brand and then use them as inspiration
to draw designs for the clothing line, as well as to create the catalogue and posters
which would require Photoshop, and finally the actual l pieces of clothing which will
need to be crated through RedBubble.
Audience My clothing line would be aimed more towards teenagers and young adults as the
designs I think would most appeal to people within that age range. It would probably
be aimed at people more middle class as the prices on RedBubble are not too cheap.
It would be aimed mainly at people that lie in the UK, America or any other English
speaking countries, and would be aimed at the emulator psychographic.
7. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Game Advertisement • I think that making games in Photoshop
is not something that I would excel at so I
think it would be a bad choice for my
project however I think I can be quite
good at creating posters and have an
interest in clothing brands that I don’t
have equally in video games.
Band Advertisement • For this I would probably have to create
an audio piece for my FMP which I would
rather not as I don’t really enjoy the
Audio production as much as the idea of
creating a clothing brand to create and
advertise for.
