4G is a high-speed network that combines internet technology with applications like Wi-Fi and WiMAX to provide speeds from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps. 4G aims to offer seamless global roaming across networks, high quality support for multimedia like video calling, and all-IP connectivity. It uses technologies like MIMO and LTE to achieve data rates over 100 Mbps on the move or 1 Gbps stationary through advanced transmission methods and all-digital network components.
I use this presentation for opening 4G Mobile Technology seminar sessions. Usually it will be continued with 1 other presentation on LTE, 1 on WiMAX II, and 1 on applications.
Our ultimate goal is to communicate with any type of information with anyone, at anytime, from anywhere. This is possible with the aid of WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY.
4G refers to the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to 3G and 2G technologies. 4G will be Convergence Platform providing clear advantages in terms of Coverage, Bandwidth, Power Consumption, variety Services ranging from Pop-Up advertisements to Location-Based services and IP Data casting ones.
4G technology in wireless communications and it's standards.

The 5th generation wireless technology, abbreviated as 5G, are the proposed next telecommunications standards beyond the current 4G Advanced standards. The Next Generation Mobile Networks Alliance defines the following requirements:
The data rates of tens of megabits per second for tens of thousands of users
Data rates of 100 megabits per second for metropolitan areas
2. DEFINITION
Forth Generation of mobile technology
4G is a network that operates on Internet
technology, combines it with other
applications and technologies such as Wi-
Fi and WiMAX, and runs at speeds ranging
from 100 Mbps (in cell-phone networks) to
1 Gbps (in local Wi-Fi networks). – WWRF
MAGIC – Mobile multimedia, Anytime
anywhere
3. OBJECTIVES
Spectrally efficient system
High network capacity
Nominal data rate of 100 Mbps at high speeds and 1 Gbps
at stationary conditions as defined by the ITU-R
Data rate of at least 100 Mbps between any two points in
the world
Smooth handoff across heterogeneous network
Seamless connectivity and global roaming across multiple
networks
High quality of service for next generation multimedia
support (real time audio, high speed data, HDTV video
content, mobile TV, etc)
Interoperable with the existing wireless standards
All IP system, packet switched network
