The document summarizes Benjamin Partner's FMP evaluation. It covers the strengths and weaknesses in their research, planning, time management, technical qualities, aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback. The evaluation showed strengths in researching other magazines, developing three project ideas, managing time well to complete tasks, and appealing to their target audience. Weaknesses included not annotating research materials fully, needing more details in their mood board, and fonts not matching the intended color scheme based on peer feedback.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

3. Research
• Strengths: I researched other magazines that were similar to mine and
spoke how about how I would take ideas from these magazines and make
my product similar to theses magazines.
• I explained why I researched these things and what I was going to do with
my ideas and how.
• Weaknesses: I could of spent more time writing about the magazines. I
think I could of annotated the magazines better and chose some a bit
more closer to mine.
4. Planning
• Strengths: I got 3 ideas and picked between them to see which one I liked
best. I described each idea I had and said what I would do if I choses the
idea and which subject I picked (music, film and gaming).
• Once I chose my idea I think it explained well of what I was going to do for
my product.
• Weaknesses: I could of made my mood board better by adding more than
just the characters, I think I could of added different sets or the summary
of the show.
5. Time Management
• I think I did manage time well because I did every on the day that I put
down and completed them all. I completed all of them but 1 of them
needed a little bit of improvement.
• I think if I had more time for the final product, I think I could make it
better and add more detail to the product.
• I did everything on time and handed it in on the same day I was going to
do.
6. Technical Qualities
They both use red and white because they both
use the same colour scheme.
They also both use a similar font because they
small and stand out a lot.
They both have 2 actors from the cast in
because it says a lot about what the show is like.
They both have a different colours in
background.
They both have characters but 2 are female and
2 are male.
The font colours are different, the top magazine
is gold and red where as the bottom one is red
and white
7. Aesthetic Qualities
The product that I made is about a show called
Brooklyn 99 and I think the product looks good
because I think its creative and it stands out to other
magazine covers.
I could improve by taking more time on it, adding
more info about the magazine on the front cover and
maybe change the colours to match.
8. Audience Appeal
I think I got my target audience well because I
got the colours that my audience would like and
wrote about stuff my audience would agree with
what I said about the show and the characters.
In the 2 page spread I talk about all the
stuff in a way that my audience would
understand and like the way it flows.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The colours worked well with the image
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? Get rid of the gold text and
change the colour.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The fonts worked well with the magazine
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Should of wrote more about the actors in real life.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– Liked the way everything matched like the colours,
font and image.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? Make the images less blurry so it
stands out more
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I agree that everything matched
and looked good.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? The fonts being good, I think I could
of picked some better fonts.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• If I could make any changes to my work it
would be the fonts because I don’t think they
worked with the colour scheme I was going
for. The gold just didn’t work with the red and
white so I would make that changes I would
make.
