Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. Research
I felt that I worked well with my research and the material that I collected to use for my
research that I could of included into my final production. I felt that my research did help my
product in some way, this is because of some of the already ongoing ideas that I saw and
researched and realised that some could be used in my actual work. From my research I found
that the style of game I wanted to make was in fact very easy to research so I was able to
explore some good options and look into ideas of which I thought would help to influence they
way I wanted mine too look like. Due to this I had many different things to take idea from and
use in my production. However during my research when I first started to do it I was confused
and didn’t know where to start of with doing it and had too take some time and figure what I
wanted too research.
To improve my research I believe that I could of taken more time in thinking what I wanted to
research and the methods that I wanted too research it in. this would have been based upon
how I would of tried to do some different ,methods of research such as maybe on animation
game websites.
4. Planning
• On a whole I felt that my planning went well as I was able make generally good ideas and
I was easily able to find some picture easy to use in my planning that I could possibly use in
my actual production and as it happens in actual fact I did use some image ideas that I got
from my planning. However I am of the opinion that I cloud of included some better ideas
in the planning and also believe that I should made some more intial ideas so that I would
have had some more too fall back on if need be was necessary.
