Working Title:
Film magazine
Product’s Purpose:
The products purpose is to be off a film magazine style with a double page spread and front cover.
Genre:
Film magazine, reading material.
Content
My product is based on being a film magazine spread, consisting of a front cover and double page
spread. My film magazine is going to be based upon the fast and furious franchise, in particular the
6th film of the franchise.
Audience:
My audience is mainly aimed at men but it can also be seemed to be aimed at females as well as
some social groups of female like these types of films depending on who features in the film. The
age of my gender should be around 13-50 as 13 is normally the age of which you start to watch
films in these types of genres. A persons social status does not matter when it comes to your
social status at long as you have an interest in films and the genre if which it is aimed to be in.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
My product won’t include any offensive material in my opinion but if it does happen to then I am of
the opinion that it won’t include any material that is seen to be too offensive or if not barely
offensive at all to any group/religion. There isn’t really any way of which I can restrict younger
people from viewing it, the only way I could do is , if they went to buy it, too have a minimum age
restriction on it so that you would not be able to buy it unless of the minimum age of (12/13). I am
certain that there isn’t any material that will offend anyone, judging by the style of the magazine
which it is aimed to be at, I will believe that it won’t offend anyone unless, they have their own
specific reasons/beliefs. In the magazine style that I am making it really shouldn’t include any
material that would offend anyone. Yes, I will be using characters (actors names) too referee to in
my film magazine especially in the double page spread. I also may be using the style name of a
film magazine that already exists, but I am going to try and change it slightly so that it doesn’t look
exactly the same as the original name/logo. By me changing the naming style of the magazine
slightly it shouldn’t look the same compared to the actual name. I do believe that it will be
sufficiently different from any other existing product of this specific genre.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
