4G technology provides high-speed wireless internet access and multimedia services to users. It allows downloading of full-length movies within 5 minutes and streaming of high-definition content. 4G uses packet switching for voice and video calls, using network resources only when transmitting data. While 4G provides higher speeds and bandwidth than 3G, implementing the new technology poses challenges such as high costs and the need for more advanced hardware.

4. 1-G Refers to the first-generation of wireless telephone technology, mobile telecommunications. These are the analog telecommunications standards that were introduced in the 1980s. The radio signals that 1G networks use are analog. DRAWBACKS: 1G Poor voice quality Poor battery life Large phone size No security Frequent call drops Limited capacity Poor handoff reliability.

5. 2-G Is based on GSM or in other words global system for mobile communication. Was launched in Finland in the year 1991 2g networks use digital signals. enabled services such as text messages, picture messages and MMS DRAWBACKS: Requires strong digital signals to help mobile phones work. If there is no network coverage in any specific area, digital signals would be weak. 2G The GSM is a circuit switched, connection oriented technology, where the end systems are dedicated for the entire call session. This causes inefficiency in usage of bandwidth and resources. The GSM-enabled systems do not support high data rates. They are unable to handle complex data such as video.

This gives the manufactures the opportunity to produce more affordable user friendly 4G compatible devices . 4G is capable of providing new horizon of opportunity for both existing and startup telephone companies.
