3. Research
• A strength of my research was that I found an older magazine which
ended up influencing my final product design.
• A weakness of my research is that I didn’t explain why I chose the
examples I did.
4. Planning
• The main strength of my planning is that I showed clearly what I wanted to
do for my front cover.
• One weakness of my planning was that I didn’t do any for my double page
spread. I completely forgot about it at the start,
5. Time Management
• My time management was poor as I left most of my work until last minute,
meaning I was behind deadlines. A factor of that is that I was ill, but I have
caught up with my work. We all gucci
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think the colours I have used
on my magazine work as the
title is rust. That is why I
chose the brown that I used. I
thought that white would go
with it as they are contrasting
colours.
I made the background
black and white as I felt
it is appropriate to the
style of the magazine.I had the secondary
article run down the
blade of the sword as I
felt it looked aesthetically
pleasing.
8. Audience Appeal
I feel as if my product will appeal to my target audience as it is very specific and
my magazine features gritty, corroded fonts. My double page spread may appeal
to my audience as it is a band featured in a lot of metal playlists and collections.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The double page spread was very colourful and
psychedelic and there wasn’t too much text so
you aren’t overwhelmed
– I like the text used on the cover, the small one. It
looks almost 3d which is really cool
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The poster thing could be a bit more centred
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the colours that you have used in the magazine
cover.
– I also like the background of the double page spread, I
think is quite colourful.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I think you could add more writing in your double
page spread.
– The text in your double page is a bit blurry.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The font page looks very professional, the fonts look professional and
really stand out against the black and white background. The colour
scheme is really eye catching and goes with the metal theme of the
movie.
– The double spread is very vibrant the colours really pull the reader in
and give a sense of what the band will sound like.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– On the front cover, the mast head is not in the middle of the page
there for isn’t centre.
– The double spread could have had more of an article.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that my front cover looks professional and
that the colours are vibrant for my double page
spread.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree that my text is blurry. I didn’t have any
problem reading it.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
– I would perhaps make sure the fonts are more
clear and also add more text to my double page
spread as some of the fonts became pixelated and
my double page spread is lacking a proper article.
