2. Audience Profile
My game is a haunted escape room. The audience for my game would be targeted at
both genders but maybe include more aspects that would approach to a male
audience, this is because as I said earlier in my initial research about how 70% of
gamers are men, so it would make sense to create a game that was more appropriate
for 70% and not 30%. Also with my game being horror themed people might believe
in the stereotype that boys enjoy horror movies more then girls however this is
untrue and therefore the horror theme would not affect the gender balance. My
audiences social status wouldn’t be that important but they would have to have a
steady income because they’d have to be able to afford the game console and the
game. They would have to have a steady income because if they didn't’t and could
only afford necessities then a game console would fall into the category of luxuries no
necessities. The age group would be from 17 -25, it wouldn't be suitable for any
younger audiences because the game is horror themed and a young audience might
not enjoy the horror side.
3. Style sheet
Seen as my game follows a horror theme my color
scheme will have to contain different colors that
correspond with the style. I was looking at dark colors
that would be atmospheric because if I want to create a
horror style game then it would have to be set at night to
create a mysterious atmosphere. For example a black
night sky with purple tones looks very spooky and would
coincide well for the back drop off the game. As well as
this I could include a bright moon which is also
associated with horror. Another common aspect for the
scenery would be to have tall black trees to create a
sense of unsafety.
The color scheme would follow colors like
this, grunge dark colors.

product, simple
animations that are
affective because it
doesn't make the rooms
look over crowded and
the player can focus on
the objects around that
help him complete the
game.
